You know what’s a really fun set of choices that happened in spiderverse?

Noir fighting tombstone.

Now they only actually did it because this tombstone is supposed to look and feel like a 30’s style gangster with a bruiser attitude.

But despite never actually fighting in his comics these two have one actual anchor point, (most of the time) chief editor of the daily bugle Robbie Robertson.

Noir’s connection to Robbie is obvious, they are very close before- the incident- same general age and all that

Tombstone’s connection to Robbie is kind of their defining relationship/ conflict in the comics, it’s really interesting to research but the og story goes something like this: they attended the same highschool together, tombstone killed some guys and intimidated Robbie into never telling, fast forward to modern times and it basically ends with robbie stabbing tomb with a pitchfork

Powers and abilities:

Tombstone (Alonzo Thompson "Lonnie" Lincoln) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Depicted as a hulking albino man with filed teeth, Tombstone is a notorious crime boss in New York City who is primarily an enemy of Spider-Man and Daredevil; the father of Janice Lincoln; and has personal ties with Robbie Robertson.

Originally, Lonnie Lincoln had no powers, but was simply unusually tall with a near-peak human condition. Lincoln later gained actual powers as a result of a mutagenic reaction to an experimental preservative gas absorbed into his bloodstream. He possesses physical strength and reflexes that have been increased far beyond his original limits to abnormal levels. Tombstone's body can withstand extreme temperatures, great impact forces, high caliber bullets, and even toxic vapors without sustaining injury. He has filed all his teeth into razor-sharp points for intimidation on rare occasions.

Charles Parker Jr. (August 29, 1920 – March 12, 1955) nicknamed “Bird” or “Yardbird”, was a jazz saxophonist, band leader, and composer he was a highly influential soloist and a leading figure in the development of bebop, a form of jazz characterized by fast tempos, virtuosic technique, and advanced harmonies. Primarily a player of the alto saxophone, his tone ranged from clean and penetrating to sweet and somber.

He acquired the nickname “Yardbird” early in his career on the road with Jay McShann. This, and the shortened form “Bird”, continued to be used for the rest of his life, inspiring the titles of a number of his compositions, such as “Yardbird Suite”, “Ornithology”, “Bird Gets the Worm”, and “Bird of Paradise”. He was an icon for the hipster subculture and the Beat Generation, personifying the jazz musician as an uncompromising artist and intellectual rather than just an entertainer.

He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and raised in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Parker Sr. and Adelaide “Addie” Bailey, who was of mixed Choctaw and African-American background. He attended Lincoln High School, but withdrew, just before joining the local musicians’ union and choosing to pursue his musical career full-time. He married his childhood sweetheart Rebecca Ruffin.

He began playing the saxophone at age 11, and at age 14 he joined his high school band where he studied under Bandmaster Alonzo Lewis. His mother purchased a new alto saxophone around the same time. His father was often required to travel for work but provided some musical influence because he was a pianist, dancer, and singer on the Theatre Owners Booking Association circuit. His mother worked nights at the local Western Union office. His biggest influence at that time was a young trombone player named Robert Simpson, who taught him the basics of improvisation.

He contributed greatly to the modern jazz solo, one in which triplets and pick-up notes were used unorthodox.
