“We’re going to need new dresses then!”

“It would be rude to decline. Besides, I’m quite looking forward to it!”

“Oho~, perhaps I could convince young Lily to accompany me. It would make a nice networking opportunity for her.”

“I hope there’s an open bar, but either way this sounds like a fun event! Never been to an opening before.”

“Whoa. It’s weird to see my name first on this invitation.”

“Well you are the more famous of us. It’s unsurprising in that regard at least. After all, we’ve worked very hard to get you the status you’ve accrued.”

“Ah~! I still can’t believe we got to play at a Hecaball game! We’re totally gonna blow up after that! Man, did you hear the way they were all cheering? That was unreal!”

“For sure! Looks like we have some pretty big expectations to live up to now!”

A message to Rock Candy from Augustine Cornelius Eckerman, President of the Apricus Hecaball League.

"I'd like to once again thank you for playing a halftime show during the season. I've sent this message to inquire about another performance. We plan to have a grand halftime show during the Hecaball finals which will include both yourselves, and Void Katz."

"We will be sending a message to Void Katz as well. If your schedule permits it we would love to have you perform. Please let us know if you are available. Thanks again."

"Hey O! What's our schedule look like?"

"Oh, I think we can just squeeze that in."

"Hell yeah! There's no way we're missing out on this! We gotta get a set ready, fast!"

Cheering filled the Taco Dome as the two girls took center stage. They waved excitedly, waiting for the sound to die down a bit before the brighter one spoke.

“HELLOOOOOOOOO APRICUS!” Another brief bout of cheering before she continued. “In case you missed us before, I’m Opal!”

“Jasper here too~! As our gracious host mentioned, we’re Rock Candy, and we’re here to rock your brains out!” She blew a quick kiss out to the crowd along with a wink, and they started roaring once again.

“We’re gonna kick it off with a fan favorite to start! Here’s Sugar & Spice!” A last bout of cheering from the crowd as the lights turned down for the show.

The music started and the pair launched into their choreography. The moves went back and forth between completely synced to mirrored, their voices struck a pleasant tone, Jasper carrying the lower end and Opal on the harmony.

Their bodies twisted over and around each other, trading places and allowing the other to take the spotlight for their solos. It was an energetic performance full of driving guitar riffs and bubbly synths that perfectly complimented the two vocalists.

The set wasn’t long, only a few songs, but it was enough to get a good portion of the audience out of their seats. The cheers at the end of the set were deafening, and the girls were absolutely beaming when they took their leave, bouncing and waving all the way.

How did it feel getting to make your big debut during one of the last games of the Hecaball season? Not many people can say that.

"It was an absolute blast! I just hope we could keep the crowed hyped up."

"It was an amazing opportunity! I still don't think it's fully sunk in yet just how many people we played in front of. Talk about a thrill!"

"Yeah, feels like we finally hit the big time. I can't wait to see what comes next!"

Well, it seems a gift was left for the dynamic pop rock duo. As mysterious and eccentric as it seemed. A medium sized black box, big enough for a small canvas, and a black envelope awaited them among the fan mail. The letter adorned with a crimson wax seal, with an Ouroboros etched into it. Eccentric indeed. If not just being over the top for the sake of it.

"See? Told ya' we were big. We're already getting fan mail."

"Just shut up and see what it is, Jas."

"This seal's kinda weird though. Wonder who it's from."

"Well, we'll never know until you open the damn letter, will we?"

To Rock Candy

"Hey, you two wanna perform during the tournament? We have an opening and I liked your sound during the Hecaball halftime show."

"Are you kidding?! That sounds like a dream come true!"

"We'd absolutely love to!"

“And I’m Jasper~.”

“And together, we’re musical sensation Rock Candy! We’re doing a special AMA for all you amazing fans, so be sure to send us some questions!”

“Wow, this place looks beautiful! Don’t you think so Jas?”

“For sure. Man, the staircase is so big. Everything’s gold. This is really something else.”

Both of the idols were of course dressed for the occasion, each sporting a black dress, each with their own accompaniments. Pink and red lace respectively rounded the trimming of each dress, and their signature bows were firmly nestled atop their heads.

Opal is definitely not a fighter by any means, but she is temperamental behind the scenes. I think this song works pretty well to get across the levels of general frustration that would result in her actually throwing hands, but it's also a decent choice when interpreting it as a battle of the bands type boss with her and Jasper rocking out on stage.
