Ooooo, Fresh Air?

This is kind of a Hyrule blood curse idea!

Rather than always being on the run to protect his blood, Hyrule is kept safe (and trapped) in the palace, other than when he manages to sneak out for fresh air.

During his travels with the chain he gets a glimpse of each of their worlds, and while they smell sweet like a garden, it’s often too much for Rulie and he’s always on the verge of sneezing at it.

“Ack! What is that?” Warriors waved a hand in front of his face, his nose scrunched in distaste.

“Something smells rotten,” Legend said, glancing around the area.

Hyrule ignored them as he picked himself up off of the dirt and breathed deep of the familiar, fresh air. It wasn’t garden sweet and it didn’t make his nose tickle. A grin spread across his face. “Oh, it’s good to be home.”

I love the idea of all of this chaos early on. For Link, the colors, and his dad I’m sure that took a lot of getting used to and that alone sounds like it could make for some really funny stories. 😂

Ooooooooh, if you ever do write that story of the colors going to save Link I’d love to read it. That sounds really interesting!! 😯

And I love the idea of each color growing separately! I wonder if since they each specialize in a certain aspect, as they grow on their own can they outdo Link in whatever aspect they inherited (like your example of Vio ending up smarter than Link- or Blue ending up… braver? More decisive?)? 🤔 If that makes any sense. 😅

I wanna hear about your Four Swords AU!!

Do they share all of Link’s memories before the split? If so, after they fail to re-combine, how do they go about dealing with that? Who owns Link’s stuff? How do Link’s relatives react? Do they ever end up going on any more adventures after that?

How do the four of them feel about being separate even after their adventure? Do they get along in normal life type stuff? Do they pick up new hobbies?

(And I’d totally love to see them if you drew them! 😄)

Who owns Link's stuff? Link does, but he quickly resigned from keeping them when the other colors acted like they own them and started fighting lol, so he let them have whatever they want.

How do Link's relatives react? Link's father definitely went: "O.O now I have four sons when previously I had one". He's cool with it though.

Do they ever end up going on any more adventures after that? I do have a story idea where Link is kidnapped and Blue, Vio, and Red have to go find him :3

How do the four of them feel about being separate even after their adventure? They're cool with it. You see, Link isn't incomplete when Blue, Vio, and Red appears. They're different versions of him, embodying a part of his personality, like part of a clone. Over time, they grow from one-note personality into their own beings. They don't think of becoming one person since that one person already exists. What I am really saying is that if Blue, Red, and Vio ever merged then they would be exactly like Link.

Do they get along in normal life type stuff? Oh, yeah. I guess it was kind of hard in the beginning since for example, Blue ran around doing crazy chaotic stuff without the reasoning of Vio, but eventually as he got older he got some sense of reasoning. Probably not a lot but still there.

Do they pick up new hobbies? Definitely XD. Vio took up reading and chess-playing as a hobby, making him smarter even more than Link.
