You had that one soulmate au for Cor/Nyx and I wonder how it would continue.

Because I think this is the first fic I've seen where it's Cor who wants to start the relationship and not Nyx. At least, that's the impression I've got from reading it - that Cor is willing to look for his soulmate, but Nyx really really doesn't want one.

Nyx is very, very conflicted about his soulmate. It's not that he dislikes the notion in general, just that his is a Lucian and a soldier? That's a fact that's hard to breathe around some days. So he would never seek them out on purpose.

Now Cor? Cor has always been to loyal and dutiful to Regis to leave and look for his soulmate. Because he would have to leave, since they're obviously not from Lucis. Galahd is far and not the friendliest place when it comes to being Lucian. For Cor it has always been 'there are more important things going on than looking for his soulmate'.

But once Cor knows they're close? That they're Kingsglaive?

Not that he has any real plan of approaching his potential soulmate, mind. He's very aware of the fissures of tension running between the Kingslglaive and everyone else.

leonie's got a skajllion different bows and skills bc of course i'm gonna spoil my favouritest girl! but man i'm SO lucky i pulled multiple linde-sara duos while trying for khadein nino, bc in my excitement i totally messed up when inheriting remote sparrow and def/res smoke and forgot to pre-inherit a regular def or res smoke so she could learn the highest level of each, so she ended up with remote sparrow and... regular res smoke 3. so i had to chomp a second linde-sara, so now she has surge sparrow AND def/res smoke AND the Very Useful For Her spd/res far trace.

took a while to decide who to pass ganglot's skills to, but i think echidna was the best fit to take advantage of all four inheritable skills (quick riposte 4 is a bit redundant with her high spd but eh, more damage reduction) and i badly needed a good fe6 unit for limited hero and resonant battles lol. who am i to pass up an excuse to finally +10 and more frequently use a hottie like her even if she's a character whose game i've not actually played.

and yayyy now vanessa! they added this latest rearmed right after the fe8 banner specifically for her, obviously, and i was able to get her all the max skills thanks to a spare hel and my only jill (which was a painful sacrifice but she was +res and i'd rather wait for a better one to train). still need a few more merges and the SP to also learn atk/spd push 4 as an alternate to distant counter before she is truly unstoppable but heeheehee

also MAN i need to be better at playing arena assault more consistently bc i am so refining stones broke and i still need to upgrade echidna's and vanessa's weapons. i could drown in divine dew but regular stones? nope

            SIX SEEMS UNPHASED BY HER BLUNT CURIOSITY, and Leonie can't remember people before the war being as charitable, let alone in this current era. It's nice, refreshing. "I've heard all sorts of strange names around lately," she admits, having heard everything from animal species to measurements of temperature used for naming conventions. "I suppose a daughter being named Courier wouldn't be quite at the top of a ranked list."

She proffers her own hand in return with a quirk of the lips, shaking her hand heartily. "The pleasure is all mine; and thanks. It's nice to feel part of something with some order, you know? Something that could actually do some good." And she hopes and prays she's right about that.

"Ginchiest," Leonie repeats with a smile she can't quite suppress, "I like that word for it, actually." She'd been thrown by her first sighting of the Prydwen, not simply because of the unusual design of it; but from the sheer shock of seeing something like that after months of nothing but technological desolation: it had hit her like a bus. "It sure is something. I can't fault you for immediately wanting to investigate — that was my first instinct, too."

Leonie blinks at her, gaping. "You walked all the way here from California?!" Belatedly she realises it was likely called something else entirely now, much like she'd found to be the case in her home state. Making a trip like that even before the war (and by automobile no less) was always a dreaded one to her; she could hardly imagine such a trek on foot. "That must've been so dangerous. Did you come alone?"

The question Six directs at her is kind, and not quite aware of its own weight. Did she like post-apocalyptic Massachusetts? She had little else to compare it to besides its better, younger version, and she didn't much want to get into that whole can of worms now. "It's… survivable," she tries, nose creasing with a semi-amused little grimace. "But I'm not quite as traveled as you are, I've no idea whether I should be more or less grateful for it. How do you find it compares to where you're from?" She pauses, then adds, "Are you originally from Vault 21?"

With enough conviction and no embarrassment, normally the worst thing she gets is a side eye or a curious stare. That's what she's used to, anyway. It's almost refreshing to be asked about it outright, or the part of her that sees the glass half full sure says so. It's an honesty she can respect, and maybe a nice way to really make an impression.

And a good impression at that, or so she hopes; Six doesn't miss a beat, "Would be awful strange if it was, wouldn't it? It's just the only name I remember. Reckon now you sure will, too." It's an inside joke she delights in being able to now include Miss Leonie in, her laughter like bells even in the face of her own death and the start of this life. Like it's an initiation into the not-so-secret-secret, Six extends her hand for a hearty shake.

"Leonie," Six echoes, an attempt to remember the name, a giggle still fluttering her voice from the joke, "Reckon it's awful nice to meet you, and congrats again," She can say it in a way that means it. It really is more data to mull over -- even in the Mojave, with limited numbers and a finite amount of sand pouring from their hourglass, the chapter there did not take recruits.

Six is used to the brusque --she knows these sorts of jitters well, she thinks, and the green as a sprout Elder only confirms her suspicions. Folks are on edge, because they've got a war brewin' on their front doorstep. Leonie is certainly one of them. The best place to get a good seat to see how things shake out is the front row -- nobody will notice if she maybe throws a hand in from the sidelines.

As far as Brotherhood go, this new recruit isn't so abrasive. To show she takes no offense, Six laughs again like it's not sweat off her brow. It's not, after all -- unflappable in the face of anything: that's Courier Six in a nutshell. She turns slightly, a small peek of the 21 embroidered on her back, like she's showing off further the obvious that is pointed out.

"I ain't never seen a ship like this before, have you? Ain't it just the ginchiest? Ain't seen nothin' quite like it out West," a slow trickle of information. Enough to answer the question while still buried under layers of fluff, "Curiosity brought me here, mainly -- I decided I wanted to see the Commonwealth for myself," and she juts her thumb lightly over her shoulder, towards her back, "I come from the Mojave. Walked all the way here. Thought it would be nice to see what's this part o' the world up to. D'you like it here, Miss Leonie?"

Ari & Leo (Sleepless Nights snippet)

Summary: It’s another sleepless night.

Pairing: Alpha!Ari Levinson x Omega!Reader x Leo 😉

A/N: This drabble is part of my Leo & Alpha verse. It’s the third snippet of their story.

“Shush, Leo. No!” Ari groans as the huge dog tries to get back on the bed. He grabs his collar and fights with the dog. It’s no use. Leo is too strong and heavy. “I said no! They are asleep and wake if you…”

It’s too late. Leo jumps onto the bed to check on your newborn babies. Ari Jr. and Leonie just fell asleep, and he wants to make sure you and your children are safe. The huge dog sniffs at your babies, purrs, and curls around them to protect them.

“Leo, we talked about this. That’s my job,” your alpha sighs deeply. Before your babies were born, he ordered a huge bed. It’s now big enough for you, him, and the pups plus your dog. “Not cool, Leo.”

Leo doesn’t move an inch. Not when Ari pokes his back, nor when your alpha scolds him again. “Fine, have it your way.” He’s too tired to argue with your dog or fight the furry beast.

Your alpha took care of your babies the whole night to give you a few hours of sleep. He fed your babies, changed the diapers, and walked around the bedroom, holding them in his arms to help your babies fall asleep.

Ari climbs onto the bed to lie behind you. He wraps his arms around your body, hoping he won’t wake you. You immediately wiggle in your sleep to press your body closer to Ari.

“I dare you to wake them, Leo,” he snarls in your dog’s direction. “We will talk about this in the morning. After I had my coffee and a snack. And with a snack I mean I’ll eat your mommy’s pussy.”

Leo lifts his head to look in Ari’s direction. “Yeah, you heard right. I’ll eat her and maybe I’ll put another baby in her womb. She’s my wife and omega. Live with it, furry beast!”

“Ari,” you mumble in your sleep. “Alpha…”

“I’m here, Y/N. You’re safe with me,” he whispers in your ear. “Only your dog is an asshole. He won’t let me sleep next to our babies. We will discuss his punishment in the morning!”

“Ari, you look tired. I told you to let me take care of them tonight,” you offer a cup to your alpha. “Did they let you sleep for a while?”

The babies were little angels,” he wrinkles his nose as Leo walks into the kitchen to lie next to your feet, “your dog not so much. He wouldn’t let me lie next to our babies. The furry beast gets cocky!”

“Aw, he tried to protect the babies,” you coo and kneel next to your dog. Ruffling his thick fur, you smile. “You’re a good boy, Leo. Mommy loves you.”

“He needs to learn his place. The dog cannot disrespect me, and my position in this pack. I’m the pack leader, he’s the dog.”

“You bought him to protect me,” you grin at Ari. “Leo does a good job. But, if you want me to, I’ll tell him to sleep at the foot of the bed.”

Ari pouts. Your 6ft high and beefy alpha pouts, make your heart melt. “You like him more than me.”

You step toward your alpha to put your hand on his chest. “Alpha, baby. I only love you. You’re the most important man in my life. Except for our baby boy,” you whisper. “Let me handle Leo. He’ll understand that you are the alpha of our pack.”

“Leo, come here,” you pat the foot of the bed. “Look at my big boy protecting me and our babies.” You coo as your dog lies on the foot of the bed. “Good boy.”

Ari lies on the bed and runs his hand over his son’s head. He smiles as you make sure that Leo stays on the foot of the bed. “You should get some sleep, Y/N. The little ones are asleep.”

You sigh. Leo longingly looks at the babies, whining as he wants to be closer to your children and you. “Fine, he can get a little closer.” Ari hates watching your dog whine. He won’t admit it, but he loves the dog too.

Leo slowly crawls toward the babies. He looks at them before lying to their feet.

“You’ve got a weak spot for Leo,” you reach out for your alpha to squeeze his hand. “I love you, Ari.”

“I love you too,” he looks at his babies lie in the middle of your nest, “and the wonders you gave to me.”

Leoni make saki a warm pillow fort on the bed, provide her with dimmed lighting and ensure the atmosphere is very calm for the baby! ૮ ྀི◞ ⸝⸝ ◟ ྀིა

Honami is so so gentle and careful when she’s picking her up and laying her down to make sure that her dizziness doesn’t worsen ૮꒰◞ ˕ ◟ ྀི꒱ა

Shiho keeps providing her with warm compressors that look like plushies and pacifiers so the baby can be soothed softly ໒꒰ྀི｡- ˕ -｡꒱ྀི১

Ichika prepares her tiny baby communication cards because the baby struggles with communicating her needs so they give her the cards so that she can simply point at what she needs!! (っ˕ -｡)ᶻ 𝗓 ����

To help her take her medicines, Honami spoon feeds it to her in the cutest of baby cutlery to make it easier for saki ! ૮꒰ ྀི◜๑◝ ꒱ა

And Shiho swaddles her in the warmest of blankies to keep the baby warm and cozy ς꒰ ´‌ ତ ˋ‌ς ꒱ა

While Ichika prepares her a warm bottle of angel milk to help soothe her to sleep ૮꒰ྀི ᵔ ๑ ᵔ ꒱ა

The eepy baby can rest when she’s all soothed, and they make sure to hold her allll day until her flare ups are easier on her! ૮ ྀི◞ ⸝⸝ ◟ ྀིა

"La caída de los ángeles rebeldes", una escultura realizada en 1740 por el artista italiano Agostino Fasolato, fue tallada en un único bloque de mármol de Carrara y muestra a 60 ángeles caídos. Con cerca de 2 metros de altura, la obra simboliza la lucha entre el bien y el mal. Está inspirada en los versos del Apocalipsis de Juan, que describen una intensa batalla celestial en la que Miguel y sus ángeles enfrentan a Lucifer y a los rebeldes, quienes son arrojados a la tierra con un estruendoso desplome. Actualmente se encuentra en el Palacio Leoni Montanari, en Vicenza.

“The Fall of the Rebel Angels”, a sculpture made in 1740 by Italian artist Agostino Fasolato, was carved from a single block of Carrara marble and depicts 60 fallen angels. About 2 meters high, the work symbolizes the struggle between good and evil. It is inspired by the verses of the Apocalypse of John, which describe an intense heavenly battle in which Michael and his angels confront Lucifer and the rebels, who are thrown to earth with a thunderous crash. It is currently housed in the Leoni Montanari Palace in Vicenza.
