Why must they torture Sasuke like this maaan???
Just kill him off so your popularity can plummet and just cut the series entirely this is getting annoying.
WTF it isn't even about anything remotely related to being a shinobi or what the OG series even stood for.
It's fanfiction that was written by a 7th grader brought to life for no good reason.

I HAVE BEEN THINKING
Soo a month or two ago I watched the opening and endings of Boruto for the first time, and while I think they are nice and don't hate the characters or anything like that i couldn't stop thinking of how good it could be if the Naruto ending was just a little bit different and more satisfying for all the characters and overall plot.
I would love Boruto an Himawari and that other child they have if the NaruHina ship had ANYTHING in the canon, I would accept Sarada existing if she was Sakura child exclusively or they managed to make SasuSaku non toxic. I would love Orochimaru's child if the show actually made Orochimaru pay for anything that he has done instead of making him a comedic character.
I would adore the Boruto series if it showed how Naruto changed the Shinobi world like he promised to. If the hyugas changed to never allow something like the side family seal to be used again(and if Neji was still alive instead of following the hyugas destiny/curse) . If Konoha made anything to compensate Sasuke for the Uchihas massacre. If the Konoha people ever apologized for the treatment they gave to Naruto and so many more small things like that. But I know for a fact that none of that happens, so even though the colors and songs of the boruto series are nice I can't enjoy them because I know the story never progressed. And I wanted to enjoy them.
I can't fix the series nor I have the intention to do that, I just wish it was different because I like what Kisimoto was doing until the last bit of the war arc.
Idk I just needed to ramble a bit about this, because I do plan to make a next gen au with my headcanons of the story, picking and choosing from canon and filler. But I'm making it with the bitter taste of knowing that the next gen already exists and could have been perfect if it had just little adjustments.

Don’t get me wrong, OP did a great job analyzing this.
But here’s my 2 cents on it:
Sasuke’s flat out lying. He’s not more optimistic, it’s just like being forced to play pretend because he lost and his whole characterization was butchered for the sake of all this shit.
Naruto literally beat him up to pacified and control him so that Sasuke wouldn’t want to be involved with getting justice or a revolution or want to be a hokage.
All the things Shippuden and even gennin Sasuke had, was strong, it had purpose and reason and I along with true Sasuke fans, were rooting for him. But Kishimoto and SP butchered him. They destroyed all that made him who he was and replaced some ooc OC to fit the needs for next gen.
Tumblr media
I don’t like this scene at all. There were so many things wrong with his character and words that I genuinely cannot call this character Sasuke Uchiha.
There was a time Sasuke wanted to kill his older brother for massacreing his clan. Few years later he learns that his Brother Itachi, was a puppet for Konoha. They orchestrated a plan to wipe the Uchiha out because they planned a coup due to being discriminated against and oppressed.
Due to all of those events and the information being told to Sasuke, he wanted revolution. He wanted to reform Konoha and the world to be better and less racist.
That is why he told everyone in the war that he wanted to be Hokage. He wanted to actually reform the village. He wanted the village to stop being fascist.
His vision was not warped. Not in the slightest. But the reason he thought it was warped is because of Naruto and everyone else.
Tumblr media
Everyone from Konoha and Naruto were so warped by the Will of Fire that they couldn’t even let a genocide victim have his own thoughts and opinions that didn’t align with the Will of Fire.
Sasuke’s revolution was so realistic. He was a genocide victim due to a fascist village, and then the kids who were warped by the fascist villages ideology then proceeded to chase and or try and kill him because he didn’t agree with it and wanted to change it.
Naruto and Sakura were never his friends. No matter how much they cared about him. Even their stans don’t understand Sasuke. Sakura and Naruto were constantly trying to change Sasuke’s outlook on the village. They never even tried to understand him. Sasuke’s clan, his people, his heritage and culture, were literally killed off and Naruto and Sakura only wanted him back in the village because they were fucking lonely.
Naruto can relate to Sasuke’s loneliness. He can’t relate to his clan being killed of by his own brother. Sakura can’t relate to Sasuke at all either. And because neither of them can relate nor understand him being a genoicide victim, they tried and succeeded in changing him so they do.
The illusion of the Will of Fire dates back to the war between the Senju and Uchiha. Tobirama was warped by it to the point that he segregated and discriminated against the Uchiha. Hashirama was warped by it to the point he didn’t even try and stop Tobirama. Hiruzen was warped by it to the point that he literally let Danzo organize a plan that murdered almost every Uchiha.
Even some of the fucking Uchiha, were warped by it. Shisui, Kagami, Itachi. They never thought twice about the Will of Fire. Itachi and Shisui thought the fucking coup was bad, but murdering their people would be fine.
As long as everyone aligns with the damn ideology of the village, no one will get hurt or killed.
That is how bad Sasuke’s view on the village is warped. That, is what Naruto did to him. He made him go back on his revolution, something that would’ve helped Konoha and the world to stop letting racism, segregation, discrimination, and fascism against clans deemed unfit, unbalanced and dangerous, be gotten away with.
His own damn team, Taka were brainwashed to a point as well. Maybe not as bad as Sasuke, because I guarantee that if Sasuke gave them the word to start the revolution again, they’d be outa that village under a half an hour. But to the point they barely see anything wrong with it.
The people in Taka understood Sasuke.
Jugo was considered a monster, he destroyed villages and the people around him because of his uncontrollable rage due to his unique ability. After Orochimaru researches his clans ability, he then experimented on him.
Suigetsu wanted to have the title of the “Seven Ninja Swordsman Of The Mist” with his brother. His brother then died after becoming one, and after that Suigetsu became Orochimaru’s experiment.
Karin was also a victim of a massacre. Her clan was massacred and she moved to the village of grass with her mother. After her mother died, she picked up her work and did whatever the people told her to do. Then the village she was living in was destroyed and burned down. After that, Orochimaru found her and she became a subordinate of him.
What I’m trying to say is, Team Taka can understand and connect to Sasuke on a few different levels. Naruto and Sakura couldn’t. They couldn’t understand what it meant to be a victim of a massacre, they couldn’t understand what it meant to be experimented on (even tho it was later, the curse seal was still a huge part of Sasuke for a long time). They literally couldn’t understand it.
Yes optimism is great. I’m glad Sasuke is more optimistic now. But pointing him towards the right path? He was doing what he thought was right, and most likely would’ve been. He wanted to change the Ninja world for the better. Yeah he had anger in his heart, yeah he wanted to destroy Konoha, but what he actually wanted to do is reform it.
This is why I hate this scene so much. This is why I can’t consider Boruto Canon. Scenes like this are what make me hate Boruto.

'Boruto' series re-envisioned
tw. opinions (and the wording is all over a mess so read at your own risk), plot-bashing (is that even a thing?)
[This is my opinion on what Boruto, as a sequel to one of the greatest Shounen franchises should have been. Remember, this is entirely my wishful thinking and I don't mean to disrespect any of the writers, animators or the fandom.]
Tumblr media
Boruto, as an MC, had immense potential. This point has been chanted to the ground but it is true. He is a third gen Uzumaki and second gen Hyƫga. And we all know Uzumaki have monstrous chakra reserves. What he needed was to work hard for it. Where was the training arc?
Think about it. We never got much backstrory about the Uzumaki clan and what their motives and morals were. It would have been cool to see another character use the chakra chains (beside Kushina and Karin). He could have explored Uzushio, the plot could've called for contacting the remaining Uzumaki who supposedly scattered all over the globe.
Maybe Boruto could have worked with seals? Minato, his grandpa, is known as one of the greatest seal masters. If the writers were going for symbolism, why not use that?
Same goes for his Hyƫga lineage. We get so much info about the Uchiha in Naruto, it could have been refreshing to see the Boruto lore delve into the Hyƫga faction, which isarguably the third (or even the second, not counting the Senju) strongest clan in Konoha.
Think of all the jutsu Boruto could have had in his arsanel with a Byakugan. It's hightime they get the deserved recognition.
Coming to another member of Team 7, Mitsuki is a clever character idea but ultimately wasted postential as well.
If the power scaling continues to get upped in the pace as it is now, there will be nothing left for the Time Skip. Shippuden gave us Sage Mode but Mitsuki already has that. Viewers will look for something new and we all know even Kishimoto wrote himself up a wall with Rinnegan and the Otsutsuki race. What will Ikemoto give then?
Speaking of Otsutsuki, it was sort of dissapointing to see them getting introduced this fast. Some will say Boruto is slow paced and yes, I agree, but in terms of keeping that air of anonymity, it fails terribly.
It would have worked better if instead of Momoshiki landing like a bug out a tree, they got clues and rumors instead.
The whole Code and Kara situation should've been handled first and then led to the reveal of an Otsutsuki nest, perhaps?
Or a portal like the one in Last to a mirror dimension or somthing where the Otsutsuki live? Maybe a dive into how they came to be? It is revealed that humans are an entirely different race and what we see of the Naruto cast are a mix between Otsutsuki and humans.
Also, WHERE IS THE BACKSTORY? Same thing with Hyƫgas really. The Hamura thing came out of nowhere. The Last is a below average excuse to tie up loose ends.
Now, Kawaki, I have a love-hate relationship with him. On one hand his backstory provides the perfect intro to post-war tragedies (and a hc of mine that smaller villages in the outskirts still get ignored in favour of the capitals)
But he just feels like a dollar-store Sasuke. As if the writers were like, oh Boruto needs a rival? Add in an angsty guy to contrast his sunny demeanor. I know this is a recurring trope in shounen but it works because it is handled well.
And people say Boruto is handed everything on a silver platter? Kawaki basically lives with the freaking Head of the Village, the elite of the elites, is looked after by the former heir to the Hyƫga and gets to be a genin because he has a cool explody power? And all that why? Because he is a mistreated orphan? (what about the kids who lost their parents in the war? what about aforementioned kids in small-sized villages? what about cases like sumire? what makes Kawaki SPECIAL, naruto?)
Kawaki shouldn't have been given any of those benifits. Let him figure out how the world works, let him make mistakes, show his potential as a good guy, let him prove himself as a character worth stanning. Give him a serious politics-based arc explaining that part of the Boruto era rather than some murderers chasing a boy with some magical cure.
Coming to the side characters (yes, I'm saving Sarada for later and there is a reason behind it), let's start with Shikadai. First thought, he is the most carbon-copied version of his dad out of every next gen character.
It's no news that scenarios and often characters revered as prodigies are dumbed down to make him shine but imo most of it is owed to the factor that there is no element of suspense or an ultimatum for that matter.
Kakashi, Minato, Itachi, Orochimaru, Shisui worked as prodigal characters because of the situation. It was war time and kids were forced to grow up. The stakes were high and even then, the plot revolving around them was such that it made them raise the bar higher.
Shikadai seems flat compared to many characters. Remember, Shikamaru was not called a prodigy, he even flunked tests because he was too lazy, but whenever the situation was tense, us viewers could count on his snippets of thoughts for a clarification, or little behaviors to show he realized and often times refused to work for what is right over what is needed because that is smartness, taking a level-headed decision with the least collateral.
On the other hand, Shikadai is fed information and he just 'explains' stuff like a NPC.
I can't help but think, what if Shikadai inherited Temari's temper? Mix that with Shikamaru's actual genius (not the baby puzzle-solving we see in that one arc with Kakashi) and he could be one of the team members to look for clue about the Otsutsuki's existence. Also, I'd like more windstyle-user Shikadai plz.
Moving on to Inojin. He is also one of those characters that I neither like nor dislike. He's just... there.
What Boruto needs is better world-building and ain't no better way to accomplish that than exploring side characters. Inojin doesn't have an affinity for the Yamanaka mind-body-switch so make him train for other stuff.
Let viewers know where jutsu like that stems from (yin and yang release), give him some productive time with the border patrol, stress on the fact that Konoha's citizen don't go to sleep at peace just knowing Naruto will pull some god-level jutsu.
The Yamanaka are an extremely important part of the security system. Remember how Inoichi was part of the team figuring out Pain's black chakra recievers? Make Inojin do something similar with, perhaps some Otsutsuki relic or remains (going with the mystery au)
Then comes Chocho. How to put it simply? At first I despised her. And no, it has nothing to do with her appearance. Actually, I find her and that new girl from the recent Labyrinth Game arc, Batta, amazing.
The fact lies with her attitude. Tell me one attribute that comes to mind while thinking of her other than Butterfly mode and eating chips. Sure, she loves to eat, we get it. The fact again boils down to her falling flat as a character.
Chocho could use her lightning release in many ways and it must be strong too, considering her mother comes from Kiri. She could have earth-release, that would be great to see as none of the main cast prior to this have that.
And if they are going for a Ino-like character, let the girl have some reality to her. A twelve-year old girl is far mature and has other troubles than just thinking about cute boys and girls.
She can retain that aspect but make her serious when it comes to missions, or her family, show her spending time partaking in her hobbies that do not include eating, ogling at movie stars and muttering un-funny jokes and inuendos. Give her depth, for a lack of better words.
And for Hagoromo's sake, LET THESE KIDS HAVE SOME SORT OF GOAL and not just exist because their parents hooked up smh.
Last but not least, Sarada. I, like many others, really like her character. She isn't yet another girl who despises anything remotely 'girly' and is not afraid to show her emotions and voice her thoughts loud and clear. She is practical and relatively smart without being an overkill.
What bugs me is her very existence.
No, I do not want to get roped into a 'sasusaku : good or bad' debate but they just don't make sense to me. And this is coming from someone whose first anime ship as a ten-year-old was sasusaku.
In any case, Naruto (not citing the last few chapters) made it clear that Sasuke did not see Sakura nor Karin as a romantic interest. And honestly, I still am onboard with him being an aro ace because, hello representation!
And whatever happened behind the scenes post The Last are only headcanons, so the idea of Sasuke suddenly marrying Sakura seems a stretch to me. Let alone him having a kid who he suddenly cares so much about after ignoring her for twelve years...(coming to the problem of 'as to why he did that anyway' later)
Sarada, in my opinion, should not exist.
Like, okay, Naruto has a kid but why should Sasuke as well because of that? PTSD is a thing and we are repeatedly shown that Sasuke has grown a fear of familial bonds due to obvious reasons.
If we calculate their ages, the new gen was born sometime when they were 20-23 y/o. Yeah, I'm willing to bet Sasuke did not get past that nagging anxiety of eighteen years in just three or four.
If they wanted to make Sasuke the mysterious sensei figure who is rarely in town and is always going in these crazy amazing solo missions, don't make him a deadbeat dad. Come onnn...
Canon!Sasuke would never just abandon his wife and child for the sake of the village that ruined his family (again, trust issues), the village that he saw ab*sing a child because of something out of his control (who's to say Sarada was not picked on and scrutinized because she is a former nuke-nin's kid and an Uchiha like Naruto was due to Kurama?)
Instead, Sasuke should have just been a traveller. He should still be wandering the nations to find his way in life, being someone beyond an Uchiha and escaping the burden that was placed on his shoulders at a very young age.
You know how I keep mentioning the small villages that probably get ignored? Show him helping them, him cleaning up traces of corrupted organizations like in the last few episodes of the anime.
Show his kinder, softer side in a believable way (not the comic relief that Boruto provides), show us him seeing the beauty in life and finding a reason to live.
The Sasuke we see now just feels like an empty shell. I remember seeing a post the other day saying that he showed genuine emotions in Shippuden but now he looks like he has lost all motivation to even stay alive. And he was definitely guilt-tripped into returning to Konoha.
Yes, that would mean Sakura would remain either unmarried or marry some no-name character. Though, that seems unlikely as her pining over Sasuke eliminated all chance of relationship progress with any other character.
It would be refreshing to see her let go of her childhood crush and just moving on, leaving behind the last link to a Sakura she did not accept, the one she changed. I don't mind having an episode dedicated to them having a heart-to-heart as good old pals, all romantic feelings aside.
Maybe on that bench too, if you get what I mean. It would show us how far they have come, as shinobi, as Konoha's ninja and as people, from naĂŻve kids to being the village's pillars.
Now, as to what the overall plot of Boruto should be, I have this idea of the war still going on when Naruto ends. Just hear me out.
If Ikemoto wants to resolve the Otsutsuki matters in this series, why not begin it with an intense fight scene where the generations following the main cast (Konohamaru and the rest) are fighting some low rank entities who serve the Otsutsuki.
It could lead to multiple of these strange class of aliens attacking from portals like ones the Rinnegan creates and base the entire series as a survival genre. Not only would that raise the stakes from being a one-episode conflict resolve, as it is now, it would mean the generation in the middle would become hardened veterans who the kids could look up to, not cannon fodder.
Make the prior war times return, but this time with an unknown race altogether. Make rifts between the Alliance, comment on how that affects the social and economical standings of various nations, involve the Daimyo.
Naruto can still be the all-powerful Hokage but make the rest of the caste equally useful.
Another idea that just popped up while writing this: what if they made mosters like in the Worm series appear? That threaten the world and some villages are forced to break the truce as they believe some ancient jutsu caused these attacks but cannot figure out from which nation.
Not even jutsu, it can be scientific modelling too since the Boruto era are scientifically far advanced.
Maybe I'm just reaching but with the huge power scaling like they have done, the stakes actually need to be high. Or else, every situation that they come across, we know they will get through it because of high rank jutsu they possess.
And for the last issue, just 'Boruto'. As in, the name. I'm aware it is supposed to be an homage to Neji but it feels so rip-off. There are so many good ones like : Hiro(for its irony as he is to be a hero and it starts with 'H'), Akihiro (personal favorite, means bright), Kaito (means ocean, an homage to the land of whirlpools), Asahi (mirror's Hinata's name meaning which is sun), Shinya (genuine, personal favorite), etc. etc.
Tumblr media
A/N : That is it for this part. I can make another as I have ideas just buzzing in my mind and no time to turn them into fanfiction. Let me know if you enjoyed these and feel free to PM or reblog adding your own ideas too!
Also, anyone wanna be friends? 😅 I really want to rant about Naruto with someone and none of my friends watch enough anime to even comprehend what I'm saying most times.

Why does Sasuke marrying Sakura makes sense ?
Now before you jump at me let me explain:
Sasuke certainly want to reform his clan. How you do that ? By having children (one child isn't much but that's already that), that's why SS makes sens.
Let's keep in mind that Sasuke is a pretty strategic person, and he needs a woman, so why Sakura ?
1. He knows her. Sakura is probably the only girl he knows that well. She have been a familiar face since his childhood, even if he did not care about her at the time, they were in the same class. Then they've been team mate for quite some times, they've shared difficult moments in missions and shared a form of intimacy during these missions (you know like eating, sleeping, training etc.). He knows what she's like, her qualities and flaws.
2. He knows she loves him, he knows she loves him unconditionally and won't cheat or betray him. He knows he'll always be welcome to her side no matter how long he's gone.
3. He respects her, or at least I believe so, as a medicnin and as a ninja, certainly as a person as well.
4. She is from a simple family and she doesn't have a shit ton of traumas. She had a very normal childhood and normal, caring parents meaning she has good/normal parental figures to refer to. And I think Sasuke wants to give a second chance to the Uchihas, a fresh start (might be  a reason why they had one child, no fucked up rivalry and eye stealing). He certainly trust her to raise a child.
All that being said, he's probably not in love with her, but that's not a requirement to have a child. It's just a calculated decision that makes sense. Is Sakura aware of that ? Maybe, maybe not.
Anyway that end makes sense in that way because life doesn't end has we'd like most of the time.

Do you like adult sasuke’s character design??
hahahHHAHhAhahHAHHaaa
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I HATE it so much you have no idea... Boruto’s art style is just so flat compared to Shippuden, the colors are so bland and boring... it really did Sauce dirty, what’s all that Snape hair now?! I loved his design in The Last but still hated the flat coloring (it was still better than Burrito tho)

Sooo... what does Sasuke think of Boruto and Naruto’s relationship? Does Sasuke being there change it from canon or...?
(Just for clarity, I call the actual character “Bolt” and the series “Boruto.”)
I’ll be honest, I haven’t thought that much into anything including Bolt himself, just because I’m not super invested in him as a character. But here’s my thing with the whole, Bolt/Naruto thing. (Mind, read I have consumed very little of the Boruto series, so my grasp of the characters and relationships are shaky at best.)
When it first came out that Naruto is always away from his family, I was pissed. I stomped around the house and demanded, “All Naruto has ever wanted is a family. How could they make him an absent father? How? How could they do that to him?” I thought Naruto had been Hokage for all of Bolt’s life.
That’s when I learned that Naruto has only been Hokage for, what? A year or two? MAYBE a little longer? Bolt and Himewari were THERE the day of his coronation. I know Bolt’s a kid and I know from personal experience that it sucks when your parent is too busy to be around, so he’s justified in being frustrated, but personally I think he’s a lil’ punk ass and he needs to chill out.
Sorry, back to your question.
Sasuke’s presence specifically doesn’t radically change Naruto and Bolt’s relationship. I feel like the writers only made Naruto that busy so he and Bolt could have conflict in their relationship. AS IF Naruto wouldn’t leave one of his clones to do his work so he could spend time with his family. But in this AU Naruto just flat out has more time for his peeps. Maybe the first year of being Hokage, he gets really swamped and needs time to adjust to the workload, but after that everything’s pretty cool.
Bolt probably comes to visit Sarada and Sasuke pretty often and he watches the two of them while they spend the day together. Sasuke also mentors Bolt less in this AU because it makes me salty as fuck that it feels like Bolt gets to spend more time with Sasuke in canon than Sarada does.
ALSO! I’m working on a post that explains all of the changes that this AU has. :D

THE TRUTH HAS BEEN SPOKEN.
Tumblr media
Why does everyone hate Boruto? Boruto is not that bad people just want give him the chance
I have deliberately avoided answering Boruto questions on this blog any longer due to the fact it gets me heated.
However despite this, I still am sent questions regarding this shithole series and people are still curious about what I think of it now, 40 something episodes in. To the person who sends me continuous information on the series: I don’t care and never have. Please stop. To everyone else: I haven’t always been entirely honest about how I really feel about Boruto, sarcasm aside.
So here you go.
Warning: This answer is not pointed towards you individually (anonymous). Please don’t take everything I’m about to say personal or as a direct attack on you.
Naruto might’ve “ended” fifteen years ago, and people who are still angry have every god given right to be.Because when you “end” a story in a mediocre, anti climatic, unsatisfactory bullshit way, it’s going to piss a lot of people off—as it rightfully should.Because when you disrespect your own characters the way Masashi Kishimoto did, a lot of people who spent most of their childhoods invested in the livelihood of the characters only to be told at the ending “I don’t actually give a single fuck about these characters or what they were primarily intended to represent” is a huge bitch slap to the face to the people who supported the creators work and art after all that time. It’s disgusting, it’s triggering and it’s horrifying. Sasuke’s character is primarily so popular due to how savage his creator treated him. Kishimoto started this universe off with a child suffering from traumatic loss by someone he adored with the essence of his existence—to end it by making that character not only a dog to the system that betrayed his entire clan, but rooted him to character that understood him the absolute least of all people. As an invested reader (as many of those were) this is disrespectful as fuck to do to a character. Kishimoto spent so much time reiterating to us about this broken, fucked up system only to have the one character going against it suddenly lay down and accept it, no more questions asked, silenced forever. If Sasuke Uchiha was at least handled and written correctly, people might’ve accepted the ending far easier, in time. However, this was not the case. Sasuke Uchiha represented oppression and injustice yet the ending made him even further ostracized. As in; his problems weren’t solved, his trauma wasn’t mended and his heart was still crushed. This hurt very many people, as it should. Your favorite character at the end of the story doesn’t even have a last word.
It’s the way that the Boruto series despite branching off into its own supposed direction and storyline continues to rob and borrow ideals from its predecessor in horrendous ways. In a way, I’m glad Boruto happened. I’m glad that the world sees something like Boruto because it highlights in clear depiction everything the studio and the “people” care about; ships, ships, rehash, ships, rehash. These are the people who watched Naruto and Naruto Shippuden to see Hinatits collapse while talking to Naruto, to see Sakura regress significantly when Sasuke is present—Boruto: Next Generations is aiming for those people and the studio damn well knows it and they are bringing what those people want to see, what’s going to get them to keep coming back. Because who cares about a child shinobi system highlighted as brutal in the original series? Not them! Let’s romanticize missions. Who cares about the Hyuuga Clan branch system? Not them! Let’s make sure we show everyone how important Hinata truly is. Oh and Neji? Yeah let’s never mention him again except for comedic relief. Who cares about punishing criminals and imprisonment? Not them! In fact let’s continue to bring in the main villain and even better let’s give him a child that he openly experimented on and portray him as a good parent! Who cares about all of those things? The true fans did. It’s the way they wash these important issues under the rug and never mention them again. It’s the way the issues that were tackled and prevalent in Naruto are no longer even discussed or mentioned. Because that was Neji Hyuuga, Sasuke Uchiha and Yahiko’s duties. Guess where all of them went. Notice that Sasuke is never seen in the village. Want to know why that is? Because he would challenge the system. Nope! Can’t have that—twelve years out on the hunt for a make believe villain you go Sasuke! The creators seem to not understand that the series can most definitely thrive if they were not continuously shitting on the old one; they could have created this universe in the Naruto realm that everything still exists without destroying the previous characters development. Naruto and Sasuke struggling against a battle with a weak minded villain with foolish ideals was atrocious—not to mention Sasuke goddamn Uchiha couldn’t dodge kunai. If the creators had actually paid attention during the original series, they would know that the Uchiha clan were one of the clans to master weaponry. So to have Sasuke—a Uchiha—struggling against them was a massive “fuck you” to his character and everything he made of himself. It definitely shows. Then they had Sakura attack the weak minded villain with a sneak attack, despite his entire cranium was shrouded in eyeballs and not seeing that attack coming. They really want us to buy this? Oh but wait—Boruto: Next Generations can’t have logic in it, people can’t read that deep into it. It’s a show for the new generation, it needs to be kid friendly. Maybe we just won’t notice, right? Yeah. Let’s pretend we don’t notice. In another way I’m glad Boruto happened, it reiterated to us significantly how unoriginal their ideals were as well as the incompetence of Kishimoto as a writer. Want to know a secret, my friend? We could have excused shitty writing if the story was satisfactory. We could have excused improper and rushed pairings with shitty writing, if the ending were justified and believable. Oh..but..that isn’t the case. In fact, the ending outright proved to us just how shitty of a writer Kishimoto actually is. So guess what? We’re pissed. The bullshit excuses of him being a young mangaka at the time is insanely inexcusable—it’s your profession to create stories and content and you fall back on discrediting your profession as undermining your own ability? My favorite outlandish lie that Kishimoto spoke was when he admitted he could not write romance—but Naruto was a series he wrote about the essence of the budding relationship between Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga.
Tumblr media
Wait—excuse me? But Kishimoto, you just said you are not very good at writing romance. My god..so why did you aim to write a romance story if you cannot write romance? Is it because
that isn’t what Naruto was about, perhaps? It’s the way that the authors intended dream for the protagonist became so undermined that he had to change his entire wording in order to make us believe that..it made sense. Yeah..believe it! Get this: Naruto Uzumaki an orphaned Konoha resident is ostracized due to harboring a demonic beast within him that wreaked havoc on the village years prior. Despite the sour looks and disdain of others, he perseveres on the journey to becoming Hoka—marrying Hinata Hyuuga. How fucked up would that make you feel? An average reader in the beginning would not derive that bullshit notion upon first picking that manga up. Could you imagine Masashi Kishimoto using that as his pitch? They’d throw him out the door quicker than Rock Lee’s downfall of being a relevant character. It’s the way that the own creator contradicts himself with his own wording. Stating he could not write romance and goes on to develop multiple—mutual—ships that take a back seat to underdeveloped asspull pairings. It’s the way that Boruto also fleshed out his inner shitty writing abilities by creating light novels. Here’s the thing about Light Novels; they are intended to explain situations, storyline or anything that does not initially fit in the manga itself or did not have time to be explained or developed. They are meant to help the reader themselves understand certain aspects or criteria that otherwise they wouldn’t have found in the original/initial material. Masashi Kishimoto decided now was his time to help everyone understand just how it was Naruto Uzumaki’s dream of becoming hokage was actually a fluke—it was to marry Hinata Hyuuga instead. Now this is after the disaster film of The Last. We’re still asking questions and here comes our Lord and Savior Masashi Kishimoto about to deliver us some tea! What the—there isn’t anything? There’s just Naruto boinking Hinata and..creating two children? Fine. You know what—you win this round Masashi Kishimoto. As a reader, we’re still confused about Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, though. The Last showed zero development between them—we’d like to understand how it was they got together. Bless us with your Light Novels Kishimoto. Deliver us answers!
Tumblr media
Okay, well so far this prologue is looking promising. Looks like we’ll be given answers regarding Naruto and Sasukeïżœïżœokay, then..
Tumblr media
What the devil
.okay. So this is Sakura and..Sasuke’s relationship? He just—returns. And says he’s back. I mean this would be acceptable if he just returned from grocery shopping but haven’t you been gone for years, man? Okay..let’s uh..see if Sakura’s provides some insight about this..relationship.
(couldn’t find pictures of her novel, I’m guessing because it was absolute trash, but here’s a video that goes through the story with hilarious commentary: https://youtu.be/_xBCABYy3qk)
For a summary, at the end of Sakura shinden, we are not provided answers regarding Sakura and Sasukes relationship in the slightest. Throughout her book she’s constantly..wet over him, that’s primarily all. In short, Kishimoto didn’t deliver us with answers to shit, except exposing his piss poor writing abilities. But wait! Wait, I forgot something! Oh that’s right—Gaiden! God how could I forgotten about Gaiden!? Maybe he provides some answers there for us?!Yeah to save you the trouble—he doesn’t. You’re welcome, I won’t torment your eyesight with the images. Kishimoto in Gaiden went on further confusing the relationship between Sasuke and Sakura. The point I am making here is that the reason those Light Novels and Gaiden became so popular was that people were expecting to read the material and gather information or answers that supported these relationships. To provide hindsight to their explanations or to at least give light as to how they started to develop that perhaps wasn’t in the manga. And the creator disrespects his fans so much that he doesn’t even give them that. He doesn’t provide answers, he doesn’t further explain information, he downright doesn’t do anything except appeal to what people want—I actually am not even sure what that exactly was for the Light Novels themselves, it all seemed like a mass of bullshit to me since they didn’t go on to explain particularly anything. People supported that man from beginning to the end and they were punched in the face repeatedly with the nonsensical explanations. Rightfully so, people should be pissed.
It’s the way the creator robbed a vast majority of people their time and investments to provide nonsensical endings with illogical pairings to support his work and art.People are pissed because he doesn’t care and all the evidence points to..he never did.
As I’ve stated previously; it’s not that we hate Boruto (the character included) it’s that we hate what it did to Naruto (the character included) and Sasuke for the sake of fan service and shipping bait. None of the questions we have were answered and absolutely nothing for these poor souls were justified. They are, instead, making a mockery of our childhood.
And that is what’s utterly disrespectful most of all.

Shit I agree with you guys. The whole next gen series just isn't that good unfortunately
it feels like milking the franchise which on its own can be fine! you can still create a proper story, a good story. like, whether i like the next gen story or not, it could still be good.
but it’s not.
last i saw (which admittedly is a while back! i gave up on it lol) they’re just redoing the original series... but in a diluted, weak way that takes away most of the original world’s charm and all of the original characters’ charm - even though their intent appears to be to... copy that which made the original so popular and continue the series, since popular franchise = money. studio pierrot(? is that the one in charge there?) doesn’t seem to care about applying that which makes a story a story, and it’s truly a shame.
they’re just watered down versions of the original gen and i.... as a writer,... as a person........... for fuck’s sakes. they completely ignore the original story’s plot (corrupt shinobi system that harms its own people needs to be changed and it’ll take blood sweat tears and probably a coup here and there) which didn’t even get resolved in that original... story... fuck you kishimoto. i mean the set-up for solving the problem was there in having gaara, one of those biggest victims of it, become a kage...
anyway we’re digging into my salt mine here so proceed with caution hahaha.
