World Cup Scramble!
“Hello everyone! Augustine Cornilius Eckerman here LIVE from Eckerman Arena! It’s a packed house and for good reason! We’re about to witness the first ever World Cup Scramble!”
“The way it works is one member from each team will take to the field. The timer will start and whomever has the most points at the end will be declared the winner. Should we have multiple people with the same score we’ll enter sudden death where the first point scored determines the winner!”
“Now we’ll take a look at each team’s representative!”
Apricus City: Hugo Knight Calere: Dalia Magdy Nivis: Yelena Sokolov Crepusculum: Rhea Drakos Fae: Comet Moth Kwailai: Linnaeus Mashiro Réunion: Cosette Barbeau Ricusare: Ji-Young Mulberry
“I’m not going to lie to you folks, this is going to be a little hard to keep up with. I’m going to do my best calling the action but well..there is going to be action happening everywhere so just sit back and enjoy the show.”
“Everyone has taken to the field so..that only means one thing! Time to DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
“And we’re off to as chaotic of a start as you could have imagined! Everyone is scrambling for the ball..guess that’s why we call these things scrambles huh?” Clearing his throat “Anyway Knight with possession first but it doesn’t last long as he’s sandwiched between Mashiro and Drakos, no choice so he kicks it away to avoid getting crushed between shields!”
“It’s Mulberry with the recovery, she flips through the air and off of a platform, landing on another but Moth kicks the platform sending her flying! Moth gets control and leaps off of Barbeau’s shield kicking it to the goal and scoring a point!”
Fae: 1
“We’re right back at it as Sokolov shows her impressive skill weaving a path through all the other players with ease! She gets near the goal but Magdy is there waiting and makes the steal! Magdy kicks it in for a quick point!”
Fae: 1 Calere: 1
“This time it’s Knight and Drakos battling over the ball near one of the goals! They kick it back and forth, bouncing off each other’s shields but Mulberry slides between them and with perfect timing headbutts the ball into the goal!”
Fae: 1 Calere: 1 Ricusare: 1
“I’m starting to lose track of who’s got control, it’s looking like an all out brawl out there! Knight finally getting away from the pack and using his experience to ricochet the ball off a platform and into the goal!”
“Almost instantly though it’s Mashiro leaping off of the shields of his opponents and intercepting a mid-air ball to kick it half-way down the field and into the goal!”
Fae: 1 Calere: 1 Ricusare: 1 Apricus: 1 Kwailai: 1
“We see a few more rapid fire goals back to back to back as Drakos strikes, followed by Sokolov, and a sneaky shot from Barbeau! Everyone is on the board now and we got ourselves a heck of a game!”
Fae: 1 Calere: 1 Ricusare: 1 Apricus: 1 Kwailai: 1 Crepusculum: 1 Nivis: 1 Réunion: 1
Cue the montage of total chaos as the most insane goals in Hecaball history are scored one after the other. The players getting more aggressive as time goes on and the shield clashes and showdowns become just a little bit more personal.
Fae: 4 Calere: 3 Ricusare: 3 Apricus: 4 Kwailai: 3 Crepusculum: 3 Nivis: 4 Réunion: 3
“Time is starting to tick down, it’s the final minutes of the game and the crowd is in a frenzy! I can barely hear myself think with all this noise! You’d think they were gonna little cause this place to shake apart! Luckily we’re in the most well constructed arena ever to exist!”
Fae: 5 Calere: 4 Ricusare: 5 Apricus: 5 Kwailai: 4 Crepusculum: 4 Nivis: 5 Réunion: 4
“Sokolov with control but she’s bumped by Moth causing her to crash into Knight! Sokolov and Knight are having words! Moth trying to sneak away after causing some chaos! Mashiro out of nowhere tries to take a shot but is knocked off the platform by Magdy! Magdy gets shoved off right after by Drakos and goes tumbling through the air!”
“Barbeau leaps through the air and makes an attempt to gain control but is knocked off course as Moth flies off a platform and leaps off of Barbeau’s shield sending her down and just barely missing crashing into Knight and Sokolov!”
“Moth looking to have a clear shot but has seemingly forgotten about Mulberry! Mulberry with the brilliant plan of mixing herself in with the chaos earlier and keeping the attention off of her!”
“Mulberry and Moth struggle for control as Drakos rushes at them. Moth tries to latch his shield against Mulberry’s in order to spin her away but mid-spin Mulberry deactivates her shield momentarily, sending Moth stumbling into Drakos and giving herself just enough time to reactivate her shield and bash the ball into the goal!”
Fae: 5 Calere: 4 Ricusare: 6 Apricus: 5 Kwailai: 4 Crepusculum: 4 Nivis: 5 Réunion: 4
“There you have it folks! Time is up and Ricusare is going to walk away the winners of the first ever World Cup Scramble! We saw a little bit of everything here. Strength, speed, agility, focus, trickery, and much more! Remember though, this is just a taste of what’s coming up! Next weekend the World Cup begins!”
“You aren’t going to want to miss a single game! By the looks of it we’ve already got some rivalries brewing, some words being said, and some people being pulled apart!”
“Thank you for tuning in everyone! Have a wonderful evening! I’ll see you all next weekend!”

“Join the Apricus University Argonauts and proudly wear your green and white!”
- Augustine Cornelius Eckerman
So @apricuscity is a world created by two extremely talented writers and they established a game called “Hecaball.” My character Night (who can be found here) happens to play for the Apricus University team, and I just felt inspired to see the sport come to life! I’m extremely proud of this piece. <3

Hecaball Round One.
“Hello Apricus! Augustine Cornelius Eckerman here with a brand new season of Apricus’ favorite sport..HECABALL!”
“As you can see we’re live from the newly built Eckerman Arena! It’s the first time this baby has been used for proper games! Isn’t that exciting?”
“Before we kick things off I’d like to bring up something important. We learned the other day that one of our beloved players, Leiko Ishii has gone missing. On behalf of all of us in the Apricus Sports Association, Hecaball League, and Apricus City itself, we hope Leiko is found safe and sound as quickly as possible.”
“That being said, it’s time to kick things off! The talking is done, the waiting is over, DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
Results:
Apricus University Argonauts defeat Cheshire Hounds 2-1. Sanura Bakir put up the first point for the Argonauts. Rosalind Gatz scored for the Hounds. Margot Cadieux scored the final point for the Argonauts right before time expired.
North Apricus Sharks defeat Apricus City Freelancers 1-0. An incredible back and forth game that went to sudden death. Rorik Levin proved his skill and managed to score the single point of the game.
Delta Town Dragons defeat Bureau Behemoths 4-3. Debut match for the Dragons concludes with an upset win. Jae Aryl scored first for the Behemoths. Mona Sterling put up another point. Nikolas Ariti put up a point for the Dragons. Jade Black followed up with another point for the Dragons. Kelly Maza scored again for the Behemoths. Nikolas Ariti put up the third Dragons point. Callie Dior scored the fourth and final point winning it for the Dragons.
Cherry Hills Knights have a bye week.
West Apricus Dwarves defeat Solis Scarabs 3-2. Auburn struck first for the Scarabs. Lionel Mye returned the favor for the Dwarves. Nilah Banders snuck one in for the Dwarves. Rudolph Donnerov hit back for the Scarabs. Sangria Medvedia relied on Lapis Hamelin’s defense to stop the Scarabs and managed to break away and score the final point for the Dwarves.
Larsen’s Leviathans defeat Ciar Titans 1-0. An extremely chaotic game that officials struggled to maintain control over. Hugo Knight and Kei Kawakami seemed to have words every now and again, having to be pulled apart on one occasion. There were quite a few hard hits which sent players to the team physicians to be checked out before heading back out on to the field. Nerys De Bellis scored the one and only point of the game after breaking away from what seemed like an all out brawl and getting launched to the goal by Van Marigold.

Hecaball News!
“Hello everyone! Augustine Cornelius Eckerman here with another brief update.”
“The Delta Town Dragons have announced their first major signing. Nikolas Ariti has been recruited from the minor league. Nikolas makes his living as a chef. He’s said to make incredible meals but prefers to stick to his street vending as opposed to work for a restaurant. He was listed in the top ten prospects for Hecaball making him a great signing for the Dragons.”
“The Apricus University Argonauts have announced a signing. Margot Cadieux will be stepping in to take the place of Lily Onyx who graduated. Margot originally hails from Réunion. She’s a second year student at the university, in an interview she mentioned her parents encouraging her to try out for the Hecaball team. Though she’s a bit on the small side she makes up for it with some incredible natural agility. In the interview she mentions being a film buff, and a lover of history.”
“And finally, the North Apricus Sharks have announced who will be taking the place of the departing Linnaeus Mashiro. The Sharks have landed the number one prospect, Rorik Levin. Nicknamed “The Lion” for his sheer ferocity on the field. Rorik’s family originally hails from Nivis. He tends to keep to himself and has never once accepted any interview request.”

Charity Snowball Fight!
“Greetings Apricus! Are you ready for the snowfall that’s about to start? I hope so since our annual charity snowball fight will take place next week!”
“For those of you unaware, it works like this. Each Hecaball team may send as many representatives as they wish. It’s every team for themselves! You score points by landing clean hits on opposing teams!”
“If a team can capture an opposing team’s snow fort that’s extra points!”
“All ticket sales, and bets will go towards charity!”
“But this year we have a special bonus round!”
“This year we’ll be constructing a giant snow base! Once the first part of the snowball fight has concluded, we will move to where the base is. From this point on it’s everyone for themselves, and everyone trying to claim the flag planted somewhere in the base!”
“It’s not going to be easy though, you’ll have to deal with all the other players but you’re also going to have to deal with the Winter Guardian!” The camera shows a heavily armored individual wielding a variety of snowball shooting weaponry.
“Good luck! You’re going to need it!”
“Tickets to the event are on sale now! You can also place any bets you wish!”
“See you next week!”

Hecaball Championship!
“Welcome everyone to Cheshire Arena here in Solis Heights! It’s a packed house as we get ready to witness history! The council members, and Mayor Lowell himself are here watching! It’s a who’s who of celebrity guests as well!”
“We know this has been quite the strange season but much like the city itself, we move forward to bigger and better things! Tonight you’re going to see two of the best teams the league has to offer battle it out!”
“The Leviathans, seven time league champions. The Hounds, an underdog team that got here against all odds. No matter who walks away with the victory tonight both teams should be incredibly proud at what they’ve accomplished this season!”
“Before we get started allow me to give a special thank you to tonight’s sponsors. Deadly Darling Weapons, Cheshire Financial, Tacos ‘N More, and Talos Cybernetics!”
“Now now what you’ve been waiting for...both teams have taken the field and the crowd is about to blow the roof off this place. For one final time this season...DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
“We’re off and running with as chaotic a start as one could expect. We’ve got clashes all over the field as both teams struggle to gain control of the ball! Kawakami attempts to break away but he’s stopped by Ayana, Ayana gets control and passes to Gatz, Gatz goes to pass but it’s intercepted as Marigold dives from a platform and headbutts it over to De Bellis! De Bellis looks for a shot but it’s kicked away by Baskerville, Blackfoot leaps from a platform and receives it, takes a shot but it’s it’s knocked away by Hjalmar!”
“Marigold with control again but he’s knocked into a platform by Blackfoot. Marigold gives Blackfoot a look as he recovers, both players are trash talking but Kawakami and Gatz get their respective teammates back on track for now. Ayana knocked his way through Hjalmar and De Bellis using his size and strength! Ayana gets to the goal and takes a shot but Marigold and Kawakami launch De Bellis through the air, she gets there just in time to flip and kick the ball away! We remain scoreless as halftime approaches.”
“We’ve got Marigold and Blackfoot going at it as they fight for control of the ball! Marigold kicks it away but Blackfoot gets a late hit, Marigold gets in his face as they clash shields! Both shove each other back but get a warning by the ref before it can escalate!”
“De Bellis gets the ball and leaps off of Kawakami’s shield, Hjalmar flies off a spinning platform and holds his shield up for De Bellis to leap off of in mid-air! De Bellis sends it flying with a beautiful kick and gets the point! Leviathans are up 1-0!”
“The clock is ticking down as both teams rush again for control! Baskerville gets there first and spins around Marigold, passing it to Ayana, Ayana leaps to a platform and kicks it down the field before Gatz jumps towards him! Ayana plants himself on the platform and latches his shield on Gatz’s and flings her down the field! Gatz flies past Kawakami and headbutts the ball in to tie it up as we go to the half! The score is 1-1!”
“Please welcome our halftime performers, Void Katz, and their opening act Free Bird!”
“Fantastic halftime show wasn’t it folks? You can always count on Void Katz to do something special and let’s give it up for Free Bird for that wonderful opening performance! I look forward to seeing more of him!”
“Both teams are back on the field as we kick off the second half!”
“Everyone is giving it all they’ve got despite still being worn out from the first half. You can tell how exhausted these athletes are but still they fight on! That’s what separates the best from everyone else! Baskerville finally breaks away but gets stopped by Kawakami, Baskerville passes over to Blackfoot but Marigold shoves him off the platform and passes the ball down to Hjalmar, Hjalmar looking for an opening but it’s stolen by Gatz, Gatz only has a minute to think before De Bellis flips over her and attempts a steal, Gatz manages to slip by De Bellis and kick to Ayana.”
“Ayana gets a little closer to the goal before he gets locked up by Kawakami. Kawakami manages to kick the ball away to Marigold, Marigold sees an opening and takes a shot but it’s deflected by Baskerville. The ball is loose and everyone chases after it! We’ve got Baskerville, Marigold, Ayana, and De Bellis on one spinning platform and we’ve got Blackfoot, Gatz, Kawakami, and Hjalmar on another! The platforms are spinning rapidly as the ball gets passed back and forth between players on either side!”
“Hjalmar and Blackfoot take a bit of a tumble, Gatz and Kawakami leap off to check on their teammates. The ball winds up with Marigold but he’s shield bashed by Ayana and sent flying. De Bellis gets the ball, rushes forward and flips off of Baskerville’s shield flinging herself down the field! Baskerville though gets a launch from Ayana and meets De Bellis, they fight for control but De Bellis kicks it away before Baskerville can take a shot.”
“Everything has descended into chaos again as the time starts to tick down! The crowd is on their feet and this entire arena is shaking with excitement! Ayana has locked up with Kawakami, Gatz is holding De Bellis back, We’ve got Baskerville and Hjalmar fighting for position, and Marigold has the ball but he’s trapped by Blackfoot!”
“Blackfoot and Marigold start kicking the ball at each other and deflecting it back with their shields! The ball is picking up an insane amount of speed as it bounced around! Marigold and Blackfoot moving closer to each other which just causes the ball to ricochet at an even higher speed! Their shields might break at this point!”
“Marigold finally manages to out maneuver Blackfoot but the ball goes flying down the field! The ball is heading right towards De Bellis but she’s locked up with Gatz! De Bellis is going to take a nasty hit to the back of her head if that connects! Gatz sees it coming, latches her shield on to De Bellis, pulls De Bellis out of the way only to have the ball smack into Gatz’s unshielded arm!”
“Gatz winces and holds her arm, she seemed to have pulled De Bellis to safety, De Bellis checking on Gatz as the ball ricochets from platform to platform. It bounces back to Kawakami and Ayana. Ayana with all he’s got left manages to literally press his shield against Kawakami’s and lifts Kawakami up out of the way so he can kick the oncoming ball right into the goal!”
“Time runs out a second later and the Hounds have done it with a score of 2-1! Both teams are heading over to check on Gatz who’s been taken to the sidelines, a great show of sportsmanship there.”
Winner: Cheshire Hounds 2-1
“It’s unfortunate that something like that had to take place but nevertheless the Hounds have done something they haven’t been able to do in years! The Hounds are this year’s league champions! Take nothing away from the Leviathans who played with everything they had and will be right back to it next season!”
“We’ll keep you updated on the condition of Rosalind Gatz. For now though, thank you all for joining me. This has been a rather unique season to say the least. I hope everyone attending the game had a fantastic time, and I hope all of you watching from somewhere else did as well!”
“I’m Augustine Cornelius Eckerman and it’s been my privilege to bring you all this fantastic Hecaball action! Goodnight folks!”

World Cup Round One!
“Hello Apricus and everyone watching around the world! I’m Augustine Cornelius Eckerman live from Eckerman Arena where the first round of the World Cup is about to kick off!”
“And I’m Mayor Lowell here to call the action alongside Mr. Eckerman! We’ve got plenty of honored guests in attendance. Plenty of world leaders, and their associates. This is truly a can’t miss event!”
“Now remember, while winning and losing obviously does effect points it’s not the end if you lose. The tournament is not running on elimination rules. Instead all the teams will play each other and the two teams with the most overall points will play in the finals!”
“Points are decided in a number of categories including: goals scored, games won, overall performance, crowd favorites, and sportsmanship.”
“One more thing, unlike regular season games there is no sudden death. If the score is tied at the end the game is considered a draw.”
“I see the crowd is already in a frenzy so let’s get the first round underway shall we? DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
Kwailai Yōkai Vs. Réunion Revolutionaries:
“You may recognize a few of Kwailai’s players, the Mashiros of course part of a well known Detective Agency that has helped Apricus out on several occasions.”
“We’re starting off with the Yōkai on offense working together quite well. They may have a slight teamwork advantage over the somewhat freshmen Revolutionaries.”
“L. Mashiro makes a break for it but he’s almost knocked silly by an unexpected hit from Baset! Basset passes to Farrow before clashing with H. Mashiro. Farrow looks around and narrowly avoids Tendo before passing again to Barbeau who takes a shot and gets the first point!”
Revolutionaries: 1
“Right back into the action as the two teams clash head on. It doesn’t take long for the Mashiros to show off their teamwork, passing back and forth before suddenly passing to Hinode who flips and kicks it in to tie things up.”
Revolutionaries: 1 Yōkai: 1
“We spend a good deal of time with both teams showing off defensive prowess, swapping out players here and there if anything to gain some experience. Nobody is able to gain any advantage as the clock ticks down.”
“It seems like Chapelle is getting under the skin of some of the Yōkai players though with her remarks and taunting. H. Mashiro squares off with her despite the fact that neither has the ball. Chapelle hasn’t technically touched anyone so there is no penalty but things are about to erupt!”
“Mashiro is pulled back by Tendo but Chapelle whispers something and giggles which makes Tendo turn back just as Mashiro eats a hit from Basset sending her into Tendo who wasn’t paying attention. Chapelle waves at the two before darting off and leaping from a platform and receiving a pass from Farrow. Chapelle passes to Farrow who kicks it in before time runs out and gives the Revolutionaries their first win..in unconventional fashion.”
Revolutionaries: 2 Yōkai: 1
Réunion Revolutionaries win.
Apricus City Phoenixes Vs. Fae Unicorns:
“The Unicorns start off strong despite being a more or less untested team. Echo takes control of the ball and heads down the field but is quickly stopped by Knight. Knight tries to steal but Echo passes to Moth. Moth heads up to a platform and looks to jump but the platform is kicked by Gatz and Moth is sent flying. Marigold leaps up and gets control of the ball, dodging by Octavia but he’s knocked out of the air by Plum!”
“The ball rockets over to a platform and ricochets off of it spinning through the air. Moth is back and regains control, managing to take a shot but it’s easily swatted away by Aryl and we got ourselves a match folks! Marigold manages his way over to gain control of the ball as it bounces off of Aryl’s shield and automatically passes it up to Knight who fakes a shot and passes to Bluebell who had swapped in for Gatz. Bluebell leaps up and lands a tremendous kick scoring the first point of the game!”
Phoenixes: 1
“Both teams are strong through the half but no scores have been made. Apricus may be the more experienced team here but Fae is putting up an excellent fight and stopping any progress Apricus looks to make! We see a few team member shifts as the game goes on.”
“Moth is seen trying to antagonize Night before Bluebell pulls Night away and tries to get the team to refocus. A bit of trickery here by Alvar and Larkin as they pass the ball back and forth but manage to duck behind their teammates leaving the Apricus players confused for a moment. Both players emerge again and Night heads off Alvar while Marigold corners Larkin..however neither of them have the ball!”
“It’s Moth heading to the goal and taking a shot but Aryl deflects it. Moth bounces it back but Aryl deflects again, Moth ricochets the ball over to Plum who sends it in but Aryl again with the save, Plum gets the ball which is now moving at high speed and fakes a shot but passes to Moth who kicks it making Aryl dive right as Moth is cornered by Night but it’s Larkin leaping off of Plum’s shield and knocking the ball in right as time expires.”
Phoenixes: 1 Unicorns: 1
Draw.
Calere Crocodiles Vs. Crepusculum Sentinels:
“Calere has a small bit of an edge when it comes to experience as the Crepusculum league is just getting started. Zaki gets control early on using his strength to power through some of the Sentinels defense but he’s stopped when he collides with E. Lykaios. The two powerhouses get into a shield clash as the ball rockets away and is retrieved by P. Lykaios who takes advantage of the distraction caused by his brother and scores the first point.”
Sentinels: 1
“The Crocodiles don’t take this laying down and are out in a full force charge. Magdy gets control and uses her teamwork with Omar to practically dance their way around the Sentinels. Magdy passes to Omar who finally kicks it away as he cornered by Chronis. It’s Drakos who gets the ball but she’s pulled into a clash against Zaki and the ball bounces up to a platform.”
“It’s Rashad who leaps out of nowhere and knocks P. Lykaios aside, brute forcing her way through and despite her size she gets the better of E. Lykaios, making her way down the field in a hurry and kicking the ball in to put Calere on the board!”
Sentinels: 1 Crocodiles: 1
“Time starts to tick down as both teams crank up the aggression. The Sentinels may have the size advantage but the Crocodiles are absolutely fearless as you’d expect from a Calere team! We’ve got clashes left and right and let me tell you there are some HARD hits being taken out there!”
“We finally see Zaki break away with the ball, he almost gets a shot before getting slammed between E. Lykaios and Chronis! Drakos gets the ball but is instantly at odds with Rashad and both clash even as they tumble off a platform. Omar gets control and takes a shot but it’s knocked away by P. Lykaios but Magdy leaps off of Omar’s shoulders and hits an incredible flip kick sending the ball in and pulling off the win for Calere!”
Sentinels: 1
Crocodiles: 2
Calere Crocodiles win.
Nivis Bears Vs. Ricusare Orangutans:
“It’s Mulberry right out of the gate, rushing to take control of the ball and weaving in and out of the crowd. She’s almost tripped up by Morozov but manages to retain control. She leaps up and passes to Durante who instantly passes across the field to Bae who slides between Federov and Orlov before sneaking in the early point!”
Orangutans: 1
“The Bears look a little annoyed at being shown up so early and they are rushing right down the middle of the field in formation. Orangutans having a bit of trouble keeping an eye on the ball as the Bears pass it back and forth between all four members in a strange pattern. An unconventional play but it seems to do what it’s meant to do.”
“It doesn’t take long before Federov, Orlov, and Morozov to form somewhat of a shield around Sokolov. Eventually Sokolov is bounced up by Federov, leaps off Orlov’s shield and scored a point to put Nivis on the board and prove they’ve got their own tactics.”
Orangutans: 1 Bears: 1
“Things are heating up as both teams begin to scramble. Much like in earlier games we’ve got shield clashes all over the field. Sokolov looking to repeat a performance but this time she’s stopped but Sinclair who knocks her aside and gains control.”
“Sinclair making his way down the field, only stopping when he’s confronted by Federov. Sinclair looking for a way out but opts to sneak in a pass to Bae who makes a little progress toward the goal. She takes a shot but it’s deflected by Orlov.”
“The ball floats over to a platform and is intercepted by Durante who quickly gets rid of it rather than eat what looked like an incoming tackle by Morozov. Mulberry gets control for a moment, narrowly avoiding a mid-air collision with Orlov. Mulberry spin kicks the ball over to Sinclair who kicks it in and scores for the Orangutans.”
Orangutans: 2 Bears: 1
“We’re right back into it as time starts to tick down but we’re seeing a whole new brand of aggression coming from the Bears. The Orangutans may be working well as a team but they haven’t had as much practice together as the Bears but credit where it’s due, they are hanging in there.”
“Sokolov finally breaks away from the crowd, she gets launched up by Federov and leaps off a platform to avoid Sinclair, Sokolov gets hit in mid-air by Mulberry but manages to pass in the last second possible. Orlov springs up and headbutts it in to tie up the score!”
Orangutans: 2 Bears: 2
“It’s near chaos as the seconds tick away, both teams trying to score one last point but the defense of both teams is holding strong. Morozov finally manages to get some air but he’s got the entire Bears line coming after him! He passes to Orlov who passes back to Federov, Federov takes a hit from Bae, Mulberry retrieves the ball but she takes a hit from Sokolov, Sinclair is there to recover but gets into a tussle with Morozov and the ball is loose! Durante is there with the recovery! Durante barely dodges a collision and passes to Sinclair, Sinclair takes a shot but it’s deflected by Orlov, Orlov manages to kick it off to Sokolov who charges down the field at the last second and rockets it in!”
Orangutans: 2 Bears: 3
Nivis Bears win.
“That’s going to do it for a tremendous first round! I suggest the winning teams don’t get too cocky though, round two is upon us this weekend! Plenty of games to go and even teams on the losing side today have scored a lot of overall points!”
“Thank you for joining us everyone! We’ll see you in a few days for round two!”

Hecaball Rounds Four and Five.
“Hello everyone, we’re here at Eckerman Arena! Welcome to a double feature! What’s that mean you ask? It means we’re going to be playing round four and round five back to back!”
“The reason for this is due to the world cup coming up soon, it will be taking place during our mid-season break so we figured we’d get the next two rounds out of the way so players can focus on the world cup!”
“Now let’s get the show on the road! DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
ROUND FOUR:
Ciar Titans have a bye week.
Cherry Hills Knights defeat Larsen’s Leviathans 3-2. De Bellis starts off strong with an early goal. Joosten scores her first point of the season to tie us up. Vinke scores again for the Knights. Marigold answers back. Delaney puts it away for the Knights right at the buzzer.
West Apricus Dwarves defeat Delta Town Dragons 2-1. It’s Banders starting off with a goal for the Dwarves. Dior scores for the Dragons. Myte plays off of Hamelin’s defense and scores the winning goal for the Dwarves.
Bureau Behemoths defeat Apricus University Argonauts 1-0. Believe it or not it was a back and forth game all the way to the end with neither team being able to break the other’s defense. It had the crowd on their feet the entire time! The game headed into overtime and the only goal was scored by an exhausted Aryl.
Cheshire Hounds defeat North Apricus Sharks 4-3. Dubhán scores first for the Sharks. Gatz comes back for the Hounds. Baskerville breaks away and scores again for the Hounds. Levin picks up a point for the Sharks. Ellis scores again for the Sharks. Blackfoot kicks it in at the buzzer for the Hounds. We head to overtime which sees Ayana score the winning goal.
Solis Scarabs defeat Apricus City Freelancers 2-1. Dermot scores a quick point. Auburn answers back. It comes down to wire but Donnerov puts it away for the Scarabs.
ROUND FIVE:
Delta Town Dragons have a bye week.
Apricus University Argonauts defeat Solis Scarabs 2-1. Night with the first point of the game. Donnerov scores for the Scarabs. Bakir scores the final point in overtime to win.
North Apricus Sharks defeat Cherry Hills Knights 1-0. This one turned ugly fairly quickly with both teams almost getting into a wild skirmish. Joosten seemed to suffer a minor injury and had to be taken back to the trainer’s rom. We’ve heard she’s ok. Another overtime ending saw Levin just barely manage to score a point for the Sharks. Levin looked a little banged up and exhausted as well. Amazing game.
Apricus City Freelancers over Bureau Behemoths 5-4. Gilios struck first. Dermot followed up. Maza scored for the Behemoths. Ves would put another in for the Behemoths. Wukong broke away and scored. Ling-Ling Bang showed her skill and put another point up. Sterling made an amazing goal. Aryl showed his offense skills and scored. Dermot scored again right at the end to put the game away.
Ciar Titans defeat Cheshire Hounds 2-1. Knight scored right away. Gatz with payback for the Hounds. Draco puts it away for the Titans.
Larsen’s Leviathans defeat West Apricus Dwarves 4-3. Marigold scored in the opening moments. Hamelin answered back. Myte would score again for the Dwarves. Kawakami put up a point. Banders broke away and scored for the Dwarves. De Bellis sneaks in a point. Hjalmar manages to score the final goal and put the game away.
“That’s going to do it for rounds four and five! We hope everyone enjoyed the incredible action! We’re now officially on our mid-season break but the action won’t stop! Get ready for the World Cup! It’ll be here before you know it!”
“Have a great night everyone!”

Hecaball Round Three.
“Greetings everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Has everyone been enjoying the season so far? I know I have! We’ve seen some amazing plays from players both old and new.”
“We’re once again back at Eckerman Arena for our third round so let’s not waste any time! DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
Delta Town Dragons defeat Cherry Hills Knights 3-2. A hard hitting game right from the start. We saw Delaney put up the first point for the Knights. Black answers back for the Dragons. Vinke continues to improve as she scores an impressive goal. McGuire breaks away from the crowd to tie it up. Ariti scores the final point right at the buzzer.
Apricus University Argonauts defeat Ciar Titans 2-1. Knight scores early on, powering through the crowd. Cadieux uses her agility to tie things up. We go into overtime which sees Donia score the game winning point.
Larsen’s Leviathans defeat Bureau Behemoths 1-0. A skirmish from beginning to end. The Leviathans pushed hard the entire game but the Bureau’s defense held firm. Only after a bit of trickery did the Leviathans FINALLY manage to score right before time ran out. The one and only point was scored by Hjalmar.
West Apricus Dwarves have a bye week.
Apricus City Freelancers defeat Cheshire Hounds 4-3. Gilios scores the opening point. Gatz answers back almost instantly. Dermot scores his first goal of the season. Baskerville evens things up. It’s Wukong breaking away to score another point. For the second time this round we go into overtime. In an upset it’s Ling-Ling Bang who scores first and puts it away.
North Apricus Sharks defeat Solis Scarabs 2-1. Levin shows his skill and puts the Sharks on the board first. Layla evens things up for the Scarabs. After a long drawn out brawl it’s Ellis who breaks off and manages to score the winning goal for the Sharks.

Hecaball Round Two.
“Hello Apricus City! I hope you’re doing well this evening. We’re back at Eckerman Arena for round two of Hecaball season! The world cup teams are beginning to arrive in Apricus so things are getting super exciting!”
“We’ll have to save World Cup talk for another day though, let’s get on with the round! DEPLOY THE HECABALL!”
Cherry Hills Knights defeat Apricus University Argonauts 2-1. Rory Delaney puts up the first point. M. Night answers back for the Argonauts. Despite obvious distraction Beatrix Vinke managed to break away from the pack and score the game winning point at the last second.
Solis Scarabs defeat Larsen’s Leviathans 1-0. An exciting back and forth game from start to finish. Things got a little heated between Van Marigold and Rudolph Donnerov, the two seem to be developing a friendly rivalry of sorts. Incredible defense shown by both sides but in the end it was Auburn proving her skill and scoring the one and only point of the game.
Ciar Titans defeat Delta Town Dragons 3-2. Finn McGuire rushes through the crowd and strikes first for the Dragons. Hugo Knight returns the favor right away and puts the Titans on the board. It’s Jade Black’s time to shine, putting up the second point for the Dragons after a great display of agility. Kira Hibiki scored her first point of the season to tie up the score. It came down to the wire but Safyra Draco hits an incredible ricochet shot to win it for the Titans.
Apricus City Freelancers have a bye week.
Bureau Behemoths defeat North Apricus Sharks 1-0. It was all out war in this one. The Sharks had a nearly unending assault against the Behemoths but the Bureau’s defense held firm. An amazing display from Rorik Levin on offense for the Sharks, and Jae Aryl’s defense for the Behemoths. Just as we thought we’d hit overtime it was Kelly Maza muscling through the line and scoring the game’s only point.
Cheshire Hounds defeat West Apricus Dwarves 4-3. Sage Ayana shows off some incredible strength, shrugging off the Dwarves defense and scoring in the first few minutes. Rosalind Gatz’s agility proved a difference maker as she flew from platform to platform and scored another point for the Hounds. Lionel Myte wasn’t about to let it go unanswered though, showing his explosive playstyle and striking back for the Dwarves. Lapis Hamelin surprised a few people by showing he can play offense just as well as defense, scoring the Dwarves their second goal of the night. Jamie Baskerville’s luck seems to have returned as he emerged from a team vs team clash with control of the ball and scored a mid-field goal. Nilah Banders would answer back though, using her smaller size to work through the many clashes happening and scoring with a beautiful flipping kick. Ultimately though it was Apisi Blackfoot launched from Rosalind Gatz’s shield and sent flying again by Ayana who made the final unexpected goal to win the game.
“That’s going to do it for round two! Thanks for joining us everyone! We’ll see you back here next week for round three!”
