Well, I am not very sure I am playing right. I can't speak to people nor offline nor online somehow, so I am missing a lot.

• First, you will have to type password everytime you go to play.

• Then, choosing a server to play on. Each one has their own purpose, there are American and European, some are RP oriented, some are for raids, etc. Although I've heard people there are insufferable with particular rules. (I play on Landroval and I like it so far).

• There are lots of setup to prepare. For graphic options there are videos and articles.

In Options you will find UI settings, where you will be able to change size of various elements (map radar, quest tracker, etc.)

• For a good time I didn't know how to change size of a text in quest dialogue.

• You can look up how to set up chat as well, and text there can be colored for you to notice stuff easier.

• And once you set everything for your use, you can save it by typing /ui layout save [name] in chat. If you change something accidentely, you can make it look like before with /ui layout load [name] command.

• Then there are useful plugins to help with better game experience:

I have Deed Tracker, Emotes Helper (to have all emotes automatically in a separate window) and Lotropad (very useful for saving commands so you can just copy/paste them, other game details; and you can upload images (maps with specific locations for example, but I put funny backgrounds for my text xD)

I also have Opaque Quest Tracker and MoorMap.

And SongBook for those who want to be musicians. But I only play My Little Pony and TF2 Soldier Theme xD

• Another things I was unaware for a good time are cosmetic outfits (I don't remember why but I couldn't slot anything there so I assumed it's a pay-for-thing, there happened this funny screenshot though) and one bag instead of 3 separate ones (opening one bag is more comfortable for me, and to make one you just need to drag slots from other bags to the first one while in edit mode).

• There is also a Filter Panel, to filter out some loot, quests and sounds. For items you need to drag it into a panel (I put lootboxes there).

• There are things like LOTRO points you can get through doing deeds in game rather than transfering your money (I spent my first good bunch on making steeds faster for the whole account, but you can also save some for buying a game content expansion).

• Folks in chat also remind of codes sometimes that give you useful stuff (to redeem a code you will need to go to the LOTRO store).

• Yeah, since I am a f2p player, I have to write down destinations to navigate easier in Middle Earth. I am writting them down to not forget:

• Finally, there is also https://lotro-wiki.com/, quite useful. And if something is unclear for me, I go to search for answers in websearch or on YouTube.

• And, I see people do play the game differently, you can skip quests and do whatever, but I am personally here for going through LOTR story and watching the stories of LOTRO characters too (even if I am mostly interested in dwarves and hobbits, but oh well). There are also seasonal Festivals in game, they are fun! You will be able to get a good looking outfit and a beautiful steed.

I think I wrote down most of what brought confusion to me first time. For sure I forgot something important, but I hope you will be able to find answers. Good luck.

So in my planning doc for ADKoE I have about 8 or 9 more potential chapters but, tbh the back end of this fic is not as thoroughly planned out as the front end was lmao so that is potentially not accurate. Looking at the list theres a couple of things I may decide to can cut or combine depending on how I want to approach certain events so 🤷‍♀️

There are still a few more kinks i want to get through though

As for a sequel - at one point i did consider it but i dont think its very likely to happen any more.

Also that one little comic with Sofie thanking Mercury was adorable and the cat eye expression on mercury’s face made me laugh. I am also curious about Sofie’s standing in the au what does she do? Short answer:

How Sofie and Mercury met:

After separating from the Stardroids, Mercury met Sofie (24) for the first time after her little sister Penelope (7) tried to save Mercury from a moving car. Both ended up getting saved by Sofie instead. Mercury returned the favor later by guiding a very lost and scared Penelope back to her big sister. 

Mercury and Sofie met several more times after that, completely by coincidence, and he eventually decides to stick around.

Sofie Miller:

Sofie is a supporting side character in the AU. She’s Minx’s long-time best friend and big sister figure. She works as a tailor with her mother in America, and helps raise her little sister, Penelope (7). Sofie is usually away from where most of the drama happens (Japan).   Long version below

How Sofie and Mercury met:

While I have yet to create a scene sketch for this, the conditions leading to Mercury and Sofie’s meeting is largely a result of Mercury separating from the other Stardroids, leaving him stranded on Earth. Why? Certain conditions in the story (avoiding spoilery infodump) lead him to believe his best course of action was independence–he wasn’t super close with them, anyway–even becoming an occasional threat to his former brothers in the future. Conflicting interests and whatnot.

Anyway! Mercury meets Sofie through her little sister, Penelope, several months after separating from the Stardroids. My (simplified) main thought of how this interaction would go is something along the lines of:

Mercury roams the NET and real world of the city Sofie lives in hunting Negative Energy Crystal (NEC) shards while keeping a low profile.

While traveling around the city in cat-form, he gets chased into the street by a dog. Penelope spots him and tries to grab him to stop him from being hit by a car, only for both Mercury and Penelope to get snatched out of the way at the last second by a very startled Sofie.

Mercury later returns Penelope’s good will by guiding her back to Sofie when she gets separated from her big sister. Penelope thanks “Mr. Jelly” (because he’s squishy for a cat) for helping her, and he leaves. 

Shenanigans ensue, and Mercury runs into Sofie several more times before deciding (for plot reasons) to stick around. Although that’s technically their “first” meeting–Sofie meets Mercury in his 'Stardroid' form later in the AU.

Additionally, The Stardroids, unlike most other Navis, are not bound to the NET in this AU, and can actually easily travel in and out of it as they wish.

Sofie Miller    

Sofie is Minx’s long-distance best friend and big sister figure, and has been for over a decade. Both girls met around 10, and Ra Moon helped them keep in contact after Minx moved away. 

Sofie is an incredibly hard working individual who had to grow up fast to help her mom run their family tailor shop and raise her little sister. As a result, she is very calm-minded, practical, and patient (she wouldn’t be able to stand Mercury otherwise). 

As far as what she does in the story: Sofie is a supporting side-character. Minx–who is more of a main character in this AU–highly values her input and follows her advice when appropriate. She and Minx are absolutely found family–Minx adores and idolizes her, and does whatever she can to help her out, like offering her contracts to collaborate with Minx for work*. Found family is a huge theme in this AU!

More specifically, she is very much Minx’s rock during the end of Arc 1 and beginning of Arc 2 (4 Arcs total so far) after Ra Moon is “destroyed” and the Stardroids appear. Although Sofie does not live where most of the action takes place (Japan), that does not prevent her from having a decent impact on the story–especially when Mercury shows up. To Sofie, Mercury is Minx on crack.

*(Minx works for IPC’s video game department, creating and selling custom style chips that mirror video game character clothing/accessories/weapons from IPC games. Sofie creates real-life models for some of these, which is used as a reference for the tech/chip team)

ik people are irked about the timeline reset essentially meaning that theres no punishment for the characters who are criminals (kisaki) but the point of the reset, i think, is prevention and reformative justice. its not exactly surprising to me that takemichi wanted to save him too considering how he talks about kisaki at the river bank after his death. in this new timeline everyone is innocent again and he has a choice between spiting a kid for what he would do or, helping him grow into a better person, saving kisakis victims in the process. choosing the latter is very in character for takemichi imo. the story is still flawed but, at least for me, this part made sense

I don’t even know what to say honestly since this chapter is not even the actual ending. While I can see where you come from and I respect it, I still stand by my point that everything just fast paced and that- it seems to me the author was trying to avoid giving at least a little bit of context to this resolution that he chose in this chapter. I know Takemichi’s goal was to save Hina at first, and that it slowly grew into everyone who were involved with the incident that effected Hina + created a bond with them at the same time, and when everything has [supposed] to come to an end, all is left was Mikey.

Funny cuz the point of this manga is not saving people who can’t or don’t want to be saved - make their own choice in which path they’re walking, plus there’s always silver lining to every choices they made, the point of this manga is not erasing each character’s trauma - while it is indeed an understandably painful experience, it is also a stepping stone for someone to grow into becoming a better person and be free from its shackles. Ofc no one deserves trauma, but even without it, you will still experience other bad stuffs and the way you deal with it is equivalent as I’ve mentioned along the same sentence. To make it short, you can never escape what has been written for you, therefore - the actual point of this manga is to make you face reality with the fact that some people has their own resolve, and that even if you possess an ability or power to help everyone, you need to realize that you’re playing with their fate. We can see this from when Takemichi went back to back from past to present and vice versa, nothing seemed alright no matter how much he changed it.

Talking about fate, I wonder about Takemichi’s. I wonder what the final conclusion of his journey as a time leaper will be and what type of fate/destiny awaits him; a truly happy ending or a bittersweet ending. Tbh I don’t mind at all. I’m just curious hehe.

I think, in regards to the season 2 combination of books 2 and 3 theory, that it is unlikely. The writers have been good at pacing, and Netflix is usually very good at pacing, so I think, just me personally, that all this fear about the combination of both books is unlikely. I think, what's going to happen, is they'e going to carry over a storyline or two. My personal like, this is crazy but imagine it, theory is Mal is going to die and that's the cliffhanger story line they took over.

Interesting theory! I really hope they expand this at least for another season and just don't cram everything into one. The worst case scenario here is them doing s&s + r&r + soc. It'd be hell.

I know you don't write for faeformers that much but my sister and I keep thinking about a cross between monster hunter stories 2 and faeformers. I just really want to tell you this. My sister and I have been discussing this for over a month. Rider from the game ends up at the summer court with a bad head injury, maybe from trying to hunt down a powerful and destructive newborn elder dragon who opened a portal into that world. The summer court helps them after finding an odd human with blood pooling out from a deep gash in the back of their head, but unbeknownst to them is that Ratha went to find help and when he returns to find his rider missing he goes into a frenzy trying to find them. Add in that in the game you can have a total of six monsties with you at a time. And you have a powerful doughnut loving felyne named Navirou. You gain monsties by hatching them from eggs you find in dens. Almost like Pokemon. So you have five other monsties trying to find their rider and Ratha. Twist is that the fae can't trap the rider or their monsties with fae food and they can cross through the barrier, maybe because they are not from the same world. So different monsties in each court causing chaos by trying to find each other and their rider. Not really caring for anyone trying to interact with them unless they have food or are trying to hurt them and then they would strike back with their own powers. The newborn elder dragon causing chaos in the new world. Jack and Alexis unintentionally forming a friendship with the rider's Silverwind Nargacuga or her Sand Barioth. Each one has their own unique look, abilities and temperament. (My sister and I really need to write this.) Sorry for bothering you I wanted to know if you would be ok if my sister and I wrote this. We would give you credit for the faeformers.

in German, sometimes prepositions and articles mesh together.

e.g.

Ich gehe zur Schule. = Ich gehe zu der Schule.

Ich gehe zum Training. = Ich gehe zu dem Training.

Ich bin im Urlaub. = Ich bin in dem Urlaub.

you can find a lot more examples in this article.

So that means "zum/ zur" happens because after a "zu"-preposition the noun is nearly always in dative case (Ich gehe zu wem oder was?).
