How would the ros react to finding out mc is hiding their injuries? (Need some angsty-ish)

Hi anon! We all love some angst, don’t we?

Carlise would scold you. How dare you put your life at risk, whether you wished to not inconvenience anyone or whatever the case may be. She would immediately get you into whatever care she can. You would probably think she’s angry, but she’s not. She’s scared. When she knows you're being taken care of, she lightens up. Expect lots of reassuring words and praises during your recovery.

Varre doesn't waste any time asking questions. He is quick to begin using magic to heal you, staying silent the entire time. He will wait until you are taken care of and healed before he begins questioning why you did it; why you hid the fact you were hurt. Varre would make you promise to never scare him like that again.

Ewan doesn’t understand. Why would you hide the fact you were hurt from everyone; from him. He’s desperate to try and help you, but he’s not a healer. Sure, he knows how to patch up minor cuts and scrapes, but your condition is beyond his knowledge. His normal bubbly and charming self shuts down quick in anxiety and desperation. He just wants to help you. But he can’t.

Dea is not happy. At all. But she understands. She is likely the most level headed out of the ROs in finding out that you were hiding your injuries. She has tons of experience patching up stab wounds, cuts, whatever it may be. She’s not good with a stitch but if it’s just the two of you around she will make do with what she has. But she will be silent the entire time.

Kizan. This poor man. He has seen battle. He has seen people he cares about get hurt on the field. He’s lost friends. He’s managed to handle it all with grace, as a Commander should. But he can’t handle it with you. Kizan’s hands are on you at once, easing you down and trying his best to care for you. His fingers tremble as he patches you up the best he can. Maybe some calming words would do good to soothe his mind?

Amysa lived a sheltered life at the White Tower and has only recently been learning how the real world is. She’s brilliant on paper when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of the body, but in practice she turns white as a ghost. Seeing your injuries is no exception. She’s immediately brought to tears at the thought of your pain. While she is a mage and she can perform healing magic, her own fear overrides her abilities. She’s upset mostly with herself, not you.

Lyonel is no stranger to wounds. He almost lost his life during a hunting accident. Time is of the ease bc when you’re in such a condition and the fact you have put it off upsets him. He will help you in what ways he can, but if someone else can do it he will definitely let them. He values honesty above all else and knowing you were hiding your injuries hurts him. He will come to see you regularly and check on you, but until you’re better and the two of you can have a talk expect a cold shoulder.

Shian, like Dea, is pretty level headed about the ordeal. But that doesn’t save you from her motherly chiding. She’s not good with healing magics so she carries medicinal herbs instead. Expect sticky poultices that sting at first but numb soon after. She’ll tell you what each one does as she’s mixing it together. You can’t tell if she’s trying to teach you or keep your mind off the wounds. But her soft touch and caring eyes put you at ease. Even if she’s ripping you a new one with the sweetest tone of voice.

Tannic is good at hiding his emotions. Conceal, don’t feel. Or whatever she said. His expression doesn’t change when he sees your injuries. He does, however, get to working on them. Tannic has seen quite a bit of injuries and such in his day, yours are no different. Or so he thinks. One look into his eyes as he’s healing your wounds tells you what his words refuse to. Hurt, fear, pain… Please don’t ever scare him like that again. I’ll tell you because he probably won’t.

The Cast || Romance Options

Overall there are six main romances. I plan on introducing secret romances later down the line, but we will see. (;

All characters are romanceable regardless of gender.

|| EWAN GERAUNT, THE VIPER [M] ||

Appearance - Ewan is a strikingly handsome man with short, chestnut colored curly hair and dark amber colored eyes with flecks of brown in them. He is clean shaven and when he smiles he has deep set dimples. His skin is tanned with sparse scars covering his arms and other parts of showing skin. Ewan stands at 6'0 and has an athletic/lean muscled build.

Personality - Despite being very flirty and charming, Ewan isn't into flings and wishes for something more. He is fiercely loyal and protective of those he cares about; even willing to put his life on the line for to keep them safe. Ewan will often share fond stories of previous adventures with those he takes company with.

|| VARRE DELATORE, THE MAGE [M] ||

Appearance - Varre is elven, marking him with extremely elegant but handsome features. His hair is stark white and cascades down his back with elegant braids interwoven in its strands. Varre’s eyes are a deep emerald green, contrasting greatly with his pale skin color. His cheekbones are sharp, as well as his jawline. Varre stands at 6’4 and has a slim but toned build.

Personality - Despite being elven, Varre has no connection to his people. He is considered a city elf, born away from the cultures of his people only to be shipped off to the White Tower when he displayed magical capabilities. He is a quieter individual but very caring in his own way. Varre’s intelligence is rivaled by almost none and he is well aware of this.

|| CARLISE AURELIOS, THE LEADER [F] ||

Appearance - Carlise has the typical Aurelios features: Black hair, olive skin, grey eyes. Her curly hair is long and normally worn in a long, thick braid thrown over her shoulder. Loose curls fall over her forehead. Her olive skin is peppered with beauty marks. Carlise has a hooked nose that is adorned with a golden hoop. She stands at 5’6 and has a curvy build.

Personality - Times have changed Carlise. Her father’s assassination turned her once caring and warm heart to ice. She is afraid of letting people close to her and has a habit to push them away. Carlise is a driven individual and enscripted the help of Varre to learn how to weaken Harkahn. She is not afraid to pull strings to get what she wants.

|| DEA, THE HALFBLOOD [F] ||

Appearance - Being a half-elf, Dea gets a good mix of both her parents’ lineages. Her sandy blonde hair is thick and wild, barely being wrangled into a high ponytail whose length reaches her mid back. Her eyes are dark and piercing, with sharp cheekbones and a beautiful face. Dea’s ears are pierced, with the left one being scarred and cut short at the tip. She stands at 6’1 and has a muscular build.

Personality - Dea grew up rough. Halfbloods, as they’re called, are extremely frowned upon and outcast in Ordaire. She had ran the streets for quite some time before finally joining a mercenary band. Traveling and working with different groups of rougher people has earned Dea a crude mouth but a heart of gold. If you needed the shirt off of her back, she’d gladly give it to you. But if you needed a swift kick in the ass, Dea would gladly give you that too.

|| KIZAN FREMONT, THE KNIGHT [M] ||

Appearance - Kizan's most striking feature, apart from his stature, are his mismatched eyes. His right eye is a striking electric blue whereas his left is a rich brown color. Kizan's blue-black hair is styled into a short dreadhawk. His cool brown skin is practically flawless, save for one small scar on his bottom lip. Kizan stands at 6'2 and has a thick, muscular build.

Personality - Kizan can be intimidating at first. His father served the Grand Duke as his protector, and now Kizan serves Carlise and her brother Asan as their protector. Due to his position, Kizan is expected to be the typical stoic knight and leader of his men. While he fulfills his role well, he is actually quite the charmer outside of the armor. He finds fun in the little things and lives to enjoy every day he lives.

|| AMYSA BRIARFEL, THE APPRENTICE [F] ||

Appearance - Amysa has a youthful appearance. Her soft brown hair is pulled into two waist length braids, one over her shoulder and the other hanging down her back. She has short choppy bangs that cover her forehead. Amysa’s nose is straight and topped with circular glasses. She had a beauty mark above the right side of her lips. Her skin is a peachy color. Amysa stands at 5’4 and has a thin build.

Personality - Amysa has spent a short time outside of the White Tower of Castavel. Not quite acquainted with the way of the outside world, she can appear naive. However, Amysa is a knowledge sponge and learns extremely fast. She is incredibly caring and eager to please. Although she is an incredibly intelligent individual, she thinks with her heart instead of her brain. It has gotten her into trouble numerous times.

🚗 CAR — does your oc have a driver’s license? can they drive/operate any automobiles/machinery besides cars?

Hi anon! Since the story takes place in a fantasy setting, I’ll have to tweak your question a little. Maybe who’s good on horseback and who isn’t? I’ll throw in their horses as well. I hope that’s alright!

Carlise is good on horseback. Her horse is a white colored Camargue mare named Chérie. They have a very, very close bond. Asan’s horse is Chérie’s brother as well.

Varre is good on horseback. His horse is a black colored Fell Pony mare named Aeris. He is the only one allowed to ride or tend to her and she is very protective of him. Aeris is spoiled lol.

Ewan is comfortable on horseback. His horse is a buckskin colored Andalusian mare named Solana. She is a very friendly and loving horse, much like her rider.

Dea is not great on horseback. She’ll ride if she needs to. Her horse is a blue roan colored Quarter Horse stallion named Egon. The two of them annoy one another pretty often but still care for one another.

Kizan is good on horseback. His horse is a grey colored Percheron stallion named Dutch. He can be a bit stubborn at times but Kizan loves him all the same.

Amysa has absolutely no idea how to ride a horse. She prefers riding by carriage. If she has to ride by horseback she opts to ride with somebody else instead of on her own.

✈️ AIRPLANE — does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person?

Carlise is definitely more of a homey person. She’ll travel if she needs to but she likes to stay home more often than not.

Varre is more of a homey person but likes to travel too. He feels there needs to be a mix of the two in life.

Ewan loves traveling. The Vipers of Venoss have been far and wide, even outside of Caadvir. He likes not being tethered down to one place for every long.

Dea is a traveler. She’s never truly had a place to call home and has started believing she never will. I think if she found the right person, she’d settle down into being a homebody. (;

Kizan is not a traveler by any means. His position requires him to and he does not like it. He’d rather be at home surrounded by the people he knows.

Amysa is a traveler. She likes going from place to place and learning about wherever she goes. She does come to miss home every now and again, though.

🌋 VOLCANO - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil, or a instant explosion?

Carlise is a slow boil. Even when she reaches her limit she rarely explodes. She’ll throw a targeted comment here or there when she’s angry, but nobody has really seen her explode. She’s good at reeling it in.

Varre is a slow boil unless you know exactly what gets under his skin. If you get under his skin he will explode and lash out, but even that is rare. He likes to appear very well put together.

Ewan is probably the best tempered out of all the ROs. It takes an incredible amount of pushing to even get him angry. He shrugs things off and refuses to let things said from people he doesn’t care about bother him.

Dea has an explosive temper. She won’t go off immediately, but it’s a very short fuse. You can see it in her eyes when she’s pissed. Definitely get out of her way too if she starts going after the person who angered her in the first place!

Kizan is a slow boil for the most part. He’s used to letting things roll off his back but if someone keeps pushing him he is subject to explode. He cools off pretty fast though.

Amysa has an explosive temper but it’s quiet if that makes sense? She’s quick to anger, or really irritate, with little things but she’ll either hold her tongue or storm off before confronting someone. It’s hard to explain lol!

Varre is scared of enclosed spaces.

Ewan is scared of murky water. And goats. Absolutely terrified of goats.

🔧 WRENCH - are they good at fixing relationships? or do they tend to avoid doing so?

Hi anon! This one took a bit of thinking lol so I apologize for the late response.

Carlise, Varre and Kizan are the "fixers".

Carlise isn't one to let others into her heart easily. When she does, you truly are special to her. She would do anything and everything to fix the relationship you two have. Don't underestimate the lengths she would go to for you.

When Varre is in a relationship, he pours his entire heart and soul into it. That's not something he can feel he can just throw away. He may be a bit blunt at times, but he is just scared of losing what you have.

If Kizan has dedicated himself to a relationship, he will fight tooth and nail to fix whatever is wrong. He knows things can be difficult with him being away at times, but he is determined to fix whatever is going on. He will sit and listen to your needs for hours if he needs to.

Ewan, Dea and Amysa are the "avoiders".

Despite wishing for a meaningful relationship, Ewan has had his fair share of flings. You are his first serious relationship and he doesn't know how to deal with problems that may arise because he's never had to. Patience is key with this one.

Dea has always been a moving piece. If there is a problem she'll likely look at it as "well, that was nice while it lasted". She'll probably assume you don't wish to be together anymore and will mope about rather than just asking.

For someone who can ramble on for hours and hours, Amysa has problems with confrontation and will clam up the second something goes wrong. She more than likely knows exactly what's wrong, or has a good idea, but has no clue how to bring it up. She's afraid of saying the wrong thing.

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?

Hi anon! I'm only going to answer half of this for the sake of saving how the ROs act in love for the story. Hope that's okay!

When Carlise has a crush, it is not noticeable. She is good at reigning in and concealing her emotions. You could ask her if she has one straight to her face and she could tell you “No” without the slightest change in expression.

When Varre has a crush, it’s mostly noticeable when you’re looking for a sign but otherwise not so much. You might notice him being more eager to help, lingering closer than normal, or even catching him staring. The signs are there but they’re easily shrugged off.

When Ewan has a crush, it’s noticeable. He may be a flirty guy by nature, but all of his flirts and charms toward other people will come to a screeching halt. He will save those sweet words for the person he’s interested in and them alone.

When Dea has a crush, it’s somewhat noticeable. She’s not exactly a team player, but she will be for her crush. She will also linger closer to them, wishing to ensure their safety. Dea also tries to dial back some of her crudeness when they’re around.

When Kizan has a crush, it’s not noticeable. He’s good at hiding it around others to maintain his “professional” appearance. There might be slight hints here or there, but he definitely tries not to let any feelings show/slip out until he's ready for them too.

When Amysa has a crush, it's very noticeable. She blushes easily and has a hard time focusing on her work when her crush is around. She can deny it all she wants when people ask, but it’s painfully obvious.

Hi anon! I'm taking their partner not being around as them being gone for an extended period of time. Hope that's okay!

Carlise misses her partner easily. She may not show it, but it does start to eat at her the longer they're apart. Her tongue may be a bit more sharp while they're away, but other than that there's little difference.

Varre misses his partner easily but understands the necessity of their trip. He will do his best to hide it but he yearns greatly for their return. Others may see his interest dull or that he seems distracted when his partner is away.

Ewan doesn't miss his partner easily. He's traveled far and wide and understands how things are when you're apart from the person you love. There's little to no difference between his actions/attitude when they're not around as opposed to around.

Dea misses her partner easily. When she is attached to somebody it's hard for her not to long for their constant presence. When her partner isn't around, she's likely to be a little more grumpy and quieter than usual.

Kizan misses his partner easily but also understands that they go through the same thing when he's away for extended periods of time. It makes it a little easier, but not by much. He writes plenty of letters while they're away and is a bit more antsy.

Amysa misses her partner easily. Everyone will definitely hear about it, too. She can't wait for them to return. Amysa is the type to read as much as she can about wherever they've gone so she's well-informed for their stories when they return.

Carlise doesn't believe in love at first sight. She looks for someone who is honest, intelligent and kind.

Varre doesn't believe in love at first sight until he meets the MC. (; He looks for someone who is emotionally mature, respectful and genuine.

Ewan believes in love at first sight. He looks for someone who is passionate, exciting and adventurous.

Dea doesn't believe in love at first sight. She looks for someone who is humorous, not afraid of risks and loyal.

Kizan believes in love at first sight. He looks for someone who is independent, communicative and laid back.

Amysa believes in love at first sight. She looks for someone who is an active listener, caring and shares her passions.

Obviously these are all just traits they like. All of the ROs will be happy with your MC whether they have these traits or not. (:

What are the ROs love languages?

Hi anon! Admittedly love languages do kind of confuse me lol but I’ll do my best. I’m taking this in the context of how they show love to their partner. (:

Carlise would be Words of Affirmation. I feel like this is a difficult one to choose. Carlise has been through a lot and it's hardened her. The words of affirmation may be few and far between, but she will always make sure her partner knows just how much she appreciates and loves them.

Varre would be Acts of Service. He’s the type to go out of his way to alleviate any weight on his partner's shoulders. He will cook, clean or even offer a hand with whatever troubles his partner is dealing with. He will always keep his promises.

Ewan would be Gift Giving. He loves showering his partner in gifts to show them how much he cares. Some gifts are "this made me think of you" whereas others are just thoughtless gifts he snagged. He would even make his partner a wood carving of their favorite animal.

Dea would be Physical Touch. It's hard for her to be around her partner without having at least some physical contact with them. Whether it's an arm around the shoulder, a hand on a leg, or just brushing shoulders.

Kizan would be Quality Time. With his position he rarely gets free time, so the time he does get he treasures greatly. In a relationship he would dedicate most of his free time to his partner doing things they enjoy. He could also fall under Gift Giving.

Amysa would be also Quality Time. There is nothing she loves more than spending time with the person she cares deeply for. Whether it's long meaningful conversations or just existing together, she is happy as long as it's with her partner.
