For l am the first and the last
I am the venerated and the despised
I am the prostitute and the saint
I am the wife and the virgin lam the mother and the daughter
I am the arms of my mother
I am barren and my children are many
I am the married woman and the spinster
I am the woman who gives birth and she who never procreated
I am the consolation for the pain of birth l am the wife and the husband
And it was my man who created me
I am the mother of my father
I am the sister of my husband And he is my rejected son
Always respect me
For I am the shameful and the magnificent one

I'm putting this out here because I've been looking for this for ever!
known as a white hart (white stag) holds plenty of mythology symbolism as deers themselves are often tied to being gaurds or lords of the forests I've been searching for where the idea of a shape shifting deer fae came from and here I've found it in a mix of irish (whitch it is supposedly called the Èire in) it is said to be able to travel between the fae realm and mortal one.
Greek.
Where in the goddess artimis can change to one
Anglo-Saxon/British.
In where the antlers are seen as a crown or the animal was once used as a kings sign for king Richard the second.
I have been looking for a forest lord as a fae proper from what I've alwasy seen for months (i always see them as a magic deer who can shape shift) so for anyone else who sees this know it is 3 or 4 different mythologys slammed together and genralized as a forests lord at least it is as far as i can tell
Edit:
Something someone pointed out that i forgot to add was just about whatever nature deity you feel like as most have a connection to both deer and being a protecter.

That being said, why is her name Artimis? (I’m asking about what it has to do with her as a character and the story) It’s pretty and close to Artemis
Honestly? She got the name before. She doesn't have a solid story yet. I like making characters because I can.Gonna be honest, she was created first because of daydreams and the fact all I want to do in life is take a girl on a nice date and was rambling about it. And then was talking about when pretty girls come into my work (which is a lot), I am no longer Functional ™Artemis was the first name that came to mind and I wasn't sure why but she definitely has an moon arrow jewelry aesthetic going on.Though, now that I think about it, probably influenced by that post about girls named after deities that I had recently seen/reblogged. Which is fine by me. I think it suits her really.

Ok, so I know you can worship/pray to deities without working WITH them, which is what I do. I don’t call on anyone for spells, simply enjoy the feelings and give thanks to certain deities that I feel a pull to. I know certain deities don’t get along, and shouldn’t be called upon during spellwork at the same time, but can you like, worship two deities even if they don’t really like each other? Or should you steer clear from that?
#wondering as someone who has been vibing with aphrodite for months now but also feels a pull to artimis#they speak#witchblr#hellenic deities#hellenic polytheistic#hellenic polytheism#artemis worship#aphrodite worship

Artimis is one of my deities. I lover her dearly.....>_<
ARTEMIS: lady of the wild things, deep forests, animals and wild hunt. Goddess of the moon and guardian of the young girls and women.

Karen as someone who literally worships these deities I can say with full confidence that Aphrodite and Artimis can and will murder every terf and then give every trans person ever a long happy life
aphrodite… and artemis… team up… to destroy… terfs

Hello!
If you are coming from a Hellenic background there are a few options for the newbie Kemetic. since during the Ptolemaic Period the Greek and Egyptian gods we’re worshipped together there are a few ways of incorporating the Kemetic gods into your pratice.
(Forgive me in advance if I make any mistakes on the Hellenic side)
Distant - if you want to keep the two sides completely separate then that is completely fine. There is an example of the tomb of a priest of Hathor and Aphrodite, on one side of her tomb she uses a Greek name, wears Greek clothes and is a priestess of Aphrodite and on the other she takes an Egyptian name, wears Egyptian clothes and is a priestess of Hathor. Two sides, but separate.
If this is the way you want to go then there are a few things to watch out for - as they are two separate cultures, here are a couple examples for you;
Female hair - in Greek culture long hair down can be considered a source of miasma, whereas in Egyptian there are plenty of examples of hairstyles with hair down that were considered divine.
Ritual purity - bathing and using natron (an early form of soap) is a part of pre-ritual pratice.
Undershoe inscriptions - in Hellenic culture and magic writing something on the sole of your shoe is a common way of keeping good things with you with every step, in Kemetic this is a curse, you’re stamping on it with every step
☀️☀️☀️
Complimentary/Cross cultural syncretism- the Ptolemaic government went to great lengths to try to ensure a religious cohesion between their Greek and Egyptian citizens. The Greeks compared their gods to the Egyptians so there are quite a few deities that can be seen in this light as very similar. For example Bastet and Artimis, Hathor and Aphrodite, Hermes and Thoth... the list goes on.
With some careful research I think it would be more than acceptable to worship some Egyptian deities within a Greek setting or vise versa, but double check first and if possible ask the gods if they mind.
Some Egyptian deities formed completely new composite deities who were worshipped by both Egyptian and Greek citizens, like Serapis and Isis, Thoth-Hermes-Thrice Great, Ammon-Zeus. These deities were almost exclusively Egyptian cultures that had adapted with a Greek influence to become some mixture of the two.

Advice on Beginning Kemeticism?
Hey! So, I am trying to begin a journey into Kemeticism. I’m already a Hellenic Polytheist and would like to be both. Are there any good blogs, tips, or things you wished someone had told you as a newbie?
