November 6th

A regular Saturday evening, nothing really special about it. Nothing but a headspace of emptiness in an over accessorized room. Glaring at the wall won’t do anything. You really are useless. The sound of silent voices and the movement of picking on healing scabs. Afterwards, the voices had gotten slightly more quiet and the picking stopped. A girl had finally stopped rotting about in her room, twitching her eye a little. This girl is Riley Nevaeh Taylor Green, or just Riley. She had finally gotten up from just staring her existence away, letting out a huff. She left her room to find where her siblings are, anxiously pulling her curly black hair. Her life wasn’t good since birth, being born with Autism and developing schizophrenia and anxiety, doing repeated impulsive acts. It makes her feel miserable that she’s been cursed with so much. The suicide hotline is basically screaming for a pickup phone call. It ruined her chance to even socialize with anybody. The only place where she could find comfort is with her siblings, her dad, Lizzie, her small friend circle, and Kittayoi. While walking in the hallway, she saw her mom enter from the front door, well, her step-mom Amber, that is. She wore a white collared shirt with a flannel, as well as some regular mom jeans. Riley didn’t like Amber, holding a GIANT grudge against her. When her dad was alive, she was always being cruel to him, pushing him to do things he finds uncomfortable . She would also bring her kids over at times, treating Riley and her siblings with zero respect and always getting the bottom of the barrel. Then after Riley’s dad asked for a divorce, Amber ended up getting her family to murder him. It left a giant scar for Riley and her siblings, making them all become more anti-social and lash out on each other with fear of what Amber might do to them. Sometimes, she tries to be nice to them after the passing, but Riley thinks she’s jealous because Riley and her siblings still have connections to their real mom, Rowan, who takes weekly custody. Riley’s step-mom had a bunch of bags in her hands, the one that caught Riley’s eye was some type of video game sticking out of the bag, begging to be let out of the bag. It looked like…. “Kittayoi?!” Riley exclaimed, rushing over to the living room where her step-mom was. She’s always been a big fan of the brand Tok-yan, her favorite character being Kittayoi, the face of Tok-yan. It was just so… mesmerizing to look at, seeing how happy Kittayoi looked with their friends, doing that all with no mouth. Riley wished it was that easy… It had a little note on it, saying: For Riley =). Riley thought it was pretty nice. Maybe it’s a late birthday gift? Riley took the item that was in the bag, sneaking away to the living room to play it on her 3DS. Riley was super excited to play the game, hoping it was immersive enough to make Riley forget about her troubles. The game was oddly charming, having pretty pixelated characters in bright colors and having space-like atmospheres. The characters also had voice acting, which surprised Riley a little, knowing most of the games she plays just had regular mute dialogue. The story was pretty simple, it was a space adventure with Kittayoi (like always) to fight off Starknutzi, the main antagonist. It was a simple, yet immersive game. It would also help Riley with forgetting all her problems and all the fighting and misery that she had gained from all that had happened. “I wish Kittayoi would take me away from all my shitty problems…” Riley muttered, putting all their focus on the game. Riley thought it would be better, nicer to be trapped in a game of her own. The game would also help her forget about feeling watched by something…. No eyes… No face..                  LAYER  001 :   THE  OUTSIDE.

NAME.  William Donovan Talbot | Liam Talbot EYE COLOR.  Amber with specks of green HAIR STYLE / COLOR.   Naturally mouse brown, unruly and curly-wavy if not cut short; which is why he usually wears it short. Every now and then he decides to bleach the fuck outta his hair, too. HEIGHT.  perfectly a v e r a g e 5′9″ CLOTHING STYLE.  Usually a layer-look consisting of oversized band shirt, hooded sweatshirt and leather jacket paired with snug fitted jeans and trainers or boots.  BEST PHYSICAL FEATURE.   His bum His cheeky impish/boyish grin

                 LAYER  002 :   THE  INSIDE.

FEARS.  Not being good enough, abandonment, canines of all sorts, relapsing (blood magic) GUILTY  PLEASURE.   Nothing legal, so I won’t advertise it BIGGEST  PET  PEEVE.   Pet-peeves are for beginners, true drama-queens take full-offense in everything.  AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE.   There are probably a few songs out there he’s looking forward to master on guitar in the future; other than that he’s not exactly one of the planning type. If there’s anything he’s ambitious about though it’s about improving musically as well as magically 

                 LAYER  003 :   THOUGHTS.

FIRST  THOUGHTS  WAKING  UP.   ’Coffeeeee~’ THINKS  ABOUT  MOST.  How to get out of the predicament he’s just landed himself in. Again.  THINKS  ABOUT  BEFORE  BED.  Nothing much or overly specific; he doesn’t have troubles falling asleep, so the time span for pre-sleepy-times-thoughts is usually extremely short.  WHAT  THEY  THINK  THEIR  BEST  QUALITY  IS.   He thinks his best and worst quality is his magic.

                 LAYER  004 :   WHAT’S  BETTER ?

SINGLE  OR  GROUP  DATES.   Single. Group-dates are just hanging out with the mates, there is no such thing as a date if it involves more than two people. TO  BE  LOVED  OR  RESPECTED.  Loved. Even if it meant he was loved by one and respected by none, he’d still choose love. Though he believes respect should be a vital part of any relationship. BEAUTY  OR  BRAINS.   Brains. As in someone like-minded, not necessarily someone of the intellectual kind. DOGS  OR  CATS.   Cats. He fucking fears hates dogs (and he pretty much behaves like a cat, so… duh)

LIE.   Yep. Every day. Extensively. And he’s pretty much a shit liar when forced to make stuff up as he goes. BELIEVE  IN  THEMSELVES.   Nope. Usually not. Unless he’s high as fuck on magic. Has jumped off a high building with a levitation spell he’s never used before. That sort of misguided confidence is what we’re talking here. BELIEVE  IN  LOVE.  Of course. Everyone he falls in love with is his one true love until, well, he realises they’re not. But he’s out there, somewhere, and one day they’ll meet. WANT  SOMEONE.   Generally speaking: yes; save for short interludes of ‘everyone fuck off and leave me alone’

                   LAYER  006 :   HAVE  THEY  EVER…

BEEN  ON  STAGE.   As a musician, yes, numerous times. (But never anything fancy or big) DONE  DRUGS.   Yes.  GOTTEN  DRUNK.  Yeah. CHANGED  WHO  THEY  WERE  TO  FIT  IN.   He’d never change for anyone, but he’s always looking for somewhere he’d fit in.

                   LAYER  007 :   FAVORITES.

FAVORITE COLOR.   Anthracite grey, nightly shades of blue, black FAVORITE  ANIMAL.   Koalas…? Dunno, I feel compelled to write that FAVORITE  MOVIE.   The Lost Boys and Live And Let Die FAVORITE  GAME.   Guitar Hero at the arcades; doesn’t help much if you know how to play an actual guitar, but he slays this game no less. 

                   LAYER  008 :   SLEEP.

HEAVY  OR  LIGHT  SLEEPER.  Depends: heavy when in the safety of his home, light when sleeping on the streets or at a stranger’s place WHAT  SIDE  OF  THE  BED  DO  THEY  SLEEP  ON.  All the bed. WHAT  DO  THEY  WEAR  TO  BED.   Same what he’s been wearing all day, usually minus shoes and jacket, preferably minus socks, trousers and hoodie as well, naked when in good company. WEIRD  THINGS  THEY  DO  IN  THEIR  SLEEP.  He has an always expressive face, even in his sleep, pulling grimaces and such; also does fucking hog the blanket(s) 

                  LAYER  009 :   LOVE.

BIG  DECLARATIONS  OR  SMALL.   Small but persistently OPEN  OR  CLOSED  OFF.  Always open to (and starving for) love, yet at times reluctant about admitting his feelings LOVE  AT  FIRST  SIGHT  OR  SLOW  BURN.  Affinity at first sight, everything else is a slow burn from there on. ONE  TRUE  LOVE  OR  A  STRING.  One true love; but finding it is a whole different story; besides, Liam is aware what True Love can do to people, knowing that his mum lost hers and she never learned to cope

2nd wand: Laurel with a phoenix feather core and a tourmalinated quartz handle. 12 inches long. Like most laurel wands, it has the particularity of spontaneously sending a lightning bolt to whoever wants to grab it. 

Animagus: None. Penny left the "animagi" potion in the potions classroom and a student spilled the bottle during an inventory. Annie refused the torture of keeping a mandrake leaf in her mouth for another month!

Boggart: Voldemort, until her reunion with Jacob at the end of the 5th year. Later, Rowan's death awakens some unresolved childhood pain. Boggart then takes the successive forms of all her loved ones, leaving her, reflecting her visceral fear of abandonment.

FAMILY

Aliénor THORN née NEVERS (mother): A Franco-American witch, who arrived in England at 7 and works for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She broke up with Peregrine when Annie was 5 years old because of her husband's repeated absences because he preferred his career - A lock of white hair appeared the day after they broke up - She brought up her two children alone until Jacob's disappearance which destroyed her. To compensate for this loss, Annie tried to be more talented than Jacob and more responsible and helpful than any child her age, without understanding that a child cannot replace the one lost.

Peregrine THORN (father): an English wizard who lost his parents at a young age. He is a tracker so passionate about his work that he often neglects his home, a fact that wearies Aliénor who prefers to break up with him. However, he never grants her a divorce. After that, he visits his children less and less until he disappears from circulation when Jacob disappears.

Jacob Orpheus THORN (brother): a wizard prodigy who does what he can to help his mother after his parents' separation. He has a strong grudge against his father, who has gradually abandoned them. Following his dangerous search for the cursed Vaults and his subsequent expulsion from Hogwarts, Jacob disappeared a few months after the fall of Voldemort. He was found trapped in a cursed vault eight years later. He will stop at nothing to protect his family and he is the typical example of a guy who does bad things for good reasons.

ROMANCES

Barnaby Lee: First boyfriend. He is a good friend who confessed to having a crush on Annie in the 5th year just before the Valentine's Day Ball. They dated for 19 months before Annie realised that her strong temperament overcame Barnaby's much softer and more accommodating one. He is the boy of all her first times. As a result, she still has a special fondness for him.

Jae Kim: Thwarted Love. From their first meeting, they have a friendly crush that turns into a friendship with benefits in 7th year, from which sincere feelings blossom that are hindered by circumstances. But whether they are friends, lovers, partners, friends with benefits, or a little of all of these, Jae and Annie are not about to leave each other. One could write an essay based on their relationship.

Charlie Weasley: Summer Passion 1991. Above all, Charlie is a great friend, one of the best, who doesn't hesitate to tell Annie what she needs to hear, rather than what she wants to hear. This can cause some sparks to fly!

They have a brief, intense passion that ends when Annie breaks up with Charlie, who has just been accepted into the Romanian Dragon Reserve, so as not to clip his wings and because she fears being abandoned again. They meet again after the war and go out together, until they realise that desire and nostalgia are not a strong enough glue to bind their too different conceptions of a love relationship. They realise that it would never have worked between them and they break up as good friends. This time, without regret.

Sam BLACKWOOD (OC): He was Annie's boyfriend from 31 October 1996 until 14 November 1998, when he broke up with her after months of cheating on her with Mona Macnair.

OTHERS RELATIONSHIPS

Rowan KHANNA: Her first and best friend, who died in February 1990. Rowan is a studious, exceptionally well-read witch who aspires to be a teacher at Hogwarts. Her need to understand, her insight and her keen sense of logic sometimes lead her to ask many questions. This can be useful when dealing with someone who is trying to trick her, but dangerous in the darker circles where Jae Kim sometimes drags Annie.

Bill WEASLEY: her surrogate brother, a mentor and an example to follow. They have always kept in touch despite the distance. Understanding her motives, he never resented her for breaking up with his brother, even defending her to his own mother and Percy.

Ben COPPER: Annie and Ben are good friends until Ben's sudden personality change tests their affinity. Bound by grief, they become close again after Rowan's death, until professional life drives them apart.

TONKS: a good friend whose good humour is infectious. They will become very close during their Auror training.

Tulip KARASU: dormate- Annie sees Tulip's friendship with Merula as an endorsement of her misdeeds. So Annie is very suspicious of her. Later, she witnesses her voluntary isolation after her fight with Merula. Only necessity and the insistence of her friends make her forget her prejudices and get to know this fun, quick-witted and unconventional girl.

Badeea ALI: dormate- She devotes herself entirely to her art, so that Badeea spends very little time in her dormitory. Annie and Badeea have a cordial but distant relationship until 5th year, when they become friends.

Penny HAYWOOD: This talented potionist is one of Annie's best friends.

Mona MACNAIR (OC): She is the daughter of the notorious executioner, and also a Death Eater, Walden Macnair. In 1997, she ran away from her father's authority because she does not share his supremacist ideals. Sam helps her to hide before falling in love with her. In January 1999, they moved to the United States.

Merula SNYDE: They hate each other from the moment they meet. Over the years, circumstances encourage them to cooperate, and sometimes even to open up to each other, but Annie doesn't trust her. "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" is a saying that Annie applies to the letter. Their graduation and original career choices end their rivalry and their relationship becomes more peaceful.

Fergus LARSEN (OC): He is the very popular dark-haired, azure-eyed man who collects conquests like others collect chocolate frogs. But he is also a stalker, manipulative and perverse. One day, Annie violently interrupts one of his worst misdeeds and humiliates him without denouncing him, for a still secret reason, thus sowing the seeds of a fierce discord.

R: After Rowan's murder, Annie is determined to neutralise them.

AT HOGWARTS

House: Ravenclaw. 

Best subjects: Charm, transfiguration, DADA and astronomy.

Worst subjects:

-Herbology. She claims that her poor results are the fault of Tonks, who hide Jelly Slugs in her pots, but the truth is that she has no green thumb at all.

-Divination. She has no interest in it. Since it's become clear that Trelawney is very fond of sinister predictions, Talbott, Barnaby, Ismelda and Annie compete to invent the worst ones. Surprisingly, it works!

-History of Magic. If explained or commented on by Binns, even the most exciting Quidditch match would be a bore.

Favourite teacher: Filius Flitwick. He is always positive, available, and happy to teach her anything she asks. He is also the one who introduced her to martial duelling. Bonus point: he always welcomes the students in his office with cakes.

Least favourite teacher: Severus Snape. His favouritism for Slytherin students irritates her, and despite his apologies, she is still mad at him for reading her note to her crush in front of the entire class. That said, she admits Snape is a more complex and nuanced person than his coldness and recurring sarcasm would suggest.

Quidditch: Beater until the middle of the 6th year. Grieving and focused on fighting R, she missed a lot of practice and her performance dropped off after Rowan's death. Orion was therefore forced not to select her in 7th year. Annie struggled to come to terms with what she initially saw as rejection, before realising through Charlie and Erika Rath that quidditch was more of a hobby for her than a priority, unlike the rest of her team.

AFTER HOGWARTS

July 1991 - July 1992: She joins the Auror Training Centre with Tonks, Ben and Talbott. Mad Eye, who had recently left active service, was heavily involved in the training of their class.

July 1992 - July 1993: After passing her exams, she joins the Aurors' Office as an Apprentice and finishes her training in the field under the tutelage of experienced Aurors.

6 July 1993 - 01 août 1993: Disobeying all protocols and worse, her superiors, she acts to get Jae Kim out of Azkaban.

October 1994 - June 1995: Confirmed Auror. She takes part in the security of the Triwizard Tournament.

1 July 1995: She is invited with Tonks and Winger to a secret meeting where she is officially invited to join the Order of the Phoenix. She refuses. Although she understands the need to protect Harry Potter, she is more concerned about the fate of Voldemort's other potential targets who do not have the protection of elite wizards like those in the Order of the Phoenix. Annie therefore prefers to keep her autonomy and freedom of action.

September 1995: Chiara Lobosca's pack has fallen under the control of Fenrir Greyback. Annie and Jae help her escape to France using Jae's smuggling networks, while the Auror covers her tracks within the Ministry, which is riddled with enemies. Other peaceful werewolves will also call on them.

December 1995: Moved by the attack on Arthur Weasley by Nagini, she takes on some of his shifts at the Department of Mysteries while he recovers.

January 1996 - June 1997: Many wizards loyal to Dumbledore fear for their families and seek to keep them out of the coming conflict. Annie and Jae Kim perfect their exfiltration methods.

June 1997 - May 1998: Requests to flee the country are flooding in after Voldemort's ascension to the Ministry is confirmed. They set fallback points up in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Iceland and Spain.

Night of 1-2 May 1998: Battle of Hogwarts.

November 1998: Annie is dumped by her boyfriend, Sam Blackwood, who has been cheating on her for almost a year.

December 1998: Resigns as an Auror.
