Fic: Splinters, ch9, Cahir/Ciri

I realised I never posted the update here. Most of the readers have already seen it, but for completion, here’s chapter 9.

Hidden in his spot, with only the muted hum of traffic for company, he lights a cigarette and takes out his phone to mull over the message to Ciri once more. Something casual. Something neutral—

His screen lights up, a notification with her name pops up, and Cahir opens the message with a mix of excitement and trepidation.

'My bed is entirely too big for one person. Ideas?'

Cahir chokes on the smoke he inhaled and has to take a few breaths to get himself in order. Before his brain has a chance to catch up with him, he's dialing her number.

"Just to think I spent some twenty minutes trying to come up with something that's not sleazy," he says instead of greeting.

"You should know better by now," Ciri retorts, and he can hear the grin in her voice.

Cahir laughs as the tension dissolves and he's back on the familiar ground: just him and her and no pretence.

"How is your return to reality?" He asks softly, and can almost see her smile.

"Tough," Ciri says. "I'd much rather go back to Aretuza. Although a few more bills from that establishment and I may run out of Emhyr's past transgressions to milk."

I was tagged by the super talented @thegirl20  Thank you!! I make just gifs and tbh I have been very biased this year 😅 I’m completely aware of it lol making mostly The Witcher/Tissaia stuff, but well, I'll try to add something else. Edit: I tried.

1.- Who are you? Tissaia de Vries. Rectoress of Aretuza.

This isn't the first set I made for the show or for her, but I'm chosing to start with this one bc I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I really like the coloring for once and the shots that made it. I actually had trouble chosing the scenes bc I love how she looks in every single one lol

2.- #Tissaia planning murder

Another Tissaia set. I had the idea while choosing the caps for something else (it usually happens that way), the coloring looks a bit different to the rest bc I used a different file, but eh I like it.  Also it turned out to be a pretty popular gifset. I mean, fck Stregobor right?

3.- Yennefer x Tissaia first set

I love them and I just had to make something for them. There's actually a second set that I made that I see it like a sequel of sorts for this one bc once again I left too many good scenes out. I really how this one looks though, I had a blast making it. And it's also amusing to read the tags.

4.- Betty Gilpin Rewatches GLOW's Best Scenes

This is the last set I made for GLOW before it was canceled. I'm still not over it. I'll never be over it. Look how happy Betty looks. Fck you Netflix.

5.- Yennefer x Tissaia icons

I hadn't made icons in a while. Not a big batch anyway, sometimes I just make one for myself to use it here but that’s it. But a few people commented on my header and I was like hmmm, I could make icons instead. I love colorful stuff so I think these turned out ok.
