Uhh

Qu'ruhka wasn't well kept as a kid, he was chronically underfed, and terribly stressed from being the main caretaker of his six half-sisters, and generally being the scapegoat of the tribe. He was extremely scrungly. He didn't grow up in the main Puk tribe off of Aleport, he was in a splinter tribe out in the Sagolii because the leader of said splinter tribe was actually off her rocker. He didn't start going by Q'ruhka (or usually just Ruhka), mostly for safety, until he settled in Gridania and the Botanist's guild.

Though, traumatic backstory aside... Him being malnourished as a kid is probably the leading reason he's so short, but on the other hand he did always have a significantly longer tail than miqo around his age. Which did make it difficult to figure out how old he was when he eventually left, he was at an age where tails were usually just starting to grow out, but he already had about a normal adult length one (and it kept growing lmao).

He took to society a lot better than he really had much right or reason to, working for the Botanist's guild and the Gridanian orphanage helped. But he wasn't even introduced to the concept of gil until he was in his early teens, he was thankfully just always pretty good at numbers and being forced to be frugal.

i really miss how the ml fandom was back when s1 was airing bc everyone was just so excited about the show and the fandom actually interacted with each other a lot (reblogging art/fic, commenting, sending asks, etc.) bc currently it's kind of like.... a ghost town, if that makes sense

i know the fandom has kind of died off in the last two seasons due to people having differing opinions about the show and i get it. everyone's entitled to feel how they feel about it and i wouldn't want someone to keep watching something they don't enjoy. and i know the fandom is especially dead rn bc of the hiatus. but even though i still love the fandom currently & all my wonderful mutuals who I've made over the years i still cant help but feel nostalgic for the way it used to be

Sometimes all you need to get out of a bit of an art slump is one silly lil idea... and a couple of bees. Because of course it'd be the bees. x'D

Inspired by an idea/possible HC I came up with about the twins early days on Sodor. And how they were supposed to come with their nameplates/numberplates... but they didn't! Whoops! xD So while S.C.C was trying to sort out that whole mess, the twins started their trickery. After all, they look completely identical. They could probably get away with switching names without anyone even realizing... And so they did! xD And thus began their reign of chaos! Thankfully once the nameplates/numberplates arrived that put a stop to their nonsense.... At least for a little while. ;D Personally I think it'd be really fun if they did actually fully swap names (I.E Bill was originally supposed to be named Ben, and vice versa), but maybe they just flip-flop occassionally for fun. Who knows! It really could go any way with these two. After all it's not like they'll ever tell us who's really who! xD That's part of the fun! Anywho, I had a lot of fun drawing these silly lil guys! And although I don't often draw backgrounds, it was refreshing to give it a go again and really just go ham with it. And I'm really happy with the outcome too! don't want to get into it on that one post but while it's true that there are a lot of complex reasons behind the way that the Library of Congress classifies information the way it does, it's ALSO true that a lot of information professionals have a lot of respect for/interest in AO3, to the extent that you will almost certainly encounter discussion of it in library school (I did). This is not to throw shade at the LOC OR to say its classifications are perfect (there are a number of movements to update its terminology to address the number of *isms in various subject categories) but to also point out that AO3's approach to metadata is genuinely impressive and effective enough to have the respect of professionals, not just cringe fandom people (I am both)

One of the more well-known Disney cats, because she can frequently be seen hanging out near Grizzly River Run and being admired by parkgoers. Her name is Francisco! The Disneyland Resort actively encourages these feral cats to hang around, as they help with rodent control, but will remove any that become aggressive towards people.

Notes on a funny phenomenon I have witnessed within myself during and after my Disco Elysium playthrough in regards to Harry and fandom:

Mid game: i both love and hate the uwu-fication of Harry's character by the fandom. I mean "middle aged man battling alcoholism potrayed as a clumsy uwu creature" will never not be hilariously enchanting, but also he's not a good person in the slightest, he is a complex man who was an ass prior to his memory loss, and to diminish his character to "uwu creature" feels very insulting to the efforts of the storytelling and his arc, and-

i think it's a little funny whenever i mention this fandom being less active than it used to be and ppl try to convince me it isn't. like when i say "less active than it used to be" i am talking about 2016-2017 era ml. like there is no comparison to how active the fandom used to be then vs now. understandably so, the show has been running 10 years. but it still frustrates me being told "nah it's just because it's a new season/it's a lull" when i have actively watched the fandom grow less and less engaged in the last 9 years LOL. it literally feels like
