DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game
Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.
Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.
The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.
And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).
And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.
Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.
(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).
After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).
Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.
#DPxDC#Kizzer55555 ideas#Danny makes a card game to save the world.#Technically he worded the ritual so that they had to ‘beat’ him as those are the most powerful barriers and most reliable.#keys can just get lost or stolen (like the one to Pariah’s Coffin)#A riddle would be useless once someone figured out the answer. Like how no one takes the sphynx seriously anymore.#(Sorry Tuck. But it’s true).#And there is NO WAY Danny is just leaving a hole open for anyone to pass through. No thank you!#So…beating him. But it’s not like Danny wanted to fight so…he edited the ritual a TINY bit. Card games are good. Much less painful too.#Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine.#It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy.#It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too.#They had SO much fun making this.#Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field.#Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak.#Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.)#I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost.#Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM!#Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board.#By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges#And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS.#Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess.#But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders.#Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions.#While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts.#The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of#Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything.#Danny is not aware they think this.#Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this.#Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

Wouldn't you like a taste of the power?
I just picture Hermes having a whole dance routine while performing Wouldn't You Like in the Epic Saga, so I drew my version of Hermes mid singing and Odysseus reaching for the Holy Moly herb.
Click for quality.
Before anyone comes at me for giving Odysseus armour that wouldn't exist in the era: I can do what I want. Also I referenced Athena's chest plate, so . . .
For Hermes instead of drawing the Caduceus, I drew the two snakes as gold jewelry coiled around his arm, and his earring is technically the rest of the staff with the wings. For some reason I drew Hermes completely different from my idea of him, so I might draw that later too.
I drew the holy moly based on the best reference of the proposed real world flower, Snowdrop (from Wikipedia, I cringe to cite it, but what can I say, am lazy) and chose to make the "sap" gold (I believe it is supposedly black from the blood though) dripping from the base and pouring from the flowers.
Close ups:
#I stayed up all night distracted and finishing this so my writing may be atrocious#I'm actually so proud of this one#Like genuinely my favorite art piece#I'll be posting more for sure#I wanted to make an animation as well but I only just started practicing animation with living things#hermes#odysseus#odyssey#ancient greece#greek mythology#greek gods#greek myth art#greek myth#fanart#epic the musical#the oddyssey#the circe saga#epic circe saga#circe#epic fanart#epic fandom#holy moly#wouldn't you like#i thought i should add this is not a ship#its ancient Greece everyone looks gay#also fan service

thinking about the adam's red sclera you were talking about. if his aura is constantly trying to prevent it from getting worse, would someone with aura amp semblance like jaune be able to cure it? it wouldn't give him back his vision, but stop the chronic pain maybe?
it also gets me thinking about the fact that blake has chronic pain on her scar where he stabbed her (i cant recall where the chronic pain fact was mentioned nor implied, so i cant really tell if it's canon or fanon), which got talked about a lot back when the volume was out
In theory, I don't see why an Aura boost couldn't help cure an infection. It completely closed Weiss's injury and that was complete impalement open to the air! A true feast for bacteria. I imagine even modern doctors would struggle with a wound like that
Once again, though, we bump against the reality that a) Adam shouldn't have this infection after literal years. (6 years minimum if my math from the comics is right.) It should've either been healed or taken out to prevent more damage, and b) Auras aren't consistent throughout RWBY because the writers care more about Events than Story. In some cases, Aura will stand up to incredible amounts of force and others be shattered in a single hit, even with the same character! (Ex. Ghira in the v5 fight vs the ambush in the Adam short/Yang in pretty much any fight yet going down in a single hit from Neo in v8.) Scars are just another Event for the writers, story and logic be damned. (Seriously, how the fuck did Cinder lose both her arm and eye? I don't think the writers know. Or care.)
As for Blake's wound, that is 110% fanon. I have no idea how a stab just above the hip would lead to chronic pain. Perhaps in flashbacks or nightmares she would relive the pain, but unless there were complications with the healing (considering she was leaping on rooftops shortly after, this is not the case), that should be the only pain she gets. I can only hope someone made an ignorant mistake rather than deliberately foisting more suffering onto Blake just so Adam would look worse
#rwde#anon hours#yang didnt even get phantom pains for her *lopped arm.* aint no way chronic pain for a stab is canon#the way people want blake to suffer at a much higher rate than any of the others is just Weird#and its always as a result of Adam or to prompt a reaction from yang (or weiss when its racist shit specifically)#anyway i know less abt modern medicine than i do for medieval practices#did you know that honey was used as far back as ancient egypt for its antiseptic and antibacterial qualities?#or that a guy named john bradmore invented a new instrument for extracting arrowheads from deep wounds?#its called the bradmore screw and it looks like a torture device. probs felt like one too since painkillers are a more recent discovery#reading the iliad really prompts the mind#back then infections were the biggest thing to worry abt bc they had basically nothing to cure them#they could only prevent as well as they could w herbs and warm water#terrifying to think abt

hello. i probably will not be using this website for a long long time. i did a very bad thing and as a consequence i lost the two most important to me relationships in my life and a lot of friends. (and i mean one of them was doomed from the start but maybe it could've ended. better. not like this)
this is a fair consequence for what i did, which is sexually abusing someone (the fact that i wasnt aware that was what i was doing at the time does not absolve me of much because it shouldve been painfully easy to realise that) it also just means that i have nothing to return to here. maybe ill come back at some point mostly because its like an addiction at this point . i dont know what to do with myself if i cant look at this fucking website but i also increasingly do not know what to do with myself on this website. so like. to everyone who i made friends with on this website. goodbye. maybe ill come back at some point. maybe not.
#words#vent#and to hazy. i know youre not reading this and i know that an apology means nothing at this point#because clearly the actual reason im so sorry is the friends ive lost#but. god. im so fucking sorry. i hope i didnt traumatise you#or pemamently ruin your relationship to sex and sexuality#and if i did well. im really sorry#i hope youll get to be happy soon again#i hope im eventually im reduced to a vague bad memory#something thats practically ancient history#im sorry.

AAAnd here is my attempt to color Aki! I liked the way the flat colors came out so I included it on this page (specifically for referencing later) ~ I used a fairly interesting flat color technique I saw that involved initially putting all colors on one layer and then splitting it out and cleaning it up, which ended up being very relaxing.
His horns are made out of xaidrion, but of the more smoky colored variety. Since he is half magic he is completely unbothered by it. Horns were fairly common in ancient sions but not with modern ones - the main difference actually being that modern sions are basically a cryptid and try to blend in with human/shifter society, whereas ancients were not, they were clearly their own defined people.
Another fun fact about Aki himself...while ancients could learn any type of magic they wanted to put their minds to, their individual kingdoms have Specialties, usually a primary and a secondary. Aki's kingdom primarily specializes in Wind magic, with a secondary in Time. Aki uses his wind magic far more than time, but mostly because would prefer not to make too many impressions with it - it's powerful but also difficult to learn and very dangerous. (One of those things that require a healthy level of respect before you even consider using it.) When he does use it its mostly for scrying and other mystical-leaning uses, and preserving or repairing stuff in secret.

How to incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine
Introduction
We all know how hard it is to get out of bed in the morning. We snooze the alarm repeatedly, run late to work, and end up feeling exhausted and stressed. The key to a successful day starts with a great morning routine. A morning routine helps you to stay productive and maintain a positive attitude throughout the day.
Creating a relaxing morning routine can be hard work, but the rewards are worth it. It's important to be consistent with your routine and maintain a healthy balance. Here are some tips on how to create a relaxing morning routine.
Get Enough Sleep
The first step to creating a relaxing morning routine is to get enough sleep. It is recommended that adults get at least 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Lack of sleep can cause fatigue, mood swings, and difficulty focusing.
A good night's sleep is essential for a productive day. Make sure to create a soothing atmosphere in your bedroom to help you sleep. Keep your bedroom dark and cool, and avoid using screens at least an hour before bedtime.
Wake Up Early
Waking up early is one of the most important elements of a relaxing morning routine. If you wake up early, you can take your time to get ready and start your day with a positive attitude.
Try to wake up at least an hour before you need to start your day. This will give you enough time to make breakfast, meditate, or do some stretches. Waking up early is also a great way to get some extra work done before the day starts.
Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Start your day off right with a healthy breakfast. Eating a nutritious breakfast provides your body with the energy it needs to function and stay productive throughout the day.
Try to avoid sugary and processed foods, and opt for something healthier. A bowl of oatmeal, eggs, or a smoothie are all great options. Eating a healthy breakfast will give you the energy you need to start your day.
Exercise or Stretch
Exercise or stretching is a great way to start your day. Exercise helps to wake up your body and clear your mind. It also boosts your energy levels so that you can tackle the day.
Try to set aside at least 10 minutes for some light exercise or stretching. This can be as simple as a few yoga poses or a short walk. Exercise will help you feel energized and motivated throughout the day.
Take Time to Unwind
It's important to take some time to unwind and relax in the morning. This could be anything from reading a book to listening to music. Taking a few moments to relax will help to reduce stress and start your day off on a positive note.
It's also a good idea to take a few deep breaths. This will help to calm your mind and body and prepare you for the day ahead.
Spend Time With Family or Friends
Spending time with family or friends is a great way to start your day. It will help to lift your spirits and give you a sense of connection and purpose.
Try to set aside at least 10 minutes for some quality time with your loved ones. This could be anything from talking about your day to playing a game or just enjoying each other's company.
Wrap Up
Creating a relaxing morning routine is essential for a productive and positive day. Make sure to get enough sleep, wake up early, and eat a healthy breakfast. Exercise or stretching is also important to wake up your body and clear your mind.
Take some time to unwind and spend time with family or friends. This will help to reduce stress and start your day off on a positive note. With a bit of practice and consistency, you'll soon be able to create a relaxing morning routine that works for you.

It's true... telling stories and myths is some of the most ancient art and the beginning of drama and acting. (You gotta do something with all that free time sitting around the fire.)
Audiobooks are awesome, especially when narrated well. Being told a good story dramatically is one of the greatest, most simple thrills in life. It's kind of lost art among adults which is why audiobooks are fantastic. (Before Mp3 files, audiobooks were cumbersome with multiple cassettes or CDs required which one needed to keep track of their order.)
As a teacher, I'd read my favorite books dramatically each year to my elementary age students and hook them on reading. They'd hear how a book *should* sound in their minds. They'd always check out from the school library copies of the book I was currently reading aloud.
I listen to audiobooks because you can't hold a book when you're using your hands and/eyes like when driving. Besides, it's just fun to be read to. (I learned that in 3rd grade when my teacher read us The Hobbit aloud.)
I have read many books aloud to my family, including the entire Harry Potter series, which I also recorded on my smartphone and sent to a partner whom I couldn't often be with.
Anyone who condescends to audiobooks has an excessive bit of pride in their own literacy. Lighten up. A story is a story, and facts are facts no matter how you learn them.
