My Top 10 Favorite Songs of All Time - 2006 Edition
2021 Editor’s Note: I was looking through some old files and found this thing that I wrote sometime in the summer of 2006 at age 22. For all I know, it could’ve been 15 years to the day! Looking back, I’m not sure how many of these songs would still make my top 10. Don’t get me wrong, I still love all of these tunes, but I’m sure you know how it goes - You get older, you get exposed to more things, and your idea of good music expands. Anyway, I thought it might be nice to share with anyone who still uses this site. I present it in its original format without edits to my writing. I ended up writing full posts in this blog about some of these songs if you go through the archive.
Stu’s Top 10 Favorite Songs…Ever
Let’s start with some honorable mentions. These were so close, and I thought about it for so long, but they had to be left off.
Honorable Mentions
All Summer Long – The Beach Boys
All Summer Long. 1964. Capitol
This song has been described so many times as being “the perfect summer song.” When you listen to it, you can’t help but smile from the opening marimba intro, all the way through. It just screams “summer” and it hurt me to leave The Beach Boys off my top 10.
Bleed American – Jimmy Eat World
Bleed American. 2001. Grand Royal
So full of energy, so rocking, and so what would’ve been the most recent song on my list. I wanted to keep it in the top 10 just so I could have a song from the ‘00s, but it wasn’t meant to be. When the chorus kicks in, I can’t help but headbang.
Marie – Randy Newman
Good Old Boys. 1974. Reprise
Randy has said that a lot of young composers pick “Marie” as their favorite Newman song, and I can see why. The idea of a guy having to be drunk to tell his wife that he loves her is pretty funny, and throughout the whole song it’s just the beautiful melody with tons of strings, all to a tune about a guy ripping on himself as he comes home drunk to his wife.
Does He Love You? – Rilo Kiley
More Adventurous. 2004. Brute/Beaute
I guess this is newer than Bleed American, so it would’ve worked too. This is another more recent song that it killed me to leave off the list. The outro is an arrangement of the main tune with a different chord progression performed by a string quartet. Very beautiful. Also when Jenny Lewis screams “Your husband will never leave you, he will never leave you for me,” I get chills every time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So here it is. After a long day’s work, I’m finally finished. It actually turned out much different than I was thinking when I first started. The number one wasn’t really even in my top five when I started, but I slowly realized I loved it so much. I also left Ben Folds (Five) off this list completely, and I don’t know, I just feel the whole catalogue of Ben is so solid, none of the songs stick out to me that much. But anyways, here it is! After the break of course…
Stu’s Top 10
10.
(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave – Martha and the Vandellas
Heat Wave. 1963. Motown.
This one beat out “Bleed American” just barely. The reason being that somehow, despite being nearly 40 years older than Bleed American, it still has so much energy that it kills. Dan Bukvich once told our Jazz Arranging class that you can boil all the oldies you hear on the radio down to three categories: 1) Great Song. 2) Great Performance. 3) Great Arrangement. This song is one of the great performances. The handclaps throughout, combined with the driving baritone sax behind everything and constant snare drum action will keep anybody with blood running through their veins dancing all night long.
9.
Bodhisattva – Steely Dan
Countdown to Ecstasy. 1973. MCA
This song is my Freebird. It’s just a basic blues progression song at its core with some minor changes at the end of the form. The real kicker that drives this song home is the three minute guitar solo in the middle that isn’t nearly as rocking as Freebird, but it is highly proficient and takes me to places that just make me want to play the song over and over again. I have no idea what this song is about, probably Buddhism, but hey, this once again proves that lyrics rarely matter and the music itself is the core.
8.
Zanzibar – Billy Joel
52nd Street. 1978. Columbia
This song reminds me of long car rides on vacations down the west coast with my parents growing up. They used to play a tape of 52nd Street, or at least their favorite selections, constantly on these trips. I didn’t hear this song again until early in my senior year in college and remembered why I loved it so much. The song has a heavy jazz influence, displayed in the breakdown where Jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard does a solo. The best part of this song though is at the end of the 4th line of each verse, Billy does this “Woah oh oh!” thing that just makes me want to sing every time. It was between this and “Miami 2017 (Lights Go Out On Broadway)” which is also a great song, but the “Woah oh oh!” is too much for ol’ Stu boy.
7.
Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) – Bruce Springsteen
The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle. 1973. Columbia
Early Bruce Springsteen records have something that very few other artists can ever pull off without sounding cheesy or forced. It has this undeniable sense of urgency, like the world will fall apart and life will crumble through your fingers if this one moment in time doesn’t work out the way Bruce describes it. There are so many early Springsteen songs that just set a scene of “We have to get out of this town right now girl before it kills us, no matter what any of our parents, friends, anybody has to say.” There’s a line that kinda sums it up: “Well hold on tight, stay up all night ‘cause Rosie I’m comin’ on strong. By the time we meet the morning light, I will hold you in my arms. I know a pretty little place in southern California down San Diego way. There’s a little café where they play guitars all night and all day. You can hear ‘em in the back room strummin’, so hold tight baby ‘cause don’t you know daddy’s comin’.”
6.
I’ve Got You Under My Skin – Frank Sinatra
Songs For Swingin’ Lovers! 1956. Capitol
This song falls into the category of great arrangement. This Cole Porter classic tune was arranged for Sinatra by Nelson Riddle. The story goes that he was still copying down parts for the players while riding in the cab to the recording studio on the day of recording. After the players ran through it once with Frank, they stood up and applauded. The Baritone sax takes control here, outlining a Db6/9 chord throughout the intro. Of course, Frank’s vocal delivery is spot on and goes up and down in all the right places for the biggest emotion impact. It’s amazing how a song with no real chorus can be so good.
5.
A Change Is Gonna Come – Sam Cooke
Ain’t That Good News. 1964. RCA Victor
This song was not even going to be on this list, but then I ran across it while scouring my collection of music and remembered how good it was. Then I listened to it and was blown away by the level of detail that went into this arrangement. Sam’s vocals soar above the mind blowingly beautiful arrangement. The lyrics to this one actually add to the tune itself, speaking of wrongdoings in the world around him, and how social change is on its way in the form of the civil rights movement. The song flows with such ease out of Cooke that one might forget the weightiness of the content, but the song’s content is just so heavy that it’s impossible to deny it.
4.
Whatever – Oasis
Whatever EP. 1994. Creation
This song was released as a Christmas present to the U.K. from the Gallagher brothers and company. It never appeared on any full album, only being released as a single, and amazingly, it blows away anything else they’ve ever done. Think “All You Need Is Love,” but with tons of rocking energy and a snide, nonchalant attitude. The chorus speaks, “I’m free to be whatever I, whatever I choose and I’ll sing the blues if I want. I’m free to be whatever I, whatever I like, if it’s wrong or right, it’s alright.” Not exactly poetry, and the song isn’t exactly breaking any new ground either, but the song is absolutely perfect in every way, and it was going to be my #1, but perhaps the only reason it’s not at number one is because I’ve played this song so many times that at the moment, these next three are beating it, but who knows how I’ll feel in a few months. This song also pulls the same “outro performed by a string quartet” thing as “Does He Love You?” but even better. It’s so simple, but I can’t get enough of it.
3.
Mr. Blue Sky – Electric Light Orchestra
Out of the Blue. 1977. Jet
This is obviously the best Beatles song that the Beatles never wrote. The staccato guitar during the verse combined with the strings present in just about every ELO song combine to make a force that is undeniably catchy and musically challenging at the same time. This is really what makes ELO so good. I didn’t discover this song till probably Nov. 2005, and it was one of the best days of my life. I didn’t want to include two songs by the same artist in my top 10, but if I did, I probably would’ve added “Turn To Stone” on this list too because it is almost as awesome as this one. It’s a shame that just like Billy Joel, most critics at the time hated ELO for being overly creative musically (they called it pretentiousness). These days we have acts that really are pretentious (see Radiohead), but everyone loves them, even critics. I’m not knocking all Radiohead, just most everything post OK Computer. Sorry, got a little sidetracked there.
2.
Only In Dreams – Weezer
Weezer. 1994. Geffen
This has been my favorite Weezer song since about a month into me picking up Weezer’s debut album back around early 2000. It has this ostinato (a repeated motif over and over again) in the bass throughout most of the whole song, never even really resolving to the Gb major chord (excluding chorus, which never really resolves) that it wants to until the end of a 3 minute contrapuntal guitar duet when everything dies out except the bass which just retards on its own until it finally plays the single Gb we’ve all been waiting for. The song on the whole up until the guitar duet is pretty tame, but once those contrapuntal guitar lines start intertwining, my ears perk up every time. I can sing both lines at separate times upon request and when the drums finally kick back in fully at the climax of the song, I let out a sigh of relief or bang on my car wheel in exultant joy, whichever is more of an option at the time.
1.
All Is Forgiven – Jellyfish
Spilt Milk. 1993. Charisma
I always loved this song from the first time I heard it, but I didn’t realize how much I loved it until maybe April 2006. I found out about Jellyfish first semester of college in the Fall of ’02 and heard this song, and knew it was great. The constant tom-tom driven drums, the fuzzy, almost white noise distorted guitar, and the half time bass throughout. It was great. Then in April I put it on my mp3 player for the walk to school, and then I listened to it for about two weeks straight. Seriously. It runs into the next song entitled “Russian Hill” which is almost as good, but because it’s a separate song, I couldn’t include it on the list, but in my mind, they always run together and are basically one long 9 minute song. The ending just gets more and more white noise filled until you can barely take it anymore and then it just cuts off completely into the slow acoustic intro for Russian Hill. It’s perfect in every way. I think this would fall into the category of great song. And the way the song builds up right to the middle of the song and then cuts out completely except for some very VERY faint xylophone noodling, and then busts back in with some feedback directly into guitar solo. Man I love this song.

Hey, friend. I’m sorry that I haven’t messaged you in so long. The New Year has brought a lot more schoolwork, but I’m getting through it. I’m sorry that life might not be the best right now, but you’re taking it one day at a time, and I want you to know how proud of you I am. I hope you have a good Valentine’s Day, and that you get all the chocolate! I love you! <3 (This is the song that plays later on – https://open.spotify.com/track/55KKzF53NXeY7neYbd8wz5 ) Word Count: 2,035 ~~~~~ You were in the backseat of the Impala listening to Dean’s favorite mixtape. It kind of sucked that you had to spend Valentine’s Day on a hunt, but that was the nature of the job. So you just sat back and tried to lose yourself to the oh-so romantic ACDC blasting through the speakers.
By the time you got to the small town in southern Idaho, it was starting to get late. You checked into the motel, and of course there was only one room what with all of the couples making use of their discounted rates. But you were able to get the room farthest from the front desk and were able to get somewhat settled before the first disturbance.
Dean had graciously taken the floor, stealing a couple pillows from his brother, and taking a blanket from the Impala before turning in for the night. Sam went and got tucked in and you saw him bristle at the noise. Dean smirked but remained quiet.
As the night wore on, the sounds continued and you were getting frustrated. You sighed and stuck a pillow over your head. You tossed and turned on the bed, but were getting nowhere. You knew you were going to regret not getting any sleep, especially since this was a supposed vampire hunt.
Sighing, you got up and grabbed the motel key, scribbled a little note for the boys, grabbed your jacket, and went for a walk. The wind blew slightly as you trekked down the abandoned street. You looked at all the quiet houses, and imagined the people who lived there and what this holiday had in store for them.
You wandered around the town for about an hour when you heard a sound behind you. Your instincts kicked in and you kept walking, pretending that you were none-the-wiser while reaching into your pocket for your hidden angel blade.
You turned a corner and stuck to the building, waiting for the person to follow. When they came around the corner you rose the blade to their neck and said, “Slowly move into the light.” They did as you ordered and you realized it was only Cas.
“Jesus, you scared the crap out of me,” you said, dropping the blade. “What the hell are you doing here?” you asked.
“You were not asleep, so I thought that you could use some company. I’ll go if you wish.” He looked a little sad at the thought, and you patted his arm gently, trying to reassure him.
“No, you don’t have to go. I would really like the company, but you should have just come out and said you were here instead of tailing me.” You grabbed his hand and pulled him along as you started walking again, not letting go of him.
“Well, you were walking quite fast, so I had a little trouble keeping up,” he looked a little sheepish, and you couldn’t help but smile at him.
You two walked in silence for a bit until a thought came into your mind. “Wait, Cas, what are you doing here? I thought you were handling that case in Montana.”
It was his turn to smile at you, “I couldn’t let my girl spend Valentines alone now, could I?” He smirked down at you and your smile grew. You squeezed his hand and continued to walk for another hour, talking intermittently about this and that.
You finally made your way back to the motel and saw Cas’s car parked next to the Impala. You pulled him into the room and took off your jacket before getting settled in the bed. Cas climbed in next to you and wrapped his arms around you.
Soon enough you were asleep, but in the blink of an eye you were being awoken by the smell of breakfast. You moved to stretch, but found yourself restricted by the adorable angel of Thursday. He seemed to be dozing slightly, and you felt bad for waking him up, but decided to do it in the best way.
You started smooching the celestial being all over his face and he grumbled something unintelligible. You continued peppering him with kisses until he kissed you back. You pulled back and looked at him lovingly, and were about to be really cheesy, until Dean cleared his throat.
Your cheeks turned red, but you whispered those three little words to Cas and kissed him one final time before throwing the covers off of you and grabbing your Fed outfit to get dressed in. After getting ready you returned to find most of the breakfast gone, but the boys saved you some toast and a donut.
You ate fairly quickly and were ready to get investigating before the end of the hour. Since Cas had finished his case, he wanted to stay and help. The four of you split up, Sam with Cas and you with Dean. Admittedly, you were a little sad to not be paired with your boyfriend, but you knew that it could affect the case so you headed off to examine the crime scenes with the older Winchester.
The locations of the attacks were all over the place, and you were having trouble connecting them, but after a few witness interviews you realized that a cursed object was the more likely culprit for the murders.
You rendezvoused with Sam and Cas who confirmed your theory when they told you that the bodies had no external wounds that could be used to drain their blood. You all decided to get lunch and discuss your options on how to track and find the cursed object.
You decided that Sam and Dean would go and ask around some more to see if the locals knew anything else, and you and Cas were to go and research back at the motel room. When you got back to the room you booted up Sam’s laptop and started digging, while Cas just sat in the chair next to you.
You were concentrated on the page in front of you, and were taking notes about the different ingredients you would need for certain locating spells that might work. You were soon distracted by Cas grabbing your legs and resting them on his lap.
You glanced at him and he smirked at you as he started rubbing your feet with your socks still on. You smiled at him, and giggled a bit when his hand ghosted over a sensitive part of your foot. As you got settled back into research Cas started glancing around the room.
You found a spell you recognized and you called Sam and Dean to see how they were coming on their interviews. They got a couple leads on where it could be and were on their way to look into them further, you asked them to see what ingredients they had in the trunk and were unsurprised to hear they were pretty much empty.
You scolded them for not keeping the trunk stocked, and Dean replied with, “You know how much I hate those hippy-hipster herb douchebags. I avoid restocking at all costs,” as if that was a perfectly good answer.
You sighed and said you were going to go with Cas a couple towns over to get the elements of the spell. The drive was comfortable, with the radio on and playing those classic love songs. By the time you got to the shop you were in a pretty good mood.
When you stepped into the store, that mood sank like lead. The store gave off the uncomfortable vibe of pretentious mixed with the naïve stupidity of the college kid who was standing behind the desk. You could feel his eyes on you as you moved through the store looking for the things you needed.
You could feel Cas bristling as the cashier continued to stare at you. You weren’t happy to be at the store, but were grateful that Cas was with you. You placed a comforting hand on his arm, and gave him a look. He just shrugged a bit, but you smirked slightly seeing how protective he was.
You hooked your arm around his elbow and dragged him along as you grabbed the right herbs. You then made your way up to the counter. The cashier, whose nametag titled him ‘Joe’, looked a bit taken aback that you were now attached to Cas. You placed your items on the surface and started asking about the ingredients that hadn’t seen on the shelves.
Joe grabbed a few things from behind the counter and you unhooked your arm to grab your wallet. After you paid for your items, you grabbed the bag, and Cas’s hand, before making your way towards the door.
You were about halfway there when Cas stopped you, dipped you, and kissed you deeply. You were rendered breathless by the action. Cas smirked at your stunned face and helped you to stand again. When you still just stood there looking at him, he pointed to the ceiling in confusion, “Isn’t that mistletoe? I know it’s no longer Christmas, but I thought that the tradition was followed year round.”
You knew that wasn’t the case, but you just smiled at him again and finally dragged him through the door. You also made a quick stop at an antique store to get a nice sealable box and some paint from a craft store so you had a safe storage container. You called Sam and Dean and let them know that you got everything you needed to find and hold the cursed object.
You reconvened at the motel room and Sam performed the ritual. You discovered that the object was an old dishrag. Everyone was thrown that that such a common object could be turned into such a dangerous tool of chaos.
You painted the protective sigils on the box, and Cas did a little enochian spell just to ensure that the box wouldn’t be opened again once the curse was contained. Then Sam and Dean headed out to save the rest of the town from a threatening towel.
You started packing after they left, trying to get your duffel bag in some semblance of order before you had to leave. You heard a snap from behind you and a calm guitar melody started playing from the radio. You turned to Cas and saw the smile on his face. He held out a hand and you took it before he spun you into his arms.
As the lyrics started up you couldn’t stop smiling at the romantic celestial. He swayed you back and forth, with one hand on your waist and the other holding your own. He sang along with the chorus, as you danced, and you could feel the weight behind his words.
Being an angel, Castiel didn’t have a lot of experience with love, but since meeting the Winchesters he was learning. And although he had vocalized those three little words, he was never sure if you knew the sincerity behind his words, so he decided to say it in a new way.
And as you danced together, you really understood how deeply Cas felt about you. You knew that he liked you, but this showed how much thought he put into your relationship and your stomach still fluttered at the thought.
You leaned up and placed a gentle kiss on his lips as the song started to slow down. He kissed you back and whispered, “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
“Yes, it definitely is,” you stated, pulling him in for another kiss. As the next song started up, you continued to dance, and only stopped when you heard the Impala pull up outside the room. You slowly pulled away, but grabbed Cas’s hands in your own.
Life could be hectic, especially in the kind of life you lived, but you got through it. You just had to take the time to cherish the little moments. And although they could come few and far between, that didn’t make them any less special. You rode back to the bunker with Cas and just enjoyed being with him. You didn’t know what the future held, but you were ready to face it, together.
Omg this is so cute! I hope you don’t mind me posting this one because it’s so adorable. Thank you so much friend <3 I love youuuu

Movie News 07/23/17
Hello Everyone, and welcome back to your Movie News Email.
Each week we count down the top 5 box office hits of the weekend, and bring you the news that we have learned from the past week.
This week we find out if "Spider-Man: Homecoming" was able to recapture the top spot (as I predicted that it would. Man, I hope I'm right. I hate being wr......), we have some more news from D23, and we have some news coming out of San Diego Comic Con. All this coming at you this week. Enjoy.
First off, we sadly have to add an "In Memorium" segment to this week's edition.
John Heard, the man known mostly for his role as the father in the "Home Alone" movies has passed away at the age of 71. John's other main role was that of a corrupt detective in "The Sopranos".
John was found dead at a California hotel where he was staying while recovering from a recent back surgery. No cause of death has been reported at this time.
Rest Well, John.
OK, to the box office. We had 3 new movies hit the theatres this week, and, surprisingly, all three hit the top 5. Well, that knocks one of my predictions out. Let's see who took the number one spot.
We start at number 5, and the first of our debut films. I expected this one to hit the top 5, but I wasn't sure where it would land as I said this has the potential to be a new cult classic.
"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets took in just over 17 million dollars to take the first spot of our list. A little disappointing for the film, but it really wasn't promoted as much as I thought it should have been.
One of our members was going to see the film. Hopefully we will get a review for next week's edition.
Taking the number 4 position is last week's number one movie. "War For the Planet of the Apes" pulling in 20.4 million dollars, could not hold the top spot. (As predicted)
At number 3 we have "Spider-Man: Homecoming". (Damn, I was wr...-Not right.) Spidey took in another 22.1 million dollars to bring it's domestic gross over 251 million. It will still be interesting to see what happens to it over the next couple of weeks.
At number 2, is the second of our debut films, and another not right prediction on my part. I thought this film would not hit the top 5, but Queen Latifah's "Girl Trip" pulled in an impressive 30.3 million dollars and very handily snagged the number two position. (Oh well, can't pick them all. Congrats to the cast and crew)
And our new number one movie is one that I hoped would make the top 5, but am also a little surprised to see it hit number one, but I am glad it did.
The WWII historical drama from Christopher Nolan, "Dunkirk" easily took the number one position with 50.5 million dollars.
This one, I want to see. I may not get a chance until it comes out on DVD, but it is one I will see.
If anyone has seen this one, or any of the other new releases, please let me know. I would love to hear what you thought of it.
So that's what happened this past weekend. What's coming out next week?
Well, we have two movies opening in major markets next weekend. And to be honest, I have no clue what they are going to do. I suspect both will debut in the top 5, but I am not sure where they are going to land.
First up is the animated movie based on those little pictures we all (Or most of us) use in our texting. "The Emoji Movie" stars the voices of Patrick Stewart, James Corden, Jennifer Coolidge, and Jake T. Austin.
The second of our new movies is "Atomic Blonde" and stars Charlize Theron and James McAvoy and is being touted as the first female James Bond.
I have seen trailers for both movies and I have to be honest. Neither one excites me to go and pay $10.00 to see them, let alone $17.50 to see them in an IMAX theatre.
But if anyone gets to one of these and likes them, let me know. I have been wr.... Not right a lot this week. What's another couple times.
So let's get to the news, and we have quite a bit to cover. So let's not waste any time.
Here is what we have heard so far coming out of SDCC.
FX's "Legion" creator, Noah Hawley confirmed that he is developing a movie for Fox centered around the Fantastic Four's number one villain, Doctor Doom. The movie will not have the Fantastic Four in it, however.
Marvel's "Ant Man and the Wasp" added a new name to the project. Janet Van Dyne, wife of Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, will be played by none other than Michelle Pfeiffer.
DC now as the next movie slated after "Aquaman", and it is "Shazam". David F Sandberg will direct. It was expected that either "The Flash" or the Joss Whedon "Batgirl" would be the next up, but since they are still in early development, it was decided that "Shazam" be next. Shooting is expected to start in 2018 for a 2019 release.
DC has also revealed it's lineup of movies as well. No dates attached to them yet, but here is what they said is up and coming. It starts with Justice League, Aquaman, then Shazam. After that it's "Suicide Squad 2", "The Batman", "Justice League Dark", "Batgirl", Green Lantern Corps", "The Flash: Flashpoint", and finally "Wonder Woman 2". No word on "Gotham City Sirens", nor "Nightwing", but don't give up on them. They're coming
Hot off the heels of "Shazam", we have a couple of release dates from DC now. They are:
Feb 14 2020
June 5 2020
Now we don't know which movies are going to take those two spots, but more than likely it will be "Suicide Squad 2" and "The Batman"
And who is going to play "The Batman"? Well, Ben Affleck answered that question at SDCC. He is. Period. That pretty much puts those rumors to rest.
In a Facebook post, Todd McFarlane is writing and directing a new verson of "Spawn". McFarlane created the character as his flagship title for the "Image" comic book company which he started. In the 1990's, McFarlane became the biggest name in comics art and storytelling with his work on Marvel's "Amazing Spider-Man, and the spinoff series "Spider-Man".
The Russo Brothers have announced that production has wrapped on the "Avengers: Infinity War". The movie now moves into post production where voice overs, special effects, music, and editing takes over and cleans up the movie.
Well, this next bit of news isn't movie related, but it is Star Wars related and it is just too cool not to talk about.
Now we all know that Disney is creating a Star Wars land as part of the parks in both Florida and California. Well, at D23 they named it. "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge". This will be a totally immersive experience. When you enter the land, you are entering into the world of Star Wars. You will first meet the rebels in a forested area, then as you enter the city, you will interact with the First Order, as well as bounty Hunters. While in the park, what you decide has consequences. One area you get to pilot a ship similar to the Millennium Falcon. If you don't fly it well, the boss will not be happy, and when you go into one of the cantinas, you may find you have a bounty on you for damaging the ship.
And the hotel resort that resides in the park will be completely Star Wars related. All employees will be in character 100% of the time. You check in, possibly get a costume, and interact with the role playing characters working there.
It is set up to be in the style of being on a spaceship, so when you get to your room, you do not look out over the park, you have a screen that shows you being in space. And from what I understand, you get to see yourself lifting off from the docking bay and going into space.
It's a two night stay, and a price tag of $1000.00 per person. (I take donations, by the way).
"Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" will span over 14 acres of land and is targeted for a 2019 opening. Who's going?
And coming out of SDCC, have we got a toy for you. Well, maybe not for you, but for the kids. From Radio Flyer, the makers of the metal red wagon, comes an actual scaled down replica of Luke's landspeeder. Now this isn't a pedal car, but a motorized vehicle, similar to the Power Wheels. Not available yet, but I am sure it will be before Christmas. (When are they going to build one for adults???)
Whew!!! Enough for you for this week. Yeah, I think so too. More and more information is coming out of SDCC, and will continue to do so all week long, and we will bring that news to you as we learn more of it. But look for more trailers for "Black Panther", "Thor: Ragnarok", "Justice League", "The Inhumans", "Ready Player One", and many more to surface. I have seen a few of these, and they look fantastic. It's going to be a lot of fun.
So that's it for this week. A big thanks to everyone who has given me their thoughts on movies they have seen, or news they have heard.
I hope you had a good time reading this and enjoyed it.
