we like to joke about the stealth archer thing. for a decade and a half now. but i think the reason why it ends up being such a common build in skyrim is because it's the only combat style that is actually satisfying to play. melee is just strafing and spamming lmb, occasionally rmb if you want to block. magic is just strafing and holding lmb/rmb. stealth archery has an internal narrative arc. set up (targeting), tension (aiming), and release (release). doing it well rewards the player with a funny ragdoll

i don't think it's because it's the best (even though it is), it's just that it's just a vastly more satisfying gameplay loop. in reverse, i would hazard this is why very few people use bows and their main source of damage in dark souls - often opting for guts-sized swords. it has the same gameplay loop of mindlessly attacking and walking away as melee in skyrim

i can’t believe fusebox fumbled this season that badly in the span of a week. what was the point of the tristan/franki drama just for the two of them AND sofia to leave the season off screen? why even give mc the option to say she’s back for revenge? why put mc in casa amor with a bunch of new boys instead of bringing us back as a casa girl with the og boys? how would our og li even survived 2 weeks being single without getting dumped? what even is the point of having your original li be so loyal if they didn’t want to leave the villa with you…?

Natasha, Bucky & Yelena not setting off the spider-sense and making Peter jump because They're Just That Good: nope. literally not how the spider-sense works, like at all. someone can be the best and most sneaky spy-assassin in the universe and they'll still set it off, and they can be tracked using it. unless they've specifically found a way to block it, it's not happening

Thinking about "A Bard's Lament" again - I've heard and read it said a lot that if Ashley Johnson had been able to play Pike that day Scanlan might not have left, and yep, valid, but also consider this -

if Ashley had been at the table for "The Deceiver's Stand", I don't think we would've had Grog's "No. No. NO. Fix him. FIX HIM!"

This might be weird to ask, but how’s everyone together in the Murder Mystery animation? I know it’s just like, a hypothetical situation, but they’re all so far away from each other in all the maps you’ve shown. :0

Well first and foremost, the groups converge several times over the course of the story. While it's not super often, all 15 do meet up and sometimes must bunk down somewhere safe together for periods of time.

In the murder mystery anim, they are all taking refuge in Brook's farmhouse. A few mimes they trust* are there with them-- assuming they would help keep an eye out for other more hostile mimes.

So in that hypothetical, all fated 15 are there, plus Ching, Weepy, Uppsulka, TyV, Chickenstab, and Rede (*They only trust him when Chickenstab is paired with him) are all in the vicinity as well.

That's an extremely large grouping that would very rarely happen during canon stories, so I don't blame you for wondering how the hell that could have happened, lmao.

the doctor is emotionally manipulative. he’s very good at it, and even better at justifying it both to himself and the people he’s doing it to. he can see when his approval, his affection, is valuable enough to someone that withholding it will be an effective way of getting them to do what he wants. this is one of his best flaws, that he’ll do this to people and do it to them for his own definition of what’s good for them.

hmm thinking about all the lonely old businessmen id meet up with in sapporo... most of them were usually on some work trip or another and just needed to relieve a bit of tension. they'd almost always be so nice at first, but as soon as we'd be alone, they'd get sooo fucking disgusting and mean and desperate, it was really clear just how pent up work had them. luckily im pretty good at stress relief 💕

Sometimes i miss the days before major social media apps took over where people had like their own websites/blogs literally anywhere else than the main sites/apps now. I used to read so many webcomics (NOT on webtoon) by independent artists and followed so many fashion/makeup bloggers or artists who posted maybe once a week and I LIVED for each little update. Used to hop from one interior decor/graphic design blogs to another just being amazed by beautiful photos and stuff before Pinterest took off. People felt so much more creative back then idk. Blogs felt more unique and organic (even though yeah lots of them still shilled stuff all the time but it wasn’t as grossly pervasive as it is now). I miss that so much.
