I like that when they find out that Rio is Death, they only refer to her as "Agathas ex" without the added 'girlfriend' or 'wife' label because even they don't know. I think both are a possibility. I think Vi wanted to fix her hair but she got knocked out before she had the chance to and then woke up to her beautiful red hair which Cait likes so much. Also Cait definitely washed her wife's hair herself. Also took care of her while she wasn't awake and bandaged her wounds as well.
