Some sketches for tdc Mermaid AU

1. Aughra is an ancient oyster. The Crystal is the giant pearl hatched by her XD

2. Brea meets skekLach and skekOk. She wanted to see the Lords too bad and swam too deep, where her eyes can't see a thing, and she got lost. They won't do any harm to her of course, after finding out she's a princess. They'd even escort her to the caves of Grot, where she'll accidently meet Deet. Also Brea, as all female Gelf mermaids, is a flying fish

3. Since the Skeksis are anglerfish, their lanterns mean a lot for them. If you want to hurt them - certainly go for the lantern. And yeah, that's exactly how skekTek was punished in this AU, they took his lantern instead of the eye

I managed to get some Dark Crystal trading cards (as well as Return to Oz stickers, which I’ll include on another post). The cards are very cool! I wish I’d gotten a Skeksis card, but I’m still happy I picked these up. One of the cards has urSu!!

Will definitely pick up another pack of these if I ever run across them. They’re so neat!
