bertie engaged to tim just before they were drafted for the lunar war, tim thought he was joking but still said yes. bertie’s last words after getting shot protecting jonny were to tim ‘and to think i had the flowers picked out and everything.” and through sobs tim replied “you weren’t kidding?” bertie never got the chance to respond as he died before he had the chance, tim never forgets that interaction but still says they were just friends.

Invincible Fight Girl s2 episode prediction

Bertie returns. She’s done that shonen antagonist thing where she’s placed the blame for all the things that happened to her square on Andy, deserving or not, and plans to basically kill her in the ring for it. Initially Andy thinks to herself “I have to fight back, it’s not even about wrestling or improving, self defense!” But whenever she goes to start a blow or grapple, she can’t help but see that lonely little girl abandoned by her parents, and the scared one cast out of her town.

So Andy decides right then and there that she’s not going to lay a finger on Bertie. She bobs and weaves and dodges, all while trying to talk to Bertie to get her to stop attacking. I’m not sure if it works or not honestly.

Part of this is definitely me wanting Bertie to be happy, sue me, but there’s more. It would be some real character growth for Andy, because it would show that while she desperately loves wrestling, it isn’t all she is. She has a moral code she won’t break, even if it means losing a match she could’ve/should’ve won.

Okay I don’t know How long it takes could anyone PLEASE make a Hurt/Comfort fanfic taking place after Episode 7 that Andy Goes to find Bertie and tries to console her after she was Literally thrown out of town, even rejected by her Own Parents!? Knowing that her family remains broken forever!

Like I can’t just wait until Season 2 (when it happens) to see Bertie’s return. Because damnit I NEED IT NOW!!
