Did you know the Saltwater Crocodiles can jump 10 feet out of the water? 🤯
Saltwater crocodiles are known for their ability to jump out of the water. They can reach heights of up to 10 feet, and even more in some cases. This ability is a result of their powerful tail muscles and buoyancy control.
Credit: 🎥 Video by Trevor Frost
The tail muscles of a saltwater crocodile are incredibly strong. They can generate enough force to propel the crocodile out of the water with a single powerful thrust. The buoyancy control comes from the crocodile's lungs. When the crocodile wants to jump, it takes a deep breath and then exhales forcefully. This reduces the amount of air in its lungs, which makes it more buoyant. This allows the crocodile to jump higher and further.
Saltwater crocodiles use their jumping ability for a variety of purposes. They may use it to catch prey, defend themselves from predators, or simply to get a better view of their surroundings.
Thank you for reading! I hope you found this post interesting and informative. If you did, please share it with your friends and followers. I appreciate your support. 🙏

The jaguar is one of the most feared predators in the animal kingdom, especially for humans. One of the reasons for this is its powerful jaw muscles that allow it to crush the skulls of its prey, delivering a quick and efficient kill. Unlike other big cats such as lions and tigers, jaguars have shorter, more muscular necks that make it difficult for them to deliver a fatal bite to the neck. Instead, jaguars use their unique hunting technique to take down their prey. They often stalk their victims and attack from behind, delivering a powerful bite to the back of the skull or neck, which can instantly kill even the largest of animals. They also have a unique way of killing prey, which is to crush the skull with their powerful jaws, which can exert over 1,500 PSI biteforce. This method of killing not only ensures a quick and efficient kill, but it also allows jaguars to take down larger prey than other big cats that typically go for the neck. Jaguars are known to prey on a variety of animals, including deer, monkeys, birds, and even crocodiles. In addition to their powerful jaws, jaguars are also incredibly agile and stealthy, making them formidable hunters. They are able to move quickly and quietly through the dense rainforest and can swim across rivers and other bodies of water to reach their prey. Overall, the combination of their powerful jaws, unique hunting technique, agility, and stealth makes jaguars one of the most fearsome predators in the animal kingdom, especially for humans who venture into their territory.

I recommend Ocean Ramsey's channel. She's a marine biologist who studies shark behaviour. Seims with tiger and great white and reef sharks (and sometimes whale sharks, and sperm whales, and humpback whales), and she's working into trying to change this narrative, in order to help save them. She highlights the harm stray fishing lines (and the shark fin soup industry) does to them.
framing is everything
