Hehe I get that, I am a forever garrence shipper bc it just makes more sense to me that they'd end up together instead of with aphmau, especially because I'm actually a fan of changing the narrative to show the bad stuff aphmau does as bad instead of brushing it off

Bc she does some bad stuff! She is absolutely not innocent of ,,any,, of her crimes but since she's the MC and also ACTUAL IRENE no one really says anything about it or teaches her to be better. They all just accept it and move on bc if they don't then they become an enemy to Aphmau and the PD alliance (which ive just realised spells PDA)

And yeah tbh I'd be the same way in aphmau's position (abt the love triangle), especially bc Garroth and Laurence (Laurence especially bc jesson think flirting must basically be harassment as we see with many characters- not even the women are safe!) are kind of pushy with their love.

Like laurence is the obvious example here, he is constantly flirting, doesn't really take no for an answer*, gets in her personal space, gets jealous and violent over other men being the same way, etc etc. he also has a couple scenes where he makes it seem like aphmau doesn't really have a choice between the two** and that is freaky! I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I'm made to choose between two people and am punished if I pick outside of them or if I stay single. It's an uncomfortable situation and I'd be upset too, I'd tell them to fuck off but aphmau never really does.

*which is just such shit writing and not in his character, he has several serious scenes where he apologises and says that he won't do it again AND THEN DOES IT AGAIN

**example- the forest scene right after the arc above where he basically says "Garroth has to reveal his feelings or you're mine" which always threw me off bc he basically implies that they only reason she isn't "his" is bc Laurence is holding off for Garroth which is FUCKING GROSS! He does this several times too. Like "well you aren't taken so I'm basically entitled to your hand" is so creepy and I hate jesson cause they basically condone it with how many characters act the same. Mostly in mystreet but still. Grody.

Garroth is similar in a really vague way? With how he's written in some scenes he's more like,, (redditor voice) "wow, you didn't pick me? Leave then, they always do!" (Mostly after he escapes the Irene dimension, he acts like he's entitled to aphmau's attention and trust and he gets mean when she doesn't immediately listen to him). This does not include the betrayal arc right before season 1 ends bc he has reason to have acted that way. I don't remember where it's said but I think somewhere someone reveals that Garroth had just told Laurence how he felt and larbo said that he'd give Garroth a chance to reveal his feelings before he swooped in but then immediately afterwards Zane + co made a mirage of larbo and aph kissing. Awkward...

But other times Garroth gets mad over aph "letting men talk to her that way" ("that way" being flirting) and aph always brushes him off with a laugh and it kinda ends there. But sometimes like in the Irene dimension when Garroth is finally telling aph abt his feelings and kinda just going "I have to tell you in case i die or never see you again" (which actually?? Might have been her first kiss?? Bc first garbo in Irene dimension scene is before werewolf arc) it feels like there's this pressure on aph to,, basically say she loves him or crush his dreams and send him off to die. Which I don't think is Garroth's intention but yk. Kinda intense lmao

Do I think it's good that they are pressuring her into choosing one of them and getting upset when she doesn't? No! Do I think it's just toxic jesson writing? Yeah! Does it even feel in character for either of them? No! Nor is it consistent enough to make sense!

Am I interested in seeing someone write it into their versions of Garroth and Laurence as a genuine flaw they have and have it be denounced, worked on, or turned into a new way to view them?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Personally I'd rather rework it because it doesn't seem in character for how I write them but I'd like to see someone take the characters as they are with everything they say and write them having consequences or feelings of guilt or even NO guilt about it!!! If you can work it into their characters and make it make sense or at least be consistent in the character then PLEASE!!!

Before we start trigger warning for like, child abuse and torture and shit. Seriously this gets dark. Zane redemption must come at a price >:D

So. Something interesting to me in regards to Zane is how in MCD, He's like, this evil, terrible human being, but in Mystreet, he's like, a semi functional human being who can be a NOT bad person and NOT do bad things. And so I got to thinking.

I don't think Zane was born a bad person.

Personally, I kind of hate the way Jess wrote Zane. Like, yes, evil for the sake of evil is great and all, but like. In season one and two, Zane was this overarching antagonist who was always one step ahead of the cast and plotting and having a good time being a paice of shit.

And then season 3 comes around and now he's a shadow knight, on the run, has PTSD...

Look, I'm not knocking the guy for having PTSD. I'm just saying that the way it's portrayed kind of makes him seem like a whimpery coward. AGAIN, NOT KNOCKING PTSD!!

I think the position that Zane found himself in season 3 was a PERFECT set up for a redemption arc and it makes me SO MAD that it didn't happen.

So I guess I have to do it myself apparently -_-

I've been thinking a lot about Zane. I don't want him to stop being evil. Not right away. So we keep what happened in the first two seasons the same. He's a cackling maniac that has killed a shit ton of people and is on his father's payroll.

And then he dies.

(skill issue lol)

Anyway, Zane is dead. But he's also Zane, so of course he weasels his way out of being dead. And then he gets tortured and is subjected to the same suffering he condemned so many others to yada yada yada PTSD bleh.

Everything seems to be the same so far.

But then he breaks out if the nether. Still, we're on track, right?

He gets captured, he gets expedited to Phoenix Drop, he gets interrogated, it's all the same.

But here we find a canon divergence. Instead of being absolute dumbasses, they don't bring him into the nether. Let's scrap that plot point entirely.

Instead, we're going to let Zane bake in prison for a while!

Here are the main issues that make Zane irredeemable.

1. He's killed like, a shit ton of people, for funsies ig

2. He killed Vylad.

3. He destroyed Aaron's village.

Let's keep those things in mind.

So he's in prison. While in prison, Garroth starts to visit him (along with Travis but shhhh we'll get to him another day) and just. You know. Be angry.

Garroth has seen Zane as a spoiled brat his entire life. He's always been their father's favorite. He's always had everything handed to him on a silver platter. He's always been willing to do whatever it takes for power. He's greedy. He's psychotic. Garroth hates him.

But Zane is Garroth's brother. And Garroth is the type of golden retriever, gold hearted, kind type of character to still love his brother even if he hates him.

That doesn't mean he goes in and is like, nice to him though. Nope. Garroth goes to visit him and nine times out of ten it devolves into a screaming match where Zane antagonizes him the entire time and Garroth yells at him for being a shitty human being.

And then one day Phoenix Drop is attacked and Zane escapes.

They track him down eventually. When they find him, they strike a deal with him. Due to Irene related shenanigans they need his expertise as a scholar of Irene to figure out some more stuff for Aphmau. In exchange, they'll protect him from the Shadow Lord (who he pissed off by stealing one of his soul fragments lol Zane behavior).

Eventually they're able to establish a rapore with Zane. Garroth still gets a migraine whenever they have a conversation. Vylad still refuses to speak to him (oh btw he's visiting from his nether revolution vacation just so u know) and Aphmau still wants to tear out his guts for killing the love of her life or whatever, but he becomes manageable. They can like, stand him. A little bit. Slightly.

And then Zianna gets kidnapped or whatever. So they go rescue her. But when they get back to Phoenix Drop they forget to mention the fact that Zane is like. There and in the wild and not currently killing entire villages worth of people.

So Zianna rolls up to Phoenix Drop and gets jumpscared by her youngest son and also, notably, Zane is NOT happy to see her. He shuts the front door in her face. It's hilarious even though Garroth doesn't think of it that way.

So, now we have our key players all in one place. Garroth, Vylad, Zane, and Zianna.

Let's say they have to all go find an artifact toghether or something and they need Zianna there because it's related to something she knows and they need Zane there because of Irene lore reasons. they go on this mission. One day, they sit and set up for the night, set up bedrolls, whatever. They're lounging around the fire and talking when Vylad eventually mentions his time as a shadow knight in the nether and something about torture.

Zane blinks, and, having not been included in the conversation initially, buts it to say,

"Oh, please. Don't tell me getting tortured by those amatures was DISTRESSING for you. I would have thought father's methods would have given you thicker skin."

The others bristle and start scolding him, of course, because Zane is like, the reason Vylad became a shadow knight in the first place. But Vylad himself, who is very observant and hard to antagonize, latches into something Zane said.

"Methods? What methods?" He says. He says it sharply, too.

Of course, Zane doesn't pick up on this. He just rolls his eyes.

"Don't tell me you forgot. Father had a whole floor dedicated to torture and loved collecting new methods from around the region. I think he even had a historian employed who would research for him..."

"What?" Garroth says, stunned out of his anger.

Zianna has gone silent. So has everyone else, and now they're watching with baited breaths.

"So what? What would that have to do with me?"

And for the first time that they've ever seen, Zane looks... Puzzled.

"What, did he go easy on you? Didn't you talk back to him all the time? Once, after just asking him a question, he had two of my nails pulled. Shadow Knight torture was child's play in comparison," he shrugs, then takes a bite out of his stale price of bread.

There's silence.

Zane looks back at all of them, confused and now kind of pissed off. He looks like he usually does when he feels like he's about to be scolded for saying something crass. Except, that's not what happens. Instead, Vylad looks him in the eye for the first time since Zane killed him, and with the most emotion they've ever heard from him, says,

"What?"

Zane hums.

"Come on. Don't play dumb. He hated you. Im sure he must have sent you to the "torture basement" at least once. You got on his nerves constantly,"

Garroth makes an aborted movement, like he's going to stand up and rush him, but Vylad stops him with a flick of his hand. And then Vylad starts doing what he does best. Interrogating him.

So remember that list, right? Let's reframe a few things.

Zane was not the favorite child. Garroth was.

Garte was a paice of shit. Garte hated Vylad. But he also hates Zane. Why wouldn't he? Vylad was his wife's affair child, sure, but Zane, Zane was Zianna's spitting image.

When Zane was little, he used to take snails and out them in the grass after it rained. He uses to clamor for his mother's pastries just like his brothers. He was a normal child, and he was NOT born a psychopath.

But Garte had a thought, one day.

Wouldn't it be funny... If he made his wife think he WAS one?

Wouldn't it be funny to punish her that way? Wouldn't it be funny to turn Zane into a terrible person, and have her think it was for no reason? Make her think that she birthed a psychopath? How much would it hurt her? How much would she weep?

Garte used to punish Zane for Vylad's joy. One of Vylad's laughs would equal one slap to the face. One side remark in defence of their mother would equal one hour locked in his father's study closet in his office.

Garte turns Zane against himself brothers. And the best part in his mind?

He makes Zane believe that they know about all of it.

He tells Zane that his mother knows about it. That his brothers don't care that he's beaten. That Vylad does things so he gets punished on purpose.

Zane grows up thinking that his brothers probably go through this too. He grows up thinking that his mother just doesn't love him. And so he doesn't say a thing.

Garte starts having him tortured instead of superficially physically abused? He says nothing.

Garte makes him become a priest of Okasis even though the consequence of failing the academy is death? He says nothing.

Garte would encourage Zane to blugeon animals to death and bring them to Zianna and laugh at her horrified face from afar. Garte encourages Zane to say psychotic things while they're eating dinner, and watches as his family becomes more and more convinced Zane is a monster.

Until Zane is one.

But this reframes a few things.

The people Zane killed? It was under orders. He eventually became his father's right hand man. Most of his overarching goals have been in service of his father.

For Aaron's village, we'll stick a pin in that one, but long story short, Aaron's village had been planning a coup that night under his wife's orders. Zane had them killed under his father's orders so they could eliminate them as political neighbors. He let Aaron live out of pity.

And Vylad.

Basically, remember when I said that Garte used to punish Zane according to Vylad's actions?

One day, Vylad gets into an explosive argument with Garte defending Zianna. And Garte, again, without the other's knowing, has Zane tortured. Except this time it's for a WEEK STRAIGHT.

So when Zane gets out. He's. Very unstable.

And then he comes across Vylad in a semi secluded area.

And Vylad is acting like he did nothing, and all he's ever done is make Zane suffer, and Zane hates him hates him HATES HIM--

And so he snaps. And he kills him.

Keep in mind, though, Zane thinks this is all normal. He doesn't realize that killing his own brother has traumatized him. He doesn't realize that he's a victim of abuse. He doesn't realize that what his dad did is not okay because he THINKS HIS FAMILY KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED, and if they didn't contradict his abuse, then this must be normal. He thinks that Vylad has probably been tortured too. He thinks Garroth is their father's favorite because in his mind he's determined that Garroth not receiving any attention from their father is a GOOD thing because ATTENTION EQUALS TORTURE to him.

And this reframes a few things. His constant bid for power? It's not greed, it's DESPERATION. Power makes him feel safe. Hurting others makes him feel powerful because that's how his father had power over him.

His highly volatile and violent personality? It's l he's ever known. Do you have ANY idea what torture could do to a child? He has severe PTSD. Like, severe and repressed and his outburst are more common when he's uncomfortable or anxious or experiencing any negative emotion, which is often.

Garte took Zane's empathy from him. Turned him against his family. Made him into a monster. With these types of characters, I imagine it would probably be very difficult for them to redevelop their emotions and empathy because if they do that, they would have to face their whole mountain of trauma and the guilt of all the lives they've ruined.

I think eventually, after a lot of work, Zane does eventually regain his empathy. It probably finally sinks in during a small gathering. His mother makes her famous cake. Zane has long gotten used to being excluded during these sorts of things, but then...

His mother slides a plate of cake right in front of him.

Strawberry.

His favorite.

And she smiles at him.

This is probably after they found out about Garte being a peice of shit. Maybe a few months.

All Zane has ever wanted is to be loved. Maybe he didn't know it, but when he takes a bite of his mother's strawberry cake for the first time in decades and the nostalgic taste registers in his brain, something snaps.

And he becomes human again.

And he realizes:

Oh.

I'm a person.

I'm a murderer.

I'm a monster.

Arlecchino Demo Music Analysis

DISCLAIMER: I am no musical expert in any way, just a massive fan of the Genshin soundtrack and learned music theory as a hobby.

One of my favorite things about Genshin is its music. It is not just that it sounds amazing, but each element, style, and motif has meaning and purpose- while being orchestrated and mixed to create a truly magnificent and unique musical experience. It is no exaggeration that this soundtrack is one of a kind.

Arlecchino's Character Demo has just been released, so I want to make a musical breakdown of it because I think it is a stellar example of how Genshin uses music to signify its themes and present its story. Before we get into that, there are ideas that I must detail for you to get the full picture, so I hope you enjoy!

Genshin uses musical elements to signify certain ideas (places, characters, elements, etc.). For example, Chinese and Japanese instrumentation signify Liyue and Fontaine respectively, but it goes beyond this.

"Travelers' Reverie" — Behind the Scenes of the Music of Sumeru | Genshin Impact

You may have noticed that a majority of Genshin's environmental music consists of real world instruments. There are even videos showcasing the orchestras and instruments of each nation (Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine), and using orchestral/live instruments even applies to other regions such as Enkanomiya, The Chasm, Golden Apple Archipelago, and etc. This gives each region a distinct musical identity, but all together it establishes them as places that are grounded and real.

During the final act of Fontaine's archon quest, we have been introduced to a new musical identity. This is Genshin's dubstep, and it has been used to signify otherworldly power. This genre not made by a real orchestra or real instruments, but through sampling (using existing sounds/music) and technology.

This is the identity in its most blatant form: (Shadow phase of the All Devouring Narwal boss fight)

This entire track symbolizes this. No other track within Genshin's world sounds remotely like it, symbolizing its otherworldly nature. It does not belong here- not with the live orchestras and melodic symphonies of Genshin's world.

Simply put, hardcore dubstep = otherworldly

Note: I am aware that many character demos and other tracks also use dubstep/EDM, but for the purposes of this post I think it should be left separate. Only if someone openly disputes this conclusion then I would happily oblige in presenting more evidence to this thru a reply or rb. Essentially, dubstep IS used in other tracks, but only in Silhouette of Catastrophe and Arlecchino's demo is the dubstep used as a"main idea", while also accompanied by heavy bass and "smaller intricate" sounds. This specific form of dubstep is what signifies being otherworldly.

Another musical element is children's singing!

In terms of the in-game ost, children's singing is used most prominently in Dragonspine's soundtrack in Genshin's world- and I will admit that I am not sure why that is. Perhaps Dragonspine has themes relating to innocence? Childhood? Tranquility? Whatever it is, I am not sure of. (If you have an idea, I would love to know!)

Instead, we can look at a certain character demo:

Nahida's! The beatdrop of her demo begins with children's singing. I believe this represents her innocent nature, status as a young archon, and the children of the forest that surround her- the Aranara.

Not only that, but the only other people in her demo are all children. Suffice to say, Genshin pays very close attention to using their music to reflect the themes and attributes of their characters in their demos (I could make more posts about this- breaking down more demo music...I think that'd be fun)

It's fairly straightforward, but essentially children's singing = children, innocence, and childhood

Now let's (finally) look at Arlecchino's demo

Let's first review each of the main musical elements and what they represent:

Dubstep and distortion: Otherworldly power. For Arlecchino: her curse, power, and dominance. "A spark cannot shatter all shadows until it sets all ablaze"

Children's voices and music box: Children. For Arlecchino: a lullaby; possibly protectiveness/care or tainted innocence (depending on how you interpret how she sees her children)

The music begins with a solo piano- lonely, melancholic, and mysterious. This is how she is after the death of Clervie and the rest of the children of the HotH.

Afterwards, the piano gets distorted- then replaced with harsh artificial beats and musical turmoil. This may be reflected on how she defeated her "mother" using her otherworldly power- her curse.

Following this is the anticipated beatdrop. Fascinatingly, it is not actually lead by dubstep, but by a distorted music box with a creeping melody. Not only that, but it is accompanied by a children's choir and a drum beat together.

The dubstep then ramps up- completely overtaking the track. But one it has reached its height, it is interrupted by the music box and singing children.

One can interpret this as her children holding her back from unleashing her true power. When she is most ruthless and violent, she is reminded of their playfulness and innocence.

The choir ends abruptly- but afterwards, the children's voices and music box lead the melody, while the dubstep and distortions accompany it harmoniously to create one whole piece.

This is who Arlecchino is. A Father and Harbringer defined by "caring" for her children and her otherworldly power. A love that nurtures and neglects- a power that frees and destroys. A wolf in sheep's clothing, or a sheep in wolf's clothing?

However the demo doesn't end there- the solo piano returns once again.

"Its flame is no longer needed, for you have the strength to defend yourselves"

This is going into speculative territory, but perhaps after she passes on her title as "king", she is once again lonely, left without a family. After all, she may no longer be needed or wanted at all- not after all that she has done, not after all that she has failed to do.

Conclusion

I love Genshin's music from the bottom of my heart. One reason why is the attention, detail, and beauty put into each track. Each piece is not only an experience, but also a story, an idea, a character, a place, whatever the artists wish to portray.

Arlecchino's Character Demo is one but many pieces that showcase this. In this track, we are able to discern Arlecchino's two core ideas, her relationship with her children and otherworldly power, through an incredible combination of singing, a music box, and dubstep. One can even theorize the course of her story through its visuals and music, in the end creating a beautiful and encompassing display of "Arlecchino".

despite my main form of art being physical, i think i prefer to "consume", for lack of a better word, anything language related, like stories, poetry, and music.

i think honestly its because music/language has been such a huge part of my life since birth, like my mom would constantly be playing music when she was watching me, and i (essentially) taught myself to read by the age of three so ive just always had a penchant for language and i find it so incredibly interesting

Hi. My life has been thrown into chaos nd I’ve been on queue for many days now :)) But I’m not gonna let the chaos win

I’m combining days 6 thru 8 of beweirdoctober because this is MY blog and I am the captain :]

6: Origins

Since Ryan has managed to pierce the veil of reality (& they got a boyfriend out of it ❤️), they and Dasein see ALOT of things they probably aren’t meant to interact with. Ryan was given the opportunity to learn about their past during a very strange misadventure involving weird autonomous shadow magic creatures only they and Dasein could see.

Aside from the fact that Ryan was doubtful about the creatures’ powers, they were pretty frustrated about it. I guess wandering around a sandy dungeon in Mirage for 11 hours will make you very cranky :]

These things wanted to manipulate Ryan into using their abilities to help the creature take over the spiral. Ofc, that’s not gonna happen hehe. But they showed Ryan a version of themselves that lived on earth with parents and school and a job, and even a spouse and kids later on.

But instead of making Ryan sad and emotionally vulnerable like they’d hoped, it just made Ryan verrrry angry lolol They were sick of wandering around in the excessive heat while trying to stop a bunch of sniveling creatures who wanted to toy with their emotions to get their way. Ryan yelled at the creatures for a very VERY long time for thinking this guilt tactic would somehow work. They don’t have any memories of life before the spiral, so none of these images meant anything to them. They’re already a self sufficient adult with magic god powers, and they wouldn’t want to live in any reality where they couldn’t be with Dasein.

In the end, Ryan’s reaction freaked out the creatures so bad that they promised not to mess with them anymore, and Ryan left in a huff to go home to fall asleep for 16 hours. Dasein was alot more affected by it than Ryan was, and it took him a few days to calm down after that absolute mindfreak.

Ryan’s still not sure if the things they saw were a bluff, or an actual alternate reality. They could never tell poor Dasein, because they don’t want to send him into another anxious meltdown, but they get a sick feeling in their stomach that it wasn’t all lies.

7. Likes

Well, most of all, Ryan likes Dasein :] since they’re both basically gods from outside the spiral, it’s like they were made for eachother ! Sometimes they get into arguments or drive eachother crazy with annoying little habits, but at the end of the day, they’re still deeply in love for the rest of time BECAUSE I SAY SO :] ❤️ Dasein’s pretty frickin powerful (I mean he’s a whole world ffs) so he can leave Novus and go wherever he wants, but in the beginning, it was a little difficult for him to get the hang of splitting his consciousness and leaving. They were both falling apart over the idea of being separated again after Ryan had gone on walkabout just to rescue Dasein. So they came up with the idea of having Ryan wear a pendant with a little container of Novus dirt. With that physical anchor, Dasein was able to pass through the spiral door with Ryan. He also struggled with staying in one place while he was asleep, so Ryan frantically dumped dirt all over the floor of their apartment in the arcanum in the middle of the night :] nowadays, they don’t have to worry about dirt, but Ryan still keeps a tiny bit of it in a locket around their neck as a memento, and a physical reminder of their love for Dasein

Ryan also likes any and all food from Mirage. They get a funny smile when they’re trying to contain their excitement at getting to eat it, and Dasein thinks it’s adorable. Sometimes, he brings some home for dinner as a surprise, just to watch Ryan’s reaction

8. Dislikes

Ryan isn’t a fan of all the notoriety and responsibility that comes with being a god. They sometimes miss the days when they were just a student, and they could stop to take a break almost anytime they wanted. But now if they’re called away, even in the middle of the night, they have to get up and go help.

Ryan also dislikes diplomacy. They’re often called on to be a diplomat, and they hate it. It’s very boring to them, and they aren’t great at being tactful at the best of times. Dasein is much better at that stuff. Ryan prefers solving problems with spells.

terpsichore is shadowheart’s selûnite counterpart… memory wiped & sent out on a holy pilgrimage to moonrise towers where she was supposed to assassinate a powerful agent of shar. told she’d know her target when she saw them. wink!

compared to auntie: terpsichore is like. less selfless but more cunning which unfortunately does matter more when it comes to saving ppl so she may be responsible for less tragedy. i also feel like she’s sort of more of a fan companion than an authoritative protagonist so will work better with the rest of the party. instead of just making them complicit in atrocities & indulging their hubris by way of apology

i see terpsichore as explicitly NOT a cleric not just for party comp bc i want to play w shaddy but bc she was trained as a church spy for selûne not a priest or holy warrior. she’s more like a DA orlesian bard. entertainer, eavesdropper, assassin, vagabond. was brought up by a selûnite enclave and learned to sing and frolic in the moonlight but also pass thru secured areas like a moonbeam and kill and bat her big sweet goat eyes to get away with things.

i’m still workshopping her backstory which is ok bc she doesn’t remember most of it… but i think she witnessed some corruption in her enclave that caused her to break faith with selûne before getting roped back in. & her real target has always been balthazar.

selûne won’t confront shar directly or use force to break the shadow curse & free aylin but she’ll periodically inspire a lone pilgrim to try and fetch her daughter back. lest anyone accuse her of aasimar abandonment 💁‍♀️ the sacrifices pilgrims tend not to be the faithful she’s well pleased with.

if we’re villifying shar i wanna take selûne down with her. two sides of the same coin two aspects of the same power & equally painful to love

i KNOW she & shadowheart jump each other (homicidal) before they ever jump each other (homosexual). only stopped from killing each other by the tadpole connection which shows them each a flash of their own suppressed memory in the other’s mind. gets em off balance & curious enough to take their knives off each other’s throats at least until they get to moonrise where they’ll have their fated showdown & decide whose goddess wins. wink wink

HUGE fan of Naoto's shadow. The childishness of it, the big chunky ray guys, the jet wings, the racing stripes.

Naoto keeps being told he's so mature for his age, and it's very obvious that it comes from taking every youthful impulse and crushing it down into a little box until it reaches critical mass and explodes.

Also, this fight was pitifully easy lmao. Either I'm overleveled or the game was not prepared for me to bring in Kanji, who hits like a motherfucking truck. Also Yosuke now dodges like 90% of attacks and I have no idea how he's doing that but it's great.

the other half of this sadness is a collection of A's memories from 2006 with no future. what's there to look forward to? spring is supposed to be the happiest time for EVERY baseball fan, because truly, anything is possible. but for A's fans now, we know it's not. we now know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that ownership has no desire to put a winning team, or even a break-even team, on the field. what's the point of of caring? of getting attached to any of the new kids?

anyway. feeling sad. sucks when something that has done such a great job of being an escape no longer offers that.

Yes, the situation is heartbreaking. It is like rollercoaster of emotions. I absolutely understand that fans are confused, hurt, unsure. And I also understand that some fans decided not to listen or support them anymore. Emotions are all over the place, good or bad.

I will say right away, I do not think that something bad happened, I do not think that somebody drugged her or hurt her. And any sympathy for this girl is long gone, especially after her response to Schneider's post. And maybe this is unpopular to say it, but I have never had any problem with row 0 or parties, but the system how to get there was unfortunate. Very easy to attack it.

I am very heartbroken for the band. This thing happened in very beginning of the tour and it is like shadow over them. They prepared amazing show with some new songs, with all the pyro effects and yet majority of the world talks only about this one thing. People do attack them online, attack one each other, attack the girl.

But I am also extremely happy for all the support they have. Fans are amazing. The response during the shows is overwhelming.

I am not saying I know what is going thru their minds, but I saw them enough, I can say how much it effects them. And also me.

Right before first München show everything blow up so much. And knowing Germans, I was not sure what to expect. And the band neither. I was very anxious. But the show was amazing, fans were the best I ever experienced. Schneider crying on the stage got me hard, but in good way, because I believe it was tears of relief. I can say they were all so happy that fans are still with them. Till's speech during third and fourth show melted my heart. Big group hug, playful Till during the last München show. I went home with hope for great future.

Than, just before Trenčín show it was announced that investigation will be open in Berlin and also their record company is ending their cooperation. Which must hit much harder than, let say, Rossmann. I wish that they will not be effected by this, but since first second, I could say they are. A lot. The show was amazing, but it missed the spark from München. No Ausländer outro at all. Paul was not dancing around. It was sad to watch it. Also, they did not leave their hotel, only for the show and than they went back. Plus they did refuse to take any photo with fans waiting by the hotel.

Than we get that heartbreaking post by Schneider. It is sad to read about how Till is not that close to them anymore and how they feel about it. But it also show that they stick together even now. And they will not throw Till overboard. They will go thru this together.

Watching all these videos from Bern, the mood seems to be much better now. They again do silly things on stage. The were seen around the city. And that makes me happy. I hope it will be the same when I will be back for Berlin shows.

What I am afraid is how it is going to be after the tour. Right now, they have all fans showing all love and support during the shows, but I think it will hit hard when they will not have it. When they will be at home. I wish to be wrong. And I hope they will surround with beloved ones, with family, especially Till. And I wish the investigation would be short. I am positive that it will end up in good way for Till but if it will take a long time, it is big pressure for him.

He is strong human but also very sensitive soul. And everyone have breaking point. I honestly hope he will not find his. I think he will have to cancel his tour. If he would do the same show as always, people and media would tear him apart. If he would do less provocative show, fans would not be happy. But of course, if he will cancel it, fans will not be happy neither.

Damn, I let my feeling out and it is terribly long. Sorry.

I am positive that everything will end up good, but the journey to it will be hard and not nice.

Auriela. altmer dual wielding spellblade. first character I realized I could modify with the new body slider. as such I gave her a Pixar mom body, obviously. and like giga tall. like her forehead touches the doorframe tall. like I have to sneak in order to fit thru some places tall lmao.

also I gave her glowing freckles

this dude was made using the Sarpa - Beyond Skyrim: Argonia mod. for those that don't know, Argonians also have different subspecies like the Khajiit. bird-like Argonians are called Sarpa (they're an ESO creation, they never existed before that). I think this is a fan interpretation of how they'd look like and I think it's super cool. His name is Steals-Your-Spoons. fore roleplay purposes I am obligated to steal any spoon I come across. I won't be actively looking for them but I will have a drawer in one of my player homes that's just crammed with spoons because this name decided to come to me while showering lol. in combat, he's gonna be a frontline archer that uses summons and followers to tank instead of being a stealth archer because we've all played that style to death. this mod actually added an acrobatic archer playstyle that's really cool. you know that backflip scatter arrow move you can do in Dragon Age: Inquisition? yea that's possible here with this mod

Kanaheda the bosmer. initially I planned on making her a stealth mage since the mod's new perk system allows for a stealth mage playstyle by giving magic attacks sneak damage......but then while messing with the CC I realized I could give her glowing body tattoos and then the plan changed. she's now a naked brawler. she literally just runs in there shrieking beating people into paste with her fists. cuz I wanna see the tats lol. this is supported cuz this mod brings back the Unarmored skill from Morrowind and the Hand-to-Hand skill from Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion.

while in the overworld, I'll ride around on the horse and swing my axe around to replicate the FE cavalier playstyle. obv in dungeons and stuff I'll have to stick to being on foot but that's fine cuz I love the new battleaxe animations in this mod. very meaty

Zenandrayda the dunmer. initially made her to be the stealth archer but since the new combat mechanics are more similar to Elden Ring I just decided to be a weapon + shield knight sort of character with her. 100% because I found this purple shield lmao. she also sprinkles in some illusion magic before fights.

oh and this mod adds bladestaffs to the game. they literally have the same moveset as staves do in Dragon Age 2/Inquisition

Zen-Ma will be a pure mage most likely. her armor is the Ancient Argonian Armor made by 4thUnknown. I fell in love with this armor the moment I saw it. massive Twilight Princess Fused Shadow vibes + I love that Argonians get some love cuz they're probably my favorite race in the series

it doesn't come across in screenshots but the lights glow in and out (just like the Fused Shadow lol)

I also made 2 Khajiit, a male Bosmer, and an Imperial lady but I don't have any screenshots of them. the character creator is insane so I'm probably gonna make like 20 more characters. the CC even has a sculptor feature so if you have the patience you can literally mold your character however you want.

i find it so odd that in the show called shadow and bone, the characters FROM shadow and bone are barely a thought. like i am not the biggest fan of the original grisha trilogy but they had such an opportunity to do those characters right on screen and they squandered all of their complexity on nothing. and no one really cares because the characters that the show actually cares about might have a chance to have their own spin off, as if we didn’t partially watch that spin off play out before our eyes and it was 😵‍💫

I'm a big fan of the way you use shadows and never fully show the shape of Annatar - it preserves the seductive mystery of him. And I absolutely LOVE the snekron design! It's so inspired! And! AND! On top of everything else I love that you're using a Celebrimbor design similar to Shadow of Mordor - I really really loved that game and that version of him! He had such strength, and ambition!
