The Trigger collab animation came out and it’s the best thing Transformers has done in the current decade.

Truly a love letter to Transformers from G1 to EarthSpark, it squeezes in everything it possibly can from most media. However the catch is that it’s only animated media and the live action movies, the comics (any assorted manga, Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW & Skybound) aren’t referenced, while some Japanese exclusive stuff gets a lil’ bit more attention (understandable since it’s, y’know, Japanese fans being nostalgic about the anime they grew up with).

Transformers Go, Q-Transformers, and the Beast Wars anime got particular attention.

This shot of Liger Megatron and Green Lion Lio Convoy is especially cool.

I think initially I was expecting a Trigger animated greatest hits from select moments from each show, and while they still technically do that in spots…

It’s mostly a mega crossover with different characters interacting otherwise.

And it’s all the better for it.

I mean where else are you gonna find TFA Optimus about to smash Masterforce Overlord’s face in?

There’s no real narrative, it’s just random cool shots though the closest thing to a framing device is the PV opening with Vector Prime looking down on Cybertron across all time lines.

Regarding EarthSpark’s contributions to the short, they’re minimal. The Terrans and Mandroid don’t appear at all, which is a little bizarre.

ES Megatron appears among the other Decepticon leaders instead of being with ES Optimus on the Autobot leader side.

You’d think Mandroid would be there next to BWII Galvatron instead, but I guess not. Sadly they omitted RiD15 Steeljaw too, instead using RiD15 Megatronus Prime’s floating head.

SatAM Robotnik voice: Ah well, life is not perfect.

The main ES rep are the Maltos.

This just reinforces ES needed to be 2D, because they actually look good. Roche’s style doesn’t work in 3D.

Anyway the human cast they chose for this final shot amuses me.

Love seeing my favorite Clays being included. The lack of RiD Steeljaw (G1 Steeljaw did appear with Lio Junior and RiD15 Aerobolt though) is forgiven.

Anyhow, the specific use of the Clays, the (S3) Witwickys, the Maltos and the Onishis (this is especially funny since Koji’s mom never met her universe’s Optimus) is somehow very random, but also kinda appropriate. Like I get Spike and Dot’s families, since it serves as bookends, but the Clays and Onishis still feel a bit random. Still, including both Robots in Disguise families is a nice touch in my book!

The short ends with a different bookend as mentioned.

What starts out as G1 Prime & Megs transitions to ES Prime & Megs shaking hands. The old with the current series. It works~! I admit I’m surprised they didn’t include TFONE somehow. I know it’s technically not out yet, but there’s enough material to have had Orion and D-16 have some kind of tussle. It would’ve been an interesting way to tie it into the above scene and this one:

When it comes to general rep, the stuff that gets the most focus is G1, Beast Wars, Animated, & Galaxy Force. Cyberverse doesn’t really get anything beyond the leader shot, but there is this awesome but very random shot of Croaton over looking Holi’s Rescue Patrol walking on a beach littered with the dead bodies of the generic Decepticons from “War Dawn”.

It also occurs to me the Rescue Bots cartoons appear to be omitted along with BotBots, but that might partly be due to them not having Japanese releases? I’m not sure, but it’s funny how Q-Transformers is acknowledged of all things, but not Heatwave or Burgertron. Maaaaybe that’s for the best on the later…

Still the PV is a blast and is pry the most earnest passion project that GETS Transformers vs what we’ve been getting post Aligned cartoon wise.

I still hope this leads to a proper TF anime series made by Trigger, like what happened with Gridman. We need a return to good 2D animated TF shows and not more CGI slop like WFC or S2 ES. That Beast Wars and Machines are still superior despite being retro by today’s standards says something…

The catch however is the original video is region locked…

Why do you think Lucy talks to Daisy and Paulo when they’ve been such awful friends to her, especially lately. She’s been pretty blank around them lately but they’ve just blamed her and assumed she was doing things to spite them. In Rain Check it was honestly infuriating and she just stayed and was chill with it. The two literally end up dating because she wanted to help them along and brought her to BurgerTron. But no apology for assuming the worst of her and outright saying that to her face. And that’s not even getting into how Paulo came up to her and asked her for advice on Daisy when their previous interaction was him saying that she was sleeping with the guy who saved her life. And even if he doesn’t know the full context of her situation with Augustus, he knew he was being deliberately petty and rude. There’s a level of shamelessness in going to someone for romantic advice after that was your last interaction with them, especially with no apology. Lucy wasn’t always great to her friends before. She used to be really bad. But she went to therapy, changed, apologized, and told them it wasn’t right for her to do that. I could add how Daisy talked poorly about Lucy behind her back to Mike (in the same chapter as that fight with Paulo) out of nowhere even though she made sure to get her a present for her birthday and convinced (albeit aggressively) Paulo to go to her birthday. They just assume the worst all while she’s been helping them. And neither apologizes. I used to like Paulo since he got such great development but seeing this is just so disappointing. It’s gotten to the point where I believe Paulo and Daisy are both wrong when they say the other is too good for them. They’re both being awful. And there’s never any conversation about that.

For a moment I was surprised and thought Tumblr had bumped the message character limit up. This one came around while I was interstate so I couldn't get around to responding to it until I got back recently. This was sent in on the 19th and as that was also the day page 4 of Third Wheel was released, I have to assume that day's page prompted the message.

No one's having any conversation about what you described because that is not what's happening. I needed to check the previous chapter again too but to no avail, so I'm guessing you're describing that day's page???

This is not spite in any case. Daisy is put off by Lucy's non-chalant response to the news of her new relationship because everyone had been expecting this. She's happy for them, but she, and by extension the whole school had expected this for years.

We were made ESPECIALLY aware of this too.

Comparatively there had been more meaningful surprise when Daisy found herself in a relationship with the wildcard, Abbey. Who saw that one coming?

I'm pretty sure the last few pages have made this more than clear too with how we've seen Daisy go through most of the school looking for a reaction, but only getting a "Oh yeah we expected that to happen" from a lot of her colleagues.

Despite all this, I don't agree with this idea that Paulo and Daisy are necessarily bad friends particularly when the worst we've encountered so far have concerned disagreements -- in the way that all three of them have made particularly misunderstood readings into each others intentions, motivations and actions from previous behaviours when they were much younger that they're all trying to move away from. An example of this is the time in It's all in the mind when Daisy was particularly envious of Lucy's ability to draw attention and having a particular image of how Lucy must relish in the attention, only for Lucy to shout her down.

This was not the only time a record was straightened out between these two. This had also occurred in the conclusion of Confrontation, when earlier Daisy only believed Lucy was hanging around Mike was because he was an easy target for her violent personality. She expected Lucy would've bailed on them when Alejandro confronted them in the alley, only for the opposite to happen, which resulted in Daisy giving some thought to their friendship and wanting to start things over.

The disagreement Daisy had in 'It's all in the mind' doesn't immediately undo the years she'd put in trying to be a better friend post-confrontation. It doesn't negate the thought to have a birthday party for her nor her attempt to help her when Mike wouldn't reciprocate her feelings. Granted, in the moments where Lucy did need a friend to rally with her whom was absent, how could Daisy know? Really? Lucy keeps her problems to herself never being the one to bother others with her own problems. She isn't wired that way, and there was no way for Daisy to know any better until it was much too late.

It's a question whether Lucy knows of this inside or not. But regardless! Neither have given up on each other and we could believe there are other values that maintain their relationship; they trust in each other for one - like we saw in Witch Hunt where despite Augustus' presence, Daisy chose to trust in Lucy's judgement and her ability to keep him in line if he tried anything.

I don't want to write another comparison over Paulo and Lucy's relationship like I did with Daisy's just now, but I'm sure we can both agree that between Paulo's mishandling of his inability to be that shoulder for Lucy that Augustus has taken over residency as, and Lucy's mishandling of their relationship before she left -- mark examples of the difficulty these two similarly stubborn characters experience especially when their emotions run high. Apologies aren't expected between those two, it's just not on the forefront on their minds and we can see how everyone else remains friends with them to know that this is honestly expected. (Or they chose to pity them, you know.) It comes eventually, but it takes a while.

They're friends, deep down. They do rely on each other from time to time. But it is hard to see this especially in light of recent developments and with how one of these only considered Mike to be their only friend for much of a time, and is now on the fence about the others. But the one thing that tends to exist in friendships here are compromises . So despite how shitty they tend to get some times, lines aren't necessarily crossed in these friendships.

Anyway, I think the real answer to your question is that Lucy doesn't really know herself why she bothered to help out -- yet. But we can deduce from how Lucy has always shown to have a maternal side while in her safe places when she was raising her pets, her innate personality is someone who wants to help out others. And as we can expect with this type of person, while they ultimately want to help those around them, we can be sure this often comes with them struggling to find solutions to their own problems.

I need to point this out because you used the word, but the therapy you think Lucy got is not the one you're writing about. Lucy's family is not aware of her decline in mental health and the nightmares -- she's much too stubborn to show that vulnerability to them.

Augustus has remained the only person she's confided this knowledge in, and this is the contention we see in Seeing Stars, as Augustus knows Lucy's mother is an available source of support, if Lucy could bring herself to trust her family with her problems.

I would find it EXTREMELY unlikely given Lucy's stubbornness when it comes to her family learning about her vulnerabilities she would've weighed the risks of divulging anything that wasn't to do with the suicide attempt to the psyche ward therapist, as given the circumstances it would've likely anything could've been relayed to her family in some way.

Lucy didn't return a changed person, she's remained the same person she was when she returned from when she was six months ago. We were lead to believe this was the case when she came back with the stoic-aloofness she'd displayed, but it was reminiscent of her past-self when she was younger and chose to appear indifferent to the things going on around her and not fulfil expectations, all while she gauged whether or not certain relationships were what they seemed.

But yeah anon these things you're describing aren't exactly happening. You're right they could be better friends and say Sorry better, but I think the last couple of volumes have shown how empty saying 'Sorry' can be sometimes.

🦇A Night You'll Tried To Forget🦇

After the Bot Prom Dance, Ulf talked with the other botbots how the lost bots always ruins everything along with everyone else's fun. Carameila heard exactly what Ulf said and in her head... she didn't think they actually ruined it, ever since they were accidentally caught by the night guard. The botbots didn't want to do anything with those guys and just completely shunned them, the only remaining ones who still wanted to hang out with them is Frostferatu and Carameila. With that, Carameila knew it would be a good timing to tell Ulf the truth.

"Look I know that everyone is upset about what happened earlier and how I heard you say that the lost bots ruined everything, but... I think it's best if we just let them redeem themselves. I understand that what they did to show themselves to the night guard was pretty bad. But we can't just stay mad at them anymore, and... w-we should... we should let them have a second chance."

Ulf looked... disgusted, she slowly turned around to face Carameila and tell her if she was serious. Carameila said yes, and before she could say anything else. That's when Ulf grabbed her arm as she drags her somewhere to talk privately about the lost bots, Carameila would tell Ulf that she's hurting her arm which Ulf continues to grab it more. When they got to the dark side of the mall, Ulf let her rage out on Carameila saying that the lost bots shouldn't be redeem as if it still didn't change the fact that they still got caught by the flesh being.

"But you don't understand, Burgertron told me that he and the others were trying to get to the party without getting caught-

"DON'T YOU SPEAK ABOUT BURGERTRON OR HIS OTHER LITTLE FRIENDS! WE BOTH KNOW THAT THEY'RE WORTHLESS AND THAT THEY SHOULDN'T TAKE ANOTHER STEP TO JOIN OUR TEAMS AGAIN!"

"Well that's not very nice! You didn't need to talk rudely about them, neither should the botbots talk rudely about them either!"

"Oh! So you're telling me that you and your stupid flightless brother of yours are on the lost bot's side too?!"

"Leave Frostferatu out of this Ulf! He may have unintelligible flight skills, but I always let him know that I'll always be here to support him while he tries to turn into bat mode!"

"Oh come on! Isn't it that obvious that you can't even do those flight skills as well? I mean look at your left arm, if you're missing one then why can't you just make one yourself? Maybe then you won't be called a stupid armless cupcake."

"I'm sorry?"

"You heard what I said Carameila!"

"..."

*Sighs* "Look I really don't want to get into a fight with you right now, so we might as well get back to the others. I don't wanna come back with people saying that I'm some terrible person who looked like she said something unfortunate, seriously it'll ruined my reputation..."

"B-But... But you said that I'm a-

"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP ALREADY! WE'RE DONE DISCUSSING THIS!!"

So, that was it.

Ulf finally showed her true nature to Carameila at the dark side of the mall, once she headed back to the Sugar Shocks. Frostferato gives Carameila a hug, he hadn't seen his sister since after the Bot Prom Dance.

"Carameila! My dear sister, where have you been this whole time? The rest of the Sugar Shocks gang were worried about you."

How?...

How is Carameila supposed to tell the rest of the gang what actually happened between her and Ulf? If she did, will they even believe her every speech about Ulf's true nature? What if they don't listen and just believe that Ulf is a nice person?

Carameila needed to bring up a lie.

"Oh um... me and Ulf were just talking about how we're deciding on who's going to be in charge of the dance next time."

"Really? Are you sure you and Ulf weren't fighting over something?"

"Y-Yeah! I'm very sure that Ulf and I would never fight, we are friends after all"

"Well okay, I'm just glad that you got back safe and sound without any-

Before Frostferatu would finish his line he notices a little bit of bruises from her right arm, he started to panic.

"M-My goodness Carameila! What happened to your arm?"

"Huh? O-Oh this? Well I guess you could say a rat came by and try to bite me-

"It really doesn't matter right now, let's just go see Lady macroon if she can help you with that bruised arm of yours."

After a whole mintue of an arm recovery, the Sugar Shocks gang would get back to their positions into a normal food mode as the sun starts to rise. Carameila couldn't get the word "Stupid armless cupcake" out of her head. Is it tue? Did Ulf really think of Carameila flightless because of her missing left arm? She didn't know... she didn't know if maybe Ulf was only saying that as a joke, all she needed to know is that being friends with Ulf was over. Carameila wanted nothing to do with Ulf anymore.

"Discovering Yourself" Part 3

"B-Burgertron?" The full-powered Kikmee said to her friend as Night Thrash flash stepped to him with his red hot katana ready to slash at his torso.

In a quick bright flash, Burgertron cowered from the impact as nothing happened. He looks at his soccer friend blocking the blade with her wrist as her glowing sky blue aurora is protected him--

"Kikmee, wh-why are you glowing?--"

"GO!! I can handle him! You warn the others, I'll take care of this!"

"But Kikmee you're gonna--"

"JUST GO!!"

Burgertron says nothing as does what she says as runs to the Lost & Found. Kikmee is fighting the assassin with the one eye, Night Thrash as he pushes his katana forward causing a cut on her wrist as she yelps in pain and jumps out as looks her cut as energon bleeds out a little.

"So, I see you're quite of a fighter...no matter, that was one drop of energon dropped, no matter--the rest will be spilled ALONG WITH YOUR MOTOR SYSTEMS!!! (quote on guts and intestines) as he pulls back his blade, as he gets ready to make her go offline as he lounges forward.

DARK SIDE OF THE MALL--NIGHT

A hangout of Micro-Masters are gambling with small human bones, drinking highly contaminated energon--which is a Cybertronian version of alcohol, and talking about what they did.

"So, there's this human family that I saw--so, they were screaming and crying along with their small female child telling me 'I can't hurt them' and 'NOT HARMING THEIR HUMAN BABY.' You what I did? I terminated the two while their kid just LOOKED in pity!!"

Rancid-Maker laughed sadistically

"But of all! I got some extra bones from the squishes I exterminated!"

Dumps a pile of human bones from the middle.

"Oh, sweet!"

"I'm loving this!"

"Dibs on the torso!"

As the Cybertronian bounty hunters and assassins enjoy their lives, Mercenary comes in to get a drink.

"Hey, watcha got for me?"

A wasp-looking Micro-Master shake his bottle and pours the liquid on its rectangular prism glass.

"Highly contaminated energon? Digging it." Takes the sip on the intergalactic alcoholic drink

"Just what are you doing here?" An unknown voice said to him as he turned back to see a gothic, female Micro-Master with two fighter jet wings on her back.

"Sonar! how's it going, girl??"

"Don't start with that--arousing attitude you throw at me, Mercy...You told to do based on what Laserbeak assigned you to do!! Just what in Primus' name were you doing at that time!!"

"Hey, take it easy there! I did some stuff...and..."

"Uh-huh that's what I thought...LAZY."

"Oh, cut me some slack! I'm trying my hardest to loyal to the old man and I'm frickin' 'Con for crying out loud!" Mercenary

"Then you should start acting like one!" Sonar pointed at his chest.

"I am one! Like everything else, right?"

The Micro-Masters eye him with unimpressed looks and annoyed faces.

"Oh! Frag all of you! I'm going to show you how I am while you--"

Mercenary gets bumped by a large figure, revealing to Slam Down.

"Whadda you complaining about?" Slam Down looked down at Mercenary as he's an insect.

"Slam Down, get out of my way..." Mercenary said to the spiked shouldered, mammal jawwed Micro-Master.

"Or what?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT! I'm going to show you downgrades who's the better bot?" Mercenary said in arrogance.

"And who's going to make you?" Slam Down

"You can't even compare on what the others did in this human-infested mall--we counted the number of stores taken over from our highly rated number of Mircro-Masters! Especially those who destroyed the human clothing stores!" Sonar said.

"I even burned the women clothing section!" A nerdy Micro-Master said.

"Watch me, I'll show you--you'll see! I'll gut a bot if I see one...Then you'll see..." Mercenary marches out of the hang out as Slam Down and Sonar looked at him in pity as they hear clutter from the Dark side of the mall. As Spud Muffin's silhouette scammers away.

"Go check that one..." Sonar told to Slam Down and the other bad bots.

BACK AT THE BATTLE

Kikmee is still fighting Night Thrash, cut and bruised as Night Thrash sways his katana targeting her body parts to slice off.

"You're too slow..." Night Thrash criticizing her combat skills as Kikmee uses a spinning bird kick as she spins like a top as the blue aurora mist spins to make it look like a tornado but Night Thrash uses his katana to block the assault as she gets closer causing it to grid as sparks fly as Kikmee stops fullway and backflips.

"Had enough yet?" Kikmee smirks

"No, not yet...but I'll show you what full power is..."

Night Thrash puts his katana of his left side as it glows a burning hellfire shade of crimson red as he slashes the blade left and right forming an "X"

Night Thrash, incanted a code in Japanese--

<Heaven Piercing Holy Moon Judgement!>

Night Thrash bring down his katana as the "X" launches forward to her, Kikmee only can look in fear as it comes toward her, which it seems it's over--until...

Two clangs come out of nowhere as Star Strike appears in front of her...

"What the? Where did you come from--"

"GO."

"What you just--"

"I SAID GO!!! I'LL HANDLE THIS!!" Star Strike yelled out of force as a wounded Kikmee looked at him with a surprised look. As she transforms to her soccer ball form and bounces away.

"Well, well, well...long time, no see..." Night Thrash eyes Star Strike-- "Doom Strike" saying his former name...

"Seems that you switched sides and you learned from Optimus Prime's disgraced morals for Cybertron."

"At least I had a family..."

"That's right, you had partners on that mission four years ago...They all fell on your first day as an Autobot Mini-Con, what a shame--you stood there while they die right in front of you, how did that feel--and why didn't you do something about it...and why?"

Night Thrash looked at him, mockingly...

What I think might happen in Flip Out! AU

Dave, at Spudimus Fries and Burgertron fighting: Hey cmon guys.. how about we all just get along-?

*A huge crater was formed next to him and they're still fighting*

Dave:

Dave: Actually, I think I needed to fix something on theee- uh, second floor! Yeah! *runs off*

They do give out warnings (mostly Spudimus Fries tho)

After seeing @bloombird humanized Burgertron they did it got me thinking & I decided to draw humanized Burgertron myself, but I’ve added my own story to it.

So basically in my story cannon Burgertron somehow gets turned into a human, probably by a device created by the Science Alliance or the Gamer Geeks (I’m kinda thinking it was both of them & they fought over it)

The rest of the Lost Bots witnessed the whole thing & quickly went to find Dave & some clothes for Burgertron (let’s just say he needs them😅)

Dave decided to look after Burgertron while he’s human & even brings him home with him (Dave couldn’t leave Burgertron at the Mall while he’s like this)

Of course the Lost Bots tag along too & both the Science Alliance & the Gamer Geeks agree to work together in order to turn Burgertron back into a Botbot.

Also even though I’ve not drawn him, Spud Muffin also saw what happened & even though he still hates Burgertron, he was still the only Botbot who defended Spud when all the other Botbots turned on him.

So Spud Muffin decided to also go with Dave & try to help, because Spud Muffin knows how Burgertron is when he’s sad/upset, he’ll go into full on denial mode & lie that he’s OK.

Burgertron is surprised to see Spud Muffin, not as surprised as the Lost Bots, but he’s happy to see him & even though he acts like he doesn’t care, Spud is the one who helps to cheer Burgertron up & get him to open up about how he feels, Dimlit also does this & quickly becomes Spud’s friend, the others also befriend him over time as well.

Back to Dave, his Mom is shock when he brings home a preteen dressed in his spare clothes he usually leaves at work, Dave explains (lies) that the boy (Burgertron) is a lost child he found at the Mall & unable to locate his parents, he had no choice but to bring him home. He even says that the police are looking into (another lie)

No caring at all & thinking this is her possible one chance to have a grandchild (don’t ask why) she just leaves them be, but insists that Dave at least tell he the boys name!

Burt, Burt Malto, that’s the name they come up with for Burgertron.

I just gave him the name Malto because it sounded like Mall & I also have been watching Transformers EarthSpark recently.

The Lost Bots give Burgertron a Teddy Bear they’d won in the Claw Machine (the same one that Kikmee won the Snake from) to cheer him up & Spud Muffin finds him believe it or not a Cheeseburger Backpack. Even after Burgertron returns to normal he still keeps both the Teddy Bear & Cheeseburger Backpack, he keeps them in the Lost & Found, because they are special to him & he also uses them as chairs now he small again (he lets everyone use them as well)

It takes a couple of weeks before the Science Alliance & the Gamer Geeks are able to turn Burgertron back into a Botbot, but when it happens Burgertron is thrilled! & so are Spud Muffin & the Lost Bots!

The rest of the Squads are surprised to see Spud Muffin with the Lost Bots, but after they explain that Spud is OK now they just leave them be, except the Hunger Hub I figure they would need some convincing before they let Spud back in their Squad.

Where the heck was bonz eye’s whole family like were they too busy partying or the fight would be incredibly short and less angsty if the food fuelers and Kamburanchi fam came along also what would bonz eye act to her family after what happened with rottentron ( sorry if i asked alot in one ask i’m just genuinely curious on what happened)

Tbh, they were either afraid of the duo since those two are a very dangerous different breed of botbots or they get the other bots who can’t fight back far away from them.

Plus I think Screwy Spud may have chopped someone’s arm off at some point and Blood Ulf may have blinded someone idk

Honestly, I didn’t bother to add them in bc they’d be overpowered and ruin the angsty flavor of this arc. Plus I’d have too many to write in this and it would take too long. If I did add them in, then I’d have to make Duo having an arsenal of weapons and bombs and blowtorches just to make the fight equal (since some bots have powers) and to make the Duo much more terrifying

(Honestly wanted to see Rottentron and duo fight Mother Strongroot but then again, I have a feeling deepfried would say it’s one sided since MS is like older or whatever)

As for Bonz-eye, she’ll be a bit more closed off and more serious than before. She’d train to become more stronger than before after hearing what happened to Burgertron before he got insanified and when Lady Macaron dies before her eyes. She just wants to be strong enough so her friends don’t go through all that again.

If anyone, I mean anyone, makes a comment about her friends or calls her weak, she fcking will harm them in cold blood. Never look down on her.

Hey hey So I got interested in your botbots story idea!

How does Spud interact with Storm Burgertron? Is he gonna attack him? Manipulate him? What happens?! I wanna know!

Right off the bat, Storm Burgertron is TERRIFIED of Spud. While both Burgertrons remember what Spud did, but Sun Burgertron doesn’t seem to care.

If I want a redemption arc for Spud Muffin;

Storm is still scared

Spud does a small favor for Storm

The two slowly get along but they get to a point where they call each other “friends” again

If I want to keep Spud as a villian

Spud immediately starts making Storm feel bad about himself.

He’s clumsy, he’s selfish, he’s such a jerk, and Spud doesn’t know why Ulf ever went back to Burgertron

(The last one about Ulf doesn’t hurt as much because Storm doesn’t care much about Ulf)

Spud basically gets Storm to the verge of tears until he just runs off to find the lost bots

Lol, I feel like my bias is showing here, with the villain arc being far more developed that the redemption

Ugh. Lost sleep over my source. I miss my home, and I can't ever go back which makes me feel worse. I wanna go run around in the food court again, and snuggle up in my nest, and explore the sub-basements and employee halls. Being a flesh being is so exhausting. Most of all, I miss my friends. The Lost Bots, the Sugar Shocks, hell even the Hunger Hubs as much as they SUCKED (endearingly) <3 I miss playing with Kikmee and listening to Clogstopper's puppetry and talking with Lady Macaron over tea... Sometimes you just don't realise how good you've got it until it's all taken away from you, huh? Don't get me wrong, my life now is great. But I wish there were other BotBots out there. I want to see them and meet them and know that I'm not. alone. I'm alone. They say sometimes having kids changes a person. And I feel like when Packet comes along, the same is very true about Burgertron. Both he and Frostferatu are doing their best to be good parents.

More so when Packet starts showing vampire powers. Mostly floating. This has lead to having to use a string tied around little Packet's waist until he got his floating better under control.

A ‘Chill’ Night At The Mall

More BotBot/TFP AU content y’all. This is set during the first few months of Mike’s employment, when he starts to bond with the Lost Bots more. Poor dude doesn’t realize that by the end of his time as a night guard that he’s gonna have an army of semi-feral BotBots staying with him lol.

Also Burgertron is touch-starved change my mind. (you can’t)

All things considered, Mike’s night had been going pretty good.

Dave would be coming in soon to take over for him, as the clock ticked over to 5 AM. Just one more hour. One more hour, then he’d be free to go home and get some rest.

“Mike!”

God damn it.

Exhaling through his nose and accepting the fact that tonight would not be the calm, easy shift he’d been hoping for, Mike turned his gaze down to the ground, easily spotting the little creature calling his name.

 It had been a few months since he’d accidentally discovered the secret of his new workplace, and he’d not known peace since. BotBots. That's what they called themselves, and the outcast group called the Lost Bots had seemingly become quite attached to him, not shying away from the dark haired male like they did with Dave, his klutzy coworker. At first, they’d been just as fearful, doing their best to remain unseen by the night guard, but they’d started to come around after he’d found one of them stuck to a glue trap, a small flashlight that he’d learned was named Dimlit. 

It’d taken some hours to get the tiny robot-like creature free, Mike being overly cautious as to not hurt him accidentally. As he’d worked, the rest of the Lost Bots had slowly crept out of their hiding places, bodies tense with stress but eyes curious as they watched the human work. When he’d finished, he’d set the little bot down on the floor, unsure of what else to do and still in shock at the revelation that Dave wasn’t completely insane. Dimlit had been in a similar state of shock, and it had taken a gentle nudge from Mike to get him to scurry away like a frightened rabbit.

After that night, the Lost Bots started hanging around the human, apparently breaking some sacred rule they had in doing so. He’d learned all of their names, and had been let into the secret world of the mall factions. Every once in a while, he’d interact with a bot in one of the other factions, although this was usually because the bot had gotten themself into trouble. The other BotBots were far more hostile and skittish, but Mike had started to see a few more of them more recently lately.

Shaking himself from his thoughts, Mike knelt down and offered his hand to the bot. It was Kikmee, the little soccer ball BotBot. She stepped up onto his hand, leaping up his arm and scrambling up onto his head, shivering as she hunkered down into his fluffy curls. Mike frowned, feeling how cold she was.

“Kik’, why are you so cold? Did Clogstopper get locked in the freezer again?” Mike questioned.

“N-no.” she managed out, teeth chattering, “There’s s-something wr- wrong with the h-heater! The l-lost and found is f-f-freezing!”

Well shit. Mike had known that the space heater in the lost and found was on the fritz, God knows Dave had been complaining about it enough, but he hadn’t expected it to break down this quickly. Huffing softly, Mike righted himself and started off towards the lost and found.

“Okay, let’s go take a look. Maybe I can do something to fix it.”

“Fuck!”

Mike cursed as the heater’s fraying wires sent a jolt of electricity up his arm, a sharp ache immediately springing up along the length of his limb. He shook his arm about rapidly, hissing as he gave the busted heater a sharp kick, yanking the wire out of the socket before it started a fire.

“Okay, screw that, I’m not getting paid enough for this. Dave can bitch to management about it.” he snarled, wincing as he cradled his injured arm. Sighing deeply, he turned to face the Lost Bots, who were huddled up together, still shivering. 

Mike felt a pang of pity ripple through him. These guys could be real nuisances sometimes, getting underfoot or causing various nonsensical issues that he had deal with before the mall opened, but they were also his only real friends.

That... was incredibly pathetic. Jesus, he needed to start socializing with actual human beings. Dave didn’t count, because Mike would rather run into the nearest intersection before he considered Dave a friend.

So, at the risk of being nipped at or scratched, Mike strode over to the Lost Bots and plucked them up one by one, settling them in his arm. He shivered as he felt their cold bodies against his bare arm.

“Christ, it’s cold as fuck in here. I can’t in good conscience leave you little brats here to freeze, even if it would make my job easier, so I’m gonna let you come stay at my apartment for tonight, okay?” he said, getting wide eyes and eager nods in return. None of the BotBots had ever seen the outside world before, and Mike wondered how quickly it would take before they got into trouble out there. Hopefully they would have enough sense not to roll beneath his car’s pedals or mess with his cat.

They scattered about his body, making themselves comfortable wherever they pleased. Kikmee returned to her perch on his head, Clogstopper and Bonz-Eye each chose a shoulder to cling to, tucking themselves partway under the collar of his uniform, Dimlit crawled into his shirt pocket, and Burgertron snuggled up close to his chest, covered partially by Mike’s hand as he gripped onto the young man’s shirt.

 The Lost Bot leader always seemed to crave more contact than his friends, often taking any chance to annoy Mike by leaping onto him from some high vantage point and refusing to leave his shoulder. Now, though, there was no smart-mouthed quips or sharp bites, only a faint rumble as Mike absent-mindedly ran his thumb across the bot’s bun-like armour. Was he... was he purring?

Tucking that little tidbit of info away for later, Mike packed up his stuff with one hand and pulled on his coat, concealing his tiny cargo as he handed the mall keys over to Dave on his way out.

So here's Transformers: BotBots Series 6's "Dud Spud" and "Veggietron". Dud Spud looks a LOT like Spud Muffin. A lot a lot. Like...

That's Spud Muffin on the left. It is... stunningly rare for two different BotBots to have such nigh-identical decos. As in... this is the only case I can think of out of the 200+ BotBots.

Now things get a bit weird here, as Dud and Veg have VERY different colors in their checklist photography...

Which is also not actually a thing that has really happened in BotBots. I can't think of any examples of a BotBot's deco being so different from stock-photo to final release.

And weirder... Veg's "prototype" colors here are very, very close to Burgertron's.

And weirder still, all the BotBots Series 6 art uses the two "very close to Series 1 Bots" colors for these two... the final-toy Spud-Muffin-y Dud, and the checklist-photo Burgertron-y Veg.

So... I'm thinking that at some point, these two molds were intended to be new releases of the characters Spud Muffin and Burgertron, as they, along with Ulf the Orange, were major characters in the Netflix cartoon, and all three of these are packed in with the Racer-Roni vehicle, also featured in the cartoon.

"Dud Spud" in the Cajun/sweet-potato fries deco and the final "Veggietron" likely came from the original plans for Series 7. Then stuff got all mixy-mixy in the switch to 6 somehow. Maybe Hasbro changed their minds and ultimately didn't want to put out a new Spud Muffin and Burgertron when there were no new versions of the other major show characters available, and some stuff was just already in production too late to change things. Maybe stuff just plain old got mixed up.

It's weird, but then this whole line is weird, which is part of why I love it so.

"Discovering Yourself Part 1"

"I'm sorry--he did what while he was being strangled?" Llandra said to Star Strike's comment on last night's battle.

"I mean--it just came out of nowhere! There was lightning and sparks coming out of Dimlit's body!" Star Strike responded.

"I don't believe it..."

"NO! J-just trust me on this, Llandra I saw it with my own eyes while fighting Air Raid!" Star Strike trying to make a complement to her.

"Look, Star Strike I know everything has changed since the war but you cannot tell me that a small humble bot in this human Mall has somehow has special abilities!" Llandra said back to him as Star Strike looks down on his left.

"Alright, but don't believe me if it happens to you too." Both walk around the Mall.

Lost & Found

Burgertron is sorting out his stuff and stops midway as he looks at a old photo of him along with Ulf the Orange and Spud Muffin with the wave of guilt of last year, breaking the sacred rule, trying to impress the BotBots, until--

"Burgertron?"

"GAH! Star Strike? Don't scare me like that!"

"Sorry...Who are these two?" Star Strike examined the photo on Burgertron's hand.

"Oh, that's my girlfriend, Ulf and my former friend, Spud Muffin..."

"Spud--Muffin?"

"Yep..."

"Why is he a former friend of yours?"

Burgertron sighs

"Okay, about one year ago, we did something bad..."

"What did you do that was well--bad?"

"Okay, so there is a important rule that goes into BotBot society it's called--THE SACRED RULE OF THE MALL." Burgertron said with a booming voice.

"Uh, okay..."

"It's our rule, we must, I repeat--WE must hide from the flesh beings from our existence! Until--me and my squad broke it..."

"How did it break it?"

"We rode on the mall's kiddie ride and the mall guard found me in my burger form and about to eat me until Dimlit rescue and I--transformed in the wrong time..."

"Okay, so you broke a rule...accidents happen!"

"That's not just the only thing, we were outed from our society! We had to isolate ourselves from everyone! We tried to impress them! BotVids, LARPing, Bot Prom, trying to rescue the mall from Specter Halloween! We all failed!!--until the GoldRush games which made us get us back on the map! It was difficult journey but we finally reached our goal!" Burgertron explained his tough road trying to be return to BotBot society.

"Can I tell you something--I was also outed from my community as well--until Optimus found me and I had partners...and...um..."

Burgertron raised an eyebrow.

"What, were they?"

Star Strike says nothing as he stood there silently as something from his past which so traumatic that he doesn't want to say to him...

"Um...How about we meet up with your friends?"

"Uh...o--kay?" Burgertron responded in a concerned look as they both leave.

Mall, North Wing

"AH-HA!! DIMLIT, MY FRIEND WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE WITH THE ALMIGHT FROSTFERATU!! MWA-HA-HA-HA!"

"Uh, hey Frosty..."

"What? You're impressed to see my flashy vampiric skills, the cape doesn't impress you?" Frostferatu questions Dimlit to his flashy attitude."

"Eh, not really...I just want to say hi!" Dimlit said politely

"D'oh! People are usually impressed in my flashy mood!" Frostferatu said in defeat.

"You know what is flashy??? This!" Clogstopper flips a lid on his head over and over.

"O--kay, I could see that..." Frostferatu said awkwardly.

"HEY! I can unclog clogged toilets, there was this one time--"

"ANYWAY...How about we changed the subject?!" Kikmee moves Clogstopper out of the way to avoid more awkwardness.

"Hey Kikmee! How are you doing? how's your torso?"

"Eh, it clicks when I move!" Kikmee said as he moves it as a clicking sound is heard.

"Man, I'm surprised you and Bonz-Eye managed to survive that fight! What even was that?" Dimlit said in question.

"...I don't know he said he was like us, but deadly and from a different world. I was just terrifying--that smile the way he--"

Kikmee feels her healed scar from Mercenary on her left as she shudders

"I don't even want to talk about it...It's just too nasty!"

"More nastier then this?" Bonz-Eye said offscreen, revealing to have a black eye and split lip.

"OH MY DAYLIGHTS! Bonz-Eye, you alright?"

"Uh, yeah...just to have a black eye and split eye really helped out..."

"Whoa, I would you are intense but not this--intense..." Clogstopper respond to her broken face.

"Thank you, Clogstopper I needed that comment...really helpful..." Bonz-Eye responds with sarcasm.

"So, you two were in huge fight or somethin' or is somethin' I should know..." Frostferatu

"Uh, maybe you should not be evolved..." Clogstopper places an arm on Frostferatu's shoulder as he looks around with a worried and concerned look that something went on here...

Mall, Night Windows

Mercenary looks at the stars at the full moon by himself pondering why he has to live in this dump heap of a planet called Earth but it just looks gorgeous when it's features.

"So, Air Raid's dead..." Mercenary looks behind to another Micro-Master with a katana named Night-Thrash.

"Ah, Night-Thrash how's it hanging? So how's the hacking and slashing?" Mercenary said jokingly to him.

"I have no time for immaturity, Mercenary...you were supposed to recruit more of these Mall-based bots and you never did a single assignment which Laserbeak assigned!" Night-Thrash angrily said to Mercenary

"Hey c'mon now there's no need for these attitude...sure, I may be a bit slow on these missions but hey! If there's one for the big man wants from this then I have no pity..."

"You are not making sense, Mercenary...enough of this childish behavior YOU are a Decepticon, that means you are loyal to Megatron and you do what HE says or else--"

"Or else, what? C'mon tough guy, spit it out..."

Night-Thrash says nothing until--

"Listen here, and listen to me good you're going to do this assigned task from Laserbeak which will make you stop acting like a teenage human brat and an idiot every time when there's a big issue in our hands and MAYBE Megatron will give you a promotion more than Starscream's constant whining OR we'll have to drop you from our ranks. YOU CHOOSE and if you screw this up DON'T BOTHER to COME BACK if you fail..."

Night-Thrash walks away leaving Mercenary with a angry look as walk up to a pillar to punch it leaving a crater, as he breathes in rage, his right eye twitches.

Mall, Food Court bottom right

"So, this where you were?" Star Strike examining the place Burgertron used to be.

"Yep, this was a special place for me as a former leader of the Hunger Hubs! Sometimes, they invite me for little reunions and all that..."

"Huh? A place filled with red meat, high cholesterol, and sugars this may be a fantasy for you."

"FANTASY?? NO! THIS IS THE PLACE OF GREATNESS!!" Burgertron responded in optimism

Burgertron places an arm on Star Strike's head.

"Trust me, you're going to enjoy it!!! Soda machines, grills, and the best part--I, Cheeseburger!"

"Um...I--what now?"

"Oh, it's a musical is where yours truly created! Well, Brock-O-Lonley was a replacement for while then they wanted me back in because he couldn't capture of my voice...no offense, Brock..."

"None taken..."

Star Strike looks around the court and ask Burgertron a question.

"Mr. Burgertron, may I ask you this. This Spud Muffin what was he like?"

Burgertron grimaced at the words he told him and a mention of a friend turned rival.

"Spud Muffin was my friend of mine we first met when the energon cloud came here and brought us to live...He was a good friend then he got--crazy I mean crazy! After I broke the sacred rule a year ago he tried to sabotage me and my friend's plans to impress BotBot society! He framed me for murdering Sprinkleberry D'uhnut's disappearance and "murder" and untied the security guard and we everyone blamed us for ruining Bot Prom--to add salt on the wound---like I mean really he's made of salt, he's box of fries!! He's the one responsible for creating the GoldRush game and what did he created it for? To get banished to the Dark Side of the Mall. Where HE instead got kicked off to..." Burgertron described the situation one year ago.

"So, your friend got too much on his ego..."

"Yeah, he was cause I was a burger and he was fries! And where he stupid argument where fries being a main course! For switch it's totally uncool! It's not like you had bots like that! Star Strike? Star Strike?"

We cut to Star Strike's point of view as he sees bots as his previous partners as Burgertron's voice distorts.

"Star Strike, Star Strike, STAR STRIKE!!"

"Huh, wh-huh? Oh, my apologizes Burgertron..."

"You kinda spaced out there..."

"Is that so??"

Burgertron and Star Strike look up at they see Mercenary with his claws.

"Hey there, Burger bot it's been a while...wounds heal? but don't worry though, I'M GOING TO OPEN THEM UP SOON!!"

Star Strike lounges to them...

Mall, Sports section.

Ulf the Orange and Fottle Barts is with Batsby and Dinger.

"--I never would've thought that you two might play tennis with a meatball!" Ulf gleefully said.

"Yeah! we did! Batsby shoot a hitter though! ain't that right??"

"You betcha we did!!"

"Eh! If it ain't the Lost Bots-WHOA! Holy sidelines, Bonz-Eye you don't look so well!" Dinger pointed to her injured look on her face.

"Why THANK YOU it's not like people saw my face!" Bonz-Eye said sarcastically.

"That's very polite of you!" Clogstopper dimwittedly said while doesn't know she was being sarcastic.

"What did happen to you, Bonz-Eye?" Ulf questioned

"I--I mean we got in a fight...a brutal fight..."

"That's why you got the black eye..."

"YES." Bonz-Eye gives her a death glare.

"What Bonz-Eye is trying to say is that we survived and we didn't die right?" Kikmee said

"Soon..."

They all look back as they see Night-Thrash in the shadows as he unscythes his katana, his left glowing red eye in the darkness.

Llandra walks around the mall looking for a Micro-Master.

"There's gonna be a--"

The tracker beeps where the Lost Bots, Ulf, Fottle Barts, Dinger and Batsby are.

More BotBots + invasive species thoughts with some inspiration from the “Burgertron: and they were roommates” anon.

It’s through Burgertron Jack and June learn Cliffjumper and Arcee’s (and bitty’s) names, along with pronouns. I remember you mentioning June basically going “oh shit” in a different anon ask in response that learning “Ruby” (or whatever June called Cliffjumper) was male. But Burgertron being very confused on why June thought Cliffjumper was male.

June: the red one gave birth but it’s male???

Burgertron: It’s pretty obvious, he has a lower voice.

TFP takes place in like 2010. Gay marriage wasn't even legal yet. The general population was pretty ignorant to anything involving the lgbt community. June just made the assumption that giving birth = woman. Of course, they're aliens, so their biology is very outlandish and confusing to the people of earth XD she's trying to explain that to this tiny sassy burger boy, but he just Does Not Get It. The idea that anyone is capable of siring a child and anyone is capable of incubating one is such a wild concept to her, but the idea that those roles could be limited to only certain people is a wild concept to him! There's a weird two-way barrier there where they're both just very confused about the other's species and how reproduction works 😂

Imagine her shock when she finds out the only real difference between mechs and femmes is spark frequency. They're exactly the same otherwise. She's just like 🤯 before thinking, huh, that actually might be nice. You guys probably don't have a concept for misogyny or feminism then, cuz everyone is the same, right?

June is really apologetic to Sapphire and Ruby for getting their titles wrong, but they're not offended. It really doesn't bother them. If anything, they think it's kinda funny that she switched them around XD Jack is just glad the misunderstanding got cleared up, and is also happy to learn their names. He starts calling little Eavesdrop by her name, and it's not long before she starts responding to it
