First meeting

How'd we meet??

Well I think it was in a dungeon crawl. Technically, I think he was supposed to be meeting us there, and he was late and we might have just left him but he ended taking the easy route in while me and my party went the longer and much more deadly route...I'm pretty sure he ended up killing the big bad anyway too haha.

We had another wolf in the party and you'd have thought, at first, that it was like meeting a long lost brother, but they were vastly different...

I was the first one to speak to him... And instead of talking back to me, he ended up rushing me and shoved his snout in my neck to take a deep breath... I'd be lying if I said he didn't have my attention immediately.

My true downfall was when we got back outside in the sunlight... I've never seen such beautiful red fur on the Wolves. Truly a lovely mix of reds and orange and deep browns...He told us his name was Ash in his deep rumble of a voice. Everyone went through the introductions and when it was my turn he bowed down again to put his nose near my throat....

"And yours?"

"Uhh...Wren.. my name is Wren."

You'd think I swallowed a mouthful of sand before speaking..I stood so still, unsure what this Wolf would do...He acted so differently than our other Wolf....

But uh...other than making our party a tad uncomfortable with his... advances...he's never hurt any of us once.

He's also never left my side and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Which one of them has the worst luck?

જ⁀➴ As far as luck goes, Alastair definitely has the worst. His life has been filled with misfortune, and he usually finds himself losing what he cares for most. Throughout his life, there’s been maybe 1-2 years where he felt genuinely happy.

Who goes through the most relationship conflicts?

જ⁀➴ Out of the trio (Wren, Atlas, and Alastair), it’s honestly a bit of a tie. Wren, although with a much more average childhood than Atlas or Alastair, struggled to form meaningful relationships with people, especially once they realized they were a Magicus. Atlas, on the other hand, only had Cato and Ira, for practically his entire life — and Alastair with only his brother Jeremiah, Father Julius, and Mother Elise. They each have their own difficulties with vulnerability and relationships, although Alastair definitely struggles the most in the later arcs with being alone and losing the relationships he had held so close.

Who do you put through the most stressful drama?

જ⁀➴ Atlas and Alastair both have it the worst throughout the story (what can I say, they’re our favs), with as you know, Atlas being recaptured by Eden and brainwashed — two times, actually. Meanwhile Alastair goes through a LOT over the course of the story, with even going through a similar situation as Atlas during a mission — being used as a puppet for another villain’s pleasure — he also goes missing for four months. Both of their struggles with their mental health (and sexuality) are big parts of their character arcs!! They develop and change so much throughout the whole story, and are shaped by the trauma they endure, eventually coming out on the other side, happy and healed.

Who ends up in survival situations the most? How do they fair in them?

જ⁀➴ Atlas finds himself in the most survival situations. From just when he was barely a baby, he’s had to survive, to adapt and overcome. He truly does live up to his name: Enduring. Despite the cards of misfortune life gave him, Atlas has always rose out stronger, no matter how long it takes him to get out. Even with everything, he will always, forever, keep fighting.

Okay I just tried listing them all and idk if I got all of them but 🫶 we slay

My Sol Dimension OCs:

Grim the Goat (He's kinda a replacement for Eggman Nega, so he's the main antagonist in my version of the Sol Dimension. He's a skeleton goat who's a wizard and basically immoral. He's SUUUPER silly tho. He runs a lil ship with his niece, Lanolin (Yeah, I throw her in because she doesn't have a place in this AU) and she's always mega stressed because Grim does the stupidest and wackiest things.)

Cove the Wren (Kinda takes the role of Tikal/Knuckles for the Sol Dimension. He lives on Sky Babylon protecting the Master Emerald. He's actually an adult, so that's why he is the main protector. The rest of the Babylonians aren't extinct though, so good for him!)

Solaris the God of Destruction (I yoinked the name!! She's the Sol Dimension's version of Chaos. She's a wisp and lives outside the Master Emerald. She takes on the shape of a mobian phoenix, and she actually has wings. She's perfect much nonverbal, but she can make sounds like cats would lol, their chirps and hissing. She's attached to Cove, since he's been guarding her so long.)

My Future Timeline OC:

Steel the Hedgehog (She's Silver's mother, and since this AU is a DADow AU... You can fill in the blanks. She's courageous and kind of impulsive. She's somewhere on the Aroace spectrum, but she fell for Shadow after he saved her once. She's kinda insane but she's a girlboss for it. She gets killed by Mephiles when Silver is an infant LOL.)

Main AU OC:

Zurui the Chameleon (She was in the Dojo that Espio grew up with, and she was one of the people who trained him. Idk if she was his mother or what. The dojo was really strict, actually abusive when people didn't meet the standard, so Espio left.)

Spirit the Hedgehog (Weak kid with a few health problems. He's the result of Project Spirit, and was made to see spirits, hence the name. He is the first successful attempt, but is physically weak because of it. Shadow rescues him and Spitfire from whoever made them, and so Spirit grows up normally, taking interest in stuff like art, literature, and mechanics. When Spirit starts seeing ghosts, he gets to interact with Maria, whose ghost was still hanging around Shadow since she hadn't moved on yet. Spirit and Maria get to interact, and they become friends, telling each other things. Scares the hell out of Shadow tho LOL. Eventually, Spirit learns how to project spirits using chaos energy, and Shadow almost CRIES LOL... HIS SISTERRRR)

Spitfire the Hedgehog (Spitfire was made to defend the lab and is more of a power type, but was taken away as an infant. As she grew up, she had to start defending Spirit, since he's weak and kinda strange lol. When Spark comes into the picture, she has to make sure Spirit doesn't get hurt, or worse. Spark only being interested in Spirit makes Spitfire insecure, since she starts to think she isn't good enough. It's okay she gets a girlfriend who's very nice. Spitfire is very energetic and a thrill seeker, she's a bit crazy but she's a good person.)

Spark the Hedgehog (The youngest and fastest of the three, made from the leftover DNA of Sonic and Shadow, but he was altered enough so he looks their age. Spark sees himself as a pawn, just a tool to be used, he believes he doesn't have autonomy and just bends to the will of who's commanding him. He was created for the sole purpose of retrieving Spirit due to Spirits abilities, but has been stopped by Spirit's family. I've thought about having something where Spark injures Spirit, and it breaks his worldview a bit)

Silvaze:

Smolder the Hedgehog (He's the heir to the throne of Soleanna (I use the name for Blaze's kingdom bc I wouldn't use it in my 06). Oldest of 3, and the one without powers. He has a physical prowess though, so that makes up for it. He's responsible and booksmart, he wants to prove himself to be a good role model and eventual ruler.)

Ash the Cat (Middle child, who was originally going to be the youngest until I made Ember, lol. She's transfem, and her parents are very supportive of her. She's currently the least fleshed out, since Ember took a lot of her concepts lol. She has psychokinesis tho! I really really need to flesh her out...)

Ember the Cat (Youngest child, she was trained to guard the Sol Emeralds, and has pyrokinesis. She also is being trained to keep relations and communication between Sky Babylon and Soleanna, becoming great friends with Tide, who is in line to be the next protector of the Master Emerald. Her and Tide end up dating btw 💕. Ember is shy but appears reserved and mature. Ember's "burning" form is called "Ignited Ember".)

Sonilver:

Cobalt the Hedgehog (Created when Silver and Sonic used the Time Stones simultaneously. They have control over time, freely passing through it. They have seen a lot of history, and has found it interesting, but hadn't truly befriended anyone. Silver eventually finds them, and offers them a choice to live with him. They eventually decide to reach out, and they do become like family to Silver, and eventually to Sonic too. Silver and Sonic aren't together tho lol. Cobalt is AMAB but is kinda genderfluid/gender apathetic and goes by all pronouns. They identify with different parts of masculinity and femininity)

Non-ship fankid AU OCs:

Tide the Dove (The student of Cove's successor, who is going to be the guardian of the Master Emerald one day. He's shy but polite, appearing awkward at times. He had a crush on Ember for a while, but Ember actually asked him out first lol.)

Hearts the Chinchilla (Very polite and friendly, and she has a interest in baking and crochet. Spitfire fell for her and now they're girlfriends. She's very different from Spitfire, and that's why Spitfire likes her. She also gets along with Spirit.)

Hazard the Biolizard (She's just the Biolizard if she was more like Mobian. I don't have a lot down for her personality yet but she's another ARK sibling. Girlfail.)

It has been a long while since I've shared anything or even had the oomph to do any writing, but I've once again got the wind in my sails!

From an upcoming chapter of Ascent from the Ashes

She had just stepped into her other slipper when a sudden, scolding voice caused her to startle.

“Where do you think you’re going? You need to stay in bed."

Teldryn had appeared in the stairway from the basement, apparently having climbed them silently since Wren hadn't heard any footsteps or the usual creaking of stairs. His lips were curled into a sneer of mild annoyance, but his eyes showed nothing but concern.

All Wren could manage was a scathing eye roll as she turned away from him and headed to the door. Her thigh continued to burn steadily, the discomfort causing her jaw to clench. The pain in her leg was already driving her mad, the last thing she wanted was to deal with Teldryn on top of this.

"Azura's sake, Wren, you shouldn't be up at all!" His tone was tense with worry. "Maramal said you need to rest for at least-"

"Maramal can shove it up his ass!" Heat spread across her cheeks as the words flew out, and she felt her heart begin to pound more fiercely, even moreso when she turned around to see that he hadn't put on a shirt quite yet. Though she tried to stop herself, her gaze was immediately drawn to his bare chest, to the patch of hair that she found herself wanting to run her fingers through. Badly. She swallowed hard. "I'm going out."

Teldryn grinned, a response that she certainly wasn't expecting. She wanted to wipe that smug look right off his fucking face.

"Is that so, outlander? Tell me, how far do you think you'll get before you fall flat on your arse?" He pointed at her leg, as if he thought she may have forgotten about her injury. "You're going to get hurt out there, just please, stay in bed. You need to take it easy."

"I am going out whether you like it or not," she snapped petulantly, then turned away and reached for the doorhandle.

"Then I'm going with you."

"Like hell you are!"

"What are you going to do, outrun me?" He let out a raspy, wheezing cackle that made her face grow even hotter. "Sera, you couldn't outrun a one-legged guar right now. Either I'm coming with, or with Azura as my witness I will carry you back to your bed."

Whatever response she had ready died in her throat, and with all of her willpower she swallowed her pride. "Fine, you can come along. Just go put on a shirt, please."

I always liked the idea of Ashfur being obsessed not only with Squirrelflight, but with having his very own biological children. His own direct lineage. It's not just that Squirrelflight left him, it's that she gets to have kits of her own and he doesn't. Of course, he sees kits more as a status symbol rather than just wanting kits for the sake of lovingly raising anyone. He lets the three go because they aren't Squirrelflight's bio kits and in his mind, they aren't worth the trouble of then having to deal with the fall out of the three and possibly Squirrelflight's deaths to cover it all up. He wants to erase Squirrelflight's 'children' as revenge for denying him his own with her. But she doesn't have any, at least in Ashfur's mind, so he settles back for the good old revenge via exposing her publicly, letting her and her family shatter. Also because then it can be less the over all narrative of the book saying 'adoption isn't as valid as bio parenting' and more of, well, Ashfur the antagonist saying that. Also yes I'm aware of Cloudtail being Ashfur's adopted brother, however in this take of him I see them both falling somewhere during or after Firestar's quest, and that rift only growing as Ashfur adopts the mindset that the only 'true' kind of family is biological, and his jealousy at how all of his clanmates have their own, except him.

Present Day

There are moments in our journeys, where Ash has been blissfully unaware of some of the dangers we get ourselves into.

Last night, however, seeing me mangled and in desperate need of healing...he was very aware of how much my body can take. And he was also very aware that he could lose me and vice versa.

After a potion and some healing words, I was doing alright... Ash refused to let me walk. He refused to put me down even when we got back to our shared living space with the others. Straight to our room and he shredded the clothes that I still had on, not that it mattered, they were destroyed for the most part anyway. I tried talking to him but I couldn't quite get through to him.

"Ash.. Ash... Wolf, I am fine. Minor injuries now. Nothing more....well, except now I'm only cold on one side of my body seeing as you've ripped my clothes off. Wolf...set me down."

He carried me to the bathroom and somehow managed to get a bath set up, without letting me down at all. Once everything was ready though....he didn't want to put me down then either. He kept me in his arms, his nose buried in my hair at my neck...I was probably still bloody and matted.

"You weren't breathing..."

"I was breathing fine...think of it like a nap..I was alive, just kind of sleeping..."

"Wren! This isn't funny, you weren't breathing! That scar down your chest may look fine now but 3 hours ago I could see bone! You weren't breathing!"

Grabbing his face to force him to look at me, "Ash.. I'm fine now. I put my trust in you and the others to look after me because I would do the same for you. Now...please can we take a bath? I'm probably pretty disgusting at the moment."

Without looking where he was going, Ash just walks into the tub and slowly sits us both inside it.

"Ash...you're still wearing the cloth."

"Hush. I don't care."

Last night, he took immaculate care of me. Treated me almost like fine china.

This morning, however? Quite the opposite.

I woke rather suddenly to sharp claws digging into my hips and whimpers coming from behind me.

Whispers and moans as I feel Ash pin me to the bed. "Nononono. I can't lose you.. you're not close enough, how do I get you closer? Fox, I need you. Wren please, please make this feeling go away.. closer...closer."

Awake now and a bit dazed, I could feel his hips engulfing mine. His size much larger than mine while I'm in this form and I could feel his large cock between my thighs. Even with the slight pain at my hips, him being so close to me like this makes me come undone.

When I realize that there is no real advancement in his movements, I understand that Ash is still asleep.. it's hard to not grind myself on him. Being unable to move much from being pinned to the bed, I open my legs to see if that will help...maybe it could lead him to where I desperately want him now. Trying to move my hips slightly to line him up where I want him when I feel him jump. He's awake now.

Ash tries to push away from me and I hold onto his hands at my hips. "No no...please don't push away. Stay here."

"But I'm hurting you. Fox, please let go."

"No.. I can feel how hard you are...please don't pull away. I'm ready for you. Desperate even. Please stay. You were talking in your sleep..you kept saying 'closer'...so get closer."

I try again to move my hips against his length and I can hear the audible hiss through his teeth as I make contact.

One second, I'm begging him to stay, and the next, he's so deep inside me I almost forgot my name. He's pounding so hard into me, I'm sure the rest of the house can hear it but I don't care in the slightest. Let them hear.

I can hear him whimpering apologies, talking about how he can't help it, he can't lose me, he needs this closeness. The moans coming out of me don't let me assure him in any way that he has nothing to apologize for.

I can feel his claws retract from my hips and he engulfs me in his arms, pulling my back to his chest, sitting us up so my legs dangle a bit. I can feel him getting more frantic, his movements inside me getting a bit jerkier. Leaning my head back against his, I can feel his snout rubbing against my shoulder before he growls deep in his chest. I come completely undone as I feel his canines by my collar bone and the back of my shoulder. I can feel the rumble in his chest as he feels me drenching his cock inside me, and I can feel his knot pop into place at my entrance. Stretching me so wide as he spills into me, breeding me, crying out from the mixture of pain and pleasure.

Now this is not our first time together by any means, but this...this felt different. This felt needy and primal. This felt...like security in each other's arms.

Looking up at him over my shoulder when he releases me, "Wolf..are you better?"

"Wren, never leave me. Please don't ever scare me like that again.. the idea of losing you has made me absolutely feral and I will destroy anything that tries to take you from me again... Do you understand?"

"Yes, Wolf.. I understand. And you should know that I'd burn the world down for you too. In case your witch ever comes back...I will destroy everything in my wake to find you... Now...please put us down gently...your knot hasn't shrunk even a little bit, and if this is round one, I want to find a way to face you."

I'll say that so far, it's been a great day of vulnerability..and a claiming that I didn't know I needed until today.

My fav Ash trait is that he got so used to getting electrocuted by Pikachu in those early days that now when there is trouble and someone is trying to kidnap him or he's trying to pull someone to a stop he will just get Pikachu to electrocute him and whoever he is holding because he has learned to tank it while everyone else gets KO'd.
