Autumn in the city in the lens of professional photographer Elena Rubinskaya.
The pictures show the Khvatov house, built in the 1880s-1890s in Kostroma. It is a monument of urban planning and architecture. It is a very beautiful house and outwardly even in very good condition, which is now a rarity for houses of the 19th century. After the revolution, new residents moved in, and in 1946 it was renovated. And the descendants of the first owners came only once in the early 1990s from France. No one else has heard of them.

Setting the pace for the new breed of empire builder in science, he launched a public subscription drive for larger facilities, which by the start of the First World War brought in pledges of sixteen thousand pounds – the bulk of it from Sir Herbert Bartlett, a wealthy contractor who desired an architectural monument but was indifferent to what the monument contained.
