If Shota adopted Eri, would she get his last name, Hizashi’s, or something hyphenated?

Eri has gone through a lot and it was crucial that she was taken in by UA for the sake of her development. The students & staff helped her acclimate back into a semi-normal life and while Shota is her primary care-taker, I think he also recognizes the importance of that. Even if Shota had adopted her, Yuuei implemented a dorm system and therefore Eri would have needed to stay on campus anyway.

I think as far as why Shota hasn't adopted Eri comes down to a matter of timing. There is a lot of chaos that goes on between the time that Eri comes into UA's custody up to the ending of the war. Shota is a man of many talents and while I haven't decided if I want to make him a foster dad (mostly due to my lack of research), I think that given the circumstances, it would be difficult for him to juggle an adoption process along with everything else going on.

Also, with a war underway I think Shota would be afraid of starting that process with her. He wouldn't want to get her hopes up about something that he isn't sure that he would be able to follow through with. While Shota will always do his best to survive, the future was far from certain.

I do think that after the war is over, Shota would have gone through with an adoption. It would take a bit of time seeing as Shota would be navigating his new disabilities and the emotional baggage that comes with that. As far as what her last name would be, it just depends on where Shota is at with Hizashi. If they're dating, he might just make Eri an Aizawa or even hold off on that until they establish what they want to do with their own names. This answer essentially depends on which Hizashi I am writing with. Personally, I'd love Eri to be an Aizawa but Shota is a little more indifferent about it.

my fav storytelling moment in NITW is the little easter egg where grandpa borowski's ghost watches over mae while she naps at the church! cute moment w some interesting in-universe implications

night in the woods is pretty careful to never pick a side on whether the whole thing is ghost/demon/god related, or just a combination of mental health issues/economic stressors/searching for meaning, which i appreciate. gives players a lot of leeway to interpret everything. so factoring in the ghostly grandpa is just another little supernatural mystery to try and work into the puzzle... but most importantly its super cute!

"They were both in college and happened to study at the same café. Your grandfather says that they had been dating before he even realized that they were dating. Halmeoni was the one who asked him out, but he was the one that proposed. He actually proposed at the same café they met at.

Shota gave Izuku a small shake of his head. "No, they weren't pro heroes. But, I guess one could say they're pros within their own fields. Dear old Dad is an OB and pediatric nurse with a specialty and Mom works as a defense attorney."

And didn’t you ask me to help you understand your obsessive need to have control over Harry Potter?”

“Yes.” Voldemort scowled. “And I fail to see how Potter’s sexual fantasies about other men are relevant.”

Potter’s friend perched her chin atop her bound hands. “Have you considered… letting Harry have sex with someone else?” 

“Potter should not be having sex. He is my enemy. He should be miserable.”

“Removing the sexual torture curse you placed on him would be a great first step towards personal growth.” 

“He is not having sex,” Voldemort repeated. “He is miserable.”

“Yes.” The girl’s eyes lost their focus, taking on a strange, dreamy appearance that implied her thoughts were elsewhere. “I see that now.”
