Satosugu (Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru) - I just really loved (and cried about) their backstory and their relationship. I know a lot of people insist that they’re just friends (and honestly I’m okay with that too) but I ship them anyways lol. [Jujutsu Kaisen]

Byler (Will Byers and Mike Wheeler) - am currently dodging bullets cause it’s shipping war season but I love these two and I’ve shipped them since season two. I respect mileven but I always thought they would be better as platonic best friends. [Stranger Things]

3. Percabeth (Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase) - favorite friends to lovers arc and they’re just amazing together (when they’re characterized correctly!!) literally a power couple. [PJO]

4. Narusasu (Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha) - no disrespect towards sasusaku and naruhina, I just saw more in narusasu throughout the series and I’m not afraid to say they are just soulmates at this point [Naruto]

5. Marylily (Mary Macdonald and Lily Evans) - such an interesting ship with just the best dynamics but I never see anything about them sadly [The Marauders]

6. Klance (Keith Kogane and Lance McClain) - they have a silly dynamic and I love them. Not much else to say here [VLD]

7. ItaFushi (Itadori Yujii and Megumi Fushiguro) - now I know that they are just friends. This is more of a little ship I love to play around with because I like them and I think it could be a possibility. I see them as friends too but I sometimes love to ship them as well [Jujutsu Kaisen]

(JJK is also one of my favorite shows currently so I have a surplus amount of favorite characters but since I want to talk about a variety of fandoms, I’ll list my other favorites here: Gojo Satoru, Choso, Itadori Yuji, Shoko Ieri, Geto Suguru, Inumaki Toge, Maki Zenin)

Percy Jackson (PJO) - ik ik hes the main character but he’s a loveable main character ya know? I love a lot of PJO characters but Percy will always have my heart

Bachira Meguru (BlueLock) - idk why he’s my favorite but the vibes he gives really work well with mine and I feel like we could be absolute best friends

Shikamaru Nara (Naruto) - smartass, lazyass, sarcastic, literally me. He’s legit the only character with common sense sometimes lol and I always relate to him on some level

TSATS SPOILERS!!!

So I just got and finished reading The Sun and the Star and oh my gods.... Rick portrayed their dynamics wonderfully, of course their relationship isn't going to perfect. With Nico's insecurities and Will making uncomfortable jokes about the Underworld, angst was bound to happen. No love is perfect, there are always ups and downs but it was soooo WONDERFULLY depicted by Rick. The long gray and black chapters showing Nico's haunting dreams and actually seeing what happened to him during his time in Tartarus.

I love how Rick Riordan made Nyx more fearsome and powerful as befitting her status as the literal embodiment of Night. I love how manipulative Nyx was and I love love LOVE LOVE the Cocoa Puffs!!! I love how Rick beat back the Solangelo haters with such a beautiful content of their love and respect for each other. (I remember some people were calling Will ab*sive and rude and some people were even making such weird speculations on what would happen in TSATS, like legit someone said something like: "Nico cheating on Will with Jason's ghost in the new book". Like wtf dude, these people really be pulling out the wildest shit out of their asses. They be the same people that be saying Annabeth is ab*sive and that Leah Jeffries isn't "black enough", like bffr)

I love how Rick didn't make Nico's trauma go away because of the power of love and instead the whole journey to Tartarus with Will was what he needed for closure and to face his demons (literally too). I love that Bob was back but I am absolutely DESTROYED THAT DAMASEN WASN'T THERE!!!!

I know that Damasen wasn't in Nyx's view because he didn't really change. Yes, he did change and got the courage to leave his swamp but he had always defied his position as the antithesis to a god. so Tartarus is still holding back his regeneration. I am so sad that he was only slightly mentioned, I wish he was there, I could imagine him and Bob starting a life together (doesn't have to be gay) as the only giant and titan to defy their roles.

Also the plot twist with Menoetes and Geryon!!? Was I lowkey hoping that we got see newly reformed Geryon and Nico chat? Yes. Was I disappointed it wasn't shown. Also Yes. Was I absolutely okay with this random ship? Yes.

I also absolute love Will's powerups. From a light wielding sack of potatoes to someone who gave the Primordial of Night HAY FEVER!!! I loved Gorgyra who at first I was a bit annoyed at, but later appreciated as her wanting them to tell her stories was a way to help them in the end.

Also, to anyone who thinks the Tartarus thing belongs to Percabeth SHUT UP!!! A trauma experience is not limited to your favorite ship or character. Also, Nico was the first person ever to go into Tartarus and survive all the while knowing that he was walking in the body of a living breathing Primordial and the only one to fully witness the horrors of the House of Night. Sure Percy realized that Tartarus was an actual entity instead of a place, but it was MUCH LATER in their adventure.

Edit: This book was from a totally new way of writing for Rick as it mainly focuses on healing and the ptsd. And to those who think it was a bit unrealistic for Nico to have existential crisis, mind you he was going to Tartarus. The very place he NEARLY LOST HIS MIND IN. He was 13/14 when he went down there and was captured and put into a jar! Will was also a great candidate for his quest because it was like Annabeth and Percy said, having someone you love and and trust in that hellscape is the best way to survive. Sure Hazel and Reyna would have been great candidates too, but we wouldn't get the same thing we got in TSATS. Will was someone Nico trusted and loved and Nico was the same to him.

Also, fanon versions of Nico has absolutely ROTTED the minds of many "fans". Nico is not emo, while he was a little edgy he was mostly depressed. Also the timing of this book releasing is quite nice as well, because of all the anti-lgbtq things happening in the US, where many queer or other books are being banned. This book touches on the lgbtq subject where many young adults 10-14 year olds will read as it is part of a very popular book series.

You were excited to reunite with your friends after so long, but being tied up and held hostage at knifepoint by the people you love who don’t even remember you wasn’t the welcome wagon you were hoping for. Then again, as a child of Calliope, you can’t say you’re surprised. 

Apollo has a lot of kids, but demigod children of the muses are exceptionally less common. They’re volatile, really powerful, extremely engrossed in their art, and usually care more about their latest thesis paper or painting or manuscript than going on quests, and more often than not have very specific powers. You, for example, love quests but feel like you never get to go on any, usually because you’re fighting monsters somewhere else. One fun little power you inherited from your mom is - somewhat involuntary - dimension shifting. 

A lot of times you just get summoned somewhere else, with a little inherent background knowledge and your weapon, set free into the new world like a horrible sexy little goose. There’s usually some kind of objective you need to meet; find this person, set something in motion, give someone support in a time of need, deliver a package. After that, you get sent back to your family at camp half blood. The catch, one of them at least, is that a few days Somewhere Else could be no more than a few minutes in your homeverse. 

Another catch is that because of all that, and the fact that you wouldn’t know how to begin explaining, let alone if anyone would believe you, no one knows you can do this yet. Chiron has an idea, but you’ve never told anyone outright. 

You guess now is as good of a time as any to come clean, as Percy holds his sword threateningly close to your neck. You let out a disbelieving laugh, and bite the inside of your cheek.

“Okay, okay… you want the truth?” he starts to back off, and you continue, leaning forward, “I’m not surprised you’d want to know where someone this sexy-” your words cut off as Annabeth’s hand slaps you across the face. You let out a laugh of disbelief, cheek stinging.

“A cheap shot, Annabeth? Wow, I really didn’t take you for the type,” she grabs your face, leaning in close, knife once again against your throat. 

"How do you know my name." She hisses, and behind her, the door opens. Messy dark curls peek over her head in your vision and you know instantly who it is. Your heart starts pounding, loud and hard, and something heavy starts swirling deep in your gut. Your eyes lock as soon as he enters the room and an instinctive smile blooms on your face, knowing what's inevitably on its way. 

"Hey Sparky…" 

Your voice, slow and drawling (and, he'd be lying if he didn't say kind of very sexy) impales him as soon as he enters the room. He watches your pupils expand, eyes locked, immediately swept away by your magnetic aura. A fox like grin decorates your pretty face, and he gets the feeling you know more than you let on. Way more. He's so drawn to you on a guttural level, way more than he's ever been to someone before. His face is hot, and when you slowly wink at him, he feels flames erupt on his cheeks. It takes him a second to put it out, feeling your white hot gaze on him the entire time. 

Piper, who's been helping with your interrogation, looks back and forth between you two as this progresses, taking in a breath and mumbling a shocked, "Oh," as she begins to understand. 

"How are those repairs coming?" Jason asks, oblivious to everything that's happening between you two. 

"Uh… nearly done…" Leo mutters, watching as you hold back an elated giggle at the sound of his voice. You never forget how good it feels to see him again, but the fresh feeling is always better than you can imagine. Jason glances between you two, and walks over to Leo, suspicious of your interest in him. 

"I'll walk you back," Jason says, glaring at you. Your eyes stay locked with Leo's until the door finally closes again. Piper stares at you, bewildered by the tension turned to frantic energy crackling around both you and Leo. She can sense it on him even after he's out of the room. 

Annabeth finally drops your face, pacing and pinching the bridge of her nose. Percy slams him hands down on the table and levels his face with yours. 

"I'm gonna ask you one last time. How do you know us?" 

You stare at the table for a second, still thinking about him. You have to see him again. You’ve waited for too long, you just can’t do it anymore. 

“H- okay. Um,” You blink a few times, facade falling away almost instantly as you look up in a silent prayer that this doesn’t go as badly as you feel like it will. You sigh, looking back up at the other people in the room, a new, deliberate intention in your eyes that they hadn’t seen before. 

“You want to know why I’m here?” 

Their answer is the silence that follows.

“You’re not gonna believe me.” They look around at each other, collectively thinking about everything they’ve been through in the last year alone.

“Try us.” Annabeth replies. You sigh again, and introduce yourself. “...I’m a child of Calliope, muse of epic poetry, and I know you all because we grew up together. One of the fun - quirks, I inherited from my mom is traveling into different stories, or realities, I guess. It’s hard to control, and sometimes happens involuntarily. I adapt to wherever I am, and the universe sort of auto adjusts to follow the rules that stories have to follow. 

The reason you don’t remember me is because I was gone for a really long time, and your story had to keep going. Trying to find me wouldn’t have moved the plot forward, questioning where I went would have been confusing, so it did the simplest thing and edited me out so you could get closer to meeting your objectives.”

Once again, their silence is your answer. 

“Guys, sidebar.” Annabeth says, pulling Percy, Jason, and Piper out of the room for a moment. The come back in a little while later, and she looks you dead in the eye.

“If you really know us as well as you say you do, prove it. Tell us you’d only know if we were as close as you say we were.” 

You sigh yet again, having lost count at how many times that’s happened today alone. You roll your shoulders and bob your head, irritable that you’re still restrained and itching to move. 

“Is there anything we can do before the whole tell me something really personal thing?” 

Percy looks at you, challenging.

“Can you do it or not?”

Another noise of exasperation leaves you, and you agree, resignation all over your face.

“You know what, yeah. Okay, we’re doing this. Someone go get Leo.” An involuntary smile once again launches onto your face at the mention of his name. Jason starts to object. 

“Hey, I’m not going to spill something personal about someone when they’re not in the room.” They agree reluctantly, and Jason leaves, returning again with Leo. You look at him again, enraptured by his presence. He can’t say he doesn’t like the attention - a hottie like you looking at him like that? Yes, please - but something about it feels different, and he gets the feeling there’s a lot more going on than they’re aware of. 

You nod your head once, indicating for him to come closer. He gets a little closer. You widen your eyes, nodding two more times, and he hesitantly gets within whispering distance. 

You turn your head to your left, dangerously close to his face. He can feel his pulse already speeding up. Heat radiates between your faces, your breath fanning over his neck as you whisper slowly,

“You really… really like holding hands, and when I pull your hair during sex.” 

He pulls away from you quickly, beet red, bewildered expression obvious to everyone in the room. “H-how-”

“How do you think?” You reply calmly, loving everything about him, “Okay, to be fair…” you nod once more, eyes flaring, and he leans in once again, equally hesitant and curious. Your words tickle his ear, seeming to light up his entire nervous system like a firecracker.

“I really really like when you bite that spot on my neck, just below my ear.” 

He pulls away again, trying not to literally and figuratively combust. He stares in your eyes intensely, searching for anything besides the truth. He finds absolutely nothing. He turns around, unable to look his friends in the eye. 

“They’re legit, guys.” 

“Wait, what did you say to him?” Piper asks, unsure if she wants to know the answer. 

“Yeah,” Annabeth agrees, “what if it’s some kind of mind control-” Your deep, burning desire to finally hold Leo after god knows how long is starting to beat your better judgement, and you really, really want to be untied from this stupid chair. “Annabeth! Your favorite show was Cyber Chase growing up, you used to come up with plans on how to defeat Hacker, your best was cutting off his food supply - good strategy, I’ve used it before, myself. 

Percy, you feel like you can’t sing because you were forced to participate in an elementary school recital and some kid called you tonedeaf behind your back, it kicked you right in the RSD balls. 

Piper, you’re a closet weeb, you watched Ouran High School Host club obsessively and still do sometimes, you fell for Jason because he had, quote, 'Tamaki's looks and Kyoya's brains, the ideal man'. 

Jason, that scar on your lip is from biting a stapler as a child-"

"Okay, everyone knows that-"

"-and," you continue, showing no signs of stopping, "the reason you ate the stapler is because you were pretending to be a trash compactor because you saw one on TV. 

Nico is totally not right outside the door keeping guard right now, but if he were and you asked him if he likes the diary of a wimpy kid movies he'll ask how the hell you know that - should I continue."

Again, the answers are in the silence hovering in the room. 

“I think it’s about time to catch me up on what I missed.” 

A beat passes.

“Right,” Annabeth says, blinking and readjusting her ponytail as she sits down across from you, Percy already taking the bindings off of your wrists, “so, about the quest…”

She starts to fill you in on the details you missed, bringing you up to speed. After a little while you all decide to call it a night. Piper senses your energy ramping up in spite of the exhaustion settling in. You finally bid them all good night, but Piper’s not sold by your forced yawns. After what feels like another lifetime, you finally leave the room you’ve been in for hours with one objective. 

You can’t stay away from him anymore, you have to find Leo. 

After navigating a maze of hallways and doors, you finally push open the right one to see him looking up at you, and find yourself saying for the second time tonight,

“Hey, Sparky…” 

His heart is racing, and he gets that heavy, full feeling in his chest again, not having fully shaken it from the last time you saw each other. Looking into your eyes makes him nostalgic for something he can’t quite remember, and he knows with full certainty that you have more history than he’s aware of. He wants more than anything in this moment to remember. He sets down the wrench in his hand, taking a step toward you.

“Hey…”

Just finished The Sea of Monsters, so quick thoughts:

-Just as the last one, I love the narration, is super engaging and fun

-Is very easy to fall in love with every character, so I was so excited to see the new ones and meet again the ones I knew that I ate up the whole book in one sitting.

-I loved Tyson, he was adorable (please, he called the hippocampi Rainbow). His introduction was great, all the buildup to him being a cyclops was very good.

-I really like how the whole mist thing is handled, the feeling of mundane and magical like mixing it creates.

-I was beyond excited when Hermes appeared, he is my favorite greek god and I had to sit down properly to read that part.

-The entire segment with Hermes was amazing, loved every second. I was so excited qhen he said he had presents, is such an Hermes thing, 10/10

-I like the hightlight that many other half-blood would find easy to follow Luke, it shows how he does has some legit points, that even Percy thinks about.

-I really liked Clarisse in this one too, she is kind of cool. When she said her father gave her the bote I thought, "Maybe Ares cares about his children despite all, like in mythology" and then the mf threaten her and I wanted to choke him myself.

-I really thought Tyson was death "... knowing that Tyson was gone forever, and wishing I were able to drown" In the name of the moon Percy STOP, my heart is already beated up DONT SAY THAT

-The part with Circe was really cool too.

-Let me tell you if I had a PJO bingo cart, seen Blackbeard and his crew would have NOT been in there, wtf?? (It was great, I loved it)

-I legit cried when Annabeth was swimming to the ilusion with her parents and Luke. My beautiful girl, I wanted to hug her so bad.

-I was so happy to see Grover again, I missed him

-The entire escape from Polyphemus was very fun.

-Percy using the Iris messege was SO SMART it was so cool.

-The car race was neat as well, so fun

-THAT ENDING MY DEAR! I want to start the next one in this second but I can't feel my body, I'm going to sleep

-Damn what a good book! I hadnt finish a book so fast since... I don't know, when I read Mockingjay on middle school

Most of you don’t understand how movie production works but that’s okay. Just know that everything inside your head will never be realized and there will be drastic cuts and additions to the books (again)

The electronics not working thing doesn’t even make any goddamn sense? Hermes is the god of the Internet. Does this mean that demigods can use the web just fine but simply can’t call each other? This really came back to bite Riordan in the ass now did it? Wouldn’t it make more sense to use old means of communication once you’re trying to reach more important/godly people or electronics fail in an accute situation?

Turning everyone heteroflexible creates the image that you’re simply liking a character for the fact that they are LGBTQ and not the character itself, just saying. More representation sure, but that itself isn’t a personality trait and shouldn’t be the main focus of a character unless it’s really defining in the story line (Nico‘s arc partially for example)

Tbh, HOO should’ve been aged up mentor Percabeth protecting CHB, with the rest of the gang fucking up Greece with aged Reyna + Nico perhaps. I might post an outline on that AU someday (someone should remind me about that tho)

I’m currently rereading Percy Jackson after six years and I have to admit I remembered nothing but some deaths and oddly specific details (last time I read it I was like nine or ten, give me a break) and I honestly did not recall how amazingly the relationships between the characters are built.

I would like to talk about my favorite ones.

Percabeth is so beautiful, I swear to God. The way they slowly start to trust and care for each other until the point they are each other’s home, you can literally WATCH it being built and UGH

and they are so attuned to one another? Annabeth took a knife in his place so she could protect the only part of his body that could kill him without even knowing it could kill him. Not long after that, he lets her touch his Achilles’ heel without a second thought and oh my God here they are here are the soulmates officer

and Percy and Nico??? I would DIE for them I love how Percy cares about him and takes responsibility over his safety even though Nico hated him after Bianca’s death. Also, the way Nico forgives him and they start to build a friendship just kills me I absolutely love it

and I just HAVE to talk about Percy and Rachel. From the moment they first talked, it was obvious she would become important to him. It was just so natural, and I feel like their personalities matched in a very interesting way. She became a peace point for him and I dare say he became the same to her — their friendship was so easy and light-hearted that when the Last Olympian begins and Percy says he had spent most of summer by Rachel’s side, it seems absolutely logical, even though we don’t see their relationship develop directly. and I might be biased because I really love Rachel but I think that, if Percabeth weren’t meant-to-be (and you can’t tell me they aren’t because they are, they are SOULMATES HERE THEY ARE OFFICER) and Rachel wasn’t destined to become the new Oracle, they would have made an amazing and healthy couple. I love them they are great they are amazing and I wish we could see more of them together all the time (also to make it clear: in the way the story was laid down to us, Percy and Rachel couldn’t be together ever, but if Percabeth was written as friends only I think Perachel would have been a great, if not the best option for a Percy relationship)

There’s also many other amazing relationships such as Grover and Percy, Luke and Percy, LUKE AND ANNABETH shit I could make an entire post about Luke and Annabeth should I?, Percy and HIS MOM, Percy AND PAUL (honestly the Percy/Sally/Paul family is a beautiful concept and I legit cried when Percy called them his parents in the Last Olympian), Piper and Leo, Will and Nico, REYNA AND NICO WHAT A GODDAMN FRIENDSHIP, Jason and Leo, Jason and Piper!!!!, Hazel and Leo I adore them, Hazel and Frank, Hazel and Nico, and basically everyone ever

but I just had to talk about these three because they are everything to me and because I haven’t reread HOO yet so I don’t feel like I can’t talk about the other ones with dignity lol

but yes I love PJO and I love the work Rick Riordan did with all these great characters ugh it’s AMAZING

Ok so I finished The Lost Hero (from the Heroes of Olympus), it was pretty good, and here’s my thoughts : 

        THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE  : 

ok so i really want to precise that just bc i didn’t like those things didn’t mean i didn’t like the book.

- Jason. I’m actually warming up to him now that I took a step back but when i was reading i barely couldn’t stand him bc he was like...This cliche bland character surrounded by so more interesting characters but that the author shows as the real Hero of the story and the Best Person Ever. It’s a bit harsh, I know, and the fact that he often felt like a blanck state could easily be excused by his lack of memory, and I get that RR was probably trying to do a parallel with Percy but yeah still...But I’m still willing to give him a chance for the next books ^^. 

- Jiper. Yeah I’m hard on Jason, but this one is more about Piper, actually. I mean she has such an interesting background and personality and all that, but so many of her chapters were spent angsting about JASON (the fact that I didn’t like him didn’t help, ngl). And it also brought out a side of her that I really didn’t like and I fear that’s not something that she will have to answer for. Like she feels so entitled to her relationship with Jason (the “He doesn’t know it yet but he’s mine so back off” to Drew really irked bc girl that’s also HIS choice) even tho she met 3 DAYS AGO, just bc she saw how their relationship COULD be... Nope. It really doesn’t mean you have a claim on him, lady. 

- The fact that the storry is like 4 days ? 5 at most ? Like I know it’s always like that with the PJO book but I never liked this.I like slow burns stories and the fact that all the character developements, relationships and all that only took three days...it just always feels so rushed. 

- The fact that they let the threw newbies just go like that ??? I mean I get that they’re “old” and they guessed Jason had some experience but like he could have been very dangerous and a horrible person for all they knew ? And they just let those kids who have no experience whatsoever, after saying they’ll protect them and that they’re safe now, do a very important quest, on which literaly depends the fate of the world ? How could they even know they could trust them ? They didn’t even have any training (and no I don’t count coach hedge for that) ??? It just didn’t make sense to me. Bc at least Percy, in the lighting thief, was sent on a quest with on of the most experienced camper and the guy whose job was to protect him so THERE it made sense. 

- Some treatments of secondary characters like Drew, the Stereotipycal Mean Girl (which is a real old and sexist cliche imo, and it really doesn’t help that she’s a POC girl either), or Médée, who has such a tragic backstory but we still arent supposed to feel any sympathie for her ?? Fuck that. 

     THINGS I LIKED : 

- Leo. No wonder he’s a fan favorite. Like at first I thought he was just gonna be the comic sidekick who was would be useful from time to time, and then I got to read his chapters and MY GOOOD HE HAS SO MUCH DEPTH I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ??? He’s such a genius, so compassionate, his backstory is so fucking tragic and interesting and he’s a real badass I love him !! (the only thing I didn’t like about him was how he viewed women sometimes but I hope that’s something he’ll grow out of once he gains more confidence in himself). And let me tell you his relationship with Festus like...I legit cried bc of Leo when he died ?? Also I kind of ship him with Nico now, bc they have so much in common (feeling like an outcast, losing the only family they had...) but also a different way of expressing it...But yeah I spoiled myself I know it won’t happen what a waste :(

- Piper. As said before, I didn’t like anything related to Jason with her but all the rest, I loved it ! Her relationship with her dad, her fiery aptitude, how fucking brave and badass she can be...The scene when she hesitates to give the potion to her dad to make him lose his memory was so great bc it made her very human and show how she was still a kid who needed a dad, but still did the right thing...YES !! Also I was a bit warry at first with how she viewed Aphrodite’s kids (with the “I’m not like other girl” trope I could smell coming from a mile away) but I really ended liking her arch about it. And her powers are so interesting I really can’t wait to see how far she can go with it!

- The Aphrodite Scene. I was very pleasantly surprised at this, seeing at how Rick portrayed her and her children in the previous books. But here, he gave her so much more depth, and also to the beauty standards, and I fucking loved it. (also I want to add how he describes her appearance is depending on her viewer, instead of going the easy road by making her white and blond, is awesome and genius PJO SERIES DON4T SCREW THAT UP). 

- The friendships between Leo and Jason and Leo and Piper. I just think there is  a lot of potential here. Like the scene after Piper discovers about Leo’s firepower, and he thinks she sees him as a monster but she just says something like “dude what are you talking about it was so cool ????” almost brought tears to my eyes ^^

- The mentions of Charlie and Selena. I loved to see there was still an impact about their death and that it was “fixed” by Leo and Piper. They deserved to be remembered. 

- Annabeth. I actually didn’t think I would see her in this book and I gasped when I did, and once again, to no suprise, I loved her to bits. She’s still so amazing, and I really hope we see more of her relationship with Piper bc I can sense a good friendship there ^^ (also the fact she refused to go help Hera like good for her lol). 

- Thalia. Didn’t except to see her either, and I was so glad I did. I loved seeing more of her backstory and her being a badass once again but also super soft for her little brother

- Coach Hedge. He was such a funny and lighthearted addition, so different from all the other satyres we saw before, while still being a good protector for the kids and accepting his responsability. Bless him. 

- Hera. Actually funny addition from me, with seeing everyine constantly being like “yeah but do we HAVE to save her ?” like srsly no ones like her XD But also she’s also the only one who did something very daring, apparently, (and traumatized a kid during all his childhood !!) so yeah, interesting character

- The POV switch. What can I say, I’m a slut for those and RR really provided, it was so great and interesting to see their different thoughts and how it was perceived by the others !

- Just..Getting back to this world. I missed it so much and didn’t want to read this series when I finished PJO bc I wasn’t ready to let Percy go but now that I did it read it I don’t regret. This world and greak mythology really shaped me as a child and even now, and seeing all those Heroes and mythological figures...Yeah I really missed it.

She's just so amazing I cry every time jinkdjfbnd Percy is great and during the first few books I battled against who would be my top first but this Goddess just swooped in and stole my heart im sorry percy,, Annabeth is legit one of the best female characters i've seen written in books, she has her flaws and her strengths and she has my heart 🥺❤️

Other than the ones I have, #49 is really nice!!! She just looks so gorgeous and I’ve been lucky enough to see her in person a couple of times at the AG place as I believe she’s retired? I still hope to get her someday cause wow she is pretty!

Joss Kendrick!!! I absolutely adore her and I think she’s a very unique doll to have in my collection. Though I won’t be keeping her name as Joss, I’ll be renaming her Natalie after an official Olympic swimmer that gave her Olympic pin and autograph.

14. favorite historical character

That’s so difficult!!! Though I absolutely LOVE Samantha, like her books were my favorite to read as a kid and she’s probably the reason I love the Victorian/early Edwardian era so much but I will say that Addy is my favorite historical. Her books legit made me emotional and I won’t like that her final book got me teary eyed seeing she finally got her family back together. 

Addy is easily one of the most emotional stories American Girl has ever told and is definitely inspiring just because Addy’s determination is so incredible to see even when it looks like all odds are against her. 

15. favorite agtuber (s)

Oh man this takes me back, but I did love girloftheyearstuidos. Although I didn’t care too much for Search + Destroy, Music In Me and The ballerina project - she had amazing shorts, movies and I actually really loved Over the palace wall lol She was just a really charming channel and I really did look up to her videos as a kid. 

Though right before I stopped doing AGtube myself, my g o s h do I love AGsmiless!!! Aspen Heights is easily the best AGTube series ever made, I still remember binging the entire series in less than a few days. It does make me wish more actual TV shows could be as compelling as Aspen Heights, that’s for sure. 

Though I think xmollygirlx is my favorite AGtuber just because her Annabeth introduction video was what introduced me to the world of AGtube in the first place and really inspired how I interpret my own AG characters when I still made videos.

I have both, but I prefer earphones for everyday use because headphones hurt my head after a while (I don't like the pressure). I use headphones when I work out because they stay on better.

I’ve got more female friends for sure. I wouldn’t mind making more male friends though

We popping back to the first question (how neat, we’ve come full circle). Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson, I love everything about her. Her character has such amazing development, she's strong and smart, but she’s vulnerable and still just a girl who’s experienced such a rough life. Plus her relationship with Percy just? It’s peak romance for me.

What you said is so true. And I've seen this especially when someone doesn't ship a gay ship widely shipped in fandom. Like if you say that yo dont ship malec people will legit attack you in the shadowhunters fandom and label you homophobic when its legit about different opinions and choices

Never have I ever been called a racist before joining this beautiful fandom. Because of course does it make you racist when you break those two characters up. Never mind that you actually wrote more fics centered around Magnus with your fave, you are still a hundred percent racist because you made This Non-White Character break up with his canon boyfriend. It’s aaabsolutely impossible that this might just be because you don’t like that ship, or because you want to write another ship.

I like to think of characters as ice-cream.

You can like your strawberry ice-cream. I don’t like it. I’d rather pair lemon-ice and yoghurt-ice. You can eat whatever ice-cream and ice-cream combinations you will. Liking one more than the other has absolutely nothing to do with anything else aside from taste.

Even people who actually don’t like Magnus Bane have a right to. Because characters are a matter of taste. Magnus Bane is more than just a character of color, that is not his only defining trait. And if someone dislikes him for some other reason, then that is their cup of tea.

Never mind that he’s literally my second favorite character and that I don’t even dislike him, for fuck’s sake.

But even disliking him can happen without it being racially motivated. Say someone is bothered by his intense alcoholism and that makes them uncomfortable. Or someone just can’t get behind his fabulousness.

There are enough legitimate - read: matters of taste - reasons to dislike a character and if we seriously marginalize that you are not allowed to dislike a character of color, a character under the LGBTQ+ flag, if the only characters you are now allowed to dislike are the CIShet white men, then something is very wrong with fandom.

Yes, of course do homophobes and racists exist in fandom too. And there most likely are people who hate Magnus Bane for not being a Perfect White Male as they’d like for every character to be. But if your first reaction to someone disliking a character of color is immediately that it must be racially motivated, then there’s a problem.

Yes, there might be people who dislike Nico di Angelo for being gay, but your first jump can’t be that The Only Reason To Dislike Him Is Being Homophobic.

Because in those cases, you really fail to grasp the concept of taste.

Even if the author of the fic in the original ask genuinely didn’t like Nico di Angelo - which I am not accusing them of, this is just a hypothetically speaking situation - then that does not have to relate to Nico being gay.

And it wasn’t even the author’s own statement, it was the action of a character. People who confuse an author with their characters are very concerning too.

And not every character in-universe has to like Nico. Writing about about a character disliking a character does not in any way or shape reflect the author. Not everyone likes everyone.

And even if Annabeth, in that fic, had been mean to Nico due to being homophobic, that would still be okay. It’s called writing. You then get to complain that this would be OoC from Annabeth, but it is a hundred percent okay to write about problematic themes. Being gay comes with facing homophobia and writing about gay characters facing homophobia is okay.

Not everything is a sugar-fluff 100k slow-burn coffee-shop AU. Tensions and disagreements among characters are part of writing.

Don’t mix themes of a story up with an author’s desires and believes.

The Percy Jackson series is my favorite series to date (tied with Inheritance Cycle. Sorry HP) I love how light it is, how funny and deep certain lines are. It’s a very cliche thing to say but these books have legit changed my life. I’ve gotten into mythology and I love studying about it. 

 Since I’m so extra, I’ll just skim over all the characters. I haven’t read PJO in ages, so keep that in mind when you read the following nonsense.

 Percy Jackson, with all honesty, is the love of my life. It’s not so much that he’s hella attractive with his sea green eyes and messy hair but so much that he’s so dorky, kind, loyal and brave. He’s so relatable with his sarcasm and saying and I adore him basically. He’s literally one of those older sweet brother kind of guy, you know?

From The Son of Neptune, “Percy glanced over. He saw the fallen giant and seemed to understand what was happening. He yelled something that was lost in the wind, probably: Go!

Then he slammed Riptide into the ice at his feet. The entire glacier shuddered. Ghosts fell to their knees. Behind Percy, a wave surged up from the bay-a wall of gray water even taller than the glacier. Water shot from the chasms and crevices in the ice. As the wave hit, the back half of the camp crumbled.

Look how powerful this angel is asudhiauds. He is the definition of cool. 

Annabeth Chase is just, ahhhhhhh. I love her too. She’s a bit like Hermione Granger, in my opinion, and there are certain qualities of hers that just piss me off, tbh but at the end, she’s loyal and brave too. So damn badass and smart. I love how she’s like. ‘PERCY SPIDER AHHHHH’ but also ‘Screw you, Hera’ like damn, this girl.

Percabeth is a really healthy ship, I think because they were there for each other and have a lot of significant moments. There’s a lot of debate on whether their relationship is toxic and mentally abusive because she disregards his intelligence but I think we can put that to rest because in Magnus Chase, it’s Annabeth that suggests Percy as a tutor soo :) It’s a very mature relationship in the end, basically. 

 This is already so long so I’m just going to break it up. 

HOO is not my favorite series. I loved certain parts of it and who doesn’t want more of this universe? But it didn’t really compare to the first series so it was slightly a disappointment? I didn’t really love the characters but they had their moments. We should have expected what happened with Calypso, honestly. It’s a common trope for you know who to fall for her and her him. I don’t mind it now, tbh but I used to read Percy x Calypso fics lol.

 I don’t know what to say about Trials of Apollo that’s well, positive and happy because I don’t like it and I’ve skipped the second book. However, I must advise all of y’all to read the burning maze.

The Kane Chronicles are exceptionally cool because I didn’t have a clue about Egyptian mythology and entering a new world felt amazing, especially since it’s Rick Riordan’s world. There were moments when it became dull and I did not like Sadie Kane. She was too whiny (in my opinions) As for Magnus Chase, it too had its dull moments as do all books but it was so great learning about Norse Mythology, meeting Loki, dreaming about the trees and giants. It’s so surreal. The book had so much diversity and the sign language addition really impressed me. 

I skipped a lot of characters. Grover, Chiron, Sally for example. Let’s just say I love all of them. 

I love all these books in my own little way and someday, when I have time, I’ll marathon and binge read all these books in a couple of hours like I did last time. Thank you so so much for the ask Van! You’re such a sweet bean.

Mike, I liked him alright since the beginning but kinda saw him as the stereotypical bland main character/audience surrogate. But by the end of s1 and especially reading all the fics between the seasons made me really love his character

The 12th Doctor, with 11 being my first Doctor and all, I was devastated when he regenerated and then of course I wasn’t the biggest fan of 12 as a result. But in time I really started to like him a lot!

Rachel, at first I thought she would just be a pointless character to cause drama between Percy and Annabeth, but I ended up really liking her as the story went on

Lucas, I’m also very logical and no-nonsense and that has led to some disagreements with me and my friends before

Ok controversial opinion time; I really liked Clara and thought she was great but by the time of series 9 it kinda felt like they kept dragging her story out unnecessarily and that made me like her less (she’s still great though!)

Really liked Luke in the beginning (cause Annabeth trusted him so why would I not) so him switching sides totally blindsided and traumatized me (reminder that I was like 10) and obviously don’t like him anymore

A character you did not like at first but now do:

Hopper, I really didn’t like him the first few episodes, I thought he would be just the stereotypical cop character, but his character development has been so good

Nardole, I found him so annoying at first but by the end of the series I really liked him

Clarisse, really hated her in the first few books but her character development later on really made me understand her and like her better
