Of Atlantean descent Maddie Fenton

I've been thinking about a few things specifically Maddie being of Atlantean descent the line she comes from was minor royalty that specialises specifically in protection (Family, People, Land etc.)

Her great-great-great-grandfather was estranged from his family due to falling in love with a human woman who showed such passion in wanting to help get rid of pollution and help sea and on-land wildlife that were seriously hurt by man-made machines recover and be released into the wild once more and after a whirlwind romance with adventure and soft touches years later they had a child and they couldn't be happier.

But due to a complicated family matter her great- great-great-grandfather's Father called him back home to Atlantis, her great-great-great-grandfather did not expand on the issue any further. He claimed in one of the old letters Maddie found that he'd be back soon and not to worry about him

But in his absence, her great-great-great-grandmother fell sick with a deathly Illness that killed her before her great-great-great-grandfather could return and it was in fact her Great-great-great-grandmother's neighbour who found her dead and her child (Maddie's great-great-grandfather) in the crib next to her bed crying for his dead mother's attention.

The neighbour of course called the police who in return came with child protective services that placed her great-great-grandfather in a foster Family due to not finding her great-great-grandfather's Father.

Her great-great-great-grandfather came back only to find everything he knew gone his Wife? Nowhere to be found, his Son? Can't be found. Maddie's great-great-great-grandfather stricken with grief over the Family he lost soon died from Heartbreak.

But her great-great-grandfather had kept photos of himself as a baby with his Mother and a Ring.. a Ring that was as he was told placed next to him in the crib he was lying in as he was found that fateful night by his Mother's neighbour.

The Ring became an Heirloom passed from generation to generation. until Maddie finally got her curious little hands on it on her tenth Birthday and Maddie knew.. she knew that there was something special about that Ring that was so beautiful with shells and fish-shaped crystals that were littered across the ring in a pattern and little ten-year-old Maddie was right the artefact as she had realised it wasn't just a ring had helped her breath underwater she had gills! And scales! But sadly no tail... but little Maddie was ecstatic!

After She and Jack found out about Dan and Eliie? Well, they welcomed both with a big bear hug courtesy of Jack and his Joy of finally being able to pamper younger children again. Both were apparently de-aged due to them not being very stable in this timeline but Maddie and Jack couldn't careless they were just so happy that there were no more secrets between all of them and that they could finally be a truly Happy family but ofcourse before that She and Jack had forced Vlad into therapy and he's slowly redeeming himself.

Now nothing could surprise the Fenton Family anymore!

Pod 153 (narrating): 9S hears a sound. He looks up to see 2B standing before him with a calm expression.

9S: Oh, 2B! Glad you're safe. I was just putting a logic virus in the enemy's central--

Pod 153 (narrating): 9S realizes something.

2B: Say, 9S...

Pod 153 (narrating): Her eye covering is gone.

2B: It's cold here, so...

Pod 153 (narrating): She holds a weapon in her hand.

2B: I want you to warm me.

Pod 153 (narrating): And her eyes... are crimson.

9S: She's infected!?

Pod 153 (narrating): Her white blade crashes down on 9S with the swiftness of lightning. 9S blocks the blow with his scabbard.

9S: Damn it! How could this happen?

2B: YoRHa's existence in this world has no meaning.

9S: Requesting access to 2B's motor system! Administer emergency vaccine!

Pod 153 (narrating): His request is denied. 2B swings her sword again, continuing her frenzied dance.

2B: We must stop the tragedy that recurs without end in this meaningless world.

9S: 2B, stop!

2B: Tell me, 9S...

Pod 153 (narrating): With the smallest of openings, 2B's blade finds its mark.

2B: Wouldn't it be wonderful to fade away together?

Pod 153 (narrating): The blade cuts into 9S's armor. A bright red message appears in 9S's vision:

Proposal: Destroy YoRHa unit 2B.

9S: I could never do that!

Pod 153 (narrating): 2B's sword swiftly pierces through the left side of 9S's chest. 2B's blood-red eyes draw close to his face. With defeat so close, 9S plays his final gambit... He places his right hand on 2B's cheek.

9S: ...Commencing hack.

Analysis: Commencing salvage of 2B's consciousness data from the infected area.

"The memories I have left aren't all bad. Wind rolling through ruins. Light flickering on water. The sound of swaying trees. I cherish everything we saw together. This isn't a curse. I... decided to be with her. I made a choice."

2B's infection had spread to the deepest portions of her memory unit. It's a troublesome virus-- and an elegant trap.

For if the infected section is removed, the individual becomes unable to maintain a consciousness.

As 2B's consciousness grows more infected, 9S readies his final, desperate plan.

...It was the only way she could be saved.

9S: Hey, 2B? The time we spent together holds eternal value for me. Heh. I'm serious, you know. I'm swapping your infected area with my memory storage.

"In a sea of collapsing emotions, I saw 2B's light. Even if I've lost everything, I have no regrets. Because I chose to live... for her sake."

9S: You're 2B, right? 9S: My name's 9S. I'm here to provide support.

2B: 9S... the time I was able to spend with you... 2B: It was like memories of pure light... 2B: Thank you... Nine...s.

9S: No. I can't go back. If the infection spreads, I may end up attacking you.

2B: Stop talking nonsense, 9S!

Sex on the Beach - c. 06 - Rafe Cameron

Summary: You return to the vacation house to pack up your stuff.

A/N: I wrote this in like...45 minutes 😂 The re-write is complete...now for the last two chapters.

The room they gave you at the resort was nice, overlooking the waterpark and the ocean, twenty stories above the ground. Not as crisp white as the Nassau House had been but not quite a Hilton. You called your dad after you checked in to tell him that you had an argument with your mom and that was why you had charged the room to your allowance card, something he was perfectly okay with because that meant you liked him more for the moment.  

“Divorced parents are something else.” You commented, flipping through the room service menu. You were starving, in part from not eating for an entire day, and were happy to be getting something that wasn’t dictated by your mom. “My dad was like ‘do you need more money?’...he always wants to be the favorite.”

“Ask him if he can get us our stuff back.” Rafe joked, emerging from the bathroom with the pair of shorts you’d bought in the giftshop on, they were gray and had an Atlantis emblem on the one corner.  

“Did you try to get a hold of Sarah?” You asked, scooting over in bed as he sat down next to you. His hair was still wet from the shower and when he pushed it out of his face little droplets of water hit your shoulder and cheek.

“Yeah, she said ‘get your shit yourself’...real fucking helpful.” He grumbled.  

“I mean, your dad is a nightmare. If I was her, I don’t know if I’d want to risk having him flip out either. Especially since they’re stuck there for the rest of the week.” You replied.

“So what’s your plan?”

“Ask Wheezie when they’re going to be out and stop by to get our stuff?” You suggested, “I still have the spare key you told me to hang on to. We could just go in and get our things and leave.”  

“No, no.” He stood up and you watched as he paced for a moment before seeming to come to some sort of decision, “I’m not fucking hiding out from him.”

“You can’t just walk in there Rafe, he’ll be pissed!” You pointed out, “I really don’t think you should cause any more trouble-”

“The boat was his!”

“I’m not saying it was your fault but maybe just don’t provoke him.” You replied, “who knows what he’ll do.”

Rafe was silent for a moment and you almost thought he was starting to calm down, maybe come around to your side of the issue and realize what it was that he would be jeopardizing if he went back to the Nassau house and tried to have it out with his father. But a second later you jumped as his fist slammed against the dresser and he stormed back into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind him. You weren’t sure what to say, how to ease the situation or make Rafe anything but angry at his dad.  

“I’m gonna go down to the cafe, do you want anything,” you called through the bathroom door. You waited a minute for Rafe to answer but there was only silence from the other side of the door. “Rafe?”

“I don’t want anything.” He snapped.

The door to the room swung shut behind you and you walked down the long hall to the elevators. There was a little mini lobby, a room with ice and vending machines, two benches and a wall of mirrors that reflected back your exhausted appearance. You sat down on one and pulled your phone out of your pocket, calling your mom.  

“Where the hell are you?” She practically screeched through the phone and you rolled your eyes. Not the supportiveness that you were unrealistically hoping for but maybe you could mold her into someone half willing to understand.  

“I’m at Atlantis with Rafe, I’m using dad’s allowance money for a room.”

“That’s just like your father, swooping in to “help” as if you’re in trouble.” She bitched.  

“We need our stuff-”

“You are not staying with some boy unsupervised-”

You cut her off, “mom. We need our stuff,” you repeated, hoping that she would be more moldable to your cause. “Is there a time we could come get it?”

“Exactly what do you expect me to do? Pack up your things for you and have them waiting by the door? You are serious trouble young lady! You stole someone’s boat. And what’s more? You were rude and disrespectful and ungrateful to Mr. Cameron.” She complained.  

“I’m not staying in that house for the rest of vacation, pretending everything is okay. And Rafe’s not coming back either. So can we get our stuff or not?” You asked.

“Being rebellious isn’t worth your future. You’re supposed to be thinking ahead. What about college?”

“That’s two years away.” You argued, “I already sent applications, I’ve applied for scholarships, nothing is changing about college. But I’m not spending the rest of my vacation in a house with a man who assaulted me!”  

“Well maybe you can buy new stuff.” She replied, the line going dead immediately after. You listened to the click off and pulled your phone away from your ear to look at the home screen. She’d hung up on you, unsurprising but not the result you wanted.  

You said you were going down to the cafe so you did, grabbing an iced coffee and heading back up to your room in hopes that Rafe had cooled down enough. When you reentered the room he was laying on the bed, sprawled on his stomach with his head turned toward the window. He didn’t move when you came in and you placed your coffee on the nightstand, climbing onto the bed and sitting cross-legged beside him.  

“Are you awake?”

“Unfortunately.” He grumbled.  

“I think you got sunburn,” you mentioned, eyeing the harsher red of his shoulders, “or is that still from the shower.”

He didn’t answer, only pushed his face further into the pillow. You reached a hand out, laying it flat on the middle of his back. When he didn’t move, but also didn’t seem to protest, you leaned over kissing the red on his shoulders and beginning to gently rub his back.  

“I called my mom.”

“You have shitty news delivery skills.” He replied, shifting over so he laying on his back. You followed his movement with your hand, your fingers brushing over his abs as they tensed beneath your touch.  

“She basically said ‘screw you and your stuff’. So I guess you were right, we’ll have to go there.” You replied, “though I still think going while Ward is there might not be the best idea ever.”  

“I just don’t even wanna think about all that shit tonight.” Rafe huffed.  

“Oh well, I can totally help with that.”

It was earlier the next morning that Sarah texted saying that she and Topper could pack up your stuff and Rafe’s and drop it at the resort. A feasible and preferred plan to Rafe’s, going back in that house and provoking his dad would do nothing positive for their relationship or for the vacation. You knew Rafe was pissed and that he would likely stay pissed until he confronted his father but you urged him not to go to that Nassau house. Though your urging proved in vain because his promise to take you to dinner soon turned into a drive down the road to his family house, the two rentals in the driveway signaling that everyone was home.

“Rafe!” You practically hissed as you jumped out of the car, following him to the door, “what the fuck are you doing?”

The sentiment was repeated by Ward as the two of you entered the house, everyone sitting at the table for dinner looking up in shock at the sight of the two of you. You wanted to run back outside and drive away, or sink into the floor and disappear.  

“What the hell are you doing here?”

“Getting my stuff.” Rafe replied, already heading for the hallway while you just waited by the door, frozen, “don’t mind me though, keep having your nice family dinner.”

Ward was quick. He made it around the table and put himself between Rafe and the hallway leading to your rooms, blocking his son from getting to them. You weren’t sure what to do. In favor of not making eye contact with your mom or step-dad you had locked eyes with Topper, who was mouthing a ‘what is he doing’ to you as if you were any more clued in to the situation than anyone else. Was this what you wanted? To be the supportive backbone for someone that you barely knew because you had been crushing on him since you were thirteen and he paid you just the slightest bit of attention on a vacation that would’ve otherwise been hell. What was your motivation? That you liked him...that he liked you and that was just everything you’d ever wanted so you desperately were following him around.

“Get out of my way!” Rafe’s voice pulled you back and you looked over at him and Ward.

“I don’t hear from you for two days, no idea where either of you are...we’re all worried sick, and this is how you treat us? Show up here and waltz in like nothing is wrong, demanding your things?” Ward snapped.

“I called my mom after we checked in...I’m sure she let everyone know where we were.” You replied, “not to mention, you sitting down to eat doesn’t look like you’re too broken up about any of this.”

“You ungrateful bitch-”

“Hey!” Rafe cut his dad off, shoving him just enough that Ward stumbled back. You felt your whole body tense. You needed to get out of this room and this house and, preferably, off this island. This was nuts, this wasn’t permanent. “Don’t talk to her.”

He pushed passed Ward, knocking his shoulder with his dad’s as he headed down the hall toward his bedroom. You knew that you should follow but your feet felt glued to the spot, like you weren’t sure how to make them work anymore. Sarah got up from the table without warning and disappeared down the hall, coming back a moment later with your duffel and suitcase.  

“I already packed them yesterday.” She said, passing them to you.

“Thanks.”  

Before Sarah could say anything else the shouting from Rafe’s room got louder. Worried, you left your bags by the door and headed into the hallway to see what was going on. Rafe was at the door of his room, completely red-faced, mid-screaming at Ward, louder now that you were standing there, and very much close to tears. Ward was shouting at the same time and even in the room you felt like you could barely make sense of what was being said. It was like walking into something that you had no right to witness.  

“Rafe,” you weren’t sure he heard you over the screaming but you placed your hand on his back and it seemed to bring him back into reality as he looked back at you, breathing heavy and labored.  

“I swear to god Rafe, you walk out that door and there isn’t a place for you at home.” Ward threatened.

He paused and you almost expected him to turn and apologize or call the whole thing off and decide to stay here. Miserable, sure, but at least he wouldn’t be homeless. But instead he grabbed his stuff and walked out the door passed you.  

“Happy?” Ward asked, gaze meeting yours across the room. You heard Rafe call your name from the living room and you looked toward the sound before glancing back at Ward. If you lied, you were sure he could tell. So instead, you said nothing, grabbing your luggage and heading for the door.  

You knew you should’ve been happy, in a way. Rafe was basically choosing you over his family and wasn’t that some kind of oddly romantic thing? Except all you felt was a pit in your stomach, eating up whatever feelings you had other than dread, leaving you feeling empty. He was walking away from his dad and his home and you weren’t even sure how you actually felt about him.  

Wheezie followed both of you out to the car and you put your bags in while Rafe swore to her that nothing bad was going to happen. “Dad and I just need time to cool off,” he promised.  

“But you said we would spend vacation together!” She insisted. He had promised her, before they even left the OBX.  

“And we will. I’m not breaking that promise okay?” He hugged her and then walked around the car, getting in the driver’s seat.

You got in the car, trying to ignore the glare that she sent your way. Just when you were starting to gain favor with Wheezie you’d fucked it up again by taking her brother from her. You wanted to apologize and, honestly, you wanted to be in Provincetown with your friends. A nice, drama free vacation...not this mess.

Chronicles of Sturgia

Chapter 2 Part 1: “The Crumbling Carnival”

The Island of Dreams was in ruin, creating a dark atmosphere that pierced the bright, cheery atmosphere of Sunset Grove. There were no boats in service, keeping anyone from going to or leaving the Island of Dreams. Just a short time ago, this had been a place of happiness and joy. But now it was a place of darkness and despair.

The six kids from Citrione City had a long journey ahead of them. There were no boats going to their next destination, so they had no choice but to swim. Liana Culiseta recommended them to go to someone who could make a potion that let them breathe underwater. Smefanye’s skills in witchcraft allowed her to help make the potion they needed. Nadia also went with the kids to help them, just like she promised. After the kids prepared themselves, the villagers bid them farewell as they embarked on their journey to the Island of Dreams.

The water was cold, but when the kids got used to the water, they saw a fantastical sight. A ruined underwater city, just below the Island of Dreams, which had a grand castle right in the middle. It felt like their adventure had truly begun right there. The darkness below could not pierce the calming waters or disturb the abandoned city. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The kids felt like they had discovered Atlantis. There were so many colorful fish swimming around. It looked like the fish had taken it over and made that city their kingdom. The kids swam towards the city, beckoned by the mystery of what may lie in the ruins..

Nadia felt a sad sense of nostalgia from seeing the underwater city. She felt like the city was beckoning for her to go inside.

Nadia decided it was best not to let her spirits fall, so she decided to stay with the kids. The kids played with the fish, but were careful as to not disturb them too much. They knew that they needed to go to the island, but the beckoning call to adventure and Nadia’s sense of nostalgia was enough to convince them to look around, at least for a little while.

The palace in the middle of the city was grand and beautiful. As the kids swam through the ruins, they felt like they were floating through air. Room after room was filled with beautiful fish. As the kids explored, they came upon a strange room. It was a room with a machine in the middle. It looked like an advanced sleeping pod. There, someone lay inside it. He looked like he was wearing some sort of advanced scuba gear.. Suddenly, Peter realized that he had pressed one of the buttons by accident, and the pod opened. The strange person awoke. He sat up, looking around hazily. He was a complete stranger to the kids, but Nadia recognized him immediately.

“W-what happened?” he asked.

The kids didn’t know what to say.

“Oh, now I remember. I’m Prince Drake Eldoris.”

“Drake!” cried Nadia, as she threw her arms around him.

“You’re okay,” Prince Drake said. “I’m glad.”

He looked around, saddened.

“It’s all gone, isn’t it?” Prince Drake paused, sighing.

“Yeah,” said Nadia. “It is.”

“I-I guess that doesn’t really matter anymore. Anyways, you six never introduced yourselves.”

The kids introduced themselves, feeling sad for the poor prince. They then explained their situation.

“Porvurious Academy’s in danger?” Prince Drake said. “Please, we must head there at once!”

And so, the prince led the kids out of the palace and towards the shore. As they were making their way to the island, the prince looked around the city, seeing how his friends and family were all gone. He was sad, but couldn’t help but feel astonished at how beautiful the city was underwater.

“You know, I’ve never been scuba diving before,” the prince said. “It’s kind of a bittersweet experience, really.”

Once the group reached the shore, they could immediately see the devastation. In contrast to the ocean, the island was dark and filled with despair. Buildings were crumbling. The only similarity between the ocean and the island is that they were both completely abandoned. There were black lanterns scattered around, each emitting an orange glow, creating intricate shadows through intricate designs. While sad about the destruction, Maddie was oddly fascinated by the atmosphere.

“I wanna go back to Sunset Grove,” said Susan.

“M-me too,” said Chris.

“It’s totally destroyed,” said the prince. “Who did this?”

“We don’t know,” said Annie.

They wandered into the carnival, where there was even more destruction. As they were walking around, they saw some students running from various monsters. The kids leapt in and fought the monsters. After they defeated the monsters, they checked to make sure that the students were okay. Two of the students had cameras with them. One of them, Aira Balitaang, was a paranormal investigator using her camera to fend off ghosts. The other one, Claire Calloway, was disappointed that she couldn’t find her friends. Both girls asked to help take care of the ghostly monsters using their cameras. As the kids wandered through, they only saw more destruction and more lanterns.

“What’s the deal with those lanterns?” asked Lisa.

“They’re what’s causing all of this,” said Claire. “They suck all of the happiness and joy inside them. The only way to reverse the damage is through the one whose causing all of this.”

The kids tried their hardest to break them, but what Claire said rang true. They wouldn’t budge.

As the group continued onwards and fought monsters, they encountered some other survivors. A gothic girl was on the back of a really tall kid with glasses, screaming for the monsters to get away. The kids leaped in to help them. As they were fighting the monsters, they noticed the desperate, despairing looks on their faces. They looked like they’ve been through the most horrible torture anyone could experience. Their faces were locked into eternal anguish, abandoned by life itself. After the monsters were defeated, the gothic girl leaped off of the tall kid’s back and hugged Claire.

“I knew you would come for me!” she said.

“I only wanted to save Dexter, Colletta,” said Claire.

“Oh, don’t be like that,” said Colletta. “You’re always so cold.”

“I guess we should introduce ourselves,” said Dexter. “I’m Dexter Chisholm, and this is Colletta Brodeur.”

“It is a pleasure to meet you all, but we need to hurry,” said Colletta. “Our friends are trapped inside the school, and I am afraid of what might happen if we do not rescue them.”

“Yeah, we should hurry,” said Susan. “I really don’t like staying out here, and the faster this gets fixed, the better.”

And so, the kids walked towards Porvurious Academy, apprehensive of what dangers may lie inside.

As they got closer to the school, they found another survivor. He didn’t look like a student. The survivor actually looked like Gabriella Reyes. He had the same red plaid shirt and straw hat that she wore. Even the hair color was the same. He was holding his arm in pain. It looked like the monsters injured him. The group rushed in to help him fight the monsters.

“Thanks,” said the survivor. “I was afraid that help wasn’t coming. I’m Gabe Reyes.”

“Wait,” said Annie. “Are you, by any chance, related to Gabriella Reyes?”

“Y-yeah,” Gabe said. “She’s my sister. Is she okay?”

“Yeah,” said Annie. “But we need you to get somewhere safe. You can’t walk around with that injury.”

“No where’s safe on this island,” said Gabe. “Not anymore.”

“He’s right,” said Maddie. “Besides, there’s safety in numbers.”

Aira couldn’t help but worry about her own sister. Where was she? Was she okay? Would any of this be okay? She began to walk slower than the group, but she knew how scared the rest of them must be. She couldn’t stop now.

The school stood menacingly over the group. There was a massive clock tower that the storm clouds were circling around. A sinister dragon flew around the tower, not noticing the group below. A dark figure stood in the window at the very top of the tower, lurking, cackling. The surviving students could only think about how happy their school used to be. But now it was in ruins. Their friends’ fate was uncertain, but they needed to go in and reverse the damage before it was too late.

Prince Drake was apprehensive, too. After all, he used to go to this school. It used to be his home, his sanctuary. But he had to be brave. Not for the kids, but for himself. But deep down, he knew how much braver the other kids were than himself. But it was no time to hesitate. After all, even Nadia was by his side. The group entered Porvurious Academy, readying themselves to face off against the treacheries within the school.

Marvel’s Atlantis

This post is a collection of information about Marvel Comic’s Atlantis. (Warning: long post ahead. I have not read every comic pertaining to Atlantis yet and as such I’m only gathering things I know.)

The Gods, Goddesses, Creatures, and Relics:

Neptune: The Holy Father. Atlantean Deity, an Olympian who has the power over the all the seas and its creatures. He is father to the Atlantean race (Homo Mermanus). He is also called Poseidon. Typically depicted as an old man with a beard and blue skin like the other Atlanteans. He wields his trident which has unimaginable magic power. The Atlanteans still revere and pray to him. Favors Namor and has on occasion protected and brought him back to life as well as sends him on quests. Has once said that Namor is his favorite son and always has his blessing.

The Amulet of Kings: A magical amulet that holds the souls of the past kings of Atlantis. It was used to transport Namor to Hell.

After the Great Cataclysm:

The Atlanteans: City dwellers who live in the various underwater cities in the oceans. Are often seen as the civilized ones compared to their more barbaric cousins who are more of a nomadic tribe usually lead by Attuma. There are varying stories as to how the Atlanteans came to be, some say they were always there a race of water breathers, some say that the wizards of Atlantis saw their continent sinking and used the last of their power to change their surviving people into water breathers. Atlanteans have blue skin, pointed ears, and gills on their necks. They come in varying shades of blue and some have more fish like features than others. Atlanteans also have mutants. They are a very proud race who respect the oceans, earth and all the creatures. They are susceptible to things that damage the environment, like pollution. They cannot survive out of water without a device to aid them. Devices such as water scarves, water tanks, magical pills/potions that will allow them to be able to breath air, etc. They are ruled by Namor the First.

The Lemurians: A splinter group of Atlanteans who live in the pacific/Enemy of Atlanteans/they had their own land before it also sunk below the waves.

Faceless Ones: Ancient tribe of subterranean underwater creatures. Often attacking Atlanteans.

Aqueos: Underwater Vampires. Thought to be myth.

Sirens: Atlanteans with the power to enchant their intended targets with song.

The Logomancer: Atlantean with the power to guide the magic of Atlantis/the oceans through the King to aid Atlantis. Atlantis has scientist and magicians who use technology and magic together in harmony but only the Logomancer can use it on a large scale level and has the power to let the magic flow through the King.

Trident Station: A building that is in the middle of the ocean where land dwellers can come to learn about and explore the history of Atlantis. It is meant to be a neutral meeting place for Atlanteans and Humans to work together in peace.

The History:

Before the Fall

Atlantis was not one kingdom but ten. The ten kingdoms were ruled by ten kings. Atlantis was merely the capital kingdom. Within Atlantis there was a city called the Golden Gate. It was the apex of all the wonder and beauty. Before Atlantis sunk below the waves, the event was thereafter known as the Cataclysm, it was a wonder land filled with machines and technology far beyond any civilization of the time. It was a place where miracles were common place and where Magic and Technology were used together in perfect unison. Atlantis stood at the beginning of time and no place yet has ever come close to reaching the utopia and beauty of Atlantis.

Not much is known of the Golden Age of Atlantis before the Cataclysm when it’s history was lost to time and the waves.

The Fall

Different accounts of how Atlantis fell into the sea and the City of Atlantis rose:

- There was a war between the Lemurians and the Atlanteans involving the Deviants and the Celestials. Shockwaves from a nuclear cataclysm caused Lemuria to sink into the sea along with Atlantis.

- Poseidon reveals that the reason Atlantis fell was due to its own hubris. That the rulers of the past began to grow lazy and neglectful of the city and its people. Unwilling to even fight since they believed fighting was beneath them they hired the Amazons to fight for them. Rather than pay the Amazons their fee teh council of wizards chose to kill them all. This was an Atlantis that was far from the one that stood at the beginning of time, where people were happy and lived in peace, it is unknown how many centuries passed from the Golden Age of Atlantis to the pre-cataclysm but the nation suffered as it grew corrupt from the greed of the rulers. The wizards sought more power and attempted to remake the world in their image. The magic they unleashed was far too powerful for even them to control and it ripped the continent apart and The Empire of Atlantis fell into the sea. (The Incredible Hercules #123)

What few wizards were left used their remaining magic to save the last of their race by turning them into water breathers. Over the centuries the lost and scattered people of the ocean came together to reform their nation this time in the south ocean near the south pole and the continent that is now called Antarctica. The City of Atlantis rose once more. Now ruled by a single Emperor or Empress. A descendant of Neptune’s royal blood.

- Final account is that Homo Mermanus just appeared out of nowhere in the oceans/have always been in the oceans and merely settled from a nomadic lifestyle in the ruins of Atlantis and thus became the Atlanteans.

- The Ten Lost Kings/Queens (No one knows if the five sets of twins were all males, females, or half of each. Only that they were born of Cleito and Posiden and ruled the Ten Kingdoms of Atlantis in the golden age.)

After Thakorr’s death it was said the only true King of Atlantis was the Sea-God Neptune and the current holder of the throne of Atlantis was his vessel on earth thus Namor went by the title of Prince out of respect to Lord Neptune since he is very close to his Atlantean faith.

While onboard USS Grapple (ARS 53), she qualified as a surface warfare officer; participated in the salvage of the Peruvian submarine Pacocha; and helped in the de-stranding of Exxon tanker Houston off the coast of Barber’s Point, on Oahu, Hawaii. In 1996, Stefanyshyn-Piper was selected by NASA as an astronaut candidate and reported to the Johnson Space Center, in Houston, Texas, for two years of training. Her first spaceflight was aboard the STS-115 Atlantis, during a 12-day flight in September 2006. The mission was to deliver and install the P3/P4 Truss and two sets of solar arrays that generate electricity for the International Space Station (ISS). Stefanyshyn-Piper served the role of extravehicular crewmember No. 2. During the flight, she went on two spacewalks where she assisted in installing the truss and replacing an S-Band Antenna, an important transmission device. Her second space flight was on the STS-126 Endeavour in November 2008. The 16-day mission served to deliver a new bathroom; kitchen; two bedrooms; exercise machine; and a water recycling system to the ISS to expand the living quarters to house a six-member crew. Stefanyshyn -Piper served as the lead spacewalker, performing three of the spacewalks to make repairs and installations.
