Maybe I’m okay with it if Hirano never traditionally “loves” Kagi. Or anyone. Maybe it never will turn into the same kind of love Kagi feels. Kagi is nevertheless such a source of inspiration and strength and comfort to Hirano. Even if he never feels a desire to touch or get married or whatever. Maybe he does it because Kagi asks and he loves making Kagi happy most of all. He wouldn’t seek it if not asked. But Kagi is always asking. And he knows it makes Kagi happy. Does anyone see the vision. Do you understand. Maybe kagi will be okay with it if Hirano never “loves” him the same way Kagi loves him. Because he knows how Hirano works and he knows how Hirano cares. And he knows he is unique to Hirano. He knows Hirano wouldn’t do these things with anyone else. And that’s still love in its own way.

I love learning ASL it’s so good. Makes me happy to learn it. I’m so glad my university has classes for it with professors actually steeped in Deaf culture.
#blue chatter#am I good at ASL? hahahahahahaha. no.#ASL and English grammar are incredibly different and even when I remember my vocab I am easily clockable as hearing#but I do have some language capacity now. enough to communicate the basics.#and I just. genuinely really enjoy it. it’s fun to learn and engaging in a way most of my classes just aren’t.#and I can. yanno. communicate respectfully w Deaf ppl. and learn about their culture#which is incredibly important given that I want to go into a field where there is a higher incidence than typical of Deaf people#autistic? you’re more likely to be Deaf!#not to mention the fact that sign language can sometimes be a useful alternative to speech for nonspeaking/nonverbal people#depending on the person obvi; some nonspeaking/nonverbal autistics cannot use sign language and that’s okay#but surely at some point I will encounter either a Deaf client or a nonspeaking/nonverbal client who uses ASL#and when that time comes I should have some idea of how to communicate with them#I also rly like the Deaf church by my parents’ house#their community is really welcoming and their services are really interesting#I think it’s rly cool how they take intentions directly from the congregation#they’ll raise their hands and then sign what their intention is from their pew to the ambo#which is rly neat#it is funny bc every time I go the Deaf ppl I talk to will tell each other ‘go slow she’s hearing’#which is ENTIRELY fair bc. I am hearing. and I do need them to go slower.#but it also makes me laugh bc truly everyone knows within a few minutes.#oh hey the new person? they’re hearing. yeah they’re learning ASL at college. sign slowly for her.#which again makes sense bc a big Deaf culture thing is keeping ppl informed. it’s not gossip it’s getting everyone on the same page.#Deaf ppl do NOT beat around the bush that is like the height of rudeness to them. u say what u mean goshdangit. do not waste their time.#which I appreciate the heck out of bc i don’t have to try and phrase things delicately or w/e#it was also funny bc my mom came w me while I was home for Christmas and they asked her if I was her kid#and she said yes. and the lady running the kid’s craft corner thing was like ‘great you’re doing a craft now’#and I’m sitting there. visibly over 18 years old. amongst several seven year olds. trying desperately to figure out how to say hot glue gun#I made a v pretty pinecone tree it was a lot of fun ^-^

It is so incredible to be able to leave a situation, center and ground myself, and start recovering my energy, mental focus, and peace within minutes to an hour. What other people said or did wasn’t about me, I behaved well myself, I let things roll off as much as possible during the situation, and as soon as it was over I started doing nervous system first aid. What a difference living this way makes. Life is so much more peaceful when you actually protect boundaries, keep perspective, and care for yourself while properly in tune with your needs.
#right now I need slow breathing and Enya#yesterday I needed two hours straight of EDM and jump dancing#and I clocked BOTH of those things so my body and brain are much happier#I could’ve been burnt out and stressed and partly dissociated this weekend#but I’m NOT GONNA BE#and it was that simple. just knowing what to do and checking in with myself#frequently enough to know when I need it.#imagine if I learned how to do this in grade school!!! I’m so happy some kids get to grow up like this#and have the freedom and tools from their caregivers to actually do it right too#that number of kids is increasing every year and in a couple generations it’s gonna be a LOT#we’re so fucking lucky guys#we get to be alive at a real turning point in how humanity views and treats small humans#and how those small humans behave and live when they grow up#the world is going to become so much more beautiful#and it’s already pretty cool despite the unresolved anger and pain most of us currently live with#personal#trauma recovery

I hope that, in light of his increased popularity because of the movie, that Miguel O’Hara shows up in more Spider-Man media. Like, outside of the Spider-verse movie trilogy.
I see him a lot in his white suit on random merch, usually in the background, but amongst Peter and Miles. Sometimes with Gwen and Anya too.
Marvel has had no problem de-aging characters for media purposes before. Peter has been aged up n down all over the place, and even Tony Stark has been de-aged for a cartoon before, so it’d be cool to see a younger Miguel heroing alongside Miles n Peter.
I could see a teen Miguel getting trapped in the past due to some plot-related future shenanigans. The implication of how he obtained his spider half would be more horrific since he’s younger, but that can be alluded to and left to fanfiction if needed. (But is important to his character and shouldn’t be removed or diluted!)
I just wanna see a teen Miguel having some fun with Peter n Miles (while still being our favorite sarcastic ass).
#age-wise I could see Miguel being younger than Peter and older than Miles#would probably also help his image to show him more actively heroing since atsv hasn’t painted him in the best light to a lot of people#Miguel O’Hara is a hero too dammit#I was staring at my Spider-Man blanket a little too long while refusing to get out of bed this morning#Miguel’s white suit makes him look younger to me for some reason#not that he couldn’t be a teen his blue/black suit cause I’d love that too#it just so happens that most of the merch I see is him in his white suit amongst other teen/young adult Spiders#I’m kinda getting desperate for content#the fanfics have slowed to trickle and that makes me sad#I have like 3 plot ideas that I would like to write#but I’m not a writer#I’m begging to see fic updates#but I realize that most of these authors are probably in school and this have more important things to do#and I guess the hype died for a lot of people already#so I’ll probably have to wait til Beyond for another influx 😭#which is why I hope Miguel starts showing in other shows/movies/games to give variety and spark interest#morning thoughts#spiderman#miguel o'hara#spiderman 2099#I don’t have much work to do atm#can you tell? lol
