Day 31: Family

Welcome, Brother.

Through living through his ancestors in search for pieces of Eden, I love that Desmond learned and was inspired by their lives and lessons in turn.

Desmond learned of Altaïr’s redemption and reshaping his own philosophy through love of others, Ezio’s undying love for family (blood and found) and how to find closure, and Ratonhnhaké:ton’s perseverance and kindness through the darkest of times.

And he wishes he would have had them in his own life

İn my HC Altaïr doesnt believe in religion at all but probobly learned all the customs and maybe participated in Ramadan every now and then with the village (id like to think the assassins there took this as an opportunity to train for hunger and endurance). So prob raised Muslim but doesnt practice.

I think except for Connor all of them are non-religious. Ezio most likely lost his belief once he became an assassin and found out about Isu. While he doesnt know they are just human+ i think he def stopped being christian after fistfighting the pope itself 💀 Weather he believes Isu are the actual god... İdk I think he is in the "this is getting too complicated im just gonna worry about religion on my deathbed" phase. He does still pray over the people he kills so some customs def stick around with him.

I say Connor is still religious bc he thinks the visions and the voices of Isu as spirits (if I remember the plot right, feel free to correct me) and the village elders also calls them so, and I think he never had a reason to question his own gods. + He is already in a time where other people are ereasing his culture telling him that he is "wrong" so I dont think some other god like figures appearing would break his faith in his own religion.

Desmond never had time for religion probobly lol he grew up in Assassin cult and didnt even believe they were real while IN THE CULT☠️ the true Atheist lol

I was gonna do a christmas art w 4 of them where the boys hold a misletoe(is that how you say it) above Desnonds head, and he goes "I dont really celebrate christmas" then Alt goes "I was raised muslim (idk if he was lol)" Connor goes "I learned what it is 20 min ago" (did they do christmas traditions in that time?) and Ezio goes "I just want to kiss"(mastermind behind this)

But drawing 4 people is torture....
