We've played seven of the seventeen games on this shelf, not a very good return.  This is largely a Euro shelf and includes five of the fourteen Stefan Feld games in our collection.  

The Feld games we haven't played are The Castles of Burgundy and Merlin.  I've actually played Castles solo but that doesn't count for this purpose.  Merlin is one of Feld's newer games that we haven't gotten to.  Again, Feld holds a special place in the collection.  My only regret in all the purging I've done is getting rid of Macao, a game that I'd have to pay a lot of money to get back now.  So Feld stays.

The more traditional Euros we haven't played include La Granja, Clans of Caledonia, and Bruxelles 1893.  These are all economic simulators.  La Granja and Clans of Caledonia have pretty standard Euro themes of farming while Bruxelles 1893 is about collecting art.  La Granja is in the collection because of the unique player boards and the use of dice.  Bruxelles 1893 is here because of its fairly unique theme and the interesting action selection mechanisms.  I honestly don't know why Clans of Caledonia is in the collection so it needs a play.

The more unique Euros we haven't played include Petrichor, Coimbra, Obsession, and Charterstone.  Petrichor is here, first and foremost for its gorgeous table presentation, along with the theme and how well the mechanisms fit it.  I love dice Euros and Coimbra introduced new uses for dice.  This is just a footprint and brain space issue in terms of why it hasn't gotten played.  Obsession is, frankly, in the collection for my wife.  A Jane Austin style Euro, are you kidding?  Charterstone is a competitive legacy campaign Euro.  Usually I'm not a fan of competitive campaign games but this is a shared city-builder.  It's just in a queue behind other cooperative campaign games.

New Dawn is a 4X game in the Among the Stars universe.  We love Among the Stars and, even though the game play in New Dawn is significantly different, we love Artipia's vision of the future.  But, we don't play many 4X games and, so far, New Dawn hasn't hit the table either.

Of the three Feld games here we have played, my wife liked Notre Dame and In the Year of the Dragon but was not a big fan of Bruges.  I'd like to get it to the table again but, it's Feld so it's almost assuredly going to stay.

My wife really loves At the Gates of Loyang.  I think it's largely due to the veggie meeples but, regardless, she's a fan so it will be sticking around.  I do wish Rosenberg had foregone his standard negative points rules but it's still a very satisfying game.

Flash Point: Fire Rescue is one of the oldest games in our collection and, until last year, we hadn't played it.  It's a pretty standard co-op with variable player powers and bad things happening almost every turn.  Still, the theme really comes through in the game play and I'm glad we finally got around to playing it.

Roll Player is literally a hero creation game where you're trying to build the best character you can based on the dice you have available.  It's awesome and we have all the expansions for it.  I'm also really looking forward to Roll Player Adventures whenever it comes out.  A cooperative campaign with the heroes you build, yes please!

We love Among the Stars.  It is a really clever city-builder with fantastic futuristic art.  I actually own it in digital form as well because we like it enough to want to play it whenever and wherever.

This is a shelf full of games that I see staying in the collection.  Even most of the games we haven't played I'm interested in and, in some cases, excited about.  Clans of Caledonia is the only one that really stands out as an odd purchase for me.  I especially want to get Petrichor, Coimbra, and Charterstone to the table.  It's just about timing.
