Imagine: Your Eclipse being a wonderful husband and preparing bento box lunches for Y/N for work. He calls them "husbento" boxes. Y/N has accepted that enduring bad puns for all eternity is a small price to pay for some excellent food.
Amary, I'm shaking you and maybe crying a bit ngl over how sweet and infuriatingly cute that is of an imagine... Husbento...... 🥺💕💕💕
Also, this seems more like a writing thing so lemme cook up a quick drabble.
Title : Husbento From Yours Truly
Tags : Fluff, intimate touches (non-se#ual), romance, romantic-leaning, suggestive themes (for only like 1 line-ish? but it's more to cuddles context lol), female reader, security guard turned office worker reader, Eclipse-centric

Synopsis : You realise that maybe being married ain't half bad. For the umpteeth time.

You wake up a few minutes earlier than your alarm clock to find your bed empty and cold despite being covered in a thick blanket. Where did your husband go? You try to smush your face back into your pillows to regain your precious sleep before inevitably giving up and just bringing your sorry behind to the shower. It'll warm you up in the meantime and you had work to prepare for so no more sleeping in allowed. Stifling a yawn with your hand, you wash your face and gingerly brush your teeth. Then, you stepped into the warm shower, letting it wash away your sleepiness.
Ah, bliss. Simple joy. Turning the shower off and drying yourself quickly, you put on your work clothes. It's snug and comfortable as you rush to tidy up your hair and then you were out of your shared room, almost flying off the stairs. Landing with a soft thump, you make way to the kitchen, where you find one of your husbands, Eclipse preparing your lunchbox.
Let's see what elaborate design he's prepared for you this time?
You peek over his forearm, not quite tall enough to reach his shoulder and hug him from behind. "Mornin, Clippy.", you murmur, zoning in on the food that was being organised. His extra pair of hands emerge, handling the food instead while he turns his torso and greets you with a quick kiss, hugging you back. "Good morning, Angel-eyes.", he murmurs upon your temple. You step back from the hug and he lets go, letting you sit down on the chair next to him. A hand delicately pets your hair before he puts in more things he had specially carved for consumption.
An assortment of patted down rice, some eggrolls sliced, cherry tomatoes and small orbs that were most like some form of fruit? You observed the colors and confirmed it to be watermelons and sneaked a piece. He gently swats at your hand with a, "Hey!" but not hard enough for it to fall. You eat it with no remorse. "What? It's just one...", you pouted while chewing. He rolls his faceplate in the semblance of an eye roll and continues his sorting.
There are cute toothpicks put on said cherry tomatoes and fruit while he was expertly putting tiny dots of sauce on the octopus-shaped hotdogs, placing them on top of the rice gently with chopsticks. It's cute as you study him, so concentrated. Eclipse's hands were steady, ultimately made for this kind of handicraft. He pinches your side when he's finished, crossing his upper arms with a satisfied sigh as he inspected his results. "Ouch!", you yelp, whacking his arm. "That's for stealing the watermelon before it was ready.", he side eyes you. Then, he leans down and plants a kiss on your lips. "That's for pinching you, love.", he chuckles.
You begrudgingly melt over the sweet gesture and turn away with a huff. "You can pretend you don't enjoy my kisses all you want but now, you're seriously late and should get going, sweetness.", he pats your back to get you to stand up. With a roll of your own eyes in retaliation, you arise from the chair as jokingly slow as possible with a steady expression. His eye twitches and he impatiently straightens you himself. You lean against him and he finds himself being swaddled in a hug again, this time, from the front. "Angel-eyes......", his voice box turns static-y, a touch of warning with the way Moon's voice seeps into it. You smile into his chassis that was covered by the frilly apron you bought him as a joke.
He ended up liking it too much, which was the opposite of the reaction you were hoping for initially. "Goodbye kiss?", you shyly lift your head and give him your best doe eyes. He heaves a long sigh, exasperated and smitten all the same. "You do know that I'm very bad at holding back.", he reminds you, the eye on his left turning red. A grin creeps up on your lips, smug as you continue to entice him consciously. Yep, consciously. You've long past seen his thinly veiled threats and were able to handle such things after awhile.
"...hm. Make up for it later then.", you tiptoe slightly to kiss his chin. He giggles and says, "Thank goodness." You giggle along with him. "Oh, oh! Before I forget-" You sound a hum of inquiry. "I finally know what to name these lunchboxes after some time.", he starts off. You wait for him to explain, wrapping your arms around his middle in anticipation, eyes wide with attentiveness. "It's a...", he drawls, giddy with excitement, quickly stifling it with a fake cough. "Husbento." One. Two. Three seconds tick by as you process. A hearty laughter comes out after the fourth and his rays spin happily. "Hahaha- no wait that's - pfffthahaha - perfect!", you laugh into his chassis. It was terrible in an endearing way. Of course! Of course it would be called that. It was so, so cute - Eclipse hums, "I'm happy to know that.", pleased with your reaction.
These silly jesters and their puns. Every opportunity was definitely spent well. You laugh away the last of your giggles and kiss him fully this time, pulling him by the ruffles, making sure he feels your smile. You lower back down with a, "Bad puns.... Honestly, a small price to pay for excellent food, I guess. I love you. Oh my gosh hahaha-", you clamp your mouth again with a grin instead and pull away. "Thank you though and oh - warm me up tonight, okay?", you wink flirtatiously, sending another flying kiss as you open the door. His rays spin rapidly this time as he catches the flying kiss with a dreamy sigh.
"Will do, Angel-eyes, have a nice day!" You send him one last grin before booking it to your car, your lunch - oh pardon - husbento in hand and carefully tucked into a lunchbag.
You were late but this was a great start to your day nonetheless.
The End.

Idol Land PriPara Episode 12
The end... or is it?
The episode opens with My Dream back at school, at lunchtime. Yui is double-fisting rice balls. Shogo walks by and complains about how loudly she's enjoying herself, so Yui throws his baby pictures everywhere. In other words, everything is back to normal.
While Yui and Shogo are fighting, the remaining members of WITH and MyDre acknowledge they will be holding a surprise promise for Yui later that day.
Meanwhile, Amari is at her desk looking through her old notebook and acknowledging all of her idol dreams have been coming true one by one. She stops when she reaches the place where Mario's page was ripped out, and looks down sadly at the blank space.
Later, at PriPara, Mirei and Shion discuss how things are returning to normal. All of the idols are full of dreams again and it's all thanks to Yui. But, it's thanks to Amari that Yui was returned to normal, so everyone surrounds Amari and thanks her.
However, even after everything that happened in the last episode, there are still some bugs floating around Idol Land. (...Feels familiar.)
The others talk about Mario's disappearance and wonder where he is. Amari says, "He's gone," but the others don't quite get it. Nino says it was rude he disappeared without saying goodbye.
I guess they really did not notice he uhh... burned to death...........
Amari looks down sadly again but only Laala acknowledges it.
Meanwhile in DanPri, all the boys are hard at work cleaning up the mess Mario made. Including Ushimitsu, who is doing his best to remind Shinya of his past using uhh... puppets? (Ninja voodoo dolls? I don't know the actual name for these haha.)
But he is unsuccessful. Shinya is STILL brainwashed even though Mario is gone. Ushimitsu is out of options. HARAKIRI IT IS.
Asahi is able to stop him, however, as WITH arrives to help.
"Leave it to me," says Koyoi as Asahi's eyes light up with fear, reminded of Koyoi's dark past. It can't be that bad, Asahi.......
OH
I GUESS THIS IS JUST HOW WE SOLVE PROBLEMS IN PRIPARA NOW
EVERYONE FIGHTING EVERYONE IDOLS
hahahahaha
Meanwhile, Yui arrives in Idol Land, annoyed at being left behind. She's quickly whisked away by Nino and Michiru, as not to ruin the surprise.
Also meanwhile, SoLaMi Dressing, Hibiki, Amari, Meganii, Meganee, and the managers., are having a meeting to decide what to do about the bugs still appearing around Idol Land. Amari shakily raises her hand.
"D-D-Do we really have to exterminate them?" she says, launching into a stuttering, rambly rant disagreeing with Hibiki about how she doesn't exactly like the bugs either, but the line between love and hate isn't that simple. In fact, they are basically the same, because even after hard times you can still see a blue sky in the end so storms and sunny days are basically the same and and AND... (before collapsing on the table).
"I AGREE WITH AMARI-CHAN!!!" says Laala. Immediately.
Everyone else agrees as well, except for Hibiki of course, but they are far outnumbered.
Meganii says there is still a lot they don't yet know about Idol Land, and it's possible the bugs are connected to that, so perhaps it's best to leave them for now. As Meganii speaks we see Gaaruru walking through the woods as bugs follow behind her. Gaaruru tells the bugs she doesn't care, and they can do what they want.
After the meeting ends, Amari and Laala are walking together in a deserted hallway.
"If only we could have become friends with Mario," Laala says, causing Amari to stop walking. Amari asks if Laala knew what happened to Mario, and Laala says she guessed based on how Amari was acting.
Amari says that thanks to Laala she finally understood that Mario had meaning to her. But, she realized a little too late.
Laala takes Amari's hand and says, "But I think he was really happy! That he was able to save you! That you cared about him!"
"Thank you, Laala..." Amari says as she starts to cry. The two laugh together.
Meanwhile, MyDream is touring Idol Land while the battle between Shinya and Koyoi continues to escalate into by far the most violent thing we've ever seen in Pretty Series.
Goddamn.
And Amamiya is still trapped in the toilet....
Thinking this is some kind of fate that has been thrust upon him, he starts working to make the toilet so clean that uhh...
He hallucinates toilet goddess Mirei...???
The implication I think is that his love for her overflows and gets him out, but we never actually are shown that. His love overflows from the stall and um, next scene.
Nino and Michiru are about to head back with Yui, when.... uhhh...
So, these are Haniwa. I believe the implication is like.... MyDream disturbed Ajimi's ancestral family burial site??? in PriPara????????????
Back at the stage, everyone is ready but MyDream is nowhere to be found. The crowd is getting restless, especially the animals. But no worries, Fuwari knows just what to do...
Sing a new solo in a new recolored outfit!! Prominently featuring her occasional sentence enter, "-nachu"!
And so we get Fuwari singing this lovely, calming song, inter-spliced with like Hibiki dropping their tea and Shinya/Koyoi still fighting (oh lord).
New Making Drama too!
Back in DanPri, a badly bruised and battered Koyoi and Shinya have finally come to a standstill. Apparently Shinya "had fun", "let's do this again".... (the others stare blankly). Back to normal, I guess.
Finally, MyDream arrives and Yui finds out about her surprise. They hop from an air balloon, coord changing in mid-air (AiPri style? haha).
New coords, new song, new Making Drama...
NEW TEAM CYALUMES TOO!!!
After the performance, Non Sugar wheels out Janice in a baby carriage, who congratulates them. Janice thanks Amari for protecting PriPara as well, who has the reaction you would expect she would have being addressed by a goddess (even a baby one).
Janice turns to the audience and explains that she still hasn't returned to her full power, and therefore is unable to carry out her duties as goddess in this form. Thus, she will be giving temporary goddess powers to.... FALULU!
Falulu is (temporarily) a PriPara GODDESS!!
This kinda reminds me of... umm... *mumble mumble King of Prism something something*
Hibiki leads Falulu to the stage, who is calmly surprised by this announcement. The time twins give her a goddess staff.
Fuwari asks Falulu what she will do in her first act as goddess. Ignoring the selfish requests from Meganii and Dorothy, she says she does have something she's been wanting to do...
And so, getting everyone together habitat for humanity style, Falulu has everyone build Pololo a house... T_T After being a roof for others for so long, she finally has a roof of her own.....
Falulu says she will continue to use everyone's power to make everyone's dreams come true!
As the credits roll, we cut to Amari back in the lunchroom at school. She's holding her tray and looking at a group of girls sitting across the room.
Mario's hand appears behind her, giving her a push, as she passes through an invisible barrier, and begins to approach them...
In the voiceover, Amari says, "I have a dream. A dream to enjoy my high school life!"
The time twins curl up together in THE CUTEST PAJAMAS (want), talking about how today was a great day, and tomorrow will be a great day too. We pan to the Takara Tomy logo in the night sky, and the episode ends.
WOW, what a wonderful and also depressing episode to end on.
I really REALLY REALLY thought Mario was going to come back.
Well he did, but he didn't. His hand pushing Amari at the end could have easily been her imagination. But then again, that's basically the same thing, isn't it?
I also super related to that scene WOW. I often feel like, even though I know how to be social, I know I can approach people and make friends..... I just have this invisible barrier around me, and I have to be either right in the perfect mood, or I have to be making a very conscious effort to pass through it. If I'm taken by surprise by someone approaching me in public, I often keep the barrier up and try to leave the conversation as quickly as possible. The more I've adjusted to being back in America, the more I've improved at getting that barrier down and socializing with people when I'm at cons and events and stuff. So it was pretty cool to see something like that represented visually.
So, lots of new coords, songs, making dramas... we've always got lots of new stuff in episodes before, but this was the first time it actually made me sad. Because up until now I knew we would probably get the new coords at least, and there was a glimmer of hope in me that maybe, just maybe, we might get a new song or making drama SOMEday but.... with the lackluster updates this past month, who knows if we'll be getting anything at all anymore. So, I spent a lot of this episode sadly yearning for the arcade days of knowing for sure all the new content would be available to experience soon.........
*sigh*
When they made this episode they were planning on a season 2. SURELY. Or at least, they certainly left the possibility open.
SO MUCH is still unresolved. Like yeah, Yui's back, but all the other stuff from episode 0? The update that went wrong, and the bugs, and losing PriParis and all that stuff..... (I've got watch that again)
I'm scared now that they are gonna resolve that in the Hibiki comic instead.....................
BUT MARIO
Mario should come back. Mario DESERVES to come back.
IT'S. NOT. FAIR.
And Falulu has goddess powers!? Like, for the foreseeable future we're just leaving her like that.
So like. In my other post I denied that Laalulu, the 10th/1000th-anniversary character would have anything to do with Idol Land.
But like, seeing Falulu get goddess powers is making me somewhat rethink that. Like, I dunno, I feel like this could be connected somehow. Maybe.
LIKE.......... THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES TO GO FROM HERE.
Not to mention for all we know AMAMIYA IS STILL IN THE TOILET
COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
please

Titans send DeAndre Hopkins to the Chiefs for a late draft pick.
By: BenJarmin Munguia
Date: October 23rd, 2024
The Chiefs are finally getting some help after being plummeted with injuries.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs are finalizing a trade with the Tennessee Titans to send the 12-year veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chefs. NFL insider Ian Rapport stated that the Titans will receive a fifth-round pick that may turn into a fourth-round pick.
The reigning Super Bowl Champs are in much-needed help at wide receiver, Kansas City has been dealing with injuries all season, with wide receiver Hollywood Brown suffering a shoulder injury before the regular season start that landed him on IR, another wide receiver Rashee Rice sustained a severe knee injury in Week 4 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Chargers that need surgery and put him on IR, alongside, star running back Isiah Pacheco broke his fibula that also put him on IR. It's safe to say the Chiefs are thin at star players.
The trade of Hopkins gives Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes another weapon, which he could use to push for their third straight Super Bowl trip.
Hopkins caught 15 catches for 173 yards and one touchdown this season with the Tennessee Titans. Hopkins also suffered a torn MCL before the season started. Hopkins hasn't missed a game this season.
Hopkins wasn't the first receiver to be traded this month. Las Vegas Raiders sent wide receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets for a 2025 third-round pick, and the Buffalo Bills received wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns for a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick.
At this point, this works out for both teams. Tennessee is 1-5 and has no hope for this season; expect to 'rebuild' again. The Chiefs are trying to complete a historic run, becoming the first team in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in a row.

I wish I could remember the names of my comrades... My Sensei....
the Kunoichi in my team, I have an idea of a name. Amari? I'm not sure, but it feels kinda right. Close. I mostly remember the color of her hair, the fact that she'd bring us red bean rice cakes...
My teammate.. I remember he always ate my food as quickly as you'd breathe air lol. He loved tuna rice balls, so I'd make them frequently. I can't remember his name, but he helped me train until I got more confident in my abilities and in myself.
I remember I wanted to become stronger than my Sensei, and he was very light hearted and kind in nature. I... I can almost remember his smile. It's so close but too far to reach. He told me my team would become my new family, and we would always help each other be stronger. He said we would always be able to depend on each other....
I made friends some time after they had died, and I got really close to Asuma Sensei, Guy Sensei and their teams. They taught me a lot. But it's still so bittersweet to remember so little about my team... I miss them so much, and yet I can just barely remember them.. I hope they're doing okay in this life. I hope they're happy, and not alone. Part of me hopes that they remember, if only a little... That when they eat food that's similar to shG I used to make, they get a sense of nostalgia and comfort; that they get dreams of picnics under the sun.. I hope they don't remember that day. The day they died alone. I hope they only remember the good parts, if they manage to remember anything at all.

The Five Greatest Wide Receivers In Raiders History
While training camp is still ahead of us this month, let's have some fun. Who are the greatest wide receivers in Las Vegas Raiders history?
The Las Vegas Raiders have a storied lineage at the wide receiver position. The list of wide receivers who have come and gone with the Silver and Black is endless, including Jerry Rice, Jerry Porter, Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and Malcolm Barnwell. Mind you, those are just a handful; we’re talking about decades worth of players. However, let’s maybe narrow it down to five as we await…

The Barbershop
Inspired by the 2002 film The Barbershop, the movie emphasizes the themes of family and the importance of community. In the film, gangs and gun violence circulate the neighborhood but the role of the barbershop is to condemn that. Being a local business in town where everyone knows everyone or where people come to hang out and gossip, it starts to feel like a family. Direct choices such as putting a woman’s hair in cornrows and silhouette figures rocking afro’s are symbolic to African American culture. On this particular evening, a mother who works at The Barbershop receives a visit from her son, Amari, who is on his way to play basketball. At this time, Amari’s mom is cutting a woman’s dead ends from her cornrows. As they drop to the floor, the hair strands read out names of African Americans who have lost their lives to gun violence stemming behind their skin color. Names such as Tamir Rice or Trayvon Martin are shown. To the left, the drainage of the shampoo bowl is enclosed with blood. Collectively, Amari’s mom is trying to wash and cut away the bad roots that tie back to gun violence. With Amari being her only child, she reminds him that as a Black man growing further into adulthood that he must not be caught in other affairs that can lead him down the wrong path.

thank you all for the suggestions!! i have a nice list of books to try now >:D i've collated n loosely ordered them + added notes for reference so i can come back to this whenever i need (and so other folks can use it if they want too!) 🙏 y'all are fantastic i appreciate u taking the time to give me cool books to read
my lil list is below the read-more :)
novels either covering important events in-universe or being foundational to the setting:
Gray Death Trilogy, by William H. Keith, Jr. (which expands into The Saga of the Gray Death Legion past the first 3 books with a few other authors. The original trilogy being the first, third and fourth book respectively ever to be published for the BattleTech Universe.) Set during the Succession Wars Era. "A series of books and stories about Grayson Carlyle and his famed mercenary unit, the Gray Death Legion." Warrior Trilogy, by Michael A. Stackpole. Set during the Succession Wars Era. "Follows the intertwined stories of Justin Xiang Allard, Daniel Allard and the Kell Hounds, and Yorinaga Kurita and the Genyosha in the build-up to the wedding of Hanse Davion and Melissa Steiner and the Fourth Succession War that was launched during the wedding." Blood of Kerensky Trilogy, by Michael A. Stackpole. Transitions the setting from the original Succession Wars Era into the Clan Invasion Era. Betrayal of Ideals, by Blaine Lee Pardoe. Set during the Succession Wars Era. "Narrates the "true" story behind the destruction of Clan Wolverine, making Clan founder Nicholas Kerensky appear in a more sinister light than in official Clan history and revealing many aspects of Clan history as revisionist falsifications." Twilight of the Clans Series, an 8-part series by a number of authors (Blaine Lee Pardoe, Michael A. Stackpole, Thomas S. Gressman, and Robert Thurston.) Covers the end of the Clan Invasion Era. "The Clans, for generations, bided their time waiting for the right opportunity to appear from the Periphery and conquer the Inner Sphere. They risked all at the Battle of Tukayyid – only to be soundly defeated. The results were deadlier than they could ever imagine." Forever Faithful, by Blaine Lee Pardoe. Set at the end of the Twilight of the Clans Series (and the Clan Invasion Era) bridging through the Jihad Era and into the Dark Age Era. Two Clan Smoke Jaguar warriors who survived the destruction of the Clan at the hands of the newly reborn Star League struggle to save the Smoke Jaguars against many different forces looking to exterminate or pilfer and absorb the remnants of the Clan.
side-stories:
Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy, by Robert Thurston. Set throughout the Succession Wars and Clan Invasion Eras. "The story of the fall and redemption of Aidan Pryde, hero of Clan Jade Falcon Ideal War, by Christopher Kubasik. (Note: I'm looking forward to the Commentary™ in this one.) Set during the Clan Invasion Era. "Chronicles the military and ethical dilemmas faced by Sir Paul Masters of the Knights of the Inner Sphere as he fights in a vicious guerrilla war." Far Country, by Peter Rice. Set during the Clan Invasion Era. "The book's protagonists are marooned in an unknown star system with no chance whatsoever to return to or communicate with known space, effectively separating them from the rest of humanity. The story therefore has no impact on the fictional history of the BattleTech universe. As far as everyone else is concerned, the protagonists simply vanished in a jump accident and are presumed dead." (This is the fun controversial one where there are aliens >:) ) Ghost of Winter, by Stephen Kenson. Set during the Clan Invasion Era. "A stand-alone tale about the defense of a minor Periphery planet against invading bandits. It is the first novel in the loosely related MechWarrior series." Star Lord, by Donald G. Phillips (rewritten for publication by Blaine Lee Pardoe) Set during the Clan Invasion Era. "A descendant of Stefan Amaris tries to reestablish the (New) Rim Worlds Republic. Posing as the Knights, his forces launch terror attacks to sow chaos. An irregular unit including elements of the real Knights is tasked with identifying, infiltrating and terminating the unknown enemy." Fox Tales, by Bryan Young. Set during the Dark Age Era. "An anthology containing short stories about the mercenary unit Fox Patrol." The Proving Grounds Trilogy, by Martin Delrio. Set during the Dark Age Era. "The novels chronicle the Steel Wolves assault on The Republic of the Sphere, the resistance led by the Northwind Highlanders, and the legacy of Paladin Ezekiel Crow." The Rogue Academy Trilogy, by Jennifer Brozek. Set during the Dark Age Era. "About the invasion of Emporia by the rogue DCMS Seventh Ghost Regiment." A Question of Survival, by Bryan Young. Set during the IlClan Era. About the Khan for Clan Jade Falcon looking to rebuild his devastated Clan in the aftermath of their loss of the ilClan trial on Terra, and decide to attempt to do this by capturing sibkos from Clan Ghost Bear. Who wouldn't like that I bet. Redemption Rites, by Jason Schmetzer. Set during the IlClan Era. Centering Kincaid of the Wolf's Dragoons, in the aftermath of the ilClan trial on Terra where they suffered terrible losses. Follows his and his Dragoons' quest for revenge after being used and insulted by Alaric Ward of Clan Wolf.
Also been recommended anything written by Michael A. Stackpole so I may go sniff through his books later. He's tackled a lot of pivotal historical events in-universe.

Idol Land PriPara 8
The episode opens with a very depressed and dramatic Mario strumming his guitar and asking himself why Amari has "changed".
He's approached by Gaaruru who was going for a walk to calm the bug in her stomach. She asks him if he's alone, and he says he's heard about her and insults her dancing/singing. To his surprise, Gaaruru has no reaction. "I'm used to it," she says.
So Mario runs off into the air, shooting at the yumeme thing in the sky thinking that all the kirakira inside is what's changed Amari.
I took this screenshot to complain about Amari looking at friend tickets, a feature that doesn't exist in the game, but I guess she's just looking at profiles. They released those new profile skins just in time, huh.
Amari arrives in Idol Land to find Gaaruru describing the previous night's events to Laala, Michiru, and Nino. Amari is also surprised Gaaruru isn't bothered by what Mario said to her, thinking about how depressed Amari herself gets whenever she fails.
The others worry that if Mario does destroy the thing in the sky, Yui may not be able to return to normal. So they resolve to bring her back before he does.
Laala asks Amari if she has any ideas. Thinking back to Non Sugar in the previous episode, Amari blurts out "Maybe we should butt heads." Nino runs with it, suggesting that they need a rivalry. Who is Yui's rival? Shuka! They need Shuka!
Right on cue, Galala and Mimiko appear and beg the others to help them make Shuka remember PriPara. Amari, Laala, Michiru, Nino, and Mimiko head to Avacado Academy.
Amari and Michiru are equally embarrassed to see each other's out of PriPara forms.
But despite Laala's rantings on the place where you can be an sparkling idol...
And Mimiko's impromptu concert on her bed...
Shuka has no interest.
As they chase after Shuka, they run into Yui as well, who barely recognizes her teammates and says she's not interested in chasing dreams like her brother and only wants to go to school and eat rice. Shuka agrees.
Reflecting on their failure and how much they miss their friends, everyone bursts into tears. Seeing this, Amari re-realizes that even though they are "super idols" to her, her friends are only elementary and middle schoolers after all. As the oldest, Amari steps up and promises she'll make Shuka remember... by tomorrow! "Leave it to me!"
After returning to her dorm to panic about making a promise she can't keep, Amari remembers Gaaruru and her strong will to not get depressed about her failures. She looks across the room to see the guitar she used to carry around in middle school to look cool (but never actually learned to play).
She fumbles over the strings, slowly but surely playing something that sounds vaguely like "Miss Prillionare".
"It's going to be a long night."
At one point she nearly gives up because she feels the others are her friends, and surely her friends will forgive her. But even so, after a swig of wasabi mayo, she decides she's going to keep trying anyway! (This is some interesting development for Amari!)
Back in PriPara, Galala desperately wants to leave to reach Shuka but Janice reminds her she can't. Paaku decides to take things into their own hands.
They enter Shuka's dream and leave her a mysterious box that will open when the time is right.
Meanwhile, Amari realizes it's morning and she's spent all night practicing. She questions if this is the first time she's stayed up all night, but then realizes she stayed up all night drawing Mario too. Back then, that was the only time she ever didn't feel "left out". She briefly questions if Mario "saved her" before denying it.
Everyone returns to Avocado Academy, where Amari tunes her guitar as Mimiko listens for Shuka. And so, they time it so that just as Shuka walks by, Amari is playing Miss Prillionaire on guitar. Shuka walks by, and... keeps walking.
And turns around, and walks back. And listens to the song.
Just as Amari breaks all her guitar strings.
And Shuka begins to sing.
The box in her dreams opens and all her memories come flooding back! IDOL TIME IS MONEY!
She embraces a crying Mimiko, and thanks Amari (who is still sporting bags under her eyes from her all-nighter) as they run to Idol Land. Amari reflects on how today she doesn't feel so left out.
And so, Evergold is reunited and Shuka's rivalry with Yui is reignited.
EVERGOLD!!!
New Rich Venus coords!?
And wait.... WAIT!!! What is THIS!! That's not the Rich Venus Yume Rare!? Is that a brand new team SCR or Yume Rare!!? Also, Shuka's is a different color!
And so, thanks to Evergold's performance Yui is now awakened... for six minutes at a time.
Progress.
Meanwhile in Danpri...
Mario catches Shinya off guard and steals his dreams, taking him to Yamipri where he's keeping all the other DanPri idols he's done the same to in hopes that eventually Amari will notice him... (What will Ushimitsu do now!?)
Okay so. Wow. WOW! ...What now haha.
Last month we got a lot of Non Sugar/Triangle themed stuff added to the game. So in theory we should get some new Evergold/Shuka stuff... but. Galala and Mimiko aren't currently in the game and the only song that even has Shuka singing on it at all that was on the Switch is Waku Waku O'Clock.
Not to say that I wouldn't love Waku Waku O'Clock in the game, but still...
Miss Prillionare.............
Or if they have to program a new song anyway, they might as well give us Evergold's new song? Who knows..... It will be interesting to see what happens next week.
I think the sad truth is that when they were at the planning stage for this episode of the anime, they didn't know the extent of inexperience their game developer had and probably were planning on being able to have more new content in the game by now... haha ha....
Well at least we'll get some Rich Venus coords. And it shouldn't be too much to ask for Galala to be added in, right?

Biff! POW!! Welcome to Geek Theatre
Biff! POW!! Welcome to Geek Theatre
Review: She Kills Monsters at The Arts Factory By Perry Tannenbaum The curtain is finally going up in Charlotte on the works of playwright Qui Nyugen, the American son of Vietnamese parents who founded the Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company back in 2000. Soon afterwards, Nyugen’s brainchild transplanted from Ohio to Off-Broadway – where it became the first theatre company sponsored by NY Comic Con…

I decided to meal prep today and chose recipes from the Overwatch Cookbook. With a few alterations. Presenting Ana’s Lentil Soup and Doomfist’s Jollof Rice. I used a heavy cream substitute of silken tofu and soy milk blended together for the soup. The Lentil Soup is creamy and mild. Next time I would add a bit more Za’atar spice. It is a great dish for winter. The Jollof Rice has extra firm tofu in place of chicken breasts. And brown rice as that was in my pantry. Because I don’t have access to the Scotch bonnet pepper there are two red bell peppers and hot curry powder. It is fantastically spicy. Hints for next time: A food processor works for blending the soup, but messy. I’ll invest in an immersion blender. And I messed up and used tomato sauce rather than tomato paste, but I don’t think I could tell the difference. The brown rice needed the extra water.

"I am." Isla nods, laughing. "I think you liked the attention even if it was bad." she adds and mirrors Ryan's tease. The disappointment follows about Lia and Isla's shoulders slowly drop when she hears the reason. Which isn't much of a reason at all. But, she also appreciates wholeheartedly that finding Amaris and her daughter means so much to them all. She struggles to find the words to thank all of them, for keeping Elliot safe and giving him the strength to keep going. It doesn't mean anybody else should be left behind, though. "That's not fair." she replies quietly, meeting her eyes to Ryan's so she can arch her brow in a gentle but stern manner. "There's enough of us to do both. I think you and Wolf should talk about it." but she raises her hand lightly. "I'm not telling you what to do for the pack but I just think, okay?"
Isla gives a soft chuckle about him and Tammie, rolling her eyes and hitting his arm quickly. "Well, maybe it is simple and you both make it more difficult." she can remember overhearing arguments, but it was obvious what caused them. Sometimes passion and anger are one of the same. "Me and Elliot happened because I didn't let him hide away but both of you are letting the other one hide away so- one of you has to stop. I think it should be you." she nods as she tells him, delivering her words with a firm fairness. Laughing to Ryan's quick dodge of responsibility, Isla feigns a scoff but waves her hand to shoo him away. "I heard about the rice, it didn't even surprise me. So yes, go. You and your heart." she chuckles at him, giving Ryan a soft push to get him moving.
★・・・・・・★
"Damn." Ryan bites out quickly but this time in full amusement. "Say how you really feel." his tease carries no frustration and he's fast to agree that the death of the damned nickname was long overdue. "Duno how I coped with all y'all callin' me that every damn day of my life. Drove me crazy." he laughs and it subsides when he's reminded of how Isla can embody a directness that manages to feel non-confrontational. Over the previous three years, Ryan has learned that there are some conversations that require him to stow away his jester hat. As Beta, the quips all need to come to an end at a certain point and he supposes this conversation is one of them. "I don't wanna just say it's different, 'cause I used to hate when that was said to me about shit. But, it is different. She's only been with us for a few months, right? It might not sound fair but Amaris and Cece are gonna come first." he hates to say it out loud, but it's the truth or the closest to the truth he's willing to say.
Ryan's chuckle only returns briefly about him and Tammie, nodding to Isla with a small movement of appreciation for her words. They're not untrue, but Ryan may as well be facing a mountain of shit to heave through before he could ever make a real mends. "That's a simple way of puttin' it." he laughs to her. "You and El was kinda different, everyone saw y'all a mile off. Even when y'all were arguin' about dumb shit, it was obvious how it was gonna end up." Ryan says before he pats the crates and gives Isla the famous innocent Cross smirk. "Honestly, Isla you don't want me countin' shit or havin' to focus. My foot would be tappin' like crazy and I'd be bouncin' off these walls about ten minutes in. Hunter nearly starved all us to death countin' the rice wrong. I don't want that kinda pressure. Don't make me feel bad, huh? My heart can't take that either."
