Ellie(Dani) didn't realize how dangerous Danny's home was for him until he was more worried about her when she got her own home. - Prompt I think(?)
Ellie wasn't sure how to feel when Danny excitedly animated her to accept Arthur's invitation to live in Atlantis.
"Just if you want of course, but you'll get a stable home, and Frostbite said living underwater might be good for your water cores stability."
She had already been planning to accept the offer. Once she gave the guy an opportunity to have some sort of conversation, the guy was pretty chill, and the castle was pretty cool. So yeah, she was going to accept the offer.
But for some reason Danny's eagerness for her to go with Arthur hurt. It felt like he was trying to get rid of her.
She knew that was ridiculous, she didn't even live with Danny. He looked out for her, and was always a call away but, as much as Danny parents her, he was just a child like her. It made sense he was happy to give away the responsibility of taking care of her.
So when Ellie moved into Atlantis, she was expecting to hear less from Danny. After all, she had settle down, and he didn't need to worry about her adventures anymore. That was Arthur's and Mera's job now.
Weirdly enough, it was the complete opposite.
Now that Ellie was living with adults, Danny seemed MORE worried for her. They went from a call once a week or so, to almost daily calls in the afternoons. He would be more insistent about her telling him if anything was wrong.
He would ask specifics about the food she was eating, and her activities of the day, and her room, and the castles security...
Sam had told her that it was because he used to be able to monitor if she was eating well through the transactions of the debit card they had given her. Tuck had told her that he used to evaluate how safe she was through the phones location, and the hotels receipts.
And well, maybe she underestimated how much attention Danny put on her before, but the way the calls went made it seem like he thought she might be in more danger now that she had a stable home.
Which made no sense, because unlike him, she didn't even need to hide her ghostlines. Anything that was out of normal for Atlanteans was excused with meta-abilities, she didn't need to worry about being classified as a non-sentient species.
That was when it caught up to her. Danny was worried now that she was in a stable home because his stable home had always been dangerous for him. It isn't even a think of it being dangerous now that his a ghost, it has been dangerous ever since he was a child. She remembers all of Jazz's rants about how unreliable their parents have always been.
The food has always been contaminated. The security now attacked him directly, but there had always been a possibility of it malfunctioning and hurting the residents. Him and Jazz had always had the responsibilities of not only keeping the house clean, but the lab as well. If she tops it with the house security system attacking him, and his parents been ghost hunters...
Ellie hadn't found it too dangerous back then, Danny mocked Jazz rants with her, and Jack and Maddie were kind when they interacted with her in her human form. The Fentons neglect seemed liberating in comparison to Vlad overly controlling nature. But thinking about it now, after two months living in Atlantis, she doesn't like the picture.
She doesn't like the idea of Danny being somewhere so unsafe, but where would he go? He doesn't have a water core like her, and even if he had gotten sorta used to shapeshifting, he isn't good enough to live in a second form, which isn't recommendable either way. So he wouldn't be able to move underwater with her.
More so, she doubts that Danny would like to leave his Amity, he had taken the sole responsibilities of dealing with the whole humans - ghost conflicts. With the anti-ecto acts, there's no way he would leave the portal unsupervised.
What should she do now? Should she talk with Arthur about it? He said he was part of the heros friend group, what if they already know about the anti-ecto acts and are okay with it? What if they change hoe they act with her when she tells them she isn't actually an atlatean meta?

Hi Hello, this song got me in a chokehold and I decided it would be a good little bonus chapter for this AU. Per my personal tradition I scoured for a funny set of tags and congrats! It's you!
Tumblr media
I hope you like this bonus chapter set in Bludhaven, because we don't want Danny accidentally in Jason's haunt ;)
=====
Everybody Walkin’ This Land
The chanting was obnoxious, and in another language that Dick didn’t understand.
He was sat, trussed up in a variety of zipties, in a line of chairs alongside the other “sacrifices” in a large warehouse shivering from the chill in the air.
In his ear, Robin and Batman were en route, and Oracle was keeping him up to date with the other Bats’ locations. The chanting almost drowned her out, and it was starting to give Dick a migraine.
The room felt abnormally cavernous, with how many cultists were in there with them. Dick, along with the 6 other hostages, were sat in a line in the deepest part of the warehouse. There was what seemed to be a summoning circle written in what looked like dried up blood and something that glowed an eerie neon green–Dick would freak out about the involvement of Lazarus waters, if the green weren’t so…pure. There was no other way to describe it. It felt highlighter bright and looked too eerily similar to the blood, if it weren’t for the color.
Ten hooded figures stood around various points of the circle, hands raised and looking towards the sky light in the ceiling. Between the circle and the warehouse opening, a crowd of cultists–he would estimate about fifty–were kneeled down in a neat little square with 5 to a row.
And Dick was sat, smack in the middle of the line of hostages, front row seat and not able to do a god damn thing.
He was snatched up not in his civvies, but in his officer’s uniform, and he wasn’t sure how to play this. He would be expected to have some kind of know how regarding kidnapping, considering he was not only an officer but a Wayne, but not for cults. Hell, even with his Nightwing knowledge he was out of his depth, so he was instructed to sit still and look pretty.
A fog started rising from the circle then, the green glow eerie under the fluorescent lighting, almost dimming it. A glowing green liquid, tar-like in substance and completely different from the Lazarus Pits, started pooling in the middle of the circle, licking at the cultists shoes.
The murmurs intensified then, and the other hostages started to get more and more agitated. He was trying to soothe the bright pink-haired girl next to him who was crying, when the circle lit up, and a black clawed hand shot out from the middle of the fog before slamming down on the floor, shaking the whole building with an ominous splat. The tar was so thick it didn't even splash, like non-newtonian fluid.
Some of the cultists in the circle faltered, but the leader–the one with the different colored robe, grinned with a manic light to his eyes. He grabbed onto the cultists on each of his side and his voice boomed as he intensified the chanting.
Another hand shot out, repeating the motion its twin made. The arms pushed and a bowed head of whitewhitewhite slowly dripped out of the floor, a pitch black torso following directly after, the tar sloughing off like mud.
The being then floated up, a long almost snake-like tail pulling smoothly through before curling into a circular pile as it touched back down into the circle. A crown Dick didn’t notice before sparkled in the light, cragged icicles and glittering black ice in a sort of facsimile of an aurora, floated just above the being’s head. Its eyes, as it looked around lazily surveying its surroundings, glowed that same eerie green. The rest of its features were almost drowned out by the glow of it, a sort of staticky effect that made Dick want to rub at his eyes if he stared too long. There was a green metal choker-like accessory, a skull hanging off it delicately, wrapped around the being’s long neck.
The cultists in the circle all kneeled down, heedless of the green tar and whatever effects it may have on them, except for the leader.
“Oh Great One! I have been named Prophet in your revered name. We of the Cult of Bones bow before you and offer our humblest of subjects–” The leader started, but then the being’s eyes caught on Dick’s, and suddenly he knew why it was so familiar. Except–except it couldn’t be. It can’t. But the roaring in his ears spoke of power, and he knew that feeling–he’d drowned in it once before and it was not something he could forget very soon.
“---We wish to cleanse this world my lord–of these imperfect beings and unworthy.” The leader continued, sweeping a hand at the hostages. The being followed his gesture, only for the pupils to flare as it caught sight of them.
The leader blithely continued like that, heedless of the being’s reaction. Dick remembered, suddenly, the other six hostages with him.
To his left: A girl with bright pink hair and a trans pin on the breast of her jacket. A boy in a wheelchair. A black man in librarian’s clothes.
To his right: An asian woman with a black eye from when she kicked at the two cultists that had ziptied her to the chair. A large rotund man in overalls and grease stains all over. An indian woman who was clearly snatched from her workplace at a lab.
And Dick, noted Romani ward of Jewish Billionaire Bruce Wayne.
“Their souls are yours for the taking, my lord, with many more for—”
The being growled, the rumble shaking Dick to his core, cutting off the leader and his spiel.
The being (Danny, because that surge of displeasure and anger was so familiar despite the form being new was definitely Danny) slammed a clawed hand down, gouging lines into the cement. He bent down, almost crawling, to put his face directly in front of the leader’s face. Like this, it was abundantly clear the size difference when Danny was in this form: A 15 foot, almost Naga-like being that could only be described as pitch black and terrifying.
The place where his mouth was riiiiipped open, tore at the seam with far too many sharp teeth into a snarl. The leader stepped back, stumbled as the tar around him was thick and slick at the same time–and Danny exhaled, a plume of frost reminiscent of a dragon’s smokey breath.
“You think I need more souls?” Danny hissed, low and menacing, “Me? The Ghost King?”
“My lord–it isn’t about need, it is about power! My lord, do you not feel you deserve more?” The leader tried to scrabble up, but the tar was weighing him down and down as Danny’s growl reverberated louder.
“More? You think you know anything about my wants or needs? Who are you to think you know anything about what I deserve?” The drag of his tail on the cement was gritty, his words spit out like venom as he drew up to his fullest height. The choker on his neck glowed and the rage was spilling out in harsh little red flares.
“That is not what–My lord, please, we did not wish to offend, we have sacrificed in your name and wish to offer you–”
“Their souls are not yours to offer.” Danny cut in, seething. Dick could feel his bones rattle, and held his breath as the leader of the cult did not understand.
“My lord--but these, these filth–” Danny snarled, frost leaking harshly with the sound and freezing the man where he still sat up to his neck. The other cultists in the circle began to chant something that made the circle glow–they must have had some kind of failsafe if things went wrong, smarter than Dick would have given them credit for.
Danny swung around and stamped down his other hand with the motion to cut them off, ice instantly seizing every single cultist by the feet and up to their necks, and the circle lost its glow.
The only ones spared were the hostages.
“You do not get to decide who is filth and who is not.” Danny lifted his hand to separate it from the now iced over floor, the crackling and breaking of it ringing in a vicious mockery of the tinkling of crystalline chandeliers, a sound that Dick was intimately familiar with that would normally evoke childish joy.
The frost crunched as Danny slithered his way through the cultists, circling them like prey.
“All you prophets, saints, angels” Danny sneered, forked tongue curling around his snarl.
“Racists, fascists, nihilists, bigots,” Danny began knocking out and gathering each of the cultists, the sound of his fist thumping them and ice breaking in neat little cracks echoed through the room punctuating each of his words.
“Mothers, brothers, sisters,” His voice was softer now, though no less raspy, accompanied by another hit, another body falling into the pile.
“Fathers, Believers, Pretenders, bona fide Sinners,” thunk, crack, thunk, crack, thunk, crack, thunk, crack.
Dick watched, almost mesmerized as Danny continued to methodically place cultists into the pile in an almost rhythmic fashion. Done with his task, Danny slithered his way over to the hostages.
Dick looked over at them, realizing too late that Danny’s visage might be terrifying, and was surprised to note that they all seemed calm.
By the time Danny reached them, his form had shifted to that familiar shock of white hair and human-like features. His steps were delicate, his cape almost floating behind him in an invisible wind. His crown and choker were earrings once more, though if Dick recalled correctly it was actually supposed to be a ring.
Then he thought about Danny’s spindly claw-like fingers, and figured a choker was the only way to go in that form.
“No matter your race, your creed, your tribe,” Danny spoke softly to each one of the hostages, lightly touching them to phase them through the zipties.
He came up behind Dick, leaning down to talk directly into the comms, “...whose nation you defend..” before straightening up and continuing down the line.
“Your church, your faith, who’s lying in your den,” Hostages free, Danny floated up and set down gently before the cult leader once more.
“Everybody walking this land, you are all equal in the eyes of Death.”
Everyone in the room seemed to take a breath. Somehow, Danny made it sound like both a threat, and a comfort.
A reminder.
Danny leaned down, picking the cult leader up like an errant kitten.
“Do you understand, prophet?” The leader, frozen and petrified, nodded as best he could. Danny grinned, his teeth unusually sharp in this form, and his eyes glowed.
“And it’s Your Majesty. I am no-one’s lord, much less yours.” Then he knocked the leader out, tossed him onto the cultist-pile and placed a dome of ice around them. He then turned with a softer smile towards the hostages.
“Sorry about that. They’re knocked out, but I have a reputation to keep with the baddies and I don’t want to take any chances.” Danny floated over to the center of the circle, turning this way and that to decipher the circle. Dick exchanged looks with the other hostages, and ultimately stepped up. He was an officer after all.
“No worries, Your Majesty. We understand. Thank you for the save by the way, could I ask what you’re doing?” Dick tried to be a little more formal than usual, not wanting to admit a connection to the King to Gotham civilians.
“Just wondering where they got such a complicated script from, officer.” Danny flapped a hand at him, smirking slightly but thankfully playing along. He squinted then, seeming to follow something that they couldn’t see, before raising a hand towards the frozen dome.
A loud crack sounded out, a book flying into Danny’s waiting hand, before the hole in the dome froze over once more.
Suddenly, the circle and the book burst into white-blue flames. He and the other civilians stepped back, but there was no heat. Danny floated up, all the way to the skylight, the ashes of the book trailing down like blackened cherry blossoms.
“I’ll be taking my leave now, Officer.” Danny smirked, touching a hand to the glass. Dick could see shadows and the static Dick didn’t notice before got softer; voices could be vaguely heard.
“Tell your guests that I hope they like their present.” The building went intangible for a brief second, and Batman, Robin, Spoiler, and Black Bat fell though. At the same time, the comms burst into sound, Oracle and Red Robin frantic.
Luckily, they all had bat training and landed relatively unscathed on the ground through some helpful maneuvering and creative grappling.
By the time everyone got their bearings, the fire was out, and the dome surrounding the cultists was a melted puddle. The cultists seemed to be mostly melted out too, though luckily still unconscious.
And Danny was long gone.
DP x DC prompt #189
You know those prompts where Danny refuses to enter Red Hood's territory because he knows not to enter a ghosts territory? Yeah, this is the opposite.
Batman sends a few of the Batfam to Amity Park to investigate the ghost sightings. When they get there, however, Jason refuses to step into the town due to some instinctual feeling he has.

DC x DP Prompt
“So as the reasons stated, Anti ECTO Acts are not only harmful as a back door into the security of the Meta Protection Acts, it’s bordering on species destruction. I’m appalled this has passed right under our noses.”
Batman’s spirited (eh) speech from earlier kept digging at a nerve in Constantine’s mind.
“You seem pensive, are you alright?” Think of the devil, and he appears with his dorky pointing ears in tow.
“What? Yeah,” Constantine started, “I’m just surprised is all. What with your son being an ecto being, thought this sorta stuff would be on your radar.”
He shrugged as he went to leave, but was stopped by a winged gauntlet, “my son?”
“Yeah,” Constantine said, “the bloke with the red mask. I mean, it’s obvious, what with the fact he needs to kill and consume souls just to stay whole and sane.”
Batman’s mouth turned thin, “explain.”
Constantine snorted before sobering, “oh you’re serious.” He got the patented hng in response.
“You’re son’s a revenant, at least without a proper magical check up to make sure. That’s the typical prognosis when a person comes back from the dead after mur-”
“What,” Batman interrupted, “is a revenant?”
“An ecto being that needs to feed on souls to stay alive, or their demise avenged. Basically, their soul is unbalanced, due to the fact that when they came back, only their rage does. To get all the other emotions, they must,” he makes a slashing motion across his neck, “others to get those emotions from. Or, who ever killed them is offed by the person of their choosing. Well,” he thinks for a second, “it’s not a conscious choice but someone their soul chooses. Once the original perp is dead, the rage will rest, which lets in all the other emotions to stay.”
Batman huffed.
“Honestly surprised that the clown’s still alive. The amount of theatrics your son contains, I bet whoever his soul chose, got quite the show.”

I love supportive parents Fentons. We're they good parents? Not always but they are trying. More so now that they knew how they'd failed Danny. They did a 180 on their research going from Ghost are evil to ghost are just people. Though some ghost wish they still just acted violently rather then stalking them to ask so *so* many questions.
Danny is happy, his parents are trying and while the GIW are still around as a nuisance he doesn't see then as actually a threat. Everyone in Amity had started treating him better both in and out of Phantom form. He is thriving.
Enter Constantine, there on league business. That business is decommissioning the GIW. The acts had been repealed and the group was supposed to cease activity. But they kept those things from Amity park and everyone there. How the league found out about it was just superman overhearing the agents brag about how they still worked in Amity.
Constantine had a fine time with the civilians there until he mentioned working for the league. Suddenly everyone turns on him. They don't harm him but they ice him out, over charge anything he buys, and hurl insults. He was also pretty sure his string of bad luck was caused by them too not just the obvious things.
So the hellblazer has no choice but to ask the local heros. Phantom tell him to leave, that he had it all covered. Red huntress is luckily more forth coming. If by forth coming you meant telling the truth while insulting a person and group so bad it makes him want to retire. Seriously he knew teens could be vicious but this is special levels of vitriol.
Once he finds out the situation, he can feel a migraine coming on. Not only did the league not answer a call for help repeatedly, but the local heros were two teens who think the league was for the anti-ecto acts. Plus neither of them were *good* at hiding their identities. Phantom was a palate swap and used a pun on his own civilian name. Red huntress Aka Valerie was *proud* of being red huntress and saw no real reason to hide it anymore.
The town is shocked when the league member in town starts taking down the GIW. Even more shocked when he told everyone the acts were repealed. They don't warm up to him though. Well things are better priced again at least.
As he finishes up and prepared to leave, he is stopped by the town mad scientist. They're smiling at him but he just knows this was about to be bad. Which is only proven when the lady pulls out a note pad and pen and he is being given the third degree on how magic works.
Constantine tries to leave he really does. But the man Jack has him body blocked via side hug he can't escape from. They wouldn't take his non-answers as answers and he felt his day get *worse* when they ask him to teach them.
The Fentons want magic only so they can figure it out. Magic doesn't exist so what ever power the hellblazer has has to be ecto based! And they need answers! It could help their son master his own powers and they could finally join him in fights on equal footing. A family that fights evil together stays together. Danny would be so proud of them!
Constantine doesn't want to deal with possible future magic rogues so he hits his s.o.s beacon in his pocket as he goes for a cigarette. He'd get shit for it later but he could handle a Bat lecture not what ever this was.

To me, it's funny when Bruce adopts Danny on the spot. It's funnier when his kids do it for him. Bonus if everyone still think Bruce has some sort of adoption problem.
Situations like 'Danny haunts the "rich airhead's" house for free room and board' or 'Danny befriends Batkid, who is rightfully horrified by his living situation and practically drags him to the manor like a feral cat' just tickle me teal.
It's fun. It's shenaniganery.
Danny trying to hide from Batman. The kid[s] trying to hide Danny from Batman out of some sense of 'Can't let Bruce adopt this one' when in reality they are the one[s] who adopted Danny and Bruce's only role is to make it legally official if Danny wants. Bruce in the background like 'I look but I do not see' because he's not gonna turn away a kid in need, especially not when his other children are already attached.
It just feels like it works really well.
Every day i read a post where people write that “Bruce Wayne has an adoption problem” or that Danny is adoption bait on the first second of seeing him, not even knowing if he has a want of vengeance and a sad backstory and parallels to Bruce, and every day I want to softly cry in a corner.

It's been decades since the Accident, but Danny hasn't changed, Tucker and Sam haven't either, they all still look 14 despite being almost mid 40s. Dani has grown, albeit extremely slowly, and Dan has actually aged in reverse, until he matches Danny.
Tucker and Sam have begun to look more inhuman, only noticeable out of the corner of your eye or in the dark. Their eyes glow, Sam's a forest green surrounded by violet, Tucker's circuitry blue invading his natural green.
They attend Gotham University to keep up with scientific advancement, thankful the anti-Ecto acts were repealed in the last decade, after Danny's parents passed on andthen came back as ghosts, due to their exceptionally high ecto contamination and drive to continue on.
Sam goes to find Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn to get more control over her powers, while Danny looks for Mr. Freeze to help him with his wife Nora, and Tucker looks for the Bats to start helping as an additional Oracle, going by the name of Pharaoh.

I truly adore DC x DP prompts and stories that include the following: Danny strongly believing that the Justice League knows fully well about the Anti-Ecto Acts and supporting it since they haven’t done anything about it at all, but the Justice League actually has no clue about them, so they’re really confused about why this kid keeps running away from them and holds so much distrust for them.
I really want to see Danny being the one to explain the acts to them and say that they clearly want to dissect him or worse because they’ve done nothing to stop the acts, and their hearts just drop.
They had no idea it was happening, and seeing this kid convinced that he has fight against them if he doesn’t want to be strapped to a table and torn open felt like a ton of bricks. He doesn’t even believe them when they explain that they had no idea. Not until they actually do something about it.
Or maybe Danny is prince or king of the Ghost Zone and has been in this role for a while and sent a message to the Justice League essentially saying “We’ve had enough. Drop the anti-ecto acts or there will be consequences.” to add some extra tension.
Because now it’s not just heartbreaking, the human race is at stake. There’s heavier tension from the fact that whatever this act is, it’s going to lead to a war if they don’t take care of it quickly. There’s an entire realm full of inhabitants that have been hunted by the government, and they had no idea until the inhabitants got fed up and finally decided to fight back. They reached their breaking point, and the results could be catastrophic.
I like to think that while in the Ghost Zone, the League gets really dirty looks from ghosts. People glare at them, parents pick up their children and leave, and animals growl at them. The worst part is that the prince doesn’t buy it when they say that they had no idea.
They manage to get the acts removed, preventing what could’ve been a war, but they still have some ways to go before they gain the trust of the ghost zone inhabitants.

Phantom letters - DPXDC PROMPT
The bats wake up one day to the internet going crazy; people around the world were getting letters from they're diseased loved ones. The reactions are mixed, from people being outraged for the "prank" to people crying in melancholy at getting closure.
All the letters have something in common: They're closed with a green sealing wax that had an stylize DP and the name Phantom beneath it. Posts about the cards were using the # Phantom Letters.
The bats are discussing the viral posts in the cave when Alfred comes holding a basket filled with letters, announcing they were left at the doors. The letters had the sealing wax that they recognize from the posts. Checking the cameras they can see how they glitch before the basket appears.
Alfred starts to distribute the letters that had only one destinatary. Letters from each Thomas and Martha to both Bruce and Alfred. Letters from each John and Mary to Dick. A letter from Catherine to Jason. A letter from the Drake's to Tim, and another one to Bruce.
Once they had calmed down enough from the shock, Alfred proceeded to read the shared recipients. From Thomas and Martha to "The grandchildren we never got to meet." From John and Mary to "the family that took our little Robin in." Letters from Catherine to "My little boys family." The letters were directed to people the deceased didn't get to meet.
As much as the mere existence of the letters tugged at their hearts, they decided to not read them until they verified that the handwriting actually belong to the ones it claimed. They checked each letter, and in the end confirmed the letters were in fact from they're lost love ones.
After much discussion, each person makes the decision to read they're own letters later in private, and they proceed to read the ones that shared recipients out loud. The letter mentioned specifics like names and events that the deceased shouldn't have been able to know, including they're vigilante abilities, which had them pause each time to panic a bit. But what was more interested were certain pieces of the letters that mentioned a Prince Phantom.
"Prince Phantom said to don't mention things past our death, but it wasn't a command, so we're hoping this won't be much of a problem." - John and Mary
"I still can't believe Prince Phantom is letting us do this, but I'm so glad." - Catherine
It finally paints the mystery in a more concerning light when at the end of Thomas and Martha's letter there is a call for help.
"We're sorry for ending the letter on a serious tone, but seeing the kind of job you all get involved in, we wanted to ask: Could you please help Prince Phantom? Phantom had asked us to not give information about this, but he's so young, and has already been hurt so much. Please, check on Amity Park, Illinois."
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Meanwhile, team Phantom has decided that they needed to get the news about the GIW out of Amity and ask for help. Two problems:
the GIW blocks any technological attempt made.
People might be afraid to learn that ghosts exist and side with the GIW.
As a way to deal with the public image, Phantom opens a possibility that the death have never had:
"All afterlives are open to write letters to their love ones that are still alive today. Nothing that includes threats, and don't go talking about the anti-ecto acts or Amity Park yet, we're trying to ease people into our existence first. Also, I know you all check on your love ones when the veil is thin, but please keep the things you shouldn't know out of the letters if possible. If you want your letter to be sent in the first batch, make sure to deliver your letter before the week ends."
Letters are a good way to reconnect people with the death, they aren't digital, and the GIW won't be able to intercept letters if they're send through inter-dimensional portals. Two birds in one shot.

DC X DP PROMPT #9
Danny is a meta. Danny does not know he is a meta. Danny's power only activates in death so how should he have known? It's not like he's died before the portal accident. Right?
Danny has been dying from his parent's neglect repeatedly. The first time he had died was when he wandered outside into the snow while Jazz was at school. He had frozen and never noticed as Jazz had claimed that she came home just in time.
Danny still dies to the portal opening up on him, he still becomes a halfta, but his human half is just as instructable as his ghost half. He just doesn't know it.
When Danny turns 15 the Justice League step in with the GiW and shut down the anti-ecto acts before they can even pass. It's great. The JL talks to him and even offer him a spot in their teen group!
Danny found out he was a meta from Robin (either Tim or Damian,, can't decide),, not even BATMAN , and it was during a CASUAL HANGOUT
R: "What's it like being a meta?"
D: "wdym"
Everyone thinks Danny's meta powers are ghost-themed. They are not. He only got them AFTER the portal accident!! Danny fights tooth and nail to convince them he is just dead lmao. No one brings up that he is both at the same time.

Jury Duty
Danny has been living his best life in Gotham, hiding from the GIW but mostly moving forward with his life. (College, job, whatever)
Until his name is drawn for jury duty.
He complains to his friends. They bring up a few interesting points. Shouldnt being dead disqualify him? Eventually the anti ecto acts are brought up. Can the government enforce jury duty on a citizen that was declared legally non-sentient?
Now, it might not have been danny's smartest idea, but he replies to the summons with a "cant, i died," attaching a copy of the anti ecto acts and a short argument that its hypocritical of the government to strip him of his rights but still expect him to fulfill his civic responsibilities.
Whatever government desk job gets danny's reply to the summons thinks its a joke at first (theyre no stranger to the colorful and creative excuses people come up with to try to get out of jury duty), but danny provided all the right paperwork and instructions for them to jump through all the hoops necessary to locate the obscure law. They send it higher up the chain of command.
But this is Gotham. After several days of ruminating over the strange law, they decide to leave a tip on the bats' hotline (set up and maintained by Oracle). The whole situation felt a bit left of reality, and they weren't paid enough to deal with that shit. And if the government really was the problem here (look, they might have landed a secure government-funded desk job, but they were a grunt and held no loyalty to the government that continuously screwed over their home city), then merely passing the buck meant it would get covered up instead of exposed.
Oracle gets the message and starts digging, determining that this is A Big Problem, Actually. First order of business is to track down this Danny guy and give him a bat-level security detail. Second order is to push this to the Justice league.
The thing is, the giw had successfully hidden themselves from the justice league up until now. They covered their tracks, took care of loose ends. The laws were written to look like pest control.
They never considered that someone would respond to a jury duty sommons with "cant, im dead." First of all, they dont know about halfas, who could be dead without ever being legally declared. Secondly, why would a ghost pretend to be alive? Thirdly, why would they blow their cover? ("Sir, its *jury duty.*" "point withdrawn.")
It was pure chance that the desk job took it seriously enough to report it, and oracle only recognized the threat as it was because she made the logical leap from ectoplasm to lazarus water.
The bats investigate by intercepting danny's summons. Fortunately, the higher up decided it was a joke and didnt share it any further. Unfortunately, they told danny that he better show up for jury duty, come hell or high water.
That route blocked, they hack in a jury summons for jason todd. Being Actually Legally Dead, with all the paperwork correctly filed, means that he would never actually get a summons, but they need someone on this inside that clearly falls into the same category as danny to keep a close eye on him.
Anyways, this was a long and twisted set up to get not one, but two individuals in the same jury duty line up claiming they "cant, i died."

Phantom Fudge
I love the fics of Danny settling into Gotham and having some sort of business and just absolutely confusing the Batfam with how flippant he is about the crime.
My take is, instead of a coffee shop or bookstore or occult shop, Danny opens a fudge shop!
His parents taught him, and he found he actually really loved it, and besides, his dream of being an astronaut was out of reach due to his unique medical readings. In this au, his parents learned about him being Phantom and took it well after a good period of spiraling because-Holy shit they shot their son. You may be asking, Goggles, didn't you just make a post that was all about Jack and Maddie not taking the news well? Yes. Yes, I did.
I go back and forth with wanting to salt them and not. I like both.
So anyways, Danny is the heir to the Ghost Throne, but he won't actually take up the official title until his time on Earth is naturally over. After everything got better with his parents and his regular ghost fighting buddies, he actually was able to raise his grades and graduate. Many teachers were amazed at the progress but really, Danny may not have been as smart as his parents and sister (he is an unreliable narrator and is actually very smart just not as conventional as his family) but before his accident he had done pretty good in school. The GIW was still a thing, but without the Fenton technology, they weren't doing as well as they previously did. His parents broke their contract after they rescued him from the GIW labs, it was a little after he told his parents about his halfa status and they came storming in to save him and all the other ghosts that were captured. After that, life got so much better. His parents listened to him, and he got to teach them all about his people. They started publishing more papers with actually accurate information and were doing their best to overturn the anti-ecto acts. They haven't accomplished it, but Danny was sure they would.
That's actually why he moved to Gotham. Tucker had the idea of contacting the Justice League to help with the anti-ecto laws, but their calls weren't being answered. Neither were the...strongly worded emails Sam sent in. So Danny did what he did best and jumped into something not entirely thought out but hoping for the best. He moved to Gotham so he could get close to Batman and ask for help. He got accepted into Gotham University on a scholarship. But he wanted to make some money on his own without his parents sending him some kind of allowance, and he didn't want to work at Bat Burger. He started selling fudge around winter at his school, and he got permission to do so.
From there, he got enough money to actually open a small fudge cart. Then he got enough for a small shop near his apartment which was rather close to Crim Alley so he hired some working girls to help with the shop and he employed any Alley Kids looking for some cash as delivery workers. (They only delivered in Crime Alley, though, but that was fine with Danny.) Danny loved his little fudge shop that he lovingly named Phantom Fudge, and the sign had a cute little ghost eating some fudge on it. When he was in school for classes, he left the shop in his friend Ginger's hands. She had been a working girl before, but before that, she had had experience working a small mom & pop kind of shop, so Danny felt good leaving her in charge. When Ellie visited, she helped out with the shop too.
Danny was thriving. Then he started getting customers of the ecto variety because, of course, he would. Apparently, he was something of an ecto filter for the shades and ghost of Gotham, so they would visit his shop to soak up some of the pure ectoplasm in the air. Then he experimented and made some ecto-fudge, which is what he gave to any ecto beings that entered his shop. Most couldn't pay, but they would give him a heads up if they saw anything shady happening around his shop.
Like a little heads up that some robberies were happening in the area, or some rogue was getting close. It was a nice little system they had. Though some ghosts came in just to tell him their unfinished business and like...he wasn’t King yet, but these were his people, so he tried to help them out as best they could.
One particular couple showed up a lot and would ask him to help warn their son of any danger they heard was brewing. They would ask him to leave messages for the son or any of his kids but also the butler if needed. Danby thought this guy had some great parents. They didn't cross over because they needed to make sure their son was safe and taken care of. It was most likely that they wouldn't cross until their son did by the sounds of it. He got permission to call them Grandma and Grandpa, which was weird, but he didn't question it.
Martha and Thomas were nice spirits, so he had no problem helping them out. But Danny is Danny and his well-intentioned help of course caught the eye of the whole batfam.
They had been receiving letters in the Manor that appeared mysteriously. The first one they had all thought was a prank from the many people there. It was a simple, 'Don’t go to the gala. Something bad will happen.' That started it all. They were all baffled but laughed it off, and those who went to the gala didn't know how to feel when the seeming wait staff took over the event and held the guests hostage.
A coincidence surely.
Then they got another note, 'Freeze is planning to do a B&E and snatch some equipment from a Wayne lab. Idk which one since you have so many.' And just like last time, the note was speaking the truth. It continued from there, and everyone tried to capture whoever or whatever was leaving the notes, but any cameras they had glitched out before returning to normal and showing a new note had showed uo somewhere in the Manor. Bruce was going crazy trying to figure out who or what their messenger was.
Alfred once found a note that said, 'Tim has been awake and pushing himself too far. He is going to crash.' He took it to heart though and made Tim rest and take a break. He would not let the note happen. Tim had had far too many crashes the past couple of months.
The note that broke Bruce, though, was small in words, but it made him feel crazy. It was his parent's death anniversary, and when he went to visit the exact spot, he saw a sticky note on the floor. He shakily picked it up to see all it said was, 'It's okay.'
Now he is really worked up and determined to find the note messenger.
While that's going on, Danny also gets some local vigilantes visiting his shop, and he is so excited to see them and try and be their friend so he can ask for help. Plus they seem to be fans of his fudge and that just makes him happy.
The batkids thing the Phantom Fudge shop owner is suspicious, but hot damn did he make some bomb ass fudge.

A DC X DP IDEA # 35
Who will he be tonight? that’s the question.
Imagine dis…
It's been a while since I last posted here and even though I am late on the trend the song would not leave my head ( due to my gremlin of siblings) and you are now here to suffer with me.
MWAHAHAHAHA
Bruce was stressed, not because of his nightly duties nor his exhausting job as the CEO of Wayne enterprise. He got his license to foster children by the skin of his teeth through legal channels, he was so close as to use his privileges as the richest man in Gotham to get his license also to be able to foster Richard “Dick” Grayson.
Apparently despite his playboy persona aka “Brucie Wayne” just entering its social debut almost made him almost impossible to foster Dick as the social worker that had been assigned to him is also one of the few social workers in Gotham that takes their job seriously.
Bruce knew that his budding playboy persona, the carefree “BRUCIE Wayne” should be buried, he could replace this mask of his with his philanthropist self but he couldn’t just immediately change it would and will raise whispers on why, but what could be the reason?
Just as he continued scheming a knock broke his train of thoughts and entered Danny Nightgale, the calm and efficient secretary who had worked before with Lucius Fox ever since he had been hired. Danny, from Bruce’s file on him, son of two leading ecto-biologists in the world, a quiet kid who grew up in a city from nowhere, had a bad accident that left him with a slow heartbeat, discovered that one of the last two purple back gorilla is female and thus avoiding total extinction. Doesn’t have much media presence due to their hometown being the home of the former ghost hero Phantom who had vanished the moment that the anti-ecto acts had been re-appealed…
Bruce approached Danny with a pitch and handed him a nicely drafted contract. The agreement was straightforward: pretend to be Bruce's adoring partner in public. It was the only way to change the public's opinion, to show the world a stable, dependable, responsible Bruce Wayne who was ready to be a foster and maybe a father.
As years went by this arrangement had been beneficial to both parties.
Danny now saves more money, and despite having one of the highest salaries being paid all went to his rent to the nicer parts of Gotham. It had so many insurances as well security measures to ensure the tenants are safe, but the downside having most of his paycheck going to the rent itself. Now he has a permanent house that is large and free food that is made by the greatest cook that ever existed.
Bruce is less embarrassed about putting on a show for the public, he seems to take on the air-head mask whenever his supposed “lover” is around and near him, turning him into a bumbling mess whenever the “love of his life” is around him. He also secretly took great pleasure whenever those annoying journalists asked nonsense questions which he answered in his most obnoxious voice spiel away how world peace is attainable if all just gave their own Danny’s.
Each generation of Batkids saw how Bruce had a crush on Danny yet kept fumbling himself and reminding himself that all of this was just part of the contract. Sure each kid knew of said contract that was made for Dick’s sake but said the reason for said contract wanted to rip that thing ages ago and into pieces the moment he wanted to call Danny Dad.
Though each child that resides in that manor noticed some inconsistency within Danny’s schedules, not only that they have just recently discovered that while Danny loves to chat there are still personal things that he hadn't delved into aside from the information that was already in his files. Of course, there is also his weird avoidance of the vigilante group of Gotham, especially Batman, despite being proven to the public both in and out of Gotham that Batman is trustworthy, Danny still held wariness to said vigilante.
You’d think that after years of exposure around the Wayne’s Danny would have already discovered the cave all on his own. But it seems that every time are inches away discovering their secret an emergency or urgent priority was flaring from the Wayne enterprise that only he was needed to solve the said problem.
After weeks of Tim’s continuous intake of a very worrying amount of pure caffeine, espresso shots, and 10 different brands of energy drinks they have finally connected the dots.
Danny is a secret FBI agent planted in Gotham to catch Batman and his group in the act of breaking the law and to disband the whole spiel about being a hero and vigilante. Sure the JL and the sudden rise of heroes and vigilantes that popped up around the world that are not government affiliated made those who sat at those red velvet chairs nervous as they don’t have any active say or word as to what crimes to focus on and so on. There are reasons why Amanda Waller is still in power and still allowed to roam free with funds after funds to continue her work despite being continuously caught by the JL.
Now it is up to them to change Danny’s mind and abandon his mission so that they can finally stop seeing Bruce act like that “Brucie” persona, that they thanked the gods had been immediately vetoed, towards Danny.
Alfred sits down in one of the manor’s libraries with a cup of tea in one hand a book in another with another small pile on the side with a teapot ready to refill himself another cup.
He sighs at the drama that seems to unfold to his eyes only.
Ever since Master Danny had been integrated into this household he had found more free time than he could ever imagine. The young man would always find ways to outpace Alfred when it comes to housework to the point it had become their little game to this day. As much as he supports his ward/son, Master Bruce needs to gather all emotional intelligence he has left and confess to Master Danny.
But that wasn’t the live soap opera that it seemed to unravel.
His grandkids are set and believe that Master Danny is a secret agent who is here due to a mission related to the vigilante group stationed in Gotham.
Alfred adores all of them, he did but sometimes he wonders if the title World’s Greatest Detective is to be added to his arsenal of titles.
Alfred knew that Master Danny wasn’t just an ordinary secretary but he was also the Ghost King of the Infinite Realms, how did he know of this?
He simply walked in on Danny changing from his human self to that otherworldly creature that looked too regal to be a normal being, and so clues that were the littlest of things that he had always chalked up to the angle of the light seemed to begin clicking in place.
Alfred was a bit miffed when he learned that Master Danny might have been cheating when it came to their little bouts of cleaning the manor but he now stayed quiet as Master Danny still didn’t know of the quote “furry brigade” unquote are the Wayne’s, and based on Master Danny’s past rants he will have his little laugh when the truth comes out, but until then he will drink his tea in peace as the drama in Wayne manor seems to unfold.
PS: If someone out there wants to continue or make a fic about this you are free to do so, don’t forget to tag me though.

DP x DC Prompt
There are no more heroes.
Well, okay. Rewind a bit.
Danny has been doing the hero thing for a while now. He’s had a big reveal; everyone has accepted him (including his parents), the GIW disbanded, the Anti-Ecto acts repealed, and generally, everything is going great. Some of the A-Listers are even training as junior ghost hunters to help give him a break from his rogues! (Being Ghost King makes things hectic sometimes, and he just needs the extra help. Sue him!)
The point is, literally nothing is wrong with Danny Phantom’s afterlife.
And then Valerie Gray, the Red Huntress, disappears in front of his eyes.
Danny is baffled! She’s just…gone! Valerie just popped out of existence, like she was never there. But no matter how hard he searches in the Ghost Zone, he can’t find her soul anywhere. His core isn't broken in grief. So she’s not dead. Which is good. So then, where is she?
Some of the others come forward with ideas on how to find her. A few ghosts volunteer to go out into the mortal realm, an area Danny had declared off-limits, to see if she was out there. Danny approves it. He rounds up some of the friendlier (i.e., discreet) ghosts and Amity Parkers and demolishes the outside travel ban.
So everyone spreads out, looking for their dear frenemy and teammate. But it becomes apparent very quickly that something is wrong with the rest of the world.
There are no more heroes.
Every single living superhero on the face of the Earth has just…vanished. Villains are running amok; the countries are in chaos! Some aliens are invading Earth, mythical deities are trying to take over, and society is crumbling to the ground. Everything is on the brink of collapse.
Well, Danny was still there. And so were his people. They were pretty spread out, so could they just…take up the mantles? He also knew where to find the souls of dead heroes in the Zone; surely they wouldn't mind coming out of retirement for a little bit, especially if they couldn't die again. Oh! And that skeleton army leftover from Pariah Dark's reign might be useful in repelling those invading forces.
Honestly, there were more than enough hands to go around! And with the heroes gone, Danny didn't mind letting everyone out for a little break, as long as they followed his rules. They wouldn't stop the search for the other heroes, but hopefully, when they found them, the heroes wouldn't mind Danny's intervention too much. :)
In other words:
Someone fucks up, and all of Earth's living heroes are either wished out of existence or are whisked away to some far-off realm where Danny hasn't checked yet. In the attempt to figure out what's going on, Danny lets the dead run amok over the Earth as they search for clues. The skeleton army repels the invading armies, the souls of dead heroes deal with the world leaders, and his rogues and other Amity Parkers set up shop in place of famous heroes, trying to get the cities under control again.
Basically, they just do their best to keep everything from imploding until the Justice League and others are back.
(And why is it that Danny hasn't disappeared? Well, whatever caused everyone to go poof! only affected living heroes. Anyone heroes that were dead in the first place, or even just half-dead, stayed behind.)
#pondhead blurbs#danny phantom#dpxdc#reveal gone right au#ghost king au#for plot reasons#it doesn't count if the hero had died and then came back to life#lots of heroes would still be around then#but this is me pushing the halfa!jason todd narrative work with me here he deserves the fun#deadman is there too#and he's just thriving honestly. it's so nice to be around his own kind even if the world is ending#maybe ellie is whooshed away too cause she never technically died but she took up danny's moniker when he was crowned#vlad is ecstatic cause danny put him in charge of several states while they looked for clues including Wisconsin#skulker is replacing superman and just has a shitty S painted on his chest and just eats kryptonite like candy the first time he meets Lex#Kitty and Johnny take over in gotham and sam is now the new wonder woman#idk man just stupid stuff like this#the press is flabbergasted cause the fucking KING OF GHOSTS just showed up and he's 14 and just looking for some friends#Danny: hey guys sorry about the zombies and fire i'm just here to find my coworker and lil sister and maybe the other heroes#Danny: in the meantime i'll just let my army into the mortal realm to defend it while we figure out what's going on pls don't yell at us :)#the press: how do we explain this to the justice league when they come back. how do we explain that earth was saved by a 14 year old boy-#also idk which heroes are technically dead but are still kicking so if you feel like someone deserves liminal status slap it on them idc#some villains are trying for world dominance and some are just trying to find their buddies. their fight buds. where'd they go? :(#joker gets bitch slapped by a skeleton two days in and waylon becomes bffs with wulf#danny uses the watchtower as a base of operations and it's the only thing he doesn't want to give up when the heroes are back#i have no plot ideas beyond this#i just want everyone to be baffled that an army of the dead showed up while they were gone and just made sure everything stayed cool#later danny realizes he was technically the ruler of the world for a bit since his people were everywhere keeping the villains in check

Every year, Sam, Danny, and Tucker go on a vacation courtesy of Sam's very reluctant parents. This year, it was Tuckers turn to choose the location and activities, and he chose Gotham.
Not only did it have Wayne Tech, one of the most technologically advanced companies, but Gotham was also hosting a massive furry convention this year and the three of them were cosplaying as Succubats from the Dragon Quest series. They had gone all out, full purple body and face paint, contacts that made the whites of their eyes black, hand died leggings, leotards, and fuzzy leg warmers as well as everything else. Let's just say there was a lot of sowing involved.
Danny even made a mad scientist invention that toyed with gravity so that they could fly while flapping their wings. His parents were so proud and made them stop for pictures before they left.
The convention was fun and they got saved by Robin once and ended up teasing him a bit. Sam was cackling the next day when she found out Robin had gone through the rest of his patrol not knowing that Danny's purple galaxy lipstick was still on his cheek the entire time.
The only part they didn't like was this weird trenchcoat guy kept following them around in the shadows, but Batman was with him, so it was probably okay. The Justice League had found out about the anti ecto acts and publicly tore the government a new one. Danny had barely managed to hide his parents' involvement and work with Tuckers and Vlads' help. While he and Vlad were still bitter enemies, Vlad didn't want to see Maddie in jail, and Danny could work with that.
On the flip side of things, the Justice League still had no idea about the portals in Amity Park or that anything was going on there. So when John Constantine found out about a insanely powerful entity that radiated death energy like the sun radiated light heading straight to Gotham, he panicked and immediately went to Batman to tell him the bad news.
John had no idea what this creature was and was determined to find out, but between the make up and body paint and everything else, it was impossible to discover the identity of the three teens. It didn't help that Danny could just turn them invisible/fly them everywhere so John and Bruce are suffering

DP x DC AU: Tim had heard the phrase 'The wrong twin made it home' a number of times in his life, his parents were always very upfront about how the felt towards him. But... 'made it home' doesn't indicate death, does it? ...Tim ends up taking Danny's place by Sam's side in front of Congress to lobby the end of the Anti-Ecto Acts.
...
Tim has been up for hours passed when he told Alfred he would be resting and he's wrapped up his case files into neat little bows to deliver to Babs and the GCPD/Lawyers to do their jobs. Damian had made a comment earlier in their patrol that night about Tim being the wrong sibling to make it to his rescue and... and it got him thinking about that phrase. His parents were negligent with him, certainly, but they were always very clear about how he stood in their eyes. Praise and criticism were the two options, and very strictly limited passes of 'I love yous' that faded as he got older.
He's run his DNA before in the national databases- it was critical for maintaining his Alias' that multiple people didn't flag- but he's never searched in records before. About his twin. About the one who didn't make it home.
And its definitely the lack of sleep, and definitely the lack of brotherly affection he feels these days, but Tim just can't close the door until he's seen a death certificate. He's hacked Gotham General Hospital a million times for work, but doing it for his own gain feels wrong some how and he works with extreme caution. He finds his own birth certificate and... One Theodore Daniel Drake.
Tim snorts with a short ha, pretentious name alert and goes on to find not a single certificate of death or medical record of atypia. Oh no, what he finds is adoption paperwork meant to be closed to all wondering eyes and one Daniel James Fenton leaving the hospital instead. Tim blinks a few times, retraces his steps and then sure enough, learns for a second time that his TWIN was still alive.
Finding the Fentons was easy enough, their Lab address on all of their patents was seemingly also their home address. Danny had a much better hidden internet presence, it was good cybersecurity he'd have to praise him, but Tim had been trained better. Getting into his brother's files... Raised a number of new questions. Why was he compiling evidence against the government? What the fuck was he doing analyzing policy? Why did he have 'rogue' files???
Then Tim hacks into Danny's phone (he's learned at this point that Daniel was a no-go) and sees the conversations between his twin and his twin's best friends.
Sam Manson has an appointment with a Senator to Lobby for the end of the Anti-Ecto Acts. She wants Danny to join her, demonstrate something Tim can't determine, but he's refusing to leave and let his adoptive parents have even a moment to develop a new weapon without him there to destroy it. Someone called CW warned him about changes coming his way or something cryptic. Tim learns a lot from their back and forth, but stops reading once it gets to their personal squabbles.
Tim gets the meeting details and forwards it to Tam- If Danny can't make it... Tim will. And if Tim can't demonstrate whatever Danny was going to, it would at least help to throw around his name.
Tim writes an email to Danny- It's meant to go out after the lobbying appointment- and it explains that Tim found out about him and wants to connect if Danny does, and if Danny doesn't he at least wants to get him set up with his half of the Drake family inheritance. He includes a few personal facts, including that he too ended up adopted in life and had siblings, that he helped run a company and took on the world too soon. It takes a lot out of Tim to be so candid- but he doesn't want Danny to be too blindsided by the Waynes. He attaches a family photo with the label "you'll be able to tell which one is me'.
...
Sam is tapping her stupid, uncomfortable heels waiting for these dumbass, elderly politicians to get their shit together so she can speak. Sam was resourceful and surprisingly, the second she took on politics as a way to waste the family money, her mother Pamela was all for it. She's wanting Sam to run for president now... At least she doesn't complain when Sam organizes protests.
The door behind her opens, and while she knows its not going to be Danny behind her, a girl can feel a bit crushed. She really thought he would be behind her today, but Danny was being weird about this whole thing. Clockwork had him spooked about something changing today, and Danny wanted to be in Amity Park in case it was another Pariah situation or something. His parents had been on edge lately too...
"Sorry, I'm not late am I?" A voice asks and it's just so close but not- Sam turns her head to see Danny in a nice suit with long hair and eyebags way darker than she'd seen on him in a while. This... Wasn't Danny. She blinks, and then something in her anxiously decides that the universe is fucking with her and she will be fighting back.
"Everyone is late." She glares at him, appraising his every move. The woman behind him is typing dedicatedly on her tablet and the man himself looks like he might fall over while he shuffles his files in hand.
"Well, then I'm on time. My name is Tim Drake, I'm here to help your cause in getting the Anti-Ecto acts repealed and the parties responsible for it apprehended."
"Tim Drake? As in-"
"As in Co-CEO of Wayne Enterprises. And I've done a lot of research, so I hope you'll let me play a supportive role while you speak."
"There's no way you've been able to research if you've been out of Amity, The whole city is under a media blackout." Sam's glare looks like it could cut him.
"Not to brag, but that sort of thing doesn't slow me down these days. I've made physical copies of the things they're most likely to delete and I've sent everything to the Justice League, who in turn are sending it to the Lantern Corps." He states matter-of-factly and Sam finally stops being angry at the world to just be... stumped. What the hell was going on?
"How did you... Why?"
"Tam, tell Ms. Manson how passionate I am about human rights?" The guy sounds anxious, the woman rolls her eyes and says "Very." without stopping her typing.
The doors open and Sam has only a moment to decide that Tim can join her... He proves himself to be an asset, and his name alone gets them further than she had anticipated getting today.
....
Danny is watching Sam walk into the space via C-span, gasping when his own likeness follows behind her. What the fuck???
He can barely drag his eyes away as the clone (?) introduces himself as Tim Drake and proceeds to rip them into shreds for delaying Sam Manson of all people. Danny is transfixed and Tucker is blowing up his phone.
"DUDE ARE YOU SEEING THIS?" Tucker's voice loudly calls out the second danny blindly answers.
"Dude, I just, I don't even know? He cant be a clone right? But he's gotta be?" Danny hypothesizes.
"Nah dude, there's like, a whole lifetime of media presence for Tim Drake since he was like, tiny. This is so weird he looks just like you..."
"This is so weird." Danny dumbly agrees because he can't think of anything else to say.
Sam finishes her points, Tim submits the evidence to the court and they leave. Danny's phone pings with an email notification.
"Danny my guy, you should check that, Sam isn't responding yet. Her phone is probably still off."
He follows Tucker's advise and opening his email... Is a new message from Tim Drake.
"...I don't know what the fuck is going on?" Danny continues to say, and Tucker asks him just to read it out loud, "It's just... Apparently I am both adopted and a twin?"
"...My guy." Tucker sounds just as much at a loss.
...
Sam calls them both after Tim Drake is rushed away by his PA Tam (who she found herself admiring more and more), and is relieved when they dont immediately answer by screaming.
"So Danny, Tucker, you guys are traveling with me next weekend." Sam deadpans.
"Apparently shit gets twilight-zone level weird anytime you leave Amity!" Tucker exclaims.
"...What's next weekend?" Danny asks, hesitation in his voice.
"Your twin invited us, well, mostly you, to a Wayne Family Brunch. We're going cause those assholes have money and political influence, you're going because we all probably need to know what the fuck is going on with that guy."

I just wanna throw in my two cents on the idea that Danny is constantly running from the Justice League (and maybe Young Justice). Basically a list of reasons why he doesn’t trust them.
Reason number 1. Why allow an organization full of super-powered people that work with the same government that allows the Ghost Investigation Ward to take ghosts and perform sick experiments that might as well kill the ghosts inside and become the one thing practically every ghost fears to get anywhere near him? Let alone answer their questions?
Reason number 2. Even if they’re telling the truth about not knowing about the GIW, beginning attempts to overthrow the anti-ecto acts, and don’t turn him in, what if they they think he’s a bad guy because of the sheer number of social media posts that paint him in a bad light? What if he still ends up in a cell?
Reason number 3. Okay, so these two concerns are put to rest, but what about Batman? Why does he reek of tainted ectoplasm? Has he killed ghosts? It has to be a big number to be almost always smelling like it. Danny spent years cleaning up his parents’ lab, he can recognize the scent of murdered ghost from miles away.
Reason number 4. They just won’t leave him alone! No matter how many times he runs away from them! Like why do they keep coming back trying to interrogate him?! Can’t they just leave him alone?!
Reason number 5. Just regular and understandable hesitation to trust. I mean, new place, lots of new people, and a good bunch of them are suspicious of him? Danny thinks he’d be crazy not to be skeptical!
