Ik people think Atif Aslam counts as whitewashed but I wouldn't really say that tbh. most white people don't even know he exists.
I think a better term would be "corporate" because that's the vibe I get from that new coke ad with his singing. He's essentially the taylor swift of Pakistani music. bland, marketable, and you can hear him in every retailer.
#lightgriffinsect express#dont ask me why im desiposting so much#theres a coca cola ramadan ad with atif aslam and it reminded me of last summer when a friend said hes whitewashed pak music#bland doesnt equal bad btw. i dont have a problem with atif aslam. my mom loves his music ok#i myself am an ali zafar girlie but whatever

€1,814/€5,000
This campaign was started back in April. Donations have been very slow.
ThomaSerena and his family evacuated from Sudan to Egypt. Since then, he and his brother have been struggling to find a source of income to support their family. He struggled to create this link because he prefers to be the one helping people, but he ultimately decided to seek support for the sake of his family.
ThomaSerena and his family are also facing increasing rent to the rise in the cost of living in Egypt. On top of these financial burdens, his family is also struggling with the stress of having to relocate to a new place after everything they've lived through.
Despite his hardships, ThomaSerena has also dedicated himself to helping 4 other Sudanese families in need:
€10,195/€50,000
Here are the details given about the 4 families this fundraiser is for:
1. Salih's family:-
Salih Abd Al whab is still stuck in sudan with his younger brother and sister along with their mom, their dad passed away may he rest I peace. Salih is pressured by the circumstances to join the army and help take our country back and I applaud him for it, he refuse to do otherwise, but his only wish is to save his family hopefully escape to egypt and live a better life or support them while they're in sudan.
2. Ahmed' family:-
Ahmed Atif is the eldest in his family, he fled to egypt as well. Ahmed is the eldest of the family and he was a last year medical student before the war started. They lost everything as well, and he was forced not to proceed with his studies due to insufficient funds, I urge you to help him finish his last year and help his family.
3. Ali's family:-
Ali Assir fled to egypt as well with his family along with his mother, his wife and his 3 year old child. Ali was an aspiring guy that started a family before the war and was taking care of his mother as well after his father's death may he rest in peace. He was working tirelessly to give his family a good life, but all of that came crumbling before his eyes with the start of the war. His mother is old, ever since they moved to egypt she has been sick and suffers from depression due the circumstances they're in. Ali and his wife can't think if sending his daughter to school since they barely have enough funds to live by. Helping them will help their mother and help their daughter start her education that is much needed and it pains my heart that a young child won't start their education because of this. I'm sure this will also help his mother with her depression if she sees her family doing well.
4. Noha's family:-
Noha Ibrahim also fled to egypt along with her mother and father. She had an older brother but he passed away while waiting for his visa in Halfa, which is the boarder between sudan and egypt due to his deteriorating health, may he rest in peace.
Noha and her family haven't been the same since his death. And right now noha is the sole breadwinner of the family and she can't keep up, both her parents are old and require medical care. Helping her will help them as well.

full name: yusuf ronaldo nasir nicknames: joe, joey, yu, yusie, doc gender / pronouns: cis man, he/him age & birthday: 48, july 10th occupation: psychologist & self-employed counselor, le dedale clinque affiliation: civilian orientation & status: demisexual - kinsey scale 5, single strengths: kind, selfless, caring, friendly, helpful weaknesses: pushy, nosy, guarded, trust issues
diving deeper -
* ◟ : 〔 mahershala ali , cis man + he/him 〕 YUSUF NASIR , some say you’re a FORTY EIGHT YEARS OLD lost soul among the neon lights. known for being both KIND and PUSHY , one can’t help but think of CALL YOUR MOM by NOAH KAHAN when you walk by. are you still a PSYCHOLOGIST at LE DEDALE CLINQUE, even with your reputation as THE HELPING HAND? i think we’ll be seeing more of you and A NOTEBOOK AND PEN TO JOT DOWN THOUGHTS DURING SESSIONS INSTEAD OF A TABLET, ALWAYS REMEMBERING YOUR NAME EVEN IF YOU ONLY MET ONCE, THOUGHTFUL QUIPS AND UPLIFTING SAYINGS , although we can’t help but think of SEAN MAGUIRE (GOOD WILL HUNTING), TED LASSO (TED LASSO), CHRIS TRAEGER (PARKS & RECREATION) whenever we see you down these rainy streets.
BACKGROUND.
tw: bullying, neglect
born in são paulo to adriana ramos, one of the oldest in a large family of mixed matched siblings. atif nasir wasn't around for long, pushed away by his mother before he had a chance to know he was a father let alone be one. yusuf wouldn't know much about him until later.
the house he grew up in was small or maybe it was too small for all of the people inside it. yusuf used to see other families and wonder if it would've felt less cramped if there was more love between them, if there was more warmth circling through the air. instead, all he remembers is struggle and frustration and feeling small in the shadows of everyone who had more than they did.
a lot of his younger years were spent trying to fix things, make things better, and feeling guilty when he failed. he was underestimated by many, bullied for choosing to be positive or kind. he found little to no comfort when he got home. everything constantly felt like a struggle just to survive, fighting against each other just to get a millimeter ahead. he did try to form some kind of relationship with all of them, even if it was never close.
this is what prompted him to seek out his father at the age of twelve and start building a relationship with him. the bond was strong enough that he invited yusuf to come stay with him in upstate new york permanently when he was around fifteen years old and change his last name to his father's. though he never forgot his roots, nor what his experiences were before he left.
he learned a couple things between his two childhood homes that stuck with him. just because one struggle is taken away, that didn't mean it was going to get easier. his basic needs were met but he still had to adapt to a new culture, and without the overwhelming need to struggle to survive against cruel people and having little money - he now had to find who he was as a person, which came with its own challenges. yusuf refused to succumb to the cruelty of the world, or conform for the benefit of fitting in. this did however leave him feeling alone no matter what home he lived in.
both his own struggle and watching others struggle is what inspired yusuf to go into the field of social work and psychology when he graduated high school. he didn't want other people to feel alone when they were struggling, no matter what the situation may be that they're struggling with. very early on he found out how awful it felt to feel alone when you're sad or down and just how dark that place can get without someone there to understand and listen or shed some light into the darkness. sometimes people just need someone to believe in them and yusuf set out to be that person whenever he could be.
in college is where he solidified who he was and wanted to be. he dated, went to the few parties he got invited to ( they were fun just not his main jam ), volunteered, and studied his ass off. upon graduating he went into social work while working on his doctorate in psychology. the work was sometimes thankless and while times got worse in the world, the case loads got bigger and bigger. he never once minded though and took pleasure in making a difference one person at a time.
eventually he was requested to go work at le dedale clinque and after denying it the first time, yusuf found out that it was not a request and if he did not take the position there he would no longer be able to work in his current position either. he tries to continue helping people in his new position while still following protocols put in place. to make up for the fulfillment he previously got in his career, he volunteers as a homeless advocate, leads group and individual sessions in incarceration facilities, and counsels people through his personal non-profit either on a sliding fee scale or for free depending on the individuals financial means.
all in all he continues to find fulfillment in his personal and professional life, sometimes still struggling with feeling alone in a world that continues to become increasingly darker by the day. yusuf does his best to hide his own struggles with the world to be a beacon of hope for anyone who crosses his path.
QUICK CONNECTIONS.
clients
best friend
college friends
people he can be positive energy for
found family
past or current romantic interests
someone trying to corrupt him
someone taking advantage of his kindness
co-workers
other volunteers or counselors that work with or for him
HEADCANONS.
enjoys puns and "dad jokes" a lot - has several, what would be deemed kid jokes or pun, books on the shelf alongside psychology and self help novels.
tries to read a book a week, doesn't matter if it's fiction or non-fiction. he's been doing this since he was around ten or eleven years old.
doesn't believe in good and evil people, only actions. he thinks everyone is redeemable and just because something is illegal it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad in the grand scheme of things. evil is not a diagnosis.
more to be added.

Mahadev Online Betting Scam: Bollywood Celebrities and Pakistani Connections Under Scrutiny
MUMBAI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated an extensive investigation into the Mahadev Online Betting scandal, revealing a complex network of money laundering activities that extend far beyond the realm of online betting. This case has taken an intriguing turn, with the involvement of UPI IDs, implicating well-known personalities, celebrities, and even political contributions.
The Mahadev Online Betting Scandal: A Brief Overview The spotlight has turned to Mahadev, an online betting application, founded by Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal hailing from Bhilai, Chattisgarh. The ED has cast a sharp eye on this platform, alleging that it served as a hub for illicit betting websites. It facilitated new user registrations, generated User IDs, and funneled funds through a convoluted network of anonymous bank accounts.
Also Read: Kashmiri Brother-in-Law could not show Kamal, and pressure on Nagpur police failed
Extensive Raids and Compelling Evidence In a recent series of coordinated raids conducted in cities like Kolkata, Bhopal, and Mumbai, the ED has unearthed substantial evidence and frozen/seized assets totaling an astounding Rs 417 Crore. According to the ED, Chandrakar and Uppal orchestrated the operations of Mahadev Online Betting from a central headquarters located in the UAE. They employed a franchising model, establishing "Panel/Branches" for their associates, with profit-sharing arrangements set at a 70:30 ratio.
A deeply troubling aspect of this scandal revolves around the exploitation of vulnerable communities, specifically slum residents and those with limited incomes. It appears that individuals implicated in this alleged scam acquired UPI (Unified Payments Interface) details from these unsuspecting individuals, effectively using them as pawns in money laundering schemes. In return for the use of their UPI IDs, these victims were given meager sums, while the ill-gotten funds were channeled to foreign entities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the full scope of this fraudulent activity and quantify the amount of money that has been laundered through this deceptive modus operandi.
Lavish Wedding Expenditure Raises Concerns
Recent ED raids conducted in Bhopal, Mumbai, and Kolkata have brought to light the extravagant lifestyle of the primary accused, Saurabh Chandrakar. Astonishingly, it was revealed that he lavishly spent over Rs 200 crore on his wedding ceremony in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Shockingly, reports suggest that the funds for this opulent celebration were sourced from the proceeds of criminal activities.
Private jets were chartered to transport family members from Nagpur to the UAE for the wedding festivities, and renowned celebrities were hired for special performances. An array of wedding planners, dancers, and decorators were flown in from Mumbai, with cash payments facilitated through clandestine hawala channels.

Celebrity Involvement and Suspicions of Proceeds from Illegal Activities
The ED's ongoing investigation has also implicated several prominent celebrities who endorsed these betting entities. These celebrities not only lent their names to these platforms but also participated in various events organized by the app promoters and other individuals accused in this case. Payments to these celebrities were routed through intricate transactions, ultimately sourced from the proceeds of online betting activities.
The list of celebrities under scrutiny includes well-known figures such as singers Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, actor Tiger Shroff, Elli Evram, Bhagyashree, Pulkit Samrat, Sunny Leone, Kirti Kharbanda, Nushrat Bharucha, and comedians Bharti Singh, Krishna Abhishek, and Ali Azgar.
In conclusion, this disturbing scandal not only highlights the exploitation of vulnerable populations but also shines a light on the extravagant spending habits of key individuals involved. The web of celebrity endorsements and the suspected use of proceeds from illegal activities underscore the need for a thorough investigation into the matter, ensuring that justice is served and accountability upheld.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani: A Musical Love Story That Still Resonates
In 2009, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani became more than just a romantic comedy—it became a musical journey that Bollywood fans still cherish. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film brought together the charming Ranbir Kapoor as Prem and the graceful Katrina Kaif as Jenny, whose love story is as quirky as it is endearing. But what truly made this film unforgettable was its soundtrack, which captured every emotion from joy to heartache, and even a bit of madness along the way.
If you’ve ever tuned into Ruh Radio on 1440 AM, you might recognize the sheer magic of these tracks as they continue to play on airwaves, evoking memories of that colorful, musical world. Here’s a look at the songs that made Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani a timeless musical treat.
1. Tera Hone Laga Hoon – The Beginning of Love
At the heart of Prem’s journey is “Tera Hone Laga Hoon,” a song that perfectly captures the fluttery feeling of falling in love. With Atif Aslam’s gentle, emotive vocals and Alisha Chinai’s soft harmonies, the track is a beautiful serenade to love at first sight. It’s the kind of song that, if you listen to it on Ruh Radio, instantly transports you to a dreamy place where love is pure, sweet, and almost too good to be true. This was the anthem of romance that everyone wanted to play on repeat.
2. Prem Ki Naiyya – The Joyful Anthem
Next up is “Prem Ki Naiyya,” a song that radiates pure joy. Sung by Neeraj Shridhar and Suzanne D’Mello, the track is a carefree celebration of Prem’s optimistic outlook. The fun, bouncy rhythm reflects the carefree, happy-go-lucky vibe of Prem’s character. If you were ever driving around with the windows down or simply enjoying life, this was the song that lifted your spirits. It’s the type of track you’re likely to hear when you tune into Ruh Radio on 1440 AM, reminding you to enjoy the ride, no matter how bumpy it gets.
3. Tu Jaane Na – A Heartfelt Plea
No love story is complete without a song of longing, and “Tu Jaane Na” is that aching ballad. Atif Aslam’s voice, dripping with emotion, takes us deep into Prem’s heart as he silently watches Jenny from afar. The simple yet beautiful lyrics of yearning make this track a standout. It’s the kind of song that makes you reflect on lost love or love that you wish you could express but can’t. When played on Ruh Radio, it’s a moment of quiet reflection, a reminder of the ache that comes with unspoken feelings.
4. Oh By God – A Lighthearted Twist
Every love story needs its comic relief, and “Oh By God” delivers just that. With Mika Singh’s energetic vocals, this song brings the humor back into the story. It’s fast, funky, and full of playful energy, showing us Prem’s often chaotic, yet endearing, adventures. It’s the kind of track that’s impossible not to dance to, and you’ll often hear it lightening up your mood during a Ruh Radio broadcast, offering a welcome break from the more emotional tunes of the album.
5. Aa Jao Meri Tamanna – A Dreamy Wish
Finally, we have “Aa Jao Meri Tamanna,” a slow, dreamy ballad that reflects Prem’s deep hope and longing. Sung by Javed Ali and Jojo, this track has a soothing melody that tugs at your heartstrings, much like Prem’s silent wish for Jenny’s love. It’s a track you might hear on Ruh Radio during those quiet moments of your day when you need a break from the chaos—a gentle reminder of the dreams and wishes that fill our hearts when we long for something beautiful.
The soundtrack of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani isn’t just a collection of songs—it’s a journey through love, laughter, and longing. Each track adds its own unique flavor to the film, from the blissful romance of “Tera Hone Laga Hoon” to the bittersweet yearning in “Tu Jaane Na.” These songs live on, not just in the memories of the film, but also in the everyday life of Bollywood fans who still hum these melodies on their way to work or as they unwind at home.
If you’ve tuned into Ruh Radio on 1440 AM, you’ve probably heard these songs spin their magic on the airwaves, keeping the spirit of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani alive. It’s a reminder that good music, much like a great love story, never really fades away. It stays with us, echoing through the years, reminding us of the laughter, the joy, and the heartache that comes with falling in love.
