Hc: Asriel is short-sighted, but he never realized until he died. When he woke up as Flowey his vision was perfectly fine and he was like "wtf??? why can I see so far???" When he went back to being Asriel, he almost cried because he couldn't see far again.

oh HELL, i can’t believe it took me this long to realize.

when you hug asriel after his fight, it’s not asriel saying he doesn’t want to let go, otherwise it would have his talksprite next to it. It’s probably not frisk either; they don’t say anything directly, not even when they’re telling asriel their name earlier in that scene.

it’s got the narrator’s star next to it, so it’s the narrator saying it. 

that’s chara hugging their brother vicariously through frisk for the last time, saying that they don’t want to let him go.

I think about this scene a lot - of Tori carrying Chara all the way back to the ruins. Devastating. I hope she took the ferry, at least.

(I also like to imagine she had some casual mum outfits for when she was goofing around with the kids outside of queen stuff. Not sure this one is quite right, it's just where it landed).
