“I appreciate the pun, Syr Ameril, but I’m pretty sure that’s a sweeping- AHHH!”
With a furious roar, the rider was interrupted and knocked from the saddle. Meanwhile, his opponent - a paladin clad in the trademark gold and white of Ardenvale - basked in the polite applause of a lone spectating knight on the far end of the training grounds.
“Thank you, thank you, you’re too kind!” Ameril cheered with a radiant smile. “Now, Syr Kenver, you were saying?”
“I said, that was a sweeping maneuver!” growled the man as he dragged himself to his feet.
“Oh, who cares? More to the ‘point,’ heh heh…”
Kenver rolled his eyes.
“…why do you care? I beat you and joked about it, end of story!”
“Well, it’s just…you want the jab to make sense!” Kenver stammered.
“‘Make sense.’ Maybe I just wanted to celebrate the fact that you didn’t skewer me!”
“What? Oh, my new lance, right. Sorry.” Kenver brandished his weapon - a spiked, pronged lance that flared out into several lethal points at the end. “Well, it’s my latest piece and I needed to test it. And, oh, says the one with the…glowing blue laser lance!”
Now it was Ameril’s turn to look embarrassed. “Well, it’s like you always say: a traditional lance is fine for the-”
“The Burning Yard, yes, yes. But maybe not in the wilds - and you always want to train for what you’ll be using then and there.” Kenver gave Ameril a wry smirk. “Well, I’m glad to see you’re taking at least one of my lessons to heart. Or, well…I suppose you did just win the joust, so maybe more than one.”
“Good point…eh?” Ameril snickered.
Exhausted and annoyed, Kenver chose to ignore the pun as he collapsed back onto the dirt, unconventional lance still in hand. “Maybe I made this one just a little too heavy.”
“Hey, it may be no good in a tournament. But in the wilds, at least you could always fall back on using it as a club.”
“Thank you, Ameril. Your…bluntness is appreciated.”
Ameril nearly fell out of her saddle from laughter at the dull wordplay.
[Shoutout to The Once and Future King back in high school for teaching me that jousting isn’t/wasn’t just restricted to the head-on poke!]

The tendency towards overt identification with things, towards the endless supremacy of someones decalarative knowledge about themselves over the reality of how they go about life seems to have been lent into for its capacity to amerilate various instances of absolute lack of power over our lives. But also like, we seem to have adopted an attitude of 'fake it till you make it' in relation to our entire psychic life. "The most revolutionary thing one can do always is to proclaim loudly what is happening". Yet it seems hard to deny there is something proleptic and generative going on here, I know I transitioned because I was given space to say I was a woman without having to attatch anything to it, yet it was various instances of like, honesty, from strangers, hookups, etc that gave me a gauge of 'how well i was doing' at it and encouraged me to do it to a degree it gave me relief and felt like self-actualisation. Im definitly not appealing for the like, return of a kind of "whatever people say you are is what you are" kind of thing but it does feel like increasingly over-reified articulations of who a person thinks they are tend to precede the person in such a way that u encounter these articulations a hundred times over before u might ever be close enough with a person to counter them. Moreover this occurs in such a way that leads to a near absolute faith in the capacity for self-knowledge. It seems hard to not think about people's complete disdain for psychoanalysis in light of this development. I'm sure I have it to a bizzarely intense degree but a lot of stuff about alexithymia seems like shock that someone might dare to not proclaim a totally comprehensive self-knowledge

Ameril my Chronurgy Wizard Warlock that I love very much.
The only thing they wanted was a quiet life of researching the planes and their connections and effects on each other. What they got was 2 years of memory loss. Only fragments are left and after killing the head of one of the ruling Tiefling families striking a deal with an archfey to cover up the cause of death.

Identifying Dragons: Eldraine
Traversing the world of Eldraine can be a fascinating experience. One time you pass through one of five courts within the Realm, and then after a while you notice your surroundings starting to shift and you find yourself in the unpredictable Wilds. Tales abound in both, of trickster fae, of food gone rogue, of perilous adventures…
Once Upon A Time by Matt Stewart
…and of course, encounters with dragons.
What to Expect
Opportunistic Dragon by Chris Rahn
Eldranian dragons come in many shapes and sizes.
Body and limbs: Their size can range from the size of a small cottage to the breadth of an entire castle. Gait and proportions of limbs can vary from dragon to dragon. Some have long limbs; some have a gait not unlike that of a lizard's; some have thick limbs while others do not. All are covered with scales, but color varies from dragon to dragon.
Wings: I've found two kinds of wing structures among Eldraine's dragons. First is the usual, bat-like wings, membrane stretched across elongated finger bones. The second one, unique to this world, has many more 'fingers' growing directly, evenly-spaced, from the main arm instead of from a common point.
Greed to Hunger
Transformed at his own wedding, he promptly ate the banquet, the gifts, and the guests.
Korvold, Fae-Cursed King by Wisnu Tan
I have not encountered tales about named dragons in Eldraine except for one. The dragon, named Korvold, wasn't even originally a dragon to begin with. His tale demonstrates one of many ways the fae can inflict punishment on those they deem deserving. It is said that he was punished for his greed, turning it into an eternal hunger he sates to this day.
Korvold's draconic form displays the unique Eldrainian dragon wing structure. Even in this form the proportions of his limbs remain humanlike. I can only assume that the numerous horns on his head are a mockery of the crown he once had.
Dangers
As the blaze raced towards her, Syr Ameril closed her eyes and pictured Castle Ardenvale so her last thoughts would be of home.
Scorching Dragonfire by Eric Velhagen
Breath weapon: fire
Eldrainian dragons live far from the Realm, far from the human settlements. The Wilds, however, are another matter. Out of their lairs, they can be found lurking in the dark forests, flying near picturesque lochs, or resting among the crags. One might even find the more massive ones reclining against castle ruins. However, a dragon might occasionally wander onto a village and wreak havoc, devouring human and beast alike, although some might just abduct them or steal treasure and take them heavens know where.
Syr Damon looked at the dragon and saw the faces of every innocent it had devoured. Suddenly, his sword blazed like the sun.
Righteousness by Howard Lyon
Knights traversing the wilds or dragons wandering into the realm are causes for conflict, and there are no shortage of tales of such confrontations. It might happen by happenstance, or the knight might be hunting the dragon down for some transgression. Fights could go to either, with the knight striking a fatal blow on some weak point or the dragon burning the other to ashes. In cases of the former, it seems as if the knights' weapons respond to their wielders' will - even burning hotter than dragonfire just to slay their foe.
Despite its ferocity, its favor can be won with a gift of something it’s never seen before.
Loch Dragon by Mike Bierek
They may be fierce, but not all dragons are truly straightforward. Some exhibit a sense of curiosity, and may even spare your life when sated. There are also dragons with some control over elemental magics capable of, for example, magical storms formed by pairs flying in circles.
One tale speaks of how a dragon got its shimmering hide - by trading part of its hoard away. Another tells of how a prideful dragon betted against a fox and lost - although we do not know exactly how. Such stories may just be fictional, fables with lessons to be taught. Maybe they are truth retold, with some fragment from experience hidden within. Either way, there are still more tales to be told of Eldraine - and when you come across one of its dragons, I hope yours doesn’t end then.

Animaniacs Characters Headcanons
Yakko: He was born in January 14th 1979 in Metuchen, New Jersey, USA. He is of English and Polish-Jewish descent. He was involved to be in the kids show called Animaniacs. While Yakko’s just your average, normal, chill guy, in the show, he plays playfully arrogant and irreverent personality, he also proves to be responsible, persistent, determinant, and optimistic. He’s lactose intolerant. He’s married to Minerva Mink. His net worth is $20 million.
Wakko: He was born in November 23th 1981 in Metuchen, New Jersey, USA. Wakko is mostly shown to be a party animal when he later began to hang out with Pinky, Brain, Squit and Pesto at the age of 14 as he was the youngest friend out of the 5. Wakko first met Pinky, Brain, Squit and Pesto when he was just 10 in the casting role of Animaniacs in April 1992.. He’s later shown to be a stoner at the age of 16 when he first discovered marijuana. He also has two siblings, Yakko, the oldest brother and Dot, the one and only youngest sister. He’s also known to be a prankster. He is the middle child of the Warner siblings, but played as the goofball of the three in Animaniacs in 1993 since he was 11. He’s later shown to be non-binary in real life, which means he refers as him/they. He’s now married with Rita Mage and has 2 kids, their 19 year-old daughter, Antenna Amerile Mage-Warner and 17 year-old son, Trevor Mage-Warner. His net worth is $16 million.
Dot: She was born in April 6th 1984 in Metuchen, New Jersey, USA. Unlike Yakko and Wakko, she’s the youngest sibling out of the three. She has more of they sassy, salty attitude which lead her to be in Animaniacs. She’s married to Buttons. Her net worth is $9 million.
Pinky: His full name is Alto “Pinky” Cartwright-Carretero. He was born in April 16th 1977 in Detroit, Michigan. He’s mostly of English descent from his mom, Dominican and Japanese descent from his dad, He also has a bit of Moroccan, Filipino and Italian ancestry in general. Pinky isn’t as dumb in real life, he’s actually a snarky, but a little naive, smart-ass, he just plays a dim-witted character in the show, plus the reboot. The reason why Pinky can do a very good Cockney accent is because his mom was fully British and was born in London, England. Since Pinky’s ancestry is 30% English, he is really good at British accents, he was hired to play a role in the Animaniacs’ skit, Pinky And The Brain in 1993 as his first acting role as a dim-witted character. He was born in the middle-class family as he can be quite snobby sometimes. The show started development in April 1992 when Pinky was 15 years old. This was when he first met a 14 year-old Brain and became BFFs. His blood type is O-positive, which he has high-pain tolerance. And just like Yakko, Pinky’s also lactose intolerant. Pinky is married with Billie. He can be a little short-tempered ans a pothead since he sometimes smokes marijuana since he was 16. He’s still a nice guy. His net worth is $18 million.
Brain: His full name is Simon “Brain” Emile-Ash. He was born in July 8th 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is of French-Canadian descent. Growing up Canadian, he and his family relocated to Los Angeles at the age of 13. Brain was friends with Kinos-Squit McKenzie since he was 13 years old. The reason why he landed an acting role of Animaniacs at 14 years old is because he was infamous for the previous crimes he did with Squit, such as buying alcohol illegally and vandalizing someone’s backyard. However, they didn’t go to prison as it was April Fools by Steven Spielberg inviting them to be on a kids show in 1992. He played an intelligent lab mouse in the Animaniacs’ skit, Pinky And The Brain in 1993. The development started in April 1992 when he was 14. He has a new girlfriend but she’s still unknown. He had a few break-ups with Billie and Julia. His net worth is $13 million.
Overall, in 2016, the characters were called back by Steven Spielberg for the reboot as they happily said yes. They were proud that they got to be in the exact show since they were just kids as it reminded them of their childhood.

“Syr Ameril!”
The crowd cheered as the Ardenvale paladin on horseback hurled her javelin through the air. It scored a bullseye on a target all the way on the other side of the arena, prompting yet another bout of cheers from the stands.
“Thank you, thank you!” laughed the knight, as she waved with a gauntleted hand. “Now, I would show you my prowess with a blade.”
Ameril reached into the pack hanging from her saddle for a replacement weapon. What she retrieved, however, gave her pause.
“I…don’t remember packing this one.”
The crowd cheered obliviously as Ameril stared down at the sword of legend, Embercleave. The mythical blade crackled with small motes of fire and lightning as she gingerly lifted it high.
“I don’t know how,” Ameril shrugged, “but if it somehow got in there, I’d wager it’d be all right for me to use.”
Ameril gave Embercleave a few experimental swings, and saw that it made an afterimage of sparks as it cut through the air. She gave a giddy smile, and prepared to resume the tournament when she felt a tap on her shoulder.
“That’s…er…that’s a nice blade there, Ameril.”
Ameril looked over and saw a second knight, sitting on horseback beside her. The new arrival’s gaze was fixed firmly on Embercleave, prompting Ameril to abruptly move it to her other side, snapping her out of her trance.
“Syr Gwyn,” Ameril greeted coldly. “And thank you. Yes, it is impressive, isn’t it?”
“Y-Yeah…” Gwyn anxiously tapped her index fingers together, earning an eye roll from Ameril. The knight wielding Embercleave grimaced at Gwyn’s expectant expression, but ultimately offered her the blade.
“Fine. You can use it,” Ameril sighed. “But! Just for this round of the tournament. Next round, it goes back to me.”
Gwyn cried with joy as she reverently took Embercleave from Ameril’s hands. “Oh, thank you! And of course, it shall immediately go back to you!”
“I’m…sure it will,” Ameril lied through her teeth.
[Scene: Contender digs up an Embercleave from a Syr Gwyn commander deck. But you know, and I know, that so long as Syr Gwyn is out, that thing is never going on anyone else!]

OFW in Cotabato exposed to 1st UK variant patient isolated
#PHnews: OFW in Cotabato exposed to 1st UK variant patient isolated
COTABATO CITY – Health authorities here have confirmed that an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from this city was traced by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for his possible exposure to the first Filipino who has contracted the B.1.1.7 SARS-CoV-2 (United Kingdom) variant.
He is under isolation and has been given a swab test, Dr. Ameril Usman, officer-in-charge of the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), which covers Cotabato City, said in a radio interview on Wednesday.
Usman said health officials are monitoring the OFW closely, although he has not shown any symptoms of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) and appeared healthy.
“According to our surveillance officer, he is on quarantine and still waiting for the official result. If he turned out positive, that will be the time we will send genetic sequencing to Manila,” he said.
The OFW is one of the last two passengers exposed to the first Covid-19 UK variant patient in the country and was traced by National Bureau of Investigation operatives on Tuesday.
He was among the passengers of United Arab Emirates Flight EK 332 that arrived in Manila on January 7. He returned home on January 8.
Usman said the OFW’s close family members are also quarantined and were informed why they have to be isolated. (PNA)

As the blaze raced toward her, Syr Ameril closed her eyes and pictured Castle Ardenvale so her last thoughts would be of home.
—
“Ameril? Are you all right? You’re making that face again.”
The knight startled at the sound of the booming voice above her. Ameril then looked up from the unlit campfire, and gave a strained smile to the enormous dragon looming over her.
“Er, it’s nothing, Fang,” Ameril reassured her draconic friend. “Now, what say you go ahead and dispel some of this darkness?”
The fading light of the sunset was just bright enough to illuminate Fang’s snout twisting into a frown. “Is it the fire?”
“Just light it.”
“Because, if it makes you uncomfortable, I don’t-”
“I said light it!” Ameril bellowed. “King Kenrith ordered us to work together, to show the rest of knight- and dragonkind that we can coexist! Now, what kind of message would it send, if I jumped out of my skin every time you spat an ember?”
Ironically, Fang recoiled up and away from the much smaller Ameril. “W-Well…if the past few campfires are anything to go by, it doesn’t seem like this is helping you acclimate very well.”
Ameril folded her arms with a defeated huff. Fang took this opportunity to lean in close once more, and offer some words of encouragement:
“We’ll work on it.”
“Right…”
“And look on the bright side: I’m pretty sure you’re immune to my fire breath, anyways!”
To prove his point, Fang spat out a gout of flame to light the campfire. A stray bolt of fire flew free from the kindling and bounced harmlessly off of Ameril’s exposed face, which was still protected by the enchantments on her armor. However, this did little to comfort the knight, as she still leapt back in a panic.
“Fang! Why would you…”
Ameril patted her cheek for check for injuries, but felt none. Looking up, she saw Fang wearing a smug smirk, and immediately diverted her gaze in irritation.
“O-Of course, it’s the moments I’m unarmored that I’m worried about…”
“Of course,” Fang grinned.

Marina would lie (flop) down on her bed and listen to nature sound music. Her version of meditating.
Xavier would sit down with a book and some stress relief tea.
Ameril would knit. She only does this when she's anxious. Elora would walk and walk and walk off her nerves.
Kiyi would suck on an ice cube, or a dozen. Cold drinks also help.
Roven would stim. Mostly rocking back and forth clapping his hands in big swinging arcs.
What are your ocs' preferred methods of winding down after a stressful event?
