Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh have finally started shooting for the new season of Pavitra Rishta. The show originally featured Ankita and Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead roles. While Ankita Lokhande reprises her role as Archana, Shaheer Sheikh prepares to rehearse Manav, the character originally played by the late bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and then Hiten Tejwani.

Shaheer Sheikh Replaces Late Sushant Singh Rajput in Pavitra Rishta 2

Taking to Instagram on Sunday night, Ankita shared a video of Boomerang playing with the show's tablet. Ankita wrote with a red heart emoji “Pavitra Rishta”. The actress also re-published a post originally made by Alt Balaji's official page with a picture of her famous on the show board.

Pavitra Rishta  has made Ankita and Sushant a household name 12 years ago. So it is quite normal for fans to miss Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav in the show. They started commenting in their posts how much they miss the late actor who passed away on June 14 last year. Some even said that the actors can come and go, but they cannot replace Sushant on the show.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s 1st Death Anniversary .

Previously, Ankita said the show made her the day to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Pavitra Rishta, Ankita posted a bunch of scenes from the show with Sushant and herself, as well as other co-stars, including Hiten Tejwani, who later replaced Sushant on the show as the male lead . Tagging the cast and crew of the show, Ankita's post specifically mentions Sushant, who is said to be her ex-boyfriend, using the hashtag #sushantsinghrajput.

"12 years!! Oh, it's 12 years of Pavitra Rishta, time goes by so fast. With over 66 awards, #Pavitrarishta remains one of the most loved shows on Indian TV. For 12 glorious years of this famous show. And that's not only Archana has given me , but also love all over the world and made me who I am today,” Ankita wrote.

It’s been 3 days and people from everywhere are not able to get over the shock of Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death. There have been speculations on him dying by suicide. His body of work shows that he was destined to reach the unimaginable success on the big screen. From television to the silver screen, his entry in the industry proved him a star. Sushant entered the showbiz through Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. He played the role of Preet Singh Juneja, stepbrother of protagonist Prem Juneja who died in just a few episodes. Though the actor had a small part, he made his appearance noticeable. Ekta Kapoor pushed his name as a lead in her next show Pavitra Rishta. After the previous show, he had not to wait and immediately got the break in Pavitra Rishta. The series received highest TRP during the time. In Pavitra Rishta, Sushant won hearts as Manav and viewers loved his on-screen chemistry with Ankita Lokhande, who played Archana on the show.

The boy with an impish smile got his first debut in films with ‘Kai Po Che’ and despite his immense popularity as a television actor here was he who seemed to want to fade into the background and not draw attention to himself. But fans loved him in this multi starter movie that could fetch 920 millions and became the sleeper hit of the year.

Next came his film Shuddh Desi Romance – a film raising questions on finding oneself in a crazy love-ship. The film rise Sushant as an individual star in this film and this was the time when he gained fans – for his performance and for his charming smile. Film did well in box office.

In his third film, he had to play a small yet a powerful part. Although PK was a movie made by Raju Hirani and Aamir Khan, his small part portrayed so brilliantly should not be forgotten. This particular film did generate a huge number, although not because of him, but it brought business of 854 crores.

Critically acclaimed film Detective Byomkesh Bakshi brought an other side of the actor – a more matured face of him. This suspense inspired film proved that the actor signed film to prove himself as an actor and not for a big role.

Then came the film that changes his life as an actor. Sushant was always a great choice to play M.S. Dhoni. Like the celebrated Indian cricketer, the actor hailed from a small town. Like his onscreen hero, Rajput entered an ecosystem where connections and labels matter. People actually started believing him the real MS Dhoni after the film. The film became the first of his films to enter into 200 crore club. The film could gain the industry 216 crores.

He grew as an actor in films like Raabta and Kedarnath but what actually left the fans in surprise was his role in Sonchiriya where he played a bandit. Rajput played Lakhna, a bandit in search of solace. The film was much appreciated by critics but couldn’t do commercially well.

His last film Chhichhore in 2019 was the second of his films that became a part of 200 crore club. Sushant Singh Rajput, played the immensely lovable Anni, shone in his role as the gawky, unsure college student who grows up to be a doting father to a troubled teenage son. All the inspiring dialogues from this film which he said to his onscreen son to explain how a suicide is not an option will be remembered. but alas! He could not relate to his own life journey with the character he played so brilliantly. Yet the fans will remember him as Anni forever. Remembering his contribution to our film industry, we wish he is at a better place and is at peace . The world will miss you Sushant Singh Rajput!

Karan Johar is at the receiving end of a volley of criticism after the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death broke. The actor died by suicide on Sunday and it is alleged that ‘professional rivalry’ may have had a role to play. Actor Swara Bhasker and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma have defended Karan, calling the social media backlash ‘height of idiocy’.

With the debate around nepotism reignited, Karan has unfollowed several accounts on Twitter. Currently, he follows just eight accounts, with four of them belonging to his banner Dharma Productions and its CEO, Apoorva Mehta. The only three actors followed by him at present are — Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. He also follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Sunday, Karan shared a picture with Sushant and said that the news of his death came as a ‘huge wake-up call’ to him. The filmmaker said that he blamed himself for not being in touch with the actor for the past year, despite feeling at times that something may have been amiss.

“I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year….. I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with…but somehow I never followed up on that feeling…will never make that mistake again…we live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times …some of us succumb to these silences and go within…we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Swara Bhasker defended Karan and his protégé Alia Bhatt and said that holding them responsible for Sushant’s death was the ‘height of idiocy and hypocrisy’.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma also argued that blaming Karan was ‘ridiculous and just shows lack of understanding of how film industry works’. “Just want to say this to the ignorant social lynch mob that @karanjohar is a bigger victim in this context compared to their ill perceived and suddenly discovered victim Sushant,” he tweeted.
