Little messy doodle. I love this callback so much, we love some new found confidence even if its a little misplaced.

No but I find it really interesting how you can very clearly see a woman with Vivian's glasses within the Arcadian Six photograph and I didn't figure out Vivian was one of the Six until the reveal. Like she isn't even in the background or obsured in any way. She's right there, plain as day, the woman with long hair. But all those times that picture showed up throughout the game, I never noticed the long haired woman had glasses or y'know looked like Vivian. The first time it was shown, I even thought 'ha, bet a detail in this will be relevant later as a clue' yet never actually looked deeper.
And in short, I think that fits with the theme of not caring enough to notice mundane things until you are given a sufficient reason to look their way. I mean, I still couldn't tell you what anyone else in that photograph looked like. Why should I, they don't matter to the narrative so I have no need to pay attention to them.

Oh my goodness! It’s either you guys love the descendent idea, or that Vivian got punched in the face! It’s got to the point that some of the people who created the game liked it on Twitter! So have yourselves a better design of Willow Malton and a defrosted talking head of a dismayed Elijah Walton.

American Arcadia spoilers underneath the cut!
So what exactly are the implications of the baby farm Angela discovers in the Hexagon? Like, are *all* the Arcadia born citizens raised this way? Surely some must be the natural product of relationships between citizens, right? Or are they all just raised by Walton Media until a certain point and then injected into Arcadian society? Like maybe I’m overthinking it but I really can’t wrap my head around this. Is there something obvious I’m overlooking?

Just Some Guy Joust - Side A: Round 3
Tumblr media
Rules you must follow or you will be blocked:
do not diss on any of the characters. hype characters up, don't bring them down.
do not be mean to any other voters, either on a personal level or in general. if you are trying to joke around, you must clarify because we cannot tell the difference.
do not claim a character does not deserve to be here. this includes claiming a character doesn't count as just some guy. if you hate it that much, make your own tournament.
if i genuinely fucked something up and did not notice please GENTLY poke me about it. passive aggressiveness will be ignored.
if you are posting propaganda you have to @ tag us, including if your propaganda is in the reblogs. it is difficult to tell when something is or isn't propaganda. anything not tagging us will be missed.
we see practically everything you put in the tags. don't say some shit that you wouldn't say to our faces. be respectful.

If there ever gets to be a prequel, Vivian’s story is quite familiar to a tragic hero’s story. In this case, the victim(s) returns to their abusers and becomes one of the abusers as well in the process like making a deal with the figurative devil themselves. Trevor on the other hand broke the cycle for now, unless someone does the same thing too, because he had Angela being there him so he won’t relapse.

POSSIBLE SMALL SPOILERS FOR AMERICAN ARCADIA BELOW, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED, THEN DON'T READ ANY FURHTER!
So, since there's a big blizzard that happens during the game in the real world, that would mean the game is set around the winter season in the real world, right? So imagine:
One of the first songs that Trevor heard outside of the dome that didn't originate from American Arcadia was Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is You." Maybe he hears it from Angela's car radio when they're both driving or happening across it on Angela's TV or something. Angela gets annoyed by it(she's heard the damn song way too much at that point) and goes to switch it or turn it off, but she stops when she notices how entranced Trevor is by it.
Trevor can't help but notice how different it sounds when compared to the music that played in the Arcadia dome. After all, the dome was still in the 70s while this song came out in the 90s. Hell, he likes it for the sole fact that it's a song that couldn't be played anywhere in American Arcadia without running the risk of breaking the "fourth wall." So Angela decides to just let the song play out in full, even if it's her own personal version of 'Don't be a Fool.' She lets her friend listen to whatever music he ends up finding, as he deserves to experience the world he was never given the chance to(regardless of how many songs he ends up finding that make her want to pull her hair out from how much she's heard them).

American Arcadia Spoilers Below!
Just wanted to share a couple of interesting Easter eggs I saw in a play through that I haven’t seen anywhere else:
When Angela enters the realignment area, there is a corridor with shutters on the windows - and a hexagon level button. If you try to press it, number six/Vivian will repeatedly try to convince you NOT to press it, but if you persist, Angela does it anyway and the shutters open, revealing that the Jingle is being fed to Arcadian citizens as babies, so there’s yet another lie from Vivian when she told Trevor that he was ‘born with it’. (Though I suppose we already knew that)
Also, a slightly more light-hearted secret; when Trevor is going through the re-alignment process, you can still enter the camera mode, where you can see Trevor in the car tripping out

Today is my last day of being 24. So, to celebrate, here's something I've been working on the side. I wanted to try out the American Arcadia style as a challenge. Have colored versions of Willow Malton and Elijah Walton. If you guys want to use this concept in your American Arcadia Fanfics or Fanart, have fun with these two. Even Out of the Blue studio can have this for free if they want to make a sequel if the demand is there.
If you are struggling with ideas and need a backstory to brainstorm: The local Broadway actress and dancer about to have her breakout performance has her life ruined by a DNA 23 and Me test dare. Now, given the custody of a talking head of her grandfather/great-grandfather, to have it all, she'll have to dance and run for her life.
