Arthroscopy Surgery in Delhi – Expert Care by Dr. Anant Kumar Tiwari
Advanced Arthroscopy Surgery in Delhi - Dr. Anant Kumar Tiwari
"Choose Dr. Anant Kumar Tiwari for Arthroscopy Surgery in Delhi. Expert in knee, shoulder, and hip arthroscopy, ensuring minimal recovery time and lasting relief."
Arthroscopic Surgery in Delhi
Arthroscopic Surgery provides a less invasive way to diagnose and treat joint issues. It uses a small camera called an arthroscope and special tools to see and fix damaged tissues in the joint. If you are looking for an Arthroscopic Surgery in Delhi, then you are right place.
What is Arthroscopic Surgery
Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive method that has changed how doctors diagnose and treat orthopedic problems. It uses a small camera called an arthroscope, which is inserted through small cuts in the skin. The camera sends images to a monitor, letting surgeons see joints like the knee, shoulder, or hip etc clearly. This technique improves accuracy and greatly shortens recovery time compared to traditional open surgeries.
Who performs arthroscopy?
An orthopedic surgeon usually performs arthroscopy, specializing in musculoskeletal conditions.
What conditions can be treated with arthroscopy?
Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique used to diagnose and treat various conditions affecting joints. Common conditions include torn cartilage, ligament injuries, joint inflammation, and loose bone or cartilage fragments. It's often performed on knees, shoulders, hips, and ankles. Overall, arthroscopy serves as an effective treatment option for a variety of joint-related ailments.
Types of Arthroscopy
Shoulder Arthroscopy: Utilized to diagnose and treat various shoulder conditions, such as rotator cuff tears, labral tears, and shoulder impingement.
Knee Arthroscopy: Commonly performed to address issues like meniscus tears, ligament injuries (such as ACL), and cartilage damage within the knee joint.
Hip Arthroscopy: Used to treat hip problems including femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), labral tears, and hip joint instability.
Ankle Arthroscopy: Employed for treating ankle joint issues such as loose bodies, cartilage defects, or chronic ankle instability.
Wrist Arthroscopy: A minimally invasive option for diagnosing and treating wrist conditions like ligament injuries, wrist arthritis etc.
Elbow Arthroscopy: This procedure can be used to treat conditions such as tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), loose bodies in the elbow joint, and stiff elbow syndromes etc.
Is arthroscopy painful?
Arthroscopy might seem intimidating, but managing pain during this procedure is simpler than it appears. Many patients feel only mild discomfort after surgery because the technique is minimally invasive. The small cuts made in arthroscopy cause less tissue damage, which helps patients recover faster and experience less pain than with traditional open surgeries.

Persistent pain: Back pain which doesn't improve after treatment even after several weeks of treatment points towards some serious causes.
Shooting pain: Back pain which shoots to other parts of the body like legs, soles, forwards points towards nerve compression.
Associated with inability to control urine or pass urine.
Associated with weakness- inability to move your foot or legs.
Associated with tingling sensation or numbness in your limbs
Fever, weight loss, pain which doesn't improve with rest point towards grave issues.
History of cancer
History of TB
History of trauma
If you have one or more of these warning signs, a a Neurosurgery consultation is required.

ARTHROSCOPY: DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURE ON THE RISE
What is arthroscopy?
Arthroscopy in Delhi is a minimally invasive procedure used for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the joints. The doctor can view the internal structures of the ligaments directly by using an instrument called an arthroscope.
Orthopaedic surgeon in Delhi uses the arthroscope to diagnose and treat joint problems. An arthroscope is a small, tube-shaped instrument used to view the inside of a joint.
It consists of a lens system, a small video camera, and a viewing light. The camera is connected to a monitoring system that allows the doctor to view a joint through a very small incision. The arthroscope is often used in conjunction with other instruments that are inserted through another incision.
The joint most often examined by arthroscopy is the knee. However, arthroscopy can be used to examine other joints, including the following:
Shoulder
Elbow
Ankle
Hips
Wrist
knee anatomy
Joints are the areas where bones meet. Most joints are mobile and allow the bones to move. Basically, the knee is made up of two long leg bones joined by muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Each end of the bone is covered by a layer of cartilage that absorbs shock and protects the knee.
There are two groups of muscles involved in the knee, including the quadriceps muscles (located in the front of the thighs), which straighten the legs, and the hamstring muscles (located in the back of the thighs), They bend the leg at the knee level.
Tendons are tough cords of tissue that connect muscles to bones. Ligaments are elastic bands of tissue that connect bones to each other. Some ligaments in the knee provide stability and protection for the joints, while other ligaments limit the back and forth movement of the tibia (shinbone).
The knee is made up of:
Tibia. Shin bone or largest bone of the lower leg.
Femur. Thigh bone or upper leg bone.
Ball joint. Knee bone.
Cartilage. A type of tissue that covers the surface of a bone at the joint. Cartilage helps reduce friction from movement within a joint.
synovial membrane. Tissue that lines the joint and seals it into a joint capsule. The synovial membrane secretes synovial fluid (a clear, sticky fluid) around the joint to lubricate it.
Ligament. A type of tough, elastic connective tissue that surrounds the joint to provide support and limit movement.
Tendon. A type of tough connective tissue that connects muscles and bones and helps control joint movement.
Menisci. Curved part of the cartilage of the knees and other joints that acts as a shock absorber.
Reasons to perform the procedure
An arthroscopic procedure may be used by orthopaedic in Delhi to diagnose and help treat the following conditions:
Swelling of the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, or ankle
Injuries, such as rotator cuff tendon tears or shoulder impingement syndrome (compression of the shoulder tendons caused by excessive squeezing and rubbing of the rotator cuff and scapula)
Cartilage damage, such as tears, injuries, or wear
Ligament tears with knee instability
tendon damage
Carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrist
Loose bones and/or cartilage, particularly in the knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, wrist, or hip
Corrective surgery or biopsy may be done using arthroscopy. For example, torn ligaments can be repaired or rebuilt. Arthroscopic surgery in Delhi may eliminate the need for an open surgical procedure.
Your orthopaedic doctor in Delhi may recommend an arthroscopy for other reasons.

From Mumbai's maidans to IPL's big stage, Tushar Deshpande's journey hasn't been easy | Cricket News

From Mumbai's maidans to IPL's big stage, Tushar Deshpande's journey hasn't been easy | Cricket News
MUMBAI: It hasn’t been an easy ride for Tushar Deshpande, who made an impressive IPL debut in Dubai on Wednesday night, taking two for 37, including the prize wicket of Ben Stokes, to star in Rajasthan Royals’ 13-run win over the Delhi Capitals. In the beginning of 2017, the talented Mumbai pacer, who had begun to impress with his pace and control in the city’s maidans while playing for Parsee Gymkhana in local cricket, went through tremendous personal strife. “In January, I suffered ankle posterior impingement, which required a surgery, and hamstring tear one after other. The injuries were going to keep me out the game for about a year. In March, I learnt that mother was suffering from (ovarian) cancer,” Deshpande told TOI from Dubai on Wednesday.
At a stage in his career where his sole focus had to be on cricket, Deshpande did well to cope with the massive personal blow, which ultimately saw his mother succumb to the deadly disease last year. “Her whole treatment period was tough, because it’s not just the cancer patient, but his/her family members too who too suffer, seeing the patient in so much pain. However, my father was a pillar of support for me at that time. Since I was injured in 2017, that one-and a-half-year period was very tough for me as I was not playing cricket, and my mom was suffering from cancer. Through that year, I just kept my hope, and focused on getting better with my rehab and fitness,” recalled the 25-year-old. On Wednesday night, Deshpande, bowling yorkers consistently, gave away just eight, when the Royals needed 22 off the final over, with Rahul Tewatia and Shreyas Gopal at the crease. After the game, his Capitals’ teammate and South African pace ace Kagiso Rabada praised the youngster’s ability to fire in yorkers at will in practice, and even called him a “future India prospect.” “I felt really good after making my team win and bowling in a crunch situation. It was something which I did not expect in my first game. I was just focusing on my death bowling whenever I was practicing, and just tried to execute what I had practiced. I was not trying anything new, as it was ‘game time’ and current situation. I’m now looking forward to do much better in the next game,” said Deshpande. A few tips from ‘KG’ in the nets about handling pressure helped the Mumbaikar cope with IPL arc-lights for the first time. “In the match, he didn’t say much. However, in practice sessions, I have been speaking to him about handling pressure in close games. He told me: ‘Back yourself and just decide which is the most effective ball in that situation, according to that wicket,'” reveals Deshpande, who was bought for Rs 20 lakh in the IPL auction by the Capitals earlier this year. Last week, the young turk, who was still awaiting his IPL debut at that time, sought tips from South African pace great Dale Steyn after a game between the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai. Deshpande sought Steyn’s advice on how to work on his fitness as a fast bowler. “Since he was the No 1 Test bowler for eight years, I asked him what exactly is the recipe for fitness for a fast bowler at the international level. I’ve managed to remain fit for first-class cricket, but I wanted to know how he remained fit for international cricket. He just said: ‘Its repetitive, good work, over and over again. It’s a simple thing, but you tend to miss it. It was important for me that Steyn told me this. I felt very good after listening to him,” Deshpande had said in a video tweeted by the Capitals.

Like any budding pacer, he was in awe of Steyn, who picked up 439 wickets in 93 [email protected]. “I was just watching his eyes for a while. I’ve seen them on television, but this was the first time I saw those ‘crazy eyes’ in person. It’s an unbelievable feeling. I still can’t believe that I spoke to him, because speaking to your idol is a surreal feeling,” said Deshpande. Deshpande’s willingness to learn seemed to have left a mark with Steyn too. “Nothing better than meeting people who are enthusiastic and excited about becoming better players. Tushar is all that and more! I wish nothing but greatness for you my friend,” tweeted Steyn later

“Despite the fact that his mother who was suffering from cancer, which was in stage four, he never changed his schedule. He was either in the gym, hospital, practicing or playing matches,” said veteran journalist Makarand Waingankar, who’s the youngster’s mentor. A couple of years back, Deshpande had impressed West Indies pacer-turned commentator Ian Bishop with his pace and accuracy in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. On Wednesday night, Bishop praised Deshpande’s impressive start in the big league. “Congrats to @DelhiCapitals again. They are a formidable team. That was some of the most exciting fast bowling on show in one game. Nortje, Archer, Rabada and don’t forget Tushar Deshpande were brilliant. Oh, and Ravi Ashwin too very good,” tweeted Bishop.

In 2016, Deshpande was amongst the four fast bowlers chosen by the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Bowling Foundation for a training stint at the Centre of Cricketing Excellence in Queensland in Australia, under former Australian pace great Jeff Thomson. “From the time he came under ‘Thommo’ in that Bowling foundation till now, I have been impressed with his work ethic. He proved that yoga, especially pranayam is useful to a cricketer,” said Waingankar. Deshpande plays for Parsee Gymkhana in Mumbai’s local cricket. “It was an absolutely brilliant performance by him on debut. I’m really happy for him and his father. Unfortunately, he lost his mother last year to cancer. However, he stayed mentally strong, worked very hard on his fitness and waited for his chance. I always used to tell him just one thing, do all the things that are within your control and leave the uncontrollable, and he did that,” Khodadad S Yazdegardi, who’s the Vice-President and cricket secretary Parsee Gymkhana, told TOI on Wednesday. Yazdegardi is also a member of the Mumbai Cricket Association‘s (MCA) Apex Council. “I feel proud, and felt even more proud when the Capitals’ bowling coach (Ryan) Harris praised him a lot about his attitude and said he is a very good death overs bowler. He proved him right by conceding just eight in the last over. His biggest plus point is that he is a very good student of the game and a fast learner. In short, he has a very strong character and always gives his 200%, even while playing for our club in the local tournaments,” praised Yazdegardi. Interestingly, the IPL hasn’t been amongst Deshpande’s top priorities. The talented pacer wants to play for India in Test cricket. A couple of years back, he was asked by Kings XI Punjab to appear for a trial at Mohali, but he stunningly, he preferred to skip what some would term as the ‘chance of a lifetime,’ deciding instead to turn out for his club Parsee Gymkhana in a Purshottam Shield second round match against CCI scheduled at the same time at Parsee Gymkhana. Last year, a big furore took place in Mumbai cricket when Deshpande was dropped from the Mumbai team for the Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. After much hue and cry, he was eventually included in the squad, and proved his worth with some good spells.

Arthroscopy Surgery Delhi - Minimally Invasive Joint Procedure
Arthroscopic Surgery: Purpose, Procedure, Benefits, Cost & Recovery
Looking for Arthroscopy Surgery in Delhi? Discover the purpose, procedure, benefits, cost, and recovery process for expert joint treatment. Consult now!
What is Arthroscopic Surgery?
Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique used to diagnose and treat joint conditions. It involves the use of an arthroscope, a small camera that allows surgeons to visualize the inside of a joint without needing to make large incisions.
During the procedure, the surgeon makes tiny incisions around the affected joint. The arthroscope is inserted through one incision, while specialized instruments are introduced through others to repair or remove damaged tissue. This approach significantly reduces recovery time compared to traditional open surgery.
Commonly treated joints include the knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle. Conditions such as torn ligaments, cartilage damage, or inflammation can be addressed effectively with this technique.
Patients often experience less pain and scarring after arthroscopic surgery. Additionally, many individuals can return to their normal activities within weeks rather than months.
Overall, arthroscopic surgery offers a modern alternative for managing joint issues while promoting quicker healing and better outcomes.
How many types of arthroscopy are there?
Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that allows doctors to examine and treat joint issues. There are several types of arthroscopy, each tailored to specific joints and conditions.
Shoulder Arthroscopy: Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that can help diagnose and treat a variety of shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, and impingement syndrome. With state-of-the-art technology and expert orthopedic surgeons, this procedure offers a quicker recovery time and less scarring compared to traditional open surgery.
Ankle Arthroscopy: Ankle arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat various conditions affecting the ankle joint. By inserting a small camera, known as an arthroscope, through tiny incisions in the skin, orthopedic surgeons can visualize the internal structures of the ankle without the need for extensive open surgery. This technique allows for precise identification of issues such as cartilage damage, ligament tears, and loose bodies within the joint. The benefits of ankle arthroscopy include reduced postoperative pain, quicker recovery times, and smaller scars compared to traditional surgery. As a result, many patients experience improved mobility and a return to their daily activities with less downtime.
Arthroscopic Knee Surgery: Arthroscopic knee surgery is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat various knee conditions. During the surgery, small incisions are made in the skin through which a thin, flexible tube equipped with a camera, known as an arthroscope, is inserted into the joint. This allows surgeons to visualize the interior of the knee on a monitor and perform necessary repairs or removals of damaged tissue without needing extensive open surgery. Common issues addressed through this technique include torn ligaments, meniscus tears, and cartilage damage.
Hip Arthroscopy: Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure designed to treat various hip conditions, including labral tears, impingement, and loose bodies. Using advanced technology, our skilled orthopedic surgeons can access the hip joint through tiny incisions, leading to less pain, quicker recovery times, and minimal scarring compared to traditional surgery.
Wrist Arthroscopy: Arthroscopy surgery for the wrist is a procedure used to diagnose and treat various conditions affecting the wrist joint. Common conditions treated through wrist arthroscopy include ganglion cysts, wrist fractures, and impingement syndromes. The benefits of this technique include less postoperative pain, reduced scarring, and quicker recovery times compared to traditional open surgery. After the procedure, patients typically undergo physical therapy to regain strength and mobility in their wrists.
Procedure of Arthroscopic Surgery
Step 1: Preparation
Before surgery, patients are typically guided through pre-operative assessments. This may include imaging tests like MRIs and X-rays to evaluate the joint’s condition. Patients should inform their surgeon about any medications or allergies.
Step 2: Anesthesia
On the day of the procedure, anesthesia is administered. Depending on the complexity of the operation, this may be general anesthesia or a regional nerve block.
Step 3: Incision and Insertion
The surgeon makes one or more small incisions around the targeted joint area. Through these incisions, the arthroscope is inserted along with necessary surgical instruments.
Step 4: Visualization and Treatment
Once inside, the surgeon examines the joint structure using video from the arthroscope. If issues such as torn cartilage or ligaments are identified, they can often be repaired during this same visit.
Step 5: Closure and Recovery
After completing any repairs, the instruments are removed, and incisions are closed with stitches or adhesive strips. Post-operative care includes monitoring for complications and managing pain.
Benefits of Arthroscopic Surgery
Minimally Invasive: Arthroscopic surgery involves smaller incisions compared to traditional open surgery, which results in less tissue damage and quicker recovery times.
Reduced Pain: Patients often experience less postoperative pain due to the minimal disruption of surrounding tissues during the procedure.
Quicker Recovery: Many patients can return to their normal activities sooner after arthroscopic surgery, allowing for a faster rehabilitation process.
Lower Infection Risk: The smaller incisions reduce the risk of infection compared to larger surgical openings, contributing to overall patient safety.
Enhanced Visualization: The use of a camera allows surgeons to view and diagnose joint issues more clearly, leading to more accurate treatment decisions.
What to expect after arthroscopic surgery?
After arthroscopic surgery, you can expect some swelling and pain in the area that was treated. This is normal and can be managed with ice and pain medication.
You may also have some stiffness and limited movement for a short time. It’s important to follow your doctor’s advice on exercises to help regain strength and flexibility.
Most people can return to normal activities within a few weeks, but this varies depending on the type of surgery and your overall health.
Make sure to attend follow-up appointments so your doctor can check your progress and address any concerns.
Cost of Arthroscopy Surgery in Delhi
Arthroscopy surgery is a common procedure used to diagnose and treat joint problems. In Delhi, the cost of this surgery can vary widely based on several factors.
The price typically depends on the hospital, the surgeon’s experience, and the complexity of the case. On average, patients can expect to pay between INR 50,000 to INR 1,50,000 for the surgery.
Additional costs may include pre-operative tests, post-operative care, and medications. It’s important for patients to discuss all potential costs with their orthopedic surgeon before the surgery.
Insurance coverage can also affect the overall cost. Many insurance plans cover arthroscopy, but patients should check their policy details to understand what is included.
In summary, the cost of arthroscopy surgery in Delhi varies, so it’s essential to plan ahead and consult with medical professionals for accurate estimates.
