Part 1 of Ace! April + Best friend Dynamics - Next? Some context: April isn't very confident about being around people in canon. She's weird and badass, and while we love that, she thinks she's got to 'be normal' to be liked, and make friends. It reminded me of the Ace Experience, and how that'd add another layer to the slow acceptance that is herself. Enter Donnie.

April reminded me of the zombie girl from the album Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy by Mindless Self Indulgence, so I decided to draw April like her (and some Mikey bc I couldn't help but draw him)

The Biggest Apple: 1 pm

During an encounter with some evildoers sent by the foot, Channel 6's rising star April O'Neil was put through an unexpected change she never saw coming as the potent Formula M concoction was unleashed in their hasty retreat. In the process, April grew up to more than 70ft or so; towering the streets of the "big apple" in her new found size. The creator of this formula: Katrina Charlotte; a new mutant from abroad, was almost cought by the foot if not for the caring hands of April.

As depicted here, our spidery inventor deeply regrets what her latest creation has brought upon, while April assures her that she shouldn't blame herself; besides as the experienced reporter she is this is far better than what previous adventures entailed, that "this is as freaky as it gets on every Friday and you just have to roll with it" she says, with a smile across her face as she tries to calm this fuzzy genius' head and ease her worries.
