It was my birthday :D + Happy halloweeeen!

2 days before halloween, on the 29th october, it was my birthday! :D I am now 24 as for now ^w^ Before my birthday we went on a nice relaxing train ride to big city where I was doodling some sketches on the way there and on the way home :3 You can get to see them here! I also had alot of fun at big city, it was nice looking at all the fun things and cool toys at the shops X3 Though after we got off the train, we also went to pizza hut which was before the shops, and me and my helper had some really good hawaiian pizza with ham, cheese, and pineapple, and we had em with bbq chicken wings, onion rings, and nachos with a dip and salad of our choosing! and for dessert I went for my childhood favourite: the ice cream machine! where you get to add your own sauces and toppings to your ice cream! it was great :D so that was before my birthday :3 But on my birthday I had a mcdonalds happy meal at big town! And in the happy meal I got a triceratops squishmallow X3 in The Land Before Time, they call the triceratops the threehorn dinos! that's what Cera is :3 I also got chicken mcnuggets, chips, and an oasis drink at McDonalds :3 They always do the best chips there X3 unfortunately no mcflurries this time, Mcdonalds said the machine wasn't working :c but that's alright, the food and the happy meal toy still made me happy ^w^ It's been forever since I had a happy meal so it felt nostalgic finally getting one again just like I use to do :3 I also did some fun shopping and got all kinds of cool things while I was out, including a make your own milkshake that comes in bubblegum flavour! yum! ^-^ There was also a pink version with strawberry, but I like bubblegum best so that's why I got the blue one :D it also came with candy which you can decorate the milkshake with so that sounds really cool X3 I saw some really cute pets at the pet shop too, I was saying hello to the really cute rats, gerbils, hamsters, and guinea pigs :3 The guinea pigs reminded me how much I love my ones at home so I said hello to mine when I got home, they were happy to see me ^w^ There was two black gerbils that looked just like my Dusky 💜 I miss him, he was a black gerbil too, and a very sweet one that is <:3 there was also a dark grey gerbil and a really cute light brown one with black here and there :3 I also said hello to the pet fish at the pet store, they were so cute and colourful, fish always make the funniest of faces lol X3 derrrp! XD I love how guppies have a big colourful swishy tail as they swim :3 so prettyy ^-^ I'm actually interested in getting more pets sometime if I'm allowed :o I'll see if I'm allowed birds, like zebra finches or whatnot. if not, I'll see if I'll be allowed some pet guppies because I've always loved guppies and I hear they're super easy to care for :3 and if not, I'll still be happy with my sweetest lil guinea pigs >w< They're my family and I will treasure them forever 💛 If I ever do get anymore pets they'll be family too ofcourse! ^-^ After that we came home with a bucket of kfc to enjoy at home :D The kfc people were super kind, they even gave a free cookie when they found out it was my birthday X3 I was also wearing my new Spongebob tee on my birthday that day too and I got a unicorn snowglobe for my birthday that plays a music box :3 well it's actually an alicorn because it has wings :D I have a princess castle snowglobe already that plays a music box already and I love it, it's very fantasy like ^w^ what's great about these ones is that they not only play cute music box tunes, but they also have colourful lights, and you don't even have to shake the snowglobe as the snow or glitter goes around for you when you turn it on :3 I also got some Spongebob comics which I'll enjoy and I got a squirrel plushie that's just like my old one I use to have when I was as a kid ^-^ The old one I think I may of had on my 5th birthday before, but sadly not long after back then, I was forced to send that one away or my parents will beat me up, because my abusive family always tries to take me away from the things I love, that's why I think families are stupid and a waste of time and I don't like them. Friends are so much better and I choose friends over family any day.. ÚwÙ But it's okay if you like your family tho! But I don't like mine so I hope you can understand why I don't support mine. But I'm glad I can finally be able to get my old squirrel back without my stupid family telling me otherwise and telling me what to do all the time, cos I missed my squirrel so much QwQ But now my new squirrel will get to join me as I relive my childhood <=) and she's just like my old one too! ❤️‍🩹 I can't remember what I called my old one but I think I'll call this one Acorn :3 She's a cute red squirrel ^-^ I already have a cute grey squirrel stuffie too and he's called Peanut! :D I like him aswell X3 Oh and me and my good friend Wolfypoof were having a fun discord call aswell on my birthday and after it too :D I got to play Miitomo again thanks to an unofficial revival by Kaeru X3 You have no idea how many times I stuttered that name on the call because I wasn't sure what was the correct pronounciation was XDDDD And I still don't know how it's pronounced >=D I dare you to tell me to say the...the abonibal snowman on voice call-see I even can't spell the adomino snowman either XDDD and they get confused with the yetis alot of the time too lol XD AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THE DIFFERENCES XDDD /lhj Also for once I did a birthday song and cake with friends instead of family and it was actually alot better! :D Heck even my friends put way more heart into birthday songs so much more than my family would ever do UwU even if some of my friends aren't confident singers, at least they're not lazy like my boring old family lol. I also plan to watch the Scaredypants episode and The Legend Of Boo-kini Bottom :D I'm a huge fan of Spongebob hehe X3 Oh and this halloween night I actually been out trick or treating in my fursuit! :D My helper was surprisingly a really good fursuit handler for her first time, it was fun hanging out and meeting all kinds of people and their reactions hehe X3 there was nice kids too! I was about to take my head off so I can go back to the car, but I didn't in front of the kids because I didn't want to break the magic <X3 with adults it's different ofcourse, because they know I'm dressing up, while some kids would probably think I would be a real walkin' talkin' fox XDD I actually wanna go public fursuiting more often :3 I might start doing it more on the autumn and winter because I'm not fond of the cold weather during those times, but fursuiting makes it easier to handle cold weather. -- I’m one of those who was born blonde, but my hair darkened with age. The more time I spend in sunshine the more reds and blondes show up. I thought this was the case, until the last week or two and I’m realizing it’s indeed not blonde streaks but the beginning of salt and peppering. Royalty Soaps and Sorcery Soaps Haul and Review

So I splurged and bought a number of soaps from both these artisan soap companies last week:

And my haul just came in the mail and I just had to yell about it for a bit, I’m so excited. X3 (Forgive the somewhat crappy photos, I’m still getting used to my phone’s camera)

First Impressions Shipping was prompt and quick from both companies. Packaging was pretty professional on both accounts as well, though I will say that I do think Royalty Soaps’ packaging was cleaner and more commercial looking. Customer service-wise, Sorcery Soaps seemed more personable; when I placed my order, I received an personal email from the company owner thanking me for my order and that she thought my email handle was cute. I was also sent a bunch of little surprise freebies with my package from them, which I appreciated immensely.

Royalty Soaps Review

Harvest Moon

I LOVED the design of this soap when I first saw the making of video for it, and I just had to have it. I wasn’t crazy about the scent at first when I first smelled it, but after using it, it’s actually really pleasant. The website describes it as “An alluring fragrance filled with fruits of nectar and exotic florals blended with sweet vanilla and honey for an evening filled with romance” and... yeah, I can see it. This was also my guinea pig soap to test out how these soaps perform (since they use the same recipe in every artisan bar). The first thing I noticed was how much prettier it looks when it’s wet; the colors get a lot more vivid and the swirls and micas show up better. It produces lots of big bubbles, which I liked a lot. The lather was also colored black from the mountains down there. The bar is also freaking HUGE; I can barely even wrap my fingers around it to properly use it. I can see why they recommend to cut the bars in half before you use them now, good grief.

Mermaid Treasure

Ya’ll know me, if it says mermaid on it, I have to have it. ;) I just love how bright and shimmery this bar is, and the scent is super strong, sort of a fresh, clean, effervescent fragrance that reminds me of the ocean without smelling like ocean, if that makes any sense. This is definitely one of my favorite bars.

Artisan Soap Sampler Pack

A pack of 4 random bars that have been chopped up into small pieces. I didn’t get to choose which ones were sent to me, so I ended up getting these four. Design-wise, I actually like all of these; you can’t really see the little pear seed embed in the Guilded Pear soap, but it’s there and it’s really cute. I like the golden glitter on top of the apple pie soap and the color palette on Mod for Men, but my favorite would probably be Stormy Seas, I just love that swirl. Scent-wise... I’m not that crazy about any of them, tbh. Not that any of them are BAD, because they’re not, they’re just not scents that I personally tend to gravitate toward. Of the four, Stormy Seas has my favorite scent, sort of a bracing, briny smell that does definitely remind me of the ocean, and most people would probably say it’s a more “masculine” scent. Mod for Men, has, as per its name, also more of a “manly” scent, sort of woody and herby. Apple pie does genuinely smell like apple pie; I just don’t like apple pie. XD As for Guilded Pear... I just flat out don’t like it. It’s kind of fruity, but is overwhelmingly caramel/burnt sugar/honey, and it just doesn’t do it for me

Mini Diamond Soap Sampler

Same as above, this is a sampler of mini soaps in the Diamond Soap series, which is a separate line from the normal artisan soaps. I actually really like all of these smells, though if I had to pick a favorite, I’d probably pick Limoncello in all its sugary, lemony goodness. As the Diamond soaps are a different recipe than the artisan soaps, I tested out Vanilla Fairy to see how it performed. Very bubbly, good lather, and the fragrance lingered for a long time. No complaints from me whatsoever.

Sorcery Soaps Review

Steampunk Seahorse

I think this is my favorite soap in terms of design of all the ones I got. This soapmaker’s schtick is that she molds embeds out of soap dough to put on the top of her soaps. All the items like the keys and seashells and gears were hand crafted. They don’t really show up well on the picture, but the swirls in the soap are also really gorgeous. The scent is very clean and calm, with notes of musk and florals, quite nice.

Arctic Fox

I got this solely because of the little soap dough fox on top (I named him Mattie), and really, can you blame me? LOOK HOW ADORABLE. The scent is very woodsy and musky, but in a way that’s subtle and not overpowering, so I like it. But mostly I just like the design of this soap a lot. It’s almost too cute to use.

Pink Grapefruit

This one smells really nice. Bright and fruity, but the fragrance isn’t  overpowering or even that strong. I also just really like the design of this soap. It’s simple, but it works well.

Lemongrass

The descriptor says this fragrance is supposed to be lemongrass and coconut, but honestly, any lemongrass notes there might be get covered up by the coconut, at least to my nose. As someone who doesn’t much like straight coconut scents, I actually don’t mind this one, in part because this is far more mild and subtle than any coconut fragrance I’ve ever smelled, which might be actually be the work of the lemongrass, now that I think about it. This was the Sorcery Soap I decided to test out for this write-up. It lathers well, with small, silky bubbles. It’s a very gentle soap. I can see someone with a skin condition really benefiting from this brand. As with Royalty Soaps, Sorcery Soaps uses the same recipe for all their soaps, so the performance would be the same on the other bars, I’m assuming. My one real gripe about this bar is that I really wish there was more glitter and flowers on top, like on the Pink Grapefruit bar.

Mistletoe Bunny (freebie 1)

This is a smaller bar than what they normally sell, hence why I think they gave it to me for free. The little molded candy cane pieces on top have a tendency to fall off easily, but the smell is AMAZING. It smells just like a candy cane. As someone who really loves the scent of peppermint, this is definitely one of my favorite fragrances in this entire batch of soaps I received.

Cinnamon Cocoa sample (freebie 2)

This literally smells edible. Not that I personally would eat it, since I don’t really like cinnamon, but if I were the type, I might actually be tempted.

Soap Cookies (freebie 3 and 4)

Aren’t these just darling? Such a good idea, too; these seem like they’d be perfect if you’re traveling somewhere and staying for only a couple days. The unicorn one smells woody, like a piece of furniture, which... I’m not quite sure how that matches up with the unicorn theme, but y’know, whatever. It’s certainly not bad. The rainbow one has no scent at all, as far as I can tell. Still super pretty, though.

All in all, I’m really happy with my purchases! This amount of soap is going to last me quite a long time, too, lol. I’d definitely recommend checking out both soapmakers and giving them some business if you’re ever in need of some hand-crafted soaps with good, healthy ingredients. ^^

We haveboth used swords. Granted, I’ve neverkilled anyone, heh, but technically, yes… I’ve used swords. I used to fence,and I’ve used foils, epees, schlagers, short swords, daggers, and I even got touse someone’s saber once. I did SCA fencing, not modern. SCA = Society for CreativeAnachronism. It’s fencing with a lot of the same protective gear, except we don’tjust have jacket and helmets, we have boots, gloves, hoods, gorgets, and ourhelmets protect the backs of our heads as well. This is because it ishistorical fencing, not competitive fencing, so anything is a target.Therefore, we have a lot more important areas to protect like throat, groin,armpit, wrists, and ankles. We wear armor and period clothing when we fight,and it’s just great fun. My persona was a European style, and most in myregional kingdom (yeah, we organize ourselves into kingdoms…. Bunch o’ nerds,we are, lol) were European style fencers. But there was one guy with an Arabianpersona, a Japanese guy, and a Chinese guy. So it was pretty interesting. Andwe all use different weapons forms. My favorite form is cases of swords (twoswords, I prefer them to be of equal size but one can be slightly longer thanthe other). But other people used sword and cloak, sword and dagger, singlesword, two daggers… there really are no rules except be safe heh. So yeah… gome for using swords. Although Ardeth is much better at it than I am andfrankly, he makes it look better than I do too. XD

We bothlove animals.��Can I tell you how muchI love Horus? I get teary-eyed every time he gets shot in the damn movie. And Ijust love those scenes where Ardeth is gently stroking him. It’s like… (sigh) Okay,a battle-hardened warrior gently stroking a small animal with loving care?UNNNNNNF. Am I right folks? ;) But anyway… yeah, I have had a LOT of animalsover the years… Can I list them? Sure? Maybe? Let’s try. A cat, a canary, fourrabbits, five iguanas, umpteen mice, two rats, two guinea pigs, umpteen hamsters,snails, fish, water fleas (they’re so cute!), a couple Madagascar hissingcockroaches, a couple stag beetles, two painted turtles, a snapping turtle, anda grass shrimp named Cornflake who lived for 3 years, haha. So yup… I amdefinitely an animal lover. And Ardeth is too from what I’ve seen. Not onlydoes he treat Horus with care and his reaction to him getting killed was almostlike he was losing a beloved person, which broke my heart, but have you evernoticed how he treats his horses and camels? I mean… midst of battle situationsaside, he doesn’t kick them overly hard, or hit them, or yell at them likevarious other people in the movie do. He treats them gently and with respect.

Neither oneof us is a wild child. Ardeth and I… we stick to our personalmoral codes. We have our routines and we don’t stray from them… because webelieve in what we do. If we’re forced outside of our comfort zone, we can geta little bitchy about it (the “Why can’t you people ever keep your feet on theground?” comment comes to mind heh), but sometimes we end up having fun inspite of ourselves (his face on the plane in the first movie, omfg haha). Butwild or Chaotic-aligned things don’t cross our minds to try first, if at all.We look for stable, longterm, sure-thing solutions, rather than quick fixesthat can be reckless and dangerous. Having said that… if we’re pushed, werespond accordingly, and in a pinch, we might throw caution to the wind if we’veexhausted all other options. It’s in our personalities to foster agreat amount of conviction about certain principles in life and the way weconduct ourselves, we hold other people to the same standards, and we don’tunderstand other people when they don’t do the same, heh. Compare that to myother muse, Nuada… who THRIVES on being wild. He NEEDS it, or he goes stir crazyand gets very upset. Excitement and chaos and reveling in freedom works forhim, and it doesn’t for me and Ardeth. We don’t just live rigid lives becausewe believe in them, we live them because we need to. It’s our natures to adherestrictly to our personal codes. Without that anchor, we feel very disorientedand adrift. We don’t really know any other way to function in life. It comes down to a Lawful vs. aChaotic alignment on the morality scale. Nuada can be very lawful to certainpeople, but largely in his life he is Chaotic. About his personal freedom andhabits he is definitely Chaotic. Ardeth and I are Lawful. We thrive on routine,laws, rules, codes, etc. We don’t throw wild parties, haha.

Ardeth is Muslim, whereas I am Wiccan. I… know very littleabout the Muslim religion, and so Ardeth is a very challenging muse for me towrite. I could just gloss over his religion, but if I was going to do that, I feelI have no business writing him. He is an incredibly devout soul, and to striphim of that identity would do him an injustice. I was raised Roman Catholic,but by high school I quickly realized that was not at all for me for at least47 different reasons. Now I suppose I would call myself Wiccan based on what Ibelieve, but really I just hold to a few core beliefs and try to be a goodperson. I don’t go nuts with religion at all as far as praying or keeping to aschedule or going to religious meetings or being in any religious groups. Iknow I have a strong moral compass, and I’m an okay person I think, so I juststick with that, heh. But generally, if I had to say what my “god” or “goddess”is, it’s just nature. I just believe I the forces of nature and theinterconnectedness of all things. I believe in the Threefold Law (what you putout into the world you get back threefold) and the general axiom “If it harmsnone, do as you will.” And I mean, this is something I’ve always wondered aboutArdeth, because the muslim religion is a peaceful one. So how does he reconcilewith Allah all the violence that he’s involved in? Sure, it’s for the greatergood, but does that make it okay? I am not familiar enough with Allah myself toknow, really. Maybe he feels it is a necessary personal sacrifice, or one thathe believes in anyway.

Ardethprefers swords or semi-automatic firearms, whereas I prefer a bow and arrows. I have used swords inthe past but honestly, my favorite weapon is my recurve bow. Of course, I onlydo target shooting, but still. Ardeth is… either in your face with swords orstrafing shit with the Thompson, haha. I really like the physical mechanics,beauty, and challenge of the bow. It’s just a lot more fun for me, and frankly,if I was going to use it as a weapon, I wouldn’t have to get up close andpersonal, which is better for my tiny arthritic self who could not overpower afluffy bunny. XD

Ardeth hasa great sense of direction, while I get lost in the stupidest ways. This man can wanderout in the desert BY HIMSELF with NO MAP in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE… and neverget lost. Because to him, it’s not nowhere, heh. He grew up in that desert. It’shis home. Even with the changing sands, he probably knows every inch of it. Ireally envy that, because… (sigh) I get lost if you just look at me wrong. XD Ican go to the same place every month for years during the day and the firsttime I go there at night? Lost. I can go there every day in sunny weather andthe first time it rains? Lost. All it takes is one wrong turn, one detour, onestore to put its sign in the wrong place, or one tree to get cut down, and boom…Lost, lost, LOST. I get lost… even when using a GPS. -_- I… I am a disappoint.XD So yeah, if I was ever plopped out in the middle of the Sahara, kiss my assgoodbye because I’m NEVER finding my way out, lol.

If you have a ton of pets in your house, chances are I’m going to let them surround me and drag me away. I CANNOT get away from animals. Just ask my cousin, I was at her slumber party and just hung out with her dogs and guinea pigs most of the time. They were everywhere what was I suppose to do? Ignore them? Savage. All these pets and no one went to pet them so I was willing to sacrifice myself. I was covered in dog hair. Also tried to annoy her into letting me pet her hamster. She told me no and that it bites. I’VE RESCUED KITTENS AND HAVE BEEN BITTEN AND SCRATCHED BY THEM YOU THINK I CARE?

I’ve also been bitten by hamsters before, doesn’t hurt much. Though it was a playful bite. Funny story!

I was sitting on the couch at my friends’ house and the lil guy was on it with me and when I wasn’t lookin, he snuck around me and did a playful bite on my hand and I said ‘Ow! Hey-’ He looked up like ‘what? I’ll do it again too.’ goes around me to get my other hand but I moved it quickly and he just sits up like ‘Hey >:c das no fair.’ I kept putting each of my hands up and down cuz he wouldn’t stop trying to bite me. It was cute and funny! X3
