A glimpse of Apo's role in the still not officially announced film he worked on last year.

I've seen people calling the film Felony but whether that's its real name or not still seems undisclosed but hopefully we'll know soon as the film is coming to Netflix Thailand (and hopefully to the rest of Netflix 🙏🥹)

Thai fans are saying he is playing Tee Yai which is very exciting if true as Tee Yai is a legendary figure at this point, akin to someone like Robin Hood or Billy the Kid.

Tee Yai was a real life criminal in the seventies who was so good at avoiding capture that people said he must have magic powers.

He was also said to be "a fierce tiger with a jade face," and considered very handsome.

Apparently he had a whole bunch of girlfriends and according to some, he only stole from the rich but there are a number of stories around him and at this point fact and fiction are very blurred.

There have been numerous film and TV adaptations about his life with very well known actors taking the role.

Apo said once in an interview that he was very excited and proud to take on this role and that it was one his parents would be impressed by which does make sense if he is playing such an iconic character.

From the little glimpses we have he does remind me of Sornram in the 1999 TV drama about Tee Yai.

We know this is the role Apo grew a beard for

The funniest thing in ep. 4 is that there is a product placement for cheese and Kinn puts it on the cooking ramen and Porche's face is the most disgusted during the entire dinner and to be fair I'm not sure whether this product placement was successful in Thailand

Apo's film is listed as coming soon on netflix and you'd better believe I hit the reminder button the second I could.

Film Facts

The cinematographer Pia Teerawat also worked on a couple of dramas I've seen - From Chao Phraya to Irrawaddy and Bangkok Blossom and both of those shows were gorgeous so I'm excited about that.

Director Nonzee Nimibutr also worked as a director for Nang Nak and was a producer for Bang Rajan, two very successful Thai films.

Nonzee worked with Pia Teerawat before on the wonderful Thai film Once Upon A Star, all about the "golden age" of Thai cinema in the 60's/70's which is also on Netflix and I highly recommend it.

Executive Producer Nat Chartchai has also previously worked on ManSuang, The Paradise of Thorns and From Chao Phraya to Irrawaddy
