Catering Dos & Don'ts for Asian Weddings: Expert Advice for Customers
Asian weddings are a celebration of love, culture, and tradition, and what better way to complement these joyous occasions than with exquisite cuisine? As you plan your special day, the one thing that can be overwhelming is catering.
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of dos and don’ts to help you make the most of your Asian wedding catering experience and how you can choose the best Asian wedding caterers in London.
Catering Dos and Don’ts For You
Do’s:
1. Plan Ahead
Start your catering arrangements well in advance. Popular Asian caterers in London, like Bharat Gangaram, often have busy schedules, especially during wedding season. Booking early ensures you secure your desired date and menu.
2. Communicate Your Preferences Clearly
Whether it’s dietary restrictions, cultural considerations, or specific dishes you crave, open communication with your caterer is key. Share your vision, and don’t hesitate to ask questions or request customisations.
3. Sample the Menu
Schedule a tasting session before finalising your menu. This allows you to experience the flavours firsthand and make informed decisions about what dishes will delight your guests’ palates.
4. Consider Variety
Asian cuisine boasts a richness in terms of flavours, textures, and ingredients. Embrace diversity in your menu by offering a mix of traditional dishes and modern interpretations. By choosing the best Asian wedding cuisine, you can make sure that there’s something for everyone to enjoy at your wedding.
5. Focus on Presentation
Food is not only about taste but also about presentation. Work with your caterer to create visually stunning displays that enhance the overall aesthetic of your wedding venue.
Don’ts:
1. Overlook Dietary Restrictions
In the excitement of wedding planning, it’s easy to overlook the dietary needs of your guests. Ensure your caterer is aware of any allergies or dietary restrictions among your invitees to avoid any mishaps on the big day.
2. Forget About Logistics
Consider logistical challenges such as venue constraints, kitchen facilities, and serving arrangements when you are looking for Asian wedding services in London. Discuss these details with your caterer to ensure a seamless dining experience for your guests.
3. Compromise on Quality
Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and the quality of the food should reflect that. Avoid cutting corners or compromising on ingredients to save costs. Invest in quality cuisine that leaves a lasting impression.
4. Leave Everything to the Last Minute
Procrastination can be the enemy of a stress-free wedding planning process. Avoid last-minute decisions or changes to your catering arrangements, as this can lead to unnecessary stress and disappointment.
5. Neglect the Feedback Loop
Throughout the planning process and on the day itself, encourage open communication with your caterer. Provide feedback on the tasting, discuss any concerns or adjustments, and stay connected to ensure everything runs smoothly.
By adhering to these do’s and don’ts, you are well on your way to creating a memorable and flawlessly catered Asian wedding.

NAVIANGEY WEDDING HEADCANONS:
A post where I essentially plan out Navia and I’s wedding because I’m delusional. This post basically includes a rundown of what various genshin characters do at our wedding; from bridesmaids to entertainment to guests, this post has it all!
CW: Self insert shipping. Wedding planning. Angey is delusional tonight
ANGEY’S BRIDESMAIDS: Chiori, Emilie, Ganyu and Keqing
NAVIA’S BRIDESMAIDS: Clorinde, Lynette, Traveler + Paimon and Kirara
FLOWER GIRLS: Sigewinne, Qiqi and Yaoyao
RING BEARER: Freminet
OFFICIATOR: Neuvilette
ENTERTAINMENT: Lyney + Lynette, Yun Jin, Xinyan, Gaming and Yoimiya
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: Charlotte
CATERING: Xiangling and Guoba
WEDDING DRESS/BRIDESMAID DRESS DESIGNER: Chiori
FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS: Emilie
GUESTS: Basically every playable character from Fontaine and Liyue combined. As well as Callas, Silver and Melus (in the form of memorials), Consigliere, and every Fishy in the aquarium and mutual!
VENUE: A glass greenhouse in Fontaine
EXTRA TRVIA:
- The Naviangey wedding will be the first big event in Genshin where the casts of Liyue and Fontaine meet, due to Angey being from Liyue and Navia being from Fontaine!
- Both brides are wearing wedding dresses on this special day!
- During the bouquet toss, Ganyu caught Angey’s bouquet and Furina caught Navia’s bouquet 👀
- Angey’s bouquet is made out of golden roses to symbolize Navia and Navia’s bouquet is made out of pink water lillies to symbolize Angey.
- Lyney acted as the spokesperson for the entire wedding! He is also the one who made Navia and Angey play the “Shoe Game” 😅
- The food at the wedding was a mix of Liyue cuisine and Fontaine cuisine, courtesy of Xiangling and Guoba and some special Fontaine chefs working together.
- Navia personally baked hundreds of little macarons for the wedding. She would’ve made the wedding cake too, but Angey didn’t want her to overwork herself.
- Like all Asian weddings, there was karaoke at the end of the night thanks to the Liyue cast. Needless to say, all the Fontaine guests were quite surprised, but still joined in on the fun <3
- Prior to the actual wedding, Navia and Angey planned a photo shoot where they’d wear the traditional wedding attire from Liyue, that way they had wedding pics for each other’s cultures! (Navia and Angey both wore traditional red wedding dresses)
#🫧bubble rambles#navey#naviangey#ok goodnight#I will continue answering thirsts tomorrow#I’m eepy and delirious today

If you don’t mind, I’d love to hear your headcanons for the Ice Queen X Tyrant King AU as well🥹🫶💕 thank youuu <3
More Ice Queen/Tyrant King headcanons! Let's go!!!
Little Heiress lives in Korea again. She will hate Gil and Thena both until the day she dies. But she has resigned herself to the fact that going after either of them again will result in her death.
Druig is a hacker, like one of the crazy impossible ones in the movies. He taps into surveillance like it's nothing, owns a bunch of networks and servers. He doesn't show up to many meetings in person, but he and Makkari get together when they can.
Speaking of the Lightning Thief herself, she has many talents, but she chooses to stay contracted as a petty thief. She thinks it's more fun and it offers her more variety and the freedom to travel. She has no permanent place, usually renting in small slots of time. When she's in town, she stays with Druig.
Makkari loves hanging out with Thena and Sersi. None of them had all that normal a childhood, so she likes having girl friends to hang out with. Sometimes she breaks into their homes when she wants to have a sleepover. She doesn't do it to Thena anymore, ever since she broke in and they were getting busy in the elevator again.
Kingo really played it down at the time, but he was the one to give Gil Thena's building passcode. He told him that she was miserable, moping around like she'd gotten her heart broken. His instruction to Gil was "fix it".
Imo comes to America a lot more often now, entirely to visit them. And by them, it's mostly Thena. She'll show up and Thena will drop all her business for the day to visit with her. Imo says she's a good daughter. Then Gil will get home, find out they've spent all day together, having tea or chilling or shopping, and he pouts about being left out.
Gil once asks Thena if he's losing his edge. When she asks what he means he pats his belly and says maybe he should quit drinking beer or something. She says she doesn't mind any shape he's in, so long as that shape is alive (and she says she's not romantic).
He does go to the gym though, that is on days when he's not beating people up and disposing of bodies, since rest days are important. It's mostly because, ever since that French guy, he's been even more aware than usual just how beautiful and desired his fiance is.
He's asked Thena once or twice what she wants to do for the wedding. She says that she thought he would have an idea. They haven't gotten very far past that, since they're already quite married in spirit anyway.
They both have their ring tattoos on the left hand, while the physical rings are on the right. Thena takes hers off frequently, whether it's because she doesn't want to get blood on it or because she doesn't want whomever she's meeting with to know she has a weakness like that. Gil never takes his off.
Thena's favourite foods are tteokbokki, carbonara and traditional Russian solyanka, all of which Gil knows how to make deliciously. She grew up with a lot of Russian and European cuisine of course, and even some central Asian dishes thanks to her various nannies and caretakers. But once Gil started cooking Korean food for her, she hasn't looked back.
Imo shows her some things when she visits, but Thena has confessed multiple times with embarrassment that she's a terrible cook. Imo says that's fine so long as she has other things she's good at, like running the business.
Imo is surprisingly violent. She's run the family business for a long time--the business Gil's father married into, she likes to remind him. Imo has enforced so much in her day that she used to get called the Red Queen. Thena only idolizes her even more for it.
Although it's rare, if Thena and Gil argue over the course of a few days, she'll threaten to call Imo. Things resolve themselves quickly.
Gil likes bringing home little treats. Thena always says she doesn't need them or she's not hungry after dinner or something. They're always gone by the next time he looks in the fridge.
Gil loves calling Thena little petnames like Ice, and Sweetness, and Princess, and she even lets him call her baby here and there. But he makes sure to take time to lean in close and whisper Thena at just the right times.
They still haven't discussed the wedding plans, but if Gil were to ask her to go through with a Korean wedding, she would still say yes.
Imo calls the office sometimes and Thena isn't in, but she likes talking to Kingo--thinks he's funny. Thena tells her not to taunt her personal assistant, but Imo is like an orca who enjoys playing with her food before the kill.
#Thank you so much for the ask!!!#orcas are the sociopaths of the ocean#and dolphins are psychopaths#absolute monsters#anyway I have so many thoughts about this au#I never could have guessed it would take off the way that it did#but it has such a special place in my heart#Phastos is a master business runner but he mostly acts as a fence now since he has a family#he invents some crazy shit though#Ikaris is Ajak's second in command#because he used to work a lot with Sersi with his ties to the Scottish mafia#but since they broke up he got out of the business as much as he could#Makkari discovered Sersi was dating some regular citizen prettyboy named Dane and teases her about it#Dane has no idea about any of this at all#Gil hasn't really added much to the decor#since his own apartment was pretty barren anyway aside from some sentimental stuff#and guy furniture#he says Thena's place is nicer and more comfy anyway#She's glad he didn't bring a bunch of gaudy or ugly furniture with him#but she makes room for him in the apartment and her life#he has a home office too#doesn't use it much but it is there

Hello, can I get headcannons on How would the diaboys react to an indian s/o (btw I really love your blog)😄
You didn't specify characters so I've just done the Sakamakis :)
I'm not from india and I don't really know anything about indian culture so I had to look a lot up, sorry if anything is not accurate! I don't think that they would treat you any differently so this ended up being how would they react to certain things lol
SHU
Shu wouldn't react much when you initially tell him you're Indian, but you will probably have to fend off several kama sutra jokes before you put your foot down
Indian classical music is so different from the Western fare he grew up performing, so he'd be intrigued by any old songs you have to show him
Might even try to master some traditional instruments if he gets the opportunity
REIJI
He'd be very interested in India's history, especially since there are still so many ancient practices and languages alive for him to learn about
Probably the most likely to ask you to actually take him to visit India
And of course, knowing he's a tea maniac, how could you not introduce him to chai? He wouldn't drink anything else for weeks
AYATO
For some reason, I see Ayato as being really shocked that you're not Japanese - the first time he hears you speaking your native language throws him for a loop
("Ayato," you say, "I even have an accent when I speak Japanese..." and he's standing there as if you've told him you've got three tits)
To his credit he does try to engage in your culture, but his way of doing it is searching "cool funny indian things????" on YouTube
Don't bring him to any weddings because he will have tried to learn some terrible 2000s Indian pop music video choreography and he will perform it
KANATO
Kanato would love seeing you dressed up in your traditional clothing for any occasion - it's not the frills and pastel colours he's used to but he'd be obsessed with seeing you in a sari
It's a bonus if you can bake him some of your sweets, too - he was hesitant to try them at first since they're a little different from Japanese cuisine, but now he loves jalebi especially
LAITO
Laito is excited to get to know Indian culture - you're both Asian but it's so different, he wants to know aaall about you
Very into the movies and ugly-cries at them
When he meets your aunties they adore him, it’s kind of embarrassing how easily he charms them
And also kind of sad how they seem to like him more than you...
SUBARU
Of course Subaru's noticed that you look different from the other Japanese students at school, but he's never thought to ask you that much about India
Subaru has never been passionate about human food, but he surprisingly likes what you cook, especially the spicy curries from your region
You are yet to convince him to try any dancing, though
#shu sakamaki#reiji sakamaki#kanato sakamaki#ayato sakamaki#subaru sakamaki#laito sakamaki#sunday-yay#sakamakisaywhat#headcanons#diabolik lovers#sorry for giving ayato dumb bitch disease yet again

Old Italia Pier Apartments - (Anchorpoint Wharf - San Sequoia)
Residential Rental - 4 Multi-story Apartments + Shared Ground floor amenities.
"The Old Italia Pier Apartments have seen generations of people come to SimNation to make their fortune. Originally built to house an influx of Sims from the Old Country, it has played host to families from across the world. The final residents left knowing their former homes would tell their stories. The previously commercial ground floor was repurposed and now boasts a laundromat, pool complex, gym and hobby centre."
Sims 4 Gallery: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/7ADA558610F54770BC00977979535727?category=all&searchtype=ea_origin_id&sortby=downloads&time=all&searchquery=Simmy93&max=50&maxis=false
A Tour of the Lot
The Exterior:
Designed to preserve the exterior design of the original property, the four apartments are accessed by two dedicated yards with trash access. The 'main street' of the now quiet pier was once host to hundreds of sims a day but is now a shared space for the tenants to enjoy some outdoor time together. The name 'Old Italia' is inspired by the patriotic paintjob left by the original inhabitants way back when the Pier was still an active fish market.
The Communal Spaces:
Although the outside of the former shops and services have remained unchanged, the interiors could not have changed more. Unlike the upstairs homes, the commercial property had no prospect of enduring and has since been repurposed for truly luxurious living.
Long Game Gym / Formerly Granny Beth's Bits n' Bobs
Once owned by the final inhabitant of the apartment above, Granny Beth's Bits n' Bobs was once the one stop shop for anything craft related in the local area. After a lucrative creative career Elizabeth 'Beth' McCann set about spreading her pink vision of the world. Unfortunately her rival and neighbour would have the last laugh as her grandson bought out the craft shop and replaced it with a gym inspired by his grandmother's domino aesthetic.
Adriatic Laundry Services / Formerly The Red Crane
Renowned as the best Asian cuisine this side of the Simissippi, the Red Crane was once the favourite spot of celebrities far and wide. Despite the fame, the owner never took advantage and became well known for his fair prices and wholesome family image.
Once attached to the apartments above, the Red Crane's kitchen still exists in the private residence and aspiring Chefs from across the country bid to stay for as long as they can, hoping they absorb some of that magic.
Now however, the once booming restaurant is providing services which removes grease from clothes, rather than contributing to it!
The Green Dragon / Formerly Bountiful Bouquets
Few people know, but San Sequoia used to be the source of many flower imports into SimNation, and no where else could the freshest and most exotic flora be found. Taking advantage of this luck was Bountiful Bouquets who it is said created the bouquets for a Royal Wedding!
Nowadays the shop has been converted into a community hobby centre; chess, painting, archaeology, woodwork and of course, flower arranging are available to any resident.
The Hidden Oasis / Formerly Giuseppe's Fishmonger
The heartbeat of the local economy was appropriately nestled in the middle of the main street trading in the best that came off the fishing boats. It was the only commercial endeavour that saw the start of the pier, and the end.
Afterwards it underwent the largest renovation of the four properties and was developed into a community pool. Decadence awaits you as you descend into a desert oasis amongst the busy suburban life. Equipped with pool, adult hot tub area and even a kids activity room, every member of the family can enjoy their day hiding from the desert sun.
The Apartments:
The Pink Lady - 2 bed, 1 bath. Unit Value: §75,628
One half of the most famous duo to be residents at the Old Italia Pier was Elizabeth 'Beth' McCann, a woman who it can safely be said, enjoyed pink. After a glittering career with her sister in the silent era of film she made the transition to the talkies, and then to colour films unlike her sister who seemed to be unable to keep up.
This lifelong resentment led to a bitter rivalry between the siblings, although most of it was aimed at Beth who for all intents and purposes was living her best life. Never marrying, Beth would adopt a son with her long time partner though they would later part ways causing scandal in the tabloids.
Tragedy would touch the McCann household despite Beth's happy disposition and she would end up raising her grandchildren after the death of her son and his wife necessitating some remodelling to accommodate such a lofty task.
No longer able to tread the boards or walk the red carpet, Beth consolidated her royalties and opened her 'Granny Beth's Bits n' Bobs' craft store and settled in for a quiet life.
The home has seen a lot of love, a lot of tears and a lot of knitting. It is perfect for an elder sim, or a small family of comfortable means.

Too Sweet - Chapter 4: Gentle Rain
The weeks are passing quickly, and more and more the details of Sara's wedding are falling into place. We've decided on the venue for the ceremony, finalized the decoration details, and now it's time for us to sample the menu. Since Sara has quite unique tastes, especially when it comes to food, she decided to join us for this part of the planning. The day dawned rainy, but that didn't dampen our excitement. Ellie swung by my place to pick me up, and together we headed to Joel's house, where Sara was staying since her apartment was being renovated.
When Sara hurried into the car to escape the rain, her infectious energy instantly filled the air. She was visibly excited and radiant, which only heightened our own excitement. She greeted us enthusiastically, barely able to contain her excitement, eager to share her ideas for the wedding menu.
The tasting venue was an elegant and cozy space, perfectly decorated to create an atmosphere of sophistication and comfort. As we entered, we were greeted by a warm and helpful staff, ready to guide us through the culinary experience that awaited us.The tasting room was spacious, with tables carefully arranged and decor that combined neutral tones with touches of elegance. Large windows allowed natural light to flood in, creating an airy and inviting atmosphere even amidst the rainy day outside. In the center of the room, an imposing table was set with a variety of finely prepared dishes, each representing an option from the menu we were about to experience. From delicate appetizers to elaborate main courses and tempting desserts, everything was arranged to delight both visually and gastronomically.
The tasting experience was truly a culinary journey, filled with flavors and aromas that transported us to different parts of the world. We sampled a variety of menus, from dishes inspired by international cuisines to options featuring aphrodisiac foods, each bringing its own uniqueness and charm.
The international dishes took us on a culinary journey around the world, with exotic flavors and ingredient combinations that surprised us with every bite. From classic Italian dishes to spicy Asian fare, each menu featured a wealth of flavors and unique culinary techniques.
The aphrodisiac foods added a touch of sensuality to the experience, with carefully selected ingredients meant to awaken the senses and enhance the gastronomic pleasure. It was a delightfully fun and intriguing experience, which made us laugh and speculate about the possible effects of these foods on our love lives.
As we explored the aphrodisiac menu, Ellie didn't miss the opportunity to flirt, and I must admit they were received with a mixture of amusement and appreciation on my part. Her ability to turn even a food tasting into a moment of charm and seduction was impressive, and I couldn't help but respond with equal lightness and humor.
As we exchanged banter and knowing glances, I noticed Sara watching our interaction with a playful smile on her face. It was clear that she enjoyed the dynamic between us and found amusement in seeing how Ellie could add a touch of levity and fun to any situation. However, the highlight of the tasting was undoubtedly the à la carte menu chosen by Sara. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation, reflecting the bride's unique and sophisticated tastes. From delicate appetizers to exquisite main courses and decadent desserts, each option was a true indulgence for the senses.
As we explored the options of homemade desserts and sweets, Sara revealed her true love for sweets, proving herself to be a true sweet tooth. Her eyes sparkled at the delicious options before us, and she eagerly sampled each of the options with joy and pleasure. On the other hand, Ellie proved to be more selective, limiting herself to tasting only those that contained dark chocolate.
Her refined palate and preference for more intense flavors were evident, and she watched with a critical eye as Sara savored each sweet with joy.
I smiled softly at Ellie’s comment as I approached her, admiring the rain falling outside through the large windows. It was a quiet moment, and despite being in the midst of a lively tasting, there was a serenity in the air as we watched the rainy landscape together.
“I see you’re not much of a sweet tooth,” I commented casually, trying to start a light conversation while Sara was busy with the venue’s chef.
Ellie turned to me, a mischievous glint in her eyes, and replied with disarming sincerity: “I like you, sweetie.” I was momentarily speechless, surprised by the frankness and sweetness of her response. It was a simple confession but loaded with meaning, and I couldn’t help but feel my heart warm with her words. “You’re as gentle as the rain, it’s almost comforting,” she continued, her eyes becoming slightly clouded. “Unlike me, I think I resemble more of a raging storm.”
Ellie’s words brought an unexpected weight, and I could feel the intensity of her emotions in her words and gaze. Her eyes, which normally sparkled with vivacity, now seemed darker, reflecting an inner storm she struggled to contain.
“Ellie…” I murmured, feeling touched by the vulnerability she was sharing with me. “You are more than a storm. You are strong, brave, and full of life. Your passionate spirit may be likened to the force of a storm, but it’s also capable of bringing renewal and growth, much like the rain falling outside.”
I felt a comforting warmth spread throughout my body as Ellie wrapped her arm around my shoulders, enveloping me in a comforting embrace. With tenderness, she leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, conveying more than words could express. “Let’s get back to the sugar bombs before Sara comes hunting us down,” Ellie’s light-hearted and humorous remark brought a smile to my lips, dissipating any tension that might have arisen during our conversation. With a nod of agreement, we headed back to the tasting table, ready to continue our journey through the delicious sweets and desserts that still awaited us.
