So glad the movie gods are listening! They’re actually bringing back peak J-horror - no CGI, just excellent practical effects combined with the bleakness and eeriness reminiscent of Koji Shiraishi and Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s styles from the ’90s and early 2000s. I’ve only seen the teaser so far, but I’m already excited! So many horror authors, like Junji Ito, Kurumu Akumu, Kawakami Juoku, and Matono Anji, have even praised and promoted this movie on X.

i think at this point everyone can agree that asian horror will always have a superior hold on paranormal horror. demons, ghosts, and etc are just way scarier coming from any asian country. good for them
