the role of oracle, which she never wanted, following the death of her sister Lunafreya, who was barely with her for a day before she was murdered in front of her eyes. She has been recognized as queen of Tenebrae, only after killing her brother Ravus turned into a daemon, never managing to reconcile because both preferred to accuse the other of being a traitor who abandoned Tenebrae.
She was able to discover the reason for her powers, but at the cost of her boyfriend Noct being absorbed for 10 years by the crystal and the answer did not improve anything. She is the mortal reincarnation of the goddess Eos who gave her name to the star, and the original astral, mother of the six elemental gods and the goddess of death Etro. She was born with the sole purpose of taking her six children to the kingdom of her daughter Etro for her careless acts towards mortals. But she really does not want to kill Gentiana who she has known since childhood or Titan and Ramuh, whom she has come to respect. Well she only wants to kill Leviathan whom she blames for the death of Luna and the destruction of Altissa, and definitely Ifrit and Bahamut.
In the following 10 years, she suffers assassination attempts by Ardyn and Bahamut. She struggles to fulfill her duties as queen and oracle, leading Tenebrae while avoiding the realm of darkness. She has been learning the extent of her powers and believes she is capable of facing the Dracoin.
Upon Noctis' return, she joins the Chocobros to reclaim Lucis, but rather than allow Noctis to sacrifice himself, Stella convinces Ardyn to infect Bahamut with Starcouge, promising the death of the astral and that the cursed immortal will reunite with Aera in the realm of Etro.
The plan is for an angry Bahamut to cast Terra Flare, but Stella must prevent this by casting the more powerful Mega Terra Flare, but must return to being Eos to kill Bahamut in the spiritual plane. In order to avoid losing another important person, Noctis convinces the other astrals and the spirit kings of Lucis to grant their power to Ardyn to kill Bahamut in the astral plane.
The entire cast fights against mini-Bahamut, until Stella manages to destroy it with Mega Terra Flare. Ardyn manages to get revenge on the draco and reunite with Aera.
The crystal shatters as does the trident, the remaining gods decide to accept Eos' punishment as they recognize that their lack of action against Bahamut and disinterest in mortals caused all the problems, but Eos gives them a second chance for their efforts to save the world, but now they must agree to form contracts with any worthy mortal (Hello summoners) and stop being destructive. Etro is worshipped again by humans, and takes Bahamut's place as leader of her brothers, with the duty of watching over them.
Stella and Noct marry and rule Lucis and Tenebrae together, and have two children. They are happy although the pain of losing her brothers is always present in Stella.

Springing for the Latin with the ask game! Arma Deorum Sunt let's gooooooo
WIP File Game
*cracks knuckles* You better strap in because I have been wanting to talk about this fucking behemoth of a WIP for literal god damn months but have been too worried to annoy people about it.
Arma Deorum Sunt is very very loosely translatable to either "the gods are weapons" or "they are the weapons of the gods" according to whatever translator site I used when I was brainstorming a fic title. And it's incredibly on the nose given what this story is about.
The basic pitch is thus: modern day crossover of FFXV and FFXVI (although it's really just taking Valisthea and shoving it east of Lucis lmao) where magic is still prevalent in the world via crystals and Bearers but Dominants haven't been seen in at least a thousand years, fading into myth. That is until within a very short amount of time 4 different children - Lunafreya, Noctis, Dion, and Joshua - are chosen by their respective gods (Eikons, Astrals, however they would be called within their culture) to become Dominants. Which ultimately uncorks the bottle and over time more and more awaken. As the initial quartet are basically children, and either royal or noble children at that, they get to enjoy a few years just being kids who happen to have special powers, but if you know anything about either game's story those happy times aren't going to last long.
The major inciting incident that'll kick everything off is honestly the most serendipitous blend of the tragedies of Fenestala Manor from XV and Phoenix Gate from XVI, as the Niflheim Empire at that time has no Dominant of its own and tries to capture them while the four are all together. How exactly that infamous night goes down I'll leave for whenever I actually have the time to dedicate to writing the fic.
I will however give a few highlights from the outline that I love most.
Luna and Jill grow up together, which I loved the idea of as a mirror to Luna being watched over by Gentiana/Shiva in XV. Jill awakens as a Dominant much later than Luna did so when she finally does come into her icy powers she has a keen understanding of what's going to happen to her from having watched what Luna has to go through as Niflheim's pawn. She knows immediately that she's just become another tool for Niflheim to use.
Joshua survives the tragedy and when the Undying swoop in to rescue him they're granted safe passage to Lucis to help him recover. And there Joshua remains for a long time in secret, growing close to Noctis and the other chocobros while keeping an eye on Valisthea from afar. I admit this is mostly because I wanted to let Joshua and Prompto becomes buds.
Speaking of Prompto, he's among the folks who get to become a Dominant in the fic but I'm being mean to him. Given the circumstances surrounding his unique background he would not have been rescued from Niflheim as a baby like in XV canon, and he gets to spend the most one on one time with Ardyn. Sorry Prom :(
Clive, I feel, gets the shortest straw physically possible. Taken prisoner in Sanbreque and forced into their military, no longer just branded as a dispensable soldier but known rather infamously for what went down that night at Fenestala and made use of as the Dominant of Ifrit. Thankfully Dion and Terence will take a much more active role in staying by Clive's side and doing what they can to help him.
I'm also quite eager to write Ardyn in this fic. I had to reconstruct his backstory to better fit the vibe I'm going for but he's still the same slimy bastard we all know and love (to hate). He and Barnabas both have antagonistic roles to play in the fic but I do feel Ardyn shines just a bit more lol.

Can I ask a bit about your process for making Nova Fae and Goblin? I have this need to make my ffxv ocs but also I dont even know where to begin
Nova: For Nova, I just made a person in character creator for comrades to play with Mod Mae and slowly built up her personality and life. I find that I put in a little bit of my own personality when I make characters and Nova was no different. If you want any specific information I'm more than happy to answer! Mae: Absolutely! Thank you for asking! I encourage OCs whole-soul. For my Goblin OC, I tried to tug at the avatara sliders until I got something that was normal looking in that dorky, non-glamorous way, like someone I'd pass at the coffee shop. I love how detailed the face and body options are, even if the hair and clothing options are... slim pickings. I don't know what compelled me to take Sarah's dress and Gentiana's boots, but they stuck.
(My efforts to mod new avatara clothes began about two months ago and have as of yet proven futile.)
Writing with Nova really filled in the rest! Goblin's gimmick is that she has every opportunity to make good decisions, but is ineluctably compelled towards bad decisions, namely Ardyn. I then try to let that inform my screenshots by catching the patron saint of responsibility making sour faces at her, and also cheating Ardyn into the party so that they can stand vaguely near each other while I pine and blush and accidentally die to a havocfang.

What I’ve never understood about this scene is, if Gentiana had the ability to fucking freeze Ardyn why did she do nothing to rescue Luna lol?
The only answer I can think of is that she can’t. Bahamut doesn’t want her to, because Luna has to die to plunge the world into darkness.
And if that’s the case then why tf is anyone supporting these gods and why is Noctis not more pissed that she did NOTHING to protect Luna
If I was Noctis I’d be furious and angry with Shiva. It doesn’t really make sense

I thank Maetel Cho for sharing his game "FFXV - Somnus is Noctis", there is even gil instead of gladio, it's perfect!! thanks to you ! I managed to save precious time!

I mean. Which planet wouldn't have a fossil record? If there's life somewhere, you should be able to trace it back through the fossils found in the area.
Unless you mean a fossil records for human habitation, which honestly might be interesting. Because two thousand years ago - aka when Rome was just turned into an empire and most modern nations didn't exist - Eos had a planet-wide civilization that was further along the technology tree that Earth is currently.
Then it got burned down in a divine war and the humans got blasted back to something like Iron Age. And then they rebuilt. Because that's how it works. And now Eos has freaking airships, mecha and cyborgs, large scale cloning and so on.
Admittedly, most of this is in Niflheim but Lucis probably has their own stuff, like those shield amplifiers that were used to protect Cavaugh.
***
The thing about Astrals is that nobody has seen any of them in public - Galahd doesn't count - since Somnus and Ardyn.
Knowingly, that is.
I don't think many people are aware that Luna's dogs are Messengers, or who Gentiana is. They definitely don't know about Besithia dragging Ifrit's corpse to his lab.
So, the SGC would treat it as any other religion - tells you things about the culture, might be connected to Go'auld or some other aliens, but ultimately not something with military applications.
***
The thing is that monarchies are not unknown on Earth.
Yes, even in the modern times of 1999 when it takes place.
Really, the only interesting thing here is that Regis wields more power than most modern monarchs, because Lucis is an absolute monarchy and not a constitutional one.
(Same with Niflheim and the scraps of Tenebrae that have some independence.)
Which might make eventual negotiations kind of interesting - whether the SGC gets an alliance or at least further access to the ruins depends entirely on one person's goodwill.

So like. SG-1 is scouting around and they see a herd of weird animals that look like a cross between a unicorn and a gazelle of all things, except kind of weird. But also not the weirdest they have ever seen. And they try to keep their distance, really, they're not stupid enough to approach unknown animals.
Except suddenly the entire herd starts running right at them, so of course they also start running to try to get out of the way. Only it turns out the Space Unicorns are running from a bunch of predators that look like really really big cats. Like, big honkin' space cats.
And oh shit, the Cats decided that humans actually offend them on a personal level, so now the team is really hauling ass to get away. And maybe taking some potshots at the Cats, who basically just shrug it off what the hell, and also they can zap you like their grandma was an electric eel, seriously what the hell, and maybe the team is running in the wrong direction, Daniel! the base is the other way! except is kind of too late to change that.
So they make it to the shore and are running along the beach, at least it's rocky and not sandy that would have been really bad to run along. And it looks like the cats are bored of the chase because they all stopped further back and now are only growling and hissing in their direction and backing away.
. . .
. . .
. . . something is growling real loud behind them.
