Term idea, or concept.
I'm not sure how to explain this, I think for now my format of telling ideas would be in rambling (since I like everything complex and I am not able to think properly or calmly for at least a minute,) but I want to get this out before the idea goes away.
I'm not sure about the specifics or what it should be called, but my concept, or idea, is: Something involving our bodies' natural water being specifically water from glaciers (or just Arctic water in general. It could also be freezing water, or icy water.)
Most likely a TransID term, and I'm not sure how logically that could make sense, because all water is water and most of the time there's not really a difference between them except for maybe temperatures, but, I think it would be pretty cool.
So, basically: A TransID term or label where one desires, identifies as having, or wants, their body's natural water to be from a glacier, or from the Arctic in general. I feel like this would be validating to people (like me) who are identifying partially or fully, or to just some extent, Arctic concepts and bodies of ice (glaciers and icebergs.)
I have a problem with my ramblings not fully making sense to me, but I hope to someone, it would make sense to them. If anybody does this term, then feel free to reblog or mention me. (Reblogs are preferred, as I might turn mentions off in the near future.)

Yes, König comes in many forms and he always wants to knock you up. But!
Cabin!König is particularly designed to breed, and heâs very vehement about doing just so.
Hauls you deep into the Alps and shoves you inside this cute cabin that looks minimalistic and weather-beaten on the outside but insanely adorable on the inside. Thereâs a fireplace and a broad, sturdy hardwood bed (for the purpose of you know perfectly well what...), indoor plumbing for your convenience, an electric oven for you to bake him cookies and pastries (traditional Austrian ones if you wish to pamper and spoil him) and a lot of authentic 19th-century art on the walls, next to the ropes and traps and cast iron pans and pots and wicker baskets that hold woollen blankets in case you get cold.
But you really donât get a chance to get cold, do you? Because König is on and in you every chance he gets. Man's got a plan, and he has always implemented his strategies and completed his projects with a frightening amount of energy, commitment and willpower. You wake up in the morning to his heated cuddles and soft whines, knowing that youâre about to get taken from behind â again. Heâs soft and slow at first, cuddlefucking and spooning you like youâre the best thing in his entire world... but you know itâs all just a warm-up. The thrusts get deeper and more intense as the morning session goes on, until both of you are fully awake and König gets into his full breeding mood. Itâs the same thing in the evening, but this time, heâs on top and looks you deep in the eyes as he makes love to you while your toes curl and point to the ceiling. He has been talking about wanting to have babies ever since you met: actually, he brought the subject up on your first date - to your horror and intrigue - wanting to know if you would ever want kids and if you were in it for the long haul because he was sick of dating just for some shallow, casual fun.
You could never have known that you would get folded into a mating press every day after only a few months of your acquintance, but here you are: getting stuffed full of potent cum every day, multiple times per day, because König has decided that you are the perfect wife material and the perfect mother for his kids.

How do you imagine each member of the Chain waking up from a nightmare?

Well it would depend on the intensity of the nightmare itself, but hereâs generally what I think!
Time: is used to sleeping next to Malon, so heâs gotten good at controlling his reaction. Usually wakes up with a soft gasp, jerks a little, but stops himself from bolting upright.
Twilight: makes a lot of little noises in his sleep, and when heâs having a nightmare they get louder, and he starts getting really restless. He usually wakes up with a loud gasp or sob, but once he realizes what heâs doing he quickly muffles it.
Warriors: also good at keeping his reaction controlled, can usually act like he isnât even having one. But if itâs a really bad nightmare, sometimes he talks in his sleep and bolts upright, and he canât stand touch until the nightmare is less sharp in his mind.
Sky: he often wakes up slowly, even with the more intense nightmares. He tends to sweat a lot while heâs having them, and usually wakes up feeling hot and gross. And it takes him a long time to fall asleep after one, since his thoughts of whether it might have been prophetic (itâs happened before...) usually keep him awake.
Legend: jerks straight up, but doesnât make any noise aside from a deeper inhale. If heâs crying at all itâs all very quiet tears, and he tends to shake a lot.
Hyrule: similar to Time and Warriors, heâs gotten good at controlling his reaction. Doesnât always happen though, and if heâs woken up too abruptly then his initial reaction is to yell to distract, then get away or grab a weapon. Luckily the others figured that out pretty quick.
Four: talks a lot in his sleep during nightmares, lots of whimpers and pleas, and often wakes up with a cry. But he goes dead-silent after heâs woken up, and often feels shaky afterwards, and hates it.
Wind: looks like heâs dead asleep until suddenly heâs sitting up and crying. It takes him a minute to fully wake up too, so until that happens, he clings to either his blanket or whoever woke him up from it.
Wild: very restless, doesnât sleep very deeply in the first place, so when he has nightmares theyâre usually broken up weirdly between periods where heâs more awake. Usually wakes up sniffly and unsettled, and disturbed by what he really hopes arenât memories.

Uika and her inner monster, Doloris
Admittedly when I first watched It's MyGO and Ave Mujica 0th, I didn't really think much of Uika. She and Doloris are presented as such vastly different entities that my brain kind of glossed over her, because I don't tend to go crazy for characters who are presented to us as always being bright and warm. Even when the last episode aired and I saw her undergo the transformation from Uika into Doloris, it still hadn't fully set in for me (though perhaps this is simply because I was busy losing my mind in excitement about seeing Ave Mujica at all as well as the sequel announcement).
But reading the interviews that came out after the anime finished airing completely changed that. Uika is Tomori's opposite in every regard? She has a secret so intense it made her voice actress stand out of her chair and yell when she heard it? I need to know more! What on earth could this seemingly kind character be hiding?
I've been keeping a close eye on her content ever since, and it's slowly making me feel insane. So, in anticipation for the anime, as well as their 4th concert which will happen in December and thus give us even more Doloris lore, I wanted to compile a post on the both of them in which I will present my various thoughts and theories.
Doloris
Uika is, in the most literal sense, Doloris' actress. This could perhaps lend to many believing that Uika is not Doloris, or rather that Doloris is not Uika. At the same time, I want to pose a very simple question.
Who came first: Doloris or Uika?
Timeline-wise, Doloris came first. Can Uika even exist without Doloris? Can she be who she is without us immediately recognizing her as being Doloris? What came first was not "Doloris is a puppet persona Uika plays as on stage," but rather it was "Uika is Doloris from Ave Mujica." This was their intent; to introduce Doloris to us, and then to introduce this girl who has an identical design to her in the anime, who is seemingly her exact opposite. What weight could Uika's scenes hold, if not to tell us that she will later turn into the monster known as Doloris? On her own, without Doloris, what does Uika represent?
Doloris herself talks about wanting to be seen for her true self. Is Uika Doloris' true self, or is Doloris Uika's true self? Which is it that they want us to believe? Which one does "Uika" want us to believe? Which one is Sakiko, or perhaps Oblivionis, trying to convince us to believe? Who is "Uika"?
Our introduction to this character was not a Sumimi scene, or her consoling someone, or a frame of her smiling, or of her expressing her love for music. It was this.

This creepy, disturbing montage of Doloris, covered in blood, inviting someone into her cult. Inviting you into her cult. Inviting you to dig deeper.
Though if you want to go even further back, I would argue our first, true genuine introduction was Black Birthday itself.
You see, I don't believe there's any true and correct way to interpret Ave Mujica's songs. The songs are whatever you make of them. That's part of the insanity of Ave Mujica; of never having a proper answer, of always wanting to dig deeper. So I won't say this is that correct reading, but rather one of the infinite possibilities. That said, after watching the intermissions from their concerts as we currently know them, I can't help but feel their first 6 songs perfectly tell the story of Doloris. It goes something like this:
Black Birthday: Doloris' rebirth into her true self. The dyeing of one's purity into corruption. Finally being able to see what was once unseeable (perhaps the light in the pitch black darkness, which she discusses a lot in their stage plays). It's a disturbing birthday party welcoming the new her.
The Two Moons ~Deep Into the Forest~: Now reborn, she finds herself lost in a forest. The play sequence in the last episode of It's MyGO feels reminiscent to this song; Doloris straying into a forest (Loft Moon), while Oblivionis ridicules her, and yet she's so beautiful she cannot take her eyes off her despite the pain of having her heart torn asunder. The song even has imagery describing candles lit on a table, which we can see in the anime rendition of this scene.
Choir 'S' Choir: She's slowly giving in to the insanity of Ave Mujica. This song reminds me a lot of Perdere Omnia; when she finally stops her denial and begins to understand why the others wish to destroy the world. She's letting herself become an esquire, a fallen angel if you will. She hears voices screaming at her, and she knows she's being hunted down, but she keeps dancing anyway. She's testing out her new abilities.
God, You're a Fool: This song represents her inner doubts. What exactly are they fighting for? For whose sake? Why do they have to be in this situation to begin with? If God wasn't a fool, surely everything would be fine... right?
Mas?uerade Rhapsody Re?uest: She's decided she no longer cares about anything. No longer cares how corrupted she becomes, no longer cares to hide her dark feelings. She's just going to fully embrace it all, she's going to let herself be taken by the shadowy jesters. The mask is a part of her now.
Ave Mujica: With her mask as her skin, it's her turn to lure others in. She's going to corrupt you. She reassures you that those with masks will fulfill your any wish, and that even though this is a place of no return, don't worry, there's nothing to be scared of.
It's interesting, because while the songs can apply to anyone (the other dolls for one, and perhaps even the listeners themselves), I can't ignore the parallels between the story these songs are telling, and the story of Doloris as we've seen in the concert intermissions. (Regarding the Utopia single and the ELEMENTS series, those songs were written more to fit a specific narrative, and I don't think they apply to the dolls themselves as directly. That's just my own personal take on them though and is why I won't be analyzing them here)
As for the intermissions themselves, there's a lot going on in them and much of Doloris' dialogue isn't about herself, but I want to go over some general observations:
Doloris uses ć (boku). This is significant because she's the only one who has a personal pronoun that differs from her actress; Uika uses ç§(watashi). Ave Mujica songs use ç§ (watashi) as well, though I don't think this means much in the context of Uika or Doloris because it's just for formality (if anything, it's interesting because it's an inverse of Uika's narrative opposite, Tomori; who uses ç§ (watashi) in her daily speech but ć (boku) in her songs). That said, in Quaerere Lumina, there's a segment where "Doloris" switches to ç§ (watashi), which many found haunting because it almost felt as if those words came from Uika herself, and that she switched back to Doloris after speaking vulnerable words from her heart.
She uses ć (kimi; "you") in an interesting way. In Perdere Omnia, this referred to Oblivionis. In Veritas, however, she uses this repeatedly in the context of "someone" who she wants to be reborn with. It's someone who extended a hand to her, and who took her mask off her. It's someone she wants to be with for the rest of her life, just the two of them. And at the end, she uses it in reference to you, the audience, who will surely attend their next concert. Who is it that removed her mask? Oblivionis, or us? (Like many things in Ave Mujica, my own interpretation on this is that it's probably Oblivionis, because at its core, this is a yuri band, and Oblivionis is in fact someone who we've seen accept Doloris for who she is)
Each doll has a specific thing they focus on: Oblivionis stands her ground despite everything but also talks about finding things pitiful, Timoris is logical and an observer who wants to be acknowledged, Amoris talks about her lost love and boredom, Mortis talks about peace and quiet as well as the beauty in death. For Doloris, the thing she highlights that the others don't is us watching her slowly spiral into insanity, and particularly as of Veritas, her sense of her own body (as well as this attachment to someone else, as mentioned above). She sees herself as an empty shell, which is true for the others as well, but on top of this she has a fixation on her mask and the relationship it has with her body. It's her skin, and simultaneously, if you remove it, below that you'll find her true, perhaps ugly self. It means a lot to her that someone could love the her that exists without the mask. (Is this intended to be foreshadowing for the relationship between Doloris and Uika, and which of the two of them is her truest self?)
Doloris is an embodiment of insecurity, and simultaneously, she's a ferocious monster when she performs. Rico Sasaki herself claims that she feels like Doloris possesses her when they hold concerts. Her voice is cold, bitter and pained; it's a far cry from Uika's speaking voice, which is so warm and comforting. She is plagued with sorrow, of which she would rather die and be reborn than have to deal with. Her ideal world is simply one of being together with the one who accepts her in all of her ugliness.
Uika
There's a sort of trend to Uika's scenes: when she's around someone else, she waits for them to talk or express emotion before she matches their energy, and when she's alone, she drops the happy idol facade. The very first time we ever see her, she's doing just this.
This is also apparent in two other (coincidentally Sumimi) scenes, where the same thing happens in each: Uika is matching the energy of who she's talking to, but the second she's separated from them by a door, she has an almost empty expression on her face.
(The fact this has happened for both Sumimi scenes, when Uika has so little screentime so every second we see of her is supposed to be precious, has me really wondering just how much she likes her "dream job." Also, I wonder if this is a coincidence: immediately after both of these shots, she looks at her phone and sees Sakiko on her screen which cheers her up (the first is an old text, the second is a phone call))
It's something that on its own feels a bit deliberate, but when you take a certain intermission from their concerts into consideration, it really does become something you can't ignore.
This is the one part of the concert intermissions in which Doloris uses ç§ (watashi). This is what many interpret to be Uika's words.
To put this simply, she feels as if she's an empty shell who has to match the energy of the people around her. When nobody is there to give her something to react to, she reverts to that husk. This is exactly the vibe I get from a lot of her scenes in the anime.
(I talked in depth about these two scenes in my Taki&Uika writeup so please do check that out for my thoughts on them, but to recap for this context: it's interesting to me how she looks so "empty" until she reads Sakiko's message (and feels seen by her, thus breaking her out of that state; I also want to mention she never messaged Sakiko first despite having her phone number, which to me is such an explicit example of her feeling like she doesn't exist unless someone else contacts her first that you may as well have a bright red arrow pointing at it), and on the right we can see her matching Sakiko's energy)
And actually, she almost implies as much to Mana directly.
"It's easy for me to sing when I'm with you, Mana-chan." On the surface, this just seems like something she's saying to make her excitable partner happy, to show agreement even though she's exhausted and not nearly as excited as she is. Mana reacts, calling it a compliment. But is it really? Her wording here is deliberate: she can only sing well because she's with her. Because she's being seen by someone else. Watching all of their scenes, I can't shake the feeling that Uika would not "shine" as an idol without Mana by her side. Immediately before this, Mana's happily waving and thanking the filming crew while Uika gives them a more heartless nod. Uika's appeal as an idol is that she's "cool" (this is written on her character bio), so it's not that I would expect her to match Mana's energy in that sense (who's appeal is her energy)... but I do wonder what she would be like in this context without Mana, given she already seems rather tense even with her. (Here's an easily missable clip of her sighing the second she's alone)
What about her comforting Tomori? Surely that was the one scene where she was acting of her own emotions? And what about when she talked to her in the final episode? It's not as if she was matching Tomori's energy 1:1! She reached out to her on her own!
And maybe that's true. However, consider this: that happened after she got Sakiko back in her life. Is an empty husk still just a shell if the one who's there to look at herâand bring her to lifeâis by her side now?
Let's take a closer look at these scenes though, shall we?
The planetarium. Uika was there to look at the stars, which are reflective of her childhood memories with Sakiko. Then, she finds Tomori, who she recognizes as being from Crychic (because she attended their concert a year ago). I could believe it if she sat next to her because Tomori looked upset; Tomori has subtle facial expressions yes, but it's pretty obvious when she's hurt. She decides to sit next to her, but her seat won't recline (I've seen people point out that she's been there before, so she surely would have known how to put the seat down; I think this is very funny and could be true, though I do want to point out Tomori said "this seat works like this" and Uika was sitting in a different seat than we saw in episode 8 anyway). Tomori helps her and they make indescribable eye contact briefly before they go back to watching the stars.
Then she kept an eye on her when they left and caught her on the stairs. Pretty standard stuff. From the get-go though, she was matching Tomori's energy. This is really subtle and more obvious in motion, but when she's asking if Tomori's okay, Tomori's head dips down twice, and each time Tomori's head dips, Uika's dips down a second or two later to match her.
If it was just once, I wouldn't think anything of it, but twice? Why is she studying her reaction this closely to the point of replicating it?
Then this happens, and I'll just leave my commentary from a year ago because it still applies:
Uika stares at Tomori and the Crychic photo that she saw on their social media comes to mind. She focuses in on Sakiko and Tomori... but moreso Sakiko. This kind of goes under the radar as it comes across as her bringing up stars because she knows it's something Tomori clearly likes and thus could be a bridge of conversation between them, so to speak, but I can't shake the fact that thinking about Sakiko was what prompted her to start talking about the stars she can see in Tokyo. Sakiko, who she was separated from for so long and who she was only able to reunite with in Tokyo.
(As a side note before I continue, this conversation makes me wonder how familiar she is with Tokyo. I'm not well-versed in Japan's geography nor do we really know anything about Uika's personal life, but I do know she lived on an island as a kid because she says Sakiko visited her island. It's also her chat icon)
Another easily missable detail, but when she picks up Tomori's notes, she waits a second for Tomori to give "consent" (via eye contact) before she continues talking. I'll also just mention here that I do think Uika meant what she said about singing being something that conveys someone's heart, and I feel like this was the most honest she was in the entire show.
Moving on to the episode 13 confrontation. I'll be honest, this whole interaction is very weird and as I'm typing up this post I'm still not sure what to make of a lot of it.
Once again, Uika is in the planetarium, this time in the same seat she was in for episode 8 before she met up with Sakiko (starting to see a theme here). Then she spots Tomori and grabs her shoulder, calling her Tomori-chan. Tomori seems confused so she checks that it really is "Tomori" and says they met there before. She does the same thing she did in episode 10 where when Tomori shifts her head, she shifts hers too while she's talking to her.
I like this shot because it feels like she instantly goes into "handsome" mode when she realizes this girl is a fan of "Sumimi's Uika."
This is where this interaction gets weird, because Tomori says she doesn't know who Uika is, and Uika responds with... "I'm glad she doesn't." Huh? Even Anon herself says "Huh?" out loud here. I could not possibly give you an explanation for why Uika would be "glad" that Tomori doesn't know who she is. Why is she trying to get close with her if she doesn't care that Tomori doesn't know her?
Then she asks if Tomori's song worked and Tomori says yes. It still feels like she's trying to gauge her feelings (but for what?). Then she claims she doesn't know Tomori, they just "met at the planetarium before." Anon seems pretty weirded out still. Then she changes the subject and asks if the two of them are in a band. When Anon shows her her phone, which has all the band members listed, she stares at it for a second before asking if she can follow.
(Anon's face being cut off here is interesting to me given this is from Uika's point of view, and really what could be so interesting in that photo?)
The length in which she stares at it makes me think this is likely how she learned MyGO exists, though I can't really piece together what she gets out of this aside from knowing what band Tomori is in. Then she asks if she can follow them and leaves. The whole interaction feels so pointless yet so deliberate: we didn't get closure on Taki's character arc in this episode, but we got this scene of Uika following MyGO's social media account? I'll be interested in seeing how this is relevant later on.
Oh, and the most important part of this scene: Tomori never told Uika her name. Anon is visibly weirded out by this. Of course, this scene is also followed by another shot of Uika not having to match anyone's energy, looking stern as she seems to whenever she's by herself. (She's looking at Crychic's social media page and commenting on how Tomori is from Sakiko's old band, by the way; how did she pull that up so fast? She just sat down?)
Uika and Tomori are narrative opposites. The director for the anime stated that Uika is her polar opposite in every regard. Ricochi also pointed out that while Tomori's songs turn her human, Uika's turn her into a monster. Their episode 10 confrontation was intended to be them meeting before the Ave Mujica ball gets rolling, so to speak, in order to allow them to contrast greater when the sequel comes out.
In general, what I make of Uika's cheerfulness is it's reflective of something Ricochi said in regards to Ave Mujica as a whole: like the moon, she can't shine on her own, but when others look at her, a light glistens from her. It almost makes me wonder if she wanted to become an idol in order to, like she said in her introduction clip with Mana, "make others feel better too" with her songs, at an attempt to mask the fact she can't shine when she's alone herself.
Those are the biggest points I wanted to articulate, so below I'll drop some other observations.
Regarding the flashback scene of Uika and Sakiko as kids... Uika is blushing here when Sakiko is not.
Normally I wouldn't think anything of this, because that's just how the models are (for instance, Sakiko's casual clothes model seems to always have the blush regardless of her mood, while Oblivionis of course doesn't; Uika's model also doesn't have a constant blush), but this scene was hand drawn. It's more deliberate. I don't want to insinuate that this implies Uika cares more about Sakiko than Sakiko cares about Uika because I don't think that's what they meant here at all, just that these specific memories may hold different meaning to Uika than they do for Sakiko. Perhaps more importantly though (and even less obvious) is that Uika's hair looks longer in the shot of them looking at the stars than it was for their meeting and the bug catching. It makes you wonder how much time may have passed between those two memories. (I do recognize this may have just been a continuity error of sorts, but she is wearing a different outfit too)
In Sakiko's conversation to Nyamu, she hints that she got Uika for her band because of Sumimi's popularity. This is interesting to me because in episode 7, she absolutely... glares? at the Sumimi music video.
...Which makes you wonder how she really felt looking at it. In any case, I don't think it was just for the fame because you don't exactly call somebody and tell them to help you forget everything if it's just for the money. That's a pretty intimate thing to ask somebody, and especially for Sakiko who up until then had been actively avoiding speaking anything from her heart. We also know that Uika does the lyrics for Ave Mujica, so we can truly only make guesses as to what transpired between their talk and the final episode...
Oh, also, when Sakiko calls Uika, she blushes. Which feels pretty notable to me when seconds beforehand she was in "cool, kind of broody idol" mode.
As for the last episode...
When Nyamu asks if she can go to Uika's place, she says yes! It makes you wonder how close she is with everyone by this point, and also what her home life looks like.
This one is sold on the voice work, but she sounds super happy to get to see Sakiko.
This also happens at the end of the episode, when she asks if she can ride the train home with Sakiko despite the fact she got there in a cab. I wrote my thoughts about this here, but it is interesting to me how it implies she might not know about Sakiko's home life at this point.
For this line, it's not lost on me how similar this dialogue is in reflection to what Doloris says in their stage play immediately after; with Oblivionis talking about them being dolls, and Doloris questioning her every word. It's as if she'd turned into Doloris the second she put her mask on...
Tying it all together
What's striking to me is that in all the trailers for the Ave Mujica animeâwhich by all means will be where we learn more about Uikaâwe've only seen one shot of her.
The rest have been Doloris. From this we can presume that the doll lore from their concerts will be relevant to the actresses, we just don't know to what extent.
It's scary really, because... seriously, even if Uika does feel like an empty shell, there's more to it than just that. And despite all of my analysis up until this point, I have not a single clue what her actual deal could be. Even after I post this, I'll continue to watch her scenes over and over, trying to piece things together with what little we have right now.
I'll be very interested to see both Doloris and Uika in the upcoming anime, and in what ways the lines between them are blurred.

Thoughts on elaborate Period Rituals

Okay.
so weâve talked about this in travnation obviously but for those who do not know (literally everyone else) i really want periods to become a significant part of the wilderness cult and the rituals the yellowjackets partake in â specifically in the sense of their periods syncing up: shared blood and shared womanhood.
now. i want to talk about how this pertains to travis.
weâre going to analyze this from the assumption that travis is becoming a woman through her integration into the cult. i will give a full analysis on transfem travis if people are interested but for this weâre just gonna go off that assumption so i can delve deeper into the period aspect of it specifically.
travis has always had this sort of fixation on periods. i noticed this recently â in blood hive she plays it off as disgust but itâs not, really, if you examine the way she talks about it.
her response to natâs teasing âare you scared of our menses?â remark is anxiety â she replies with a nervous âwell i didnât say that.â
the truth is â or, at least, how i read it is â that she is. but itâs not in the way you might think. sheâs not disturbed, or disgusted, or intimidated by the girlsâ menstrual cycles. sheâs fascinated. sheâs intrigued. sheâs, in some way, jealous of this bond the other girls have, this connection they have with each other through the blood of their womanhood.
i think she wants in on it.
fast forward to qui, when shaunaâs having her baby â who is the first to suggest the ritual to keep her safe? who is the first to spill blood, the first to bleed upon the altar of shaunaâs womanhood and say, âwe hear the wilderness and it hears usâ? travis.
travis is the one who slices a knife across her palm, spilling her own blood as shauna bleeds next to her. i think shauna and travis are very connected in an often overlooked way â and i can talk about this, too, if anyone would like to hear it â and i think it is very apparent in this moment, in the intersection of their coming of ages, of their coming into womanhood.
shauna is giving birth. this is what is culturally and societally seen as the peak of womanhood, the fulfillment of a womanâs true purpose. next to her, travis is willfully shedding the first of her blood, the first step a girl takes into becoming a woman.
i would argue this moment is travisâs metaphorical first period.
now, thereâs a subversion of the expectations of a woman going into labor here. shauna loses her baby. she doesnât give birth to life, but to death. shauna is losing her cultural womanhood in this moment. sheâs losing her connections to her life before the wilderness; sheâs becoming less of a person dependent on others (on jackie, on jeff, on her baby) and more of a woman who belongs to the wilderness.
travis is going through a similar event. she has lost her father. she believes herself to have lost javi (though really that comes later). her only significant relationships now are nat and lottie â two opposing female forces in her life. sheâs already given herself to them (edible complex sex scene â check out this analysis by @the-lonelyshepherd), but now she must fully give herself to womanhood, to the wilderness, to shauna.
thatâs whatâs going on in that scene.
now, to conclude, i believe this spilling-of-blood-as-travisâs-period thing is going to continue into season three and get more intense as it goes on â or, at least, i would like for it to. i think the spilling of specifically travisâs blood is important to the way these rituals are structured â she gives blood when shauna is giving birth. javiâs blood is hers and heâs the one the wilderness chooses. i think the other girls are going to become aware of this. i think travisâs blood is going to keep getting spilt.
and sheâs going to spill it herself.

Oh, lord. Here We Go Again... Fred & Angie's Relationship (and touching on the unhealthy state of George & Angie's relationship)

So, here's the thing.
The simple fact that a woman marries her ex-boyfriend's identical twin is deeply disturbing on so many levels and points toward some unresolved, possibly deeply buried issues and emotions.
(Btw, if you haven't read my in-depth ramble on this, you may want to check it out. It will give you a deeper understanding of why I so strongly feel the way I do about this matter.
Oh and then there's this little tidbit.)

Okay. Carrying on.
We know next to nothing about Fred and Angie's relationship.
We know they went to the Yule Ball together and had a great time.
We also know they dated for some unknown amount of time afterward.
That's IT. That's all we know.
And it leaves us with quite a few unanswered questions.
In particular, how long did their relationship last. And, perhaps more importantly, how deep did it run?
"Everybody questions the length of Fred and Angie's relationship. But they never wonder about how intense it was. Short but passionate/intense relationships are a thing. And they tend to leave a deep, indelible mark."
Just because a relationship didn't last a long time (define that however you see fit) doesn't mean that it didn't mean anything. Sometimes those are the relationships that define us and set the standard for those to come. Especially, if they're our first.
And I think it goes without saying that when these relationships end, it can be just as traumatic and heartbreaking as if it had been a long-term relationship. Especially in the terms of "unfinished business" for one or both parties.
Is that what happened with Fred and Angie?
We don't know. But I seriously doubt their time together meant nothing.
So that begs the question, why?
Why George?
Of all the eligible guys out there, Angie goes for her ex-boyfriend's identical twin brother. (Is this one of those cases where a person only dates people who look like the ex they never truly got over?)
...you know, we talk constantly about how George felt like he lost half of himself when Fred died (a very common, if not, the most common phenomenon among surviving twins).
But we never talk about what it means that the woman who dated the lost half chose to marry the half that remained.
Maybe we should.

YEAH today I'm gonna talk about my trollsona.(and show some arts i did lately
These 2 are the most safe and without ANY TYPE OF ANGST RELATED SO THEY FIRST. tw for some topics like: overdose, drug abuse, MAYBE hypersexuality. idk just wild disturbed girls and glitch images
Tepesu is a very dubious young woman with a very flexible personality, specifically because her lusus is a snake, which taught her to always have different attitudes and personalities depending on who she interacts with, valuing the greatest advantage and benefit in certain situations. With her close friends she can be an extremely sweet and funny girl, but she can also act very provocative and reckless with others. Normally, she maintains a persona of a disinterested and mysterious girl, for the sake of the interest of laymen. She also uses a lot of sexual appeal to deceive others (she also learned from her lusus, which shows that it has a BIG impact on Tepesu's education and character, since she has a habit of studying poisons to prevent infections).
Going deeper into this issue, she also learned a lot about how the troll body works for her own benefit. She has often created different types of medicine for her own protection, and occasionally, she uses it to heal others (yes, she inherited that from the Healer). At first it seems like just a silly interest, but she takes this quesrion of studying the troll body very seriously. Because biology and knowledge of the race itself is VERY precarious, her way of studying is through practice (she is quite hardcore and discovered how the reproductive system works in the sus way đ). She is quite crazy about these topics and has even killed a purpleblood to study anatomy (in addition to having stolen his blood and heart to perform her classic surgery and confirm whether or not it is possible to change the color of one's own blood. Spoiler: yes).
Honestly, all of her worrying attitudes are a reflection of her lusus's fucked up character, who taught her to live based on experience, making her go to extremes for stupid things (this also reflected in her intense personality and the development of her disorder, which made her really frustrated and attempt suicide ALMOST weekly). Her lusus is also not that great of a father and spends almost all of his time away, so there was no one to supervise her and say that "telling your friend to make a paraplegic suffer everything she suffered" is wrong.
A large part of the shit she does is all the fault of her disorder, which she treated as a simple illness until she had a chat with Rose and simply discovered that the name of this shit is borderline personality disorder. It affects her a lot, so much so that she has the habit of trying to die of overdose, taking her medicines to get better and a little bit of sopor (because it gives her the same effects as LSD). She always goes off for 1 week when she tries something, and usually blocks Gamzee during her breakdowns (most of them always happen because she keeps thinking about how lonely, fucked up, disgusting she is, and how he will never like her because of that. Or she simply starts to hate him because he supposedly doesn't care about her no matter how much she tries so hard to be super cute and adorable). Fun fact: she broke her own horn on purpose during a breakdown.
Her relationship with Gamzee is healthy, but Tepesu still goes crazy because she SWEARS that he only sees her as a colleague, which is not true because he also considers her a lot. In truth, the two treat each other in the cutest way possible, but Tepesu is really fucked up and never tries to confess her feelings to him (because the two are very close, so they know almost everything about each other. So she knows about Gamzee's mini crush on Tavros, and avoids confessing her feelings because she's sure she'll be rejected). Even more so because of this issue, Tepesu is another bitch who manipulates Tavros, but she doesn't show that she wants to see him dead like Vriska. She feels the PUREEST disdain and disgust for him, because she's FUCKING jealous. She never tries anything directly and always leaves the mission to Vriska, saying a bunch of atrocities for her to test(poor tav).
I mostly draw her with that silly :/ face but I ALWAYS FORGET THAT DEEP DOWN SHES KIND OF COMPLEX(even more than myself...) ALSO about her changing her own blood color, in some "old pics" like when shes around 13/14 shes mostly related to the indigo caste(bc her blood still wasnt totally purple). BUUUT around 15/16 her blood becomes TOTALLY purple(for example the 4th pic where her tears are purple, also her blood running from her nose).

Yeah!! Another Vast Oc for the pile!!
Hoo boy where do I start with Gracie. I think she'd have always been a bit obsessed with the space and the ocean as a kid, and become an avatar after nearly drowning on a open ocean diving trip with her parents. She went a bit too deep (fell into a Vast area) and ran out of oxygen, but was just like "eh, worse ways to die. I'll admire the ocean in my final moments" and kinda just, accepted the Vast. Idk how to really put it. It kinda filled a longing in her, a void in her soul that yearned for the endless expanses and infinite blues I think is the best way to say it.
Overall she's pretty carefree, and just uses her powers to chill in the void and/or infinite sky, while occasionally throwing some poor dude into the Vast. I think her favorite would be scaring divers by just chilling underwater in normal clothes way deeper than people should be, or doing the same thing to astronauts but that doesn't really get to happen that often. One time Simon Fairchild got to a victim before her and she still holds a grudge. (She uses his money to pay for uni and other assorted things as 'payback')
Physically when she's not using her powers her hair moves in the air slightly more than normal, almost floating, and her eyes are a very light blue. She also usually wears hoodies/ comfy clothes. When she is using her powers her eyes can shift from an almost glowing bright blue to an endlessly deep blue, like deep space or the depths, and her hair whips around like its in intense wind. Being around her kinda feels like when you're in between sleeping and awake and youre just starting to dream, but then it feels like you trip and you jerk awake, but constantly.
She also has a girlfriend! Her name is Jackie and she's an avatar of the web. They met in high school after Gracie came back from her trip. Jackie was already an avatar and decided to help show her the ropes. They started dating after they started university, which is coincidentally how they got involved with the archives. They needed to get some statements for a project (and bother Elias) and it snowballed into them hanging around and being cryptic at Jon and the others.
Jackie usually keeps her hair up, with one side of her head shaved, and a pink streak in the other. Her eyes are a really deep brown, and when she uses her powers they shift to a bright red. She can also open 6 other eyes, or form more arms, as well as being able to create/ see the threads that connect others and manipulate them. While Gracie is a bit ambivalent towards feeding her fear, seeing it more as a necessity to keep the powers that make her 'whole", Jackie enjoys creating fear and toying with others, even when she doesn't really need to.
Overall I'd say they're rather attached to humanity, and were pretty disturbed by the whole Eyepocalypse, and they definitely tried to help Jon and Martin undo everything. (Although I will say Jackie probably had a little more fun with the whole thing, and Gracie probably didn't hate every part of it soooo).
After the Eyepocalypse they lost their powers and kept a low profile during what I'd imagine would be avatar hunts (if the Simon Fairchild comment was anything to go by), before starting a YouTube channel to boost their image. Jackie is the face and Gracie is the camera and nothing ever goes wrong. They for sure never try and film at a place suuuper connected to the Fears like, say, Hilltop Road, and they for sure don't get pulled into an alternate dimension. No siree!
There's probably a lot more rattling around in my brain about those two, but I think those are the broad strokes. I also realized I've done a shockingly small amount of digital art of the two, so I guess I'll just put what I can scrounge around under the read more because this post is pretty long already :p

Fluff one-shot x gn!readerâ only warning is angst (2.6k)

After months of endless nagging you finally convinced Laughing Jack to let you visit his amusement park. He had claimed it was too scary and you would get creeped out but you werenât one to take no for an answer.
Giving you a piece of candy so the trans-dementional trip wouldnât be too hard on you. Tasting the sour lemon taffy he gave you and making a tense face as the flavor pulled at your taste buds and stuck to your teeth.
Your head getting dizzy as your surroundings warped and his room became red and white vertical stripes. Blinking a couple times as he leaned into your face, âare you alright?â
âIâm fine!â You told him, almost falling back at how close he was. As soon as your perception adjusted you looked for the exit to the tent you were inside. âOnward!â You said excited, marching comedically to the entrance flap.
âThis isnât exactly the safest placeâ, he called from behind, catching up with ease because his legs were so long. âYou need to stay close to me at all timesâ you smiled at him, itâs not like you were complaining, âgot that?â
Giving him a keen nod you stepped out of the grand tent. Squinting at the sky, which was tainted a dusty gray, swirly clouds amber of scattered around in the background. The carnival was beautifully revolting, with littered attractions as far as the eye could see.
The place looked somewhat abandoned, if you get past the faint cries of children, from their souls stored in toys. Rides that once colored a vibrant red had paint chipped, specks of dull metal flaked over the bars.
Game stands broken down and leaning unsteadily, disturbing toys with eyes and limbs missing hanging from the top. It looked like it might fall down at any minute, but you couldnât help but notice the newer looking boxes of supplies lying around next to the stands.
Fairy lights hung from the tilted signs, decorating the food court. A fresh trail had been made between the rides.
It warmed your heart that he had made subtle efforts to fix the place up, he certainly didnât think you would notice.
Looking back at his nervous smile, Jack was terrified you would hate the place. You thought all but the opposite, giving him a big grin. Your expression relaxed him, assuring him that you wouldnât think he was a freak and leave. His whole demeanor shifting, making him more comfortable and even enthusiastic.
Straightening out and giving you jazz hands, âwhat are you waiting for?â putting one hand on his hip to motion you to the park with the other âlets go have fun!â
Following behind you with a giggle as you approached the carnival games. The ring toss looking somewhat appealing in between the other activities, so you told him you wanted to play.
âBasically you get 5 rings, if you get at least 3 in the pins you win a prizeâ he explained.
âAlright alright lemme tryâ you waved him off, snatching the rings and giving one a toss. It missed, you brushed it off. The second one made it in and Jack gave a little cheer, it still wasnât enough.
Hyperfocusing on the pin in the middle make a soft throw upward, the edge hitting the top of the pin and falling to the side. You gave a groan, calculating your last two throws.
Your forth throw made the pin to the side, and you only had one more try left. Aiming for another pin at the side to release, the ring clanging against it and falling to the floor.
You went to look at Jack with a frown but he wore a happy expression, âyou won!â He exclaimed. Confused you turned back, finding the ring you had just tossed around the last pin. You were completely certain you had missed it, racking your mind for an explanation as jack handed you a small purple bunny that was missing an arm.
Realizing that Jack had manipulating the game so you could win, throwing him a knowing glance. He just happened to be looking away, whistling guiltily.
Squeezing the bunny you moved onto the next game, it was ballon dart toss. The stand had pale red and black balloons scattered across a board. Excitement was written all over his face, you cocked an eyebrow in question.
âItâs a two person game!â He said, âwhoever pops more balloons wins!â
He handed you four darts and kept four for himself, âyou can go firstâ he motioned with a grin. Pacing the dart in two fingers a couple times before throwing at a balloon. Giving a groan when you missed and waiting for him to go.
Being as skilled as he was he managed to land one in a bullseye. âOh itâs onâ you dared, getting one point yourself. LJ got the second one too, staring at you intensely as you evened out the score.
Giving him a small smile as the dart broke the surface of the balloon with a sharp noise âpop goes the weasel right?â You laughed, referring to his famous song.
He looked at you almost in shock, taken aback by your joke. Shaking himself into reality he broke out in a light blush, a part of him touched, as if you were accepting him for who he was.
Too distracted by your eyes on him to play the game with concentration. Missing the third one with a growl he waited for you to take your turn, which you lost. It was the last point and Jack was a shoe in, so obviously he took the victory.
You were happy for him, passing along a âgood job!â as he retrieved the big brown teddy bear that was half his size, and all of yours. It was missing an eye, thin stands of makeshift fur pulled out and a silky red bow around itâs neck.
âHereâ he said, dangling it in front of you.
âFor me?â You asked, âbut you wonâ, trying to look up at him but the bear blocked most of your view, only letting you see above his nose.
âJust take itâ he practically pushed it into you, making you blow out an oof.
Holding it to the side at the torso with one hand you broke out in a grin âthank you for the plushieâ you said, hugging him from the side and squeezing his torso âbut I want you to be my teddyâ you laughed. He looked incredibly flustered, frozen as you broke away.
âYouâre big and tallâ you tippy toed up to give his shoulder pad feathers a ruffle âand fluffyâ
The man looked like he was about to faint so you decided to knock it off, laughing and telling him you wanted to go on the carousel next. Quickly, LJ happily led you too it, skipping in front of you (mostly to hide his blush).
Standing at the controls to cue a round, watching you walk around to find a pretty horse. Given, all of them had dark spots and chipped paint, but they worked all the same. Leaving the bear on another horse and climbing onto a white one that had a yellow saddle, intricate lacy designs patterned on the sides. Royal blue reigns across itâs chest and a lion on a crest.
It was beautiful, and you traced your fingers on the drawing. It must have been stunning, but the weathering of time and agony had gotten to it. A painful reminder of what was, a mere reflection of the chipping away of a joyful being.
Prying away from your thoughts as you felt the vibrations of Jack stepping onto the walkway- with one of his big smiles. Even after everything, he still wore a smile. It made you want to tear up, he really needed all the love he could get.
He was too tall to get on a horse, so he just stood by you. His big hand gracing the golden pole and holding on, watching as you peeked up at him. Even though his eyes were constantly bright he displayed somethingâŠdeeper. It was a sort of shine, a sparkle if you will, luminosity glazed over in such a way that one can only get lost in its vastness.
The looped music in the background was secondary as you rose up and down with the horse, giving Jack a little smile and thanking him for bringing you here. âIâm having a lot of fun with youâ you noted.
âWell of course you are! Itâs a carnivalâ he said with joy.
âNo I mean with youâ you clarified âyouâre pretty great Jackâ. This time he didnât avoid your gaze, his mouth open slightly, not knowing how to react to the sincerity of the compliment.
The ride slowly came to a stop, and you were feeling slightly tingly. Maybe it was the air, or the loss of focus. âHow about a roller coaster?â You dared, to which he gave a tense face.
âThose are pretty broken, youâll probably die riding one and thatâs not what we wantâ he said, stepping off the carousel. âHow about some cotton candy instead?â
You nodded your head vigorously, following him in the pursuit for the fairy floss, the bear falling behind forgotten. Passing by more unused rides that had long past rusted and a house of mirrors to get to the food court.
Jack humming happily as he dipped a paper cone into the bowl of revolving fibers of sugar. Whipping up a swirly pink and blue cotton candy and handing it to you with a proud smile.
He went to make another treat until you spoke, âIâm not that hungry so we can shareâ you proposed. âIf you wantâ
âAre you sure?â He asked, concerned that you didnât have much appetite. âDo you want some candy or maybe a funnel cake?â
You shook him off, taking a bite out of the cloud-like dessert. It was absolutely delicious, honeyed and saccharine on your tongue in a blend of flavor you had never tasted had before.
Soft as it disintegrated onto your mouth, leaving behind a remanence of something too sweet. Bringing it up to Jack, who was so tall you had to extend your arm fully to get it to his mouth.
He simply laughed at your struggle, taking a bite before giving you a thin smile and taking it from your hand. Sitting down at a bench so that you could both share comfortably.
By the time the candy had finished you noticed little bits of the silky texture stuck on his nose. Painfully stifling a laugh you turned away.
âWhatâs so funny?â He asked with a genuine smile.
When you didnât answer his tone changed, âwhatâs so funny huh?â he sounded a bit angered.
Hiccuping through your laughter you faced him, leaning in real close to his face, enough so that you could feel the heat emanating from it; taking a bite of the pink woven candy on his nose and holding it in your teeth.
His face went red at the sight, embarrassed that he had cotton candy on his nose. Well, that and for a moment he thought you were going to kiss him.
Noticing your hands were all sticky you asked him if there was a sink somewhere. After both of you washed your hands you sat back down at the bench.
The sky was going dark, the poofs of dusty cloud fading in with the night but still managing to remain visible. You heard a whirr as Jack turned on all the rides at the carnival, lighting the whole thing up.
You sat in awe, a mere spectator in the empty yet live amusement park. Admiring the music that added to the ambiance, watching Jack approach you.
âWanna take a walk?â He asked, but there was somethingâŠoff. LJ seemed nervous as you got up and walked next to him.
He had been thinking about it for a while now, probably even before he brought you to the carnival. Even though he had washed the gooey candy from his hands they were still sticky, but it was from sweat. Giving you side glances as you paced the trail with him.
Debating to himself whether or not he should do it, if you would hate him for it. Telling himself that he would regret it if he didnât, but thinking about the potential negative reactions you could give.
Passing the carousel once again as you noticed the usually loud and happy clown was silent, lost in thought as he stared into the distance, his lips forming a tensing line.
Wondering if he was ok, but brining up the topic might make him uneasy. Perhaps you being there at his haunted amusement park was ticking him off, or if you taking that cotton floss off his nose was too much, or if you were pushing your luck, or worse what if you triggered hi-
All thoughts faded from your mind the moment you felt a slow, shaky hand grasp onto yours. You had to look to where he held you because he was so gentile you thought it was the wind. Holding onto you softly enough that it felt like a feather, somehow still creating a little pocket of warmth between you.
A glowing thump of heat pulsing inside your chest, happiness digging into your cells and giving you the confidence to squeeze his hand.
He let out a sharp inhale at the feel, still avoiding your gaze as he relaxed into your touch. Not daring to move his hand too much or he might risk ruining the moment, afraid of hurting you with his claws.
Approaching the Ferris wheel he finally spoke, âthis is probably the one ride that wonât breakâ, not a peep about holding you. âDo you want to go on?â
You finally caught his gaze, absolutely melting at the smile in his eyes. Responding with a âyesâ and letting him open the door for you. Sustaining his grip with you as he helped you on, not letting go even after you sat.
The cart wasnât exactly small, but with a guy the size of Jack it was pretty compacted. Itâs not like you minded, the lack of space gave you an excuse to bunch up alongside him. The feathers from his pads tickling your face as you rested on him.
Watching the view as the cart took you higher and higher, it was perfect. The evening set in the rich obscurity of the night, lights of the festival blinking as if they had a life of their own. The bulbs on the stands making zâs as they illuminated the red and white drapes of the far off tents.
Jack held your hand with such care and caress, you gave him a reassuring press to let him know it was ok. He was so enveloped with the passionate act that he squeezed as well. Letting you feel all the dips and curves of his hand. Clutching onto you, as if you might disappear too.
Facing him to cup his cheek with your free hand, caressing him and tucking a stand of hair behind his ear. Trailing your thumb across his skin and feeling him lean into your touch, swearing that between the lines on the pad of your finger there was a tear that you had wiped away.
Getting lost in the breaths you shared as you inched closer to his lips, giving him a second of warmth longer to prove that you werenât going anywhere.
