I found a beautiful Japanese tea box at a thrift store and transformed it into one of my corvid boxes. A corvid box, because it's made by a Raven, but it's ment for anyone who enjoys curio treasures.
Tumblr media
One of my biggest corvid boxes...

The bottom of the box has been decorated too. I thought I was basically finished with this piece, but how many matchboxes I needed. I need to make 6 more look like this:
Tumblr media
Haven't decided if the other 6 matchbox sleaves will use sheet music or different paper...but I'm leaning towards variety...
Tumblr media
And some close up glamor shots...
Tumblr media
Everything is ment to picked up and interacted with...
Tumblr media
Shape, color, texture all play into the intention behind it's creation, and of course lots of shines...

I had a different arrangement and assort of items at first, but took everything out to decorate the interior of the tea box. I think my second arrangement came out even better. 🖤🍄🐛

All Oc are cannon no matter if they are created by me or not
(the only thing that is non-cannon is the interactions between my characters with a character that not made by me unless i made it cannon)

This is a great video, and I want to share my own thoughts on the matter. The question for me is: does the style used work for the story you're telling? In a comic meant to feel grounded and realistic, these anatomical errors would break the suspension of disbelief. In a story featuring over-the-top absurdist action with strong horror elements, the bad anatomy only adds to the tone. It's like comparing Watership Down to Looney Tunes: a realistic-looking rabbit would feel off in an absurdist comedy, while Bugs Bunny would be completely wrong for Watership Down. All the anatomical and proportional errors that work stylistically in Hellsing—making it more frenetic in the action scenes or disturbing in the horror scenes—may not work if Hirano were attempting a straight-up Dracula adaptation. I will say two things in criticism of Hirano, however. Seras is meant to be a respectable, timid, even innocent character. In light of that, I find her unrealistically sexualized body (especially the weirdly exaggerated boobs) distracting, much in the same way Alucard's proportions would be distracting in a more grounded comic like Watchmen. One panel that always stuck out to me as "that's just wrong" was when Maxwell looked behind him toward the audience at one point—it looked like he'd snapped his neck. It wasn’t in a horror or action scene; it was just an over-the-shoulder shot during dialogue. Moments like this appear throughout the series. However, for the most part, the limitations in Hirano's draftsmanship come across as deliberate stylistic choices. I think Hirano is aware of his limitations and chose a style and subject matter that play to his strengths. He has admitted to not paying attention to consistent scaling or accurately drawn weapons, focusing instead on whatever looks the most dramatic in each panel. He’s like the Todd McFarlane of Japan.

My art process for Snug in the Witch’s Cloak!
[Description: Time lapse art process for art of a fluffy orange cat curled up in black cloth on a wood table. Behind the cat are shelves with pumpkins and a black witch’s hat on a stand. It’s against a purple wall with a large rectangular window that lights the scene. Outside is a starry night sky and a full moon that baths the cat in moonlight. The orange cat is based on a reference photo of a real orange cat sitting on a blanket.]

We are more than aware that perfection does not exist. Yet, when creating, we nonetheless pursue it; that's the only way to get closer to it.
