Adventuresses of World
Adventuress Amelia Earhart was a pioneer of aviation.
She was the first woman to cross the Atlantic by air (in 1928), the first woman to make a solo transatlantic flight, and the first aviator to successfully fly across the Pacific from Honolulu to Oakland.
During her career, she set numerous records and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross by Congress, the Gold Medal by the National Geographic Society, and was recognized as a Chevalier by the French Legion of Honor before disappearing in the South Pacific in 1937.
Earhart spent her Junior year in high school attending St. Paul Central High School in St. Paul, MN.
St. Paul will host Miss Fisher Con 2023 next summer!
