Greg's so cute and silly singing "I gave you a UTI" and he lets her know that he's a huge nerd when he said "I'm so good at sex that your maiden ship got wrecked" and his 'sensual' gesture when he sings "one night with me is pure ecstasy because I know what you like" and him saying that he'll pay for the class shed booked in advance but won't be able to go!!! Obvious shit I noticed part 3 (spoilers for welcome to heaven)
Look at her! "Teehee"
Also she's nervous! Foreshadowing omg 🤯
STICKERS! Two pride stickers and a cute donut. Gives me an idea to draw Chaggie at a donut shop while everything is burning down <3 (I'll probably do it but if any artist wants to as well go ahead!)
*CHOKES ON COFFEE* I LOVE THEM. I'M SORRY I GET SO GIDDY WHEN THEY HAVE EVEN THE SMALLEST INTERACTION BUT UGHHH I NEED MORE, IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH 🙏🙏
KISSY! MWA! *SCREAMS INTO THE VOID*
Vivzie give me more, moar now. MOAR
DAMN. SHE CAN THROW- or maybe it just exaggerates the perspective in this frame but still- ZAMNNN
Cherri x Sir Pentious fans RISE UP.
I wasn't ever really a fan of it myself but I always thought it was CUTE. Like 3 seconds before this part I was already begging for them to kiss 😭
More foreshadowing!
AAAAAA CREEPY BIRD THINGS!!!
Oh wait- Sera's hot and Emily's already adorable
If heaven don't look like what this is in the show, I DONT WANT IT! (THATS A JOKE PLEASE DON'T SMITE ME)
JEALOUS GIRLFRIEND VAGGIE!! Can I just say how much I love Vaggie's face expressions? Not just here but like all the time. She's just made to be so exaggerated, out of all of them I thought it would be Charlie who would have the most dramatic faces but Vaggie wins it for me. I JUST GIGGLE SO HARD WHEN SHE LOOKS LIKE THIS BAHAHAH
Okay yeah. It's very obvious now. Vaggie is definitely an ex-exterminator. They don't close in on Charlie here so it's made to subtly nudge the attention to Vaggie. HOW DID THEY IMMEDIATELY NOTICE IT WAS HER THO??
Hot-
That's it.
SHARE THAT MOTHUSSY GIRL-
YOU'RE TELLING ME SHE GREW OUT ALL OF THAT HAIR?!? YEAH ITS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE THEN BUT STILL AJJSJD.
But overall the design is pretty meh. I always loved the idea of short hair Vaggie and even have seen art of it but it's just yknow, alright. Reminds me of Cassandra from Tangled: the series. IM LISTENING TO ONE OF THE SONGS RIGHT NOW HELPPP
THIS SCENE HERE! WOOOOO! SO GLAD WE KNOW WHEN AND WHERE THEY FIRST MET!! Wish we got it extended tho. And also probably push it to next episode so it would have a better impact(atleast I think thats when they'll have the duet). BUT WHATEVER SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING! or uh whatever
Vaggie must've been a bit terrified at first. The only sinner she ever sent mercy to was a child. Then to see someone who to her is an adult sinner who just looks really human, that must be crazy. BUT THEN IF SHE WAS TOLD THAT CHARLIE WAS ACTUALLY THE PRINCESS OF HELL? HOOOO, LOCK IN AND STEAL HER. THAT'S SOME WATTPAD SHIT. Also, I wonder how long Charlie thought of redeeming sinners. It would make sense to be after meeting Vaggie, since it could have been a wake up call to the fact not all sinners are bad people. Even though Vaggie isn't a sinner technically, Charlie didn't know that at the time. But maybe Charlie was always like this but just needed to meet someone who could start her dream with her. Long rant uhhh
Haha penis 🫵
SCRAP WHATEVER I SAID IN THE FIRST PART. THEY PROBABLY DO FUCK- OR DONT?? I DONT KNOW- ANYWAY LESBIAN SEX (BOTTOM TEXT). WHY DO I CARE SO MUCH??? SOMEONE PULL THE TRIGGER.
Lute looks like a basic asf anime gorl. Adam doesn't ever take his helmet off, or maybe he just can't. OH HE'S DOING THE GAY SIGN 💅💅 Very appropriate for what he's saying
Mentor, apprentice. I love that Husk is just trying to help Angel grow but isn't going to force him into it if he doesn't want to.
Im not a fan of huskerdust and think they'd be better friends as I can't imagine a relationship with them at all. But it's still nice and they are supportive of eachother so that's like- yknow. Basic rules. Or something like that. (HELP. I ruined it all at the last part)
I- girl- WHY IS SHE GROWLING?? GRR GRR RR (INSERT TWILIGHT SAGA HERE)
VAGGIE'S FACE. SENDS ME. WHO GAVE HER THESE OVERDRAMATIC EXPRESSIONS, I APPLAUD YOU RGAGAGA
Ooo... I didnt like this part at all... Instead of making the choice she just runs off. Then because the plot demands it, Adam says nothing. Kinda whish she atleast avoided the question, maybe in some way that would require actual thinking? For a character like Vaggie, she could choose either way and it feel like it's still her. If she chose to protect Charlie's dream, she would still be perfectly loyal to her but in the act of so would reveal a secret that could harm their relationship(which does happen at the end but that's because the plot wanted it like that). If she chose to side with Adam, she'd be hurting Charlie emotionally, sure, but it would keep a secret that could make Charlie see Vaggie less than who she is to her already(atleast what Vaggie might think would happen). Imo it should've been her deciding to protect Charlie, since it would mean she's devoted to her at all times.
ANOTHER THING! IF SHE COULDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE, THAT IS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GO INTO. Maybe it could go deeper into how Vaggie doesn't know who she is without Charlie. So when she has a choice to make, like here, she can't do it without feeling the need to ask Charlie. BUT NOOO, YA HAD TO GO WITH THIS!! Wow. That was a long ass rant. Wtf 😭
Maybe I'm a dumbass. Maybe they'll talk about that next episode, but still, atleast touch on it a bit to not seem rushed?
Angel looking out for his kids like a mom. We always did need the motherly figure, the one closest to that being Charlie but girl needs a mother in her life too(damn, wait, I did her so dirty).
Huh, so why does it work here then? 🤨🤨 if it was said in the contract that Valentino can do whatever he wants only in the studio, then why is this the exception? 🤨🤨
Yes I'm stupid. Why do you ask? (No genuinely what's happening here)
OH ITS THE IMAGE! I really like Sera so far, hope we get more of her soon or in season 2.
Now that we know the context of this, yeah, that's fucking insane. And badass. WOMEN.
HMM. THATS STRANGE. DID YOU NOT FOR ONCE THINK THERE COULD BE A POSSIBILITY SHE MIGHT HAVE BEEN AN ANGEL? Okay I probably wouldn't either but I have an excuse, I'm an idiot. Some girl with a standing out outfit, with one eye, looks unusually human, right after/during the extermination... that's pretty solid ass proof. But I'm dumb so don't take anything i say seriously :D
Imagine this. No- shit. Just-
JUST LOOK! THEY ARE SO CUTE! EVEN THOUGH CRAZY SHIT IS HAPPENING.
*SWEATS*
Vaggie is DESPERATE. PLEADING. That's obvious yeah, but don't mind me I had nothing to say for the last 3 images I just thought they were cool
I mean. Slay I guess. 😍💅
Do all the exterminators look similar or is it just Lute and Vaggie? 🤨
Even though Vaggie and Charlie may be going through this horrible thing with a hard punch in the gut, but Vaggie is always going to comfort her and I just think that's so adorable.
Also Adam looks like a chicken hah.
Everyone fears to be like Lucifer. If they don't do bad things they believe are for the greater good and make sacrifices that put them higher than those in hell, they could themselves be fallen. It's really interesting but I don't know if it's going to be fleshed out enough with the amount of episodes left. Which also worries me about everything else that still hasn't be concluded. There's gonna be loose strings I just know it. Hopefully though they rather do that then rush everything out y'know?
I want the next episode to be mostly focused on Vaggie and Charlie's relationship and the healing of what happened. Not for the entire episode of course, it would feel drawn out if it did, but atleast address the problem for the first like I would say 10 minutes? Then the rest would focus on one or two loose threads while also having Vaggie and Charlie acting upon moving on. That's just my idea but yeah-

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls-Season 3, Episode 12. “Lorelai Out Of Water” Part 2
Folgers really blows their little minds. Taylor's attorney's sure got her work cut out for her. I know she's supposed be on his side, but still. We're just gonna gloss over his long list of financial crimes, are we now, Miss Attorney?
Nicole is slumming it? Really? Luke is Stars Hollow's prize catch (ha ha, I made a fishing pun in an episode about fishing). Sure he can't spell Tomatoes correctly, he's a coffee fraud, and he breaks multiple labor, wage, and child protection laws, but he's hot, he's gainfully employed, and he'll bone you into next week and cook you breakfast afterwards. Plus, he's sassy.
Oh yeah. That's the stuff.
And I bet he rocked her world.
And we will never see evidence of one of these mythical so called "Dates" We can infer a little bit of information from this sentence, however: Seeing as she apparently needs transportation to get home, as opposed to them just walking home, one could assume that Jesss sometimes takes Rory out of Stars Hollow for dates. Good man. Looks like Jess managed to secure them a couple Day Passes to leave The Institution. I guess Lorelai is not (currently) flipping a snit that Rory is being picked up at their home, climbing into Jess' DeathSexMobile and disappearing unsupervised into the great beyond now and again. He can pick her up at Lorelai's front door with his car and drive off with her now, but not two episodes from now. Got it.
Damn, Luke. Give the barely legal skronklet a break will you.
Daydreaming pleasant Alex Thoughts.
AmyShermanPalladino claims the show operated on a shoestring budget; was that because they were paying their Fake Food Person a triple salary? The fake food steals the scene once again. As if Rory would ever order peas and carrots, but I digress. Rory shows up with some books about fishing so Lorelai can win Alex's heart and then eventually stick a fish hook in said heart, reel him in, and leave him on the dock flopping and gasping for air. Mm, I take that back. That's actually what she does to Luke in this episode, not Alex.
Oh, buddy.
Unlike Rory's unwavering faith that Jess plays imaginary sports with imaginary friends, Luke actually questions Lorelai when she infers that she has multiple friends who all indulge in a hobby that she wouldn't be caught dead involving herself in. (not yet, but later. But he knows. He knows).
Heh, heh. *way too long scene of Paris and Rory probably reconciling in Charleston's office* Me predicting Luke's reaction before he says the line: "You look ridiculous." Luke:
Get in the pool, loser, we're going fishing.
My kindgdom for euphimisms. Give me ALL the handjob euphimisms! What L&L scene had the best sexually charged dialogue thinly layered in metaphors? Was it this? Was it that whole "pounding on the porch rail" scene? The one with the pickles? The throbbing, aching painting party?
He knows. He knows.
Nice try, Lorelai. Like I said, that line might fly if you're Rory People Pleaser Gilmore. You ain't pulling that "I have friends" bit over on Luke.
Time for a Crazy Ex Girlfriend “I Have Friends” musical interlude!
I have friends, I definitely have friends! No one can I say that I do not have friends! Friends friends friendly friends time to meet my friends!
ALTERNATE SWAN SONG SCENE Rory: Where'd you get the black eye? Jess: I was playing ball with my friends. Rory: Since when do you engage in any athletic endeavors? What friends? ..... (she tries to end the sentence with an example but can't name one friend Jess has) Jess: Yeah you're right Rory you got me I have no friends it was actually a swan with a thirst for revenge Rory: Oh okay. Can we have sex now Jess: Yeah Anyway, the only other "friend" of Lorelai's Luke can come up with is her own daughter.
Oh Luke, you poor soul. After an uncomfortable exchange where Lorelai admits she's seeing Alex, Luke offers Lorelai the use of his Box and Pole on her date with another man.
I wouldn't get too crushed about it though, Danes. Alex will fall victim to the Wormhole in a few weeks, then you just have to wait it out for another...year and a half.
#gilmore girls#denise rewatches gilmore girls#luke danes#lorelai gilmore#rory gilmore#nicole#jess mariano#milo ventimiglia#lorelai out of water#loow#alex#fishing#pole#poll#box#salty polls#gilmore girls seaon 3#3x12#i have friends I definitely have friends

Marry My Husband (2024)
This show is not perfect, and it is certainly not Perfect Marriage Revenge, but it does have its charms.
What Worked
Like that other show about a time traveling wife who was betrayed by her family and goes back in time to get her revenge, this show was good because of its villains. Song Ha-yoon who plays the evil best friend Jung Soo-min was the most fun to watch of the baddies. She was believably bad while pretending to be nice, and watching her spiral out of control over the course of the series was a treat.
The show also made the most of its side characters, giving them interesting plots and bringing in a solid cast. I especially loved watching young actor Choi Gyu-ri bring this delightful manic energy to Yoo Hui-yeon (the younger sister / bestie). I could have used more scenes with her, and hopefully she'll break into a lead role in a future series.
What DIdn't Work
Though it had a solid final two episodes, the show sagged a bit in the last third. They brought in an evil-ex fiance character that just wasn't interesting to watch.
Also, there were a few moments where the show went from "Over the Top" to "Completely Unbelievable". Like the end of episode 13 (aka the "slowest truck of doom ever") and the end of episode 14 (aka "WTF Ji-won, don't just stand there, Kick him in the nuts, FFS!").
The Performances
Park Min-Young as ("Time Traveling Wife") Kang Ji-won. I've been kind of disappointed in PMY's choices lately, so it was nice to see her in a somewhat better role. There were moments when I felt pathos, or enjoyed the romance, but not that many. Mostly, it was the moments in the show where she got to be angry—and even a little ruthless—that I remember. Which is part of the appeal for any good revenge show.
Na In-woo as ("Future CEO") Yoo Ji-hyuk. I think he was a little wooden in this, but alot of that was the writing. The show was really focused on the FL and on her relationships, and it didn't have much space for him. I didn't really mind that, but it did make those few moments where he got to cut loose a little (like the ice cream scene) more memorable.
Lee Yi-kyung as ("The terrible ex-") Park Min-hwan. This guy was great at playing a mediocre man completely out of his depth. He was like one of those clown punching bags that just pop right up after you hit them. And it was fun watching him get beaten down and come right back up for more.
Song Ha-yoon as ("The evil bestie") Jung Soo-min. I liked watching her slowly get more evil and more crazy as the show went on. The actor did a great job making her contemptible, while pretending to be kind and thoughtful.
Lee Ji-kwang as ("The chef") Baek Eun-ho. Probably the most sympathetic character in the show. He just wants to run his restaurant and feed all his friends and get a cute girlfriend and all of these crazy people keep coming in and messing with things. Would have liked to see more of him, and his loveline, but what we got was nice.
Choi Gyu-ri as ("The Best Sister in the World") Yoo Hui-yeon. This actor had golden retriever energy and it was so much fun watching her in the middle of this craziness. I want to see an entire show with her just running around living her best life. We needed more of Hui-yeon and chef's story than we got, for sure.
Gong Min-jeung as ("Sad boss") Assistant Manager Yang. I've seen this actor a few times and I always enjoy her, though they rarely give her a good loveline. She got a pretty decent one here, despite all the other crazy stuff that happened, so that was nice. Again, could have used a few more scenes with her and Lee Seok-joon.
Ha Do-kwon as ("The Salaryman") Lawyer Lee Seok-joon. He did a good job bringing some gravity to this crazy show. Was able to be funny too (in a Butler Jeeves kind of way). Not enough time spent on him and Manager Yang's story, but what we got was good.
BoA as ("The Evil Ex-") Oh Yu-ra. This character felt more like a plot device than anything. There were a few moments where she could have felt menacing or crazy, but I don't think the actor was quite up to it. They needed to cast a real Mean Girl, but they didn't have enough story for that kind of character.
Ha Do-kwon as ("Bad Manager") Lee Seok-joon. They brought in a really good character actor and this guy made the most of the part. He felt like someone I could have met in real life, and I despised him. Which means the actor did a great job.
Everyone Else. The high school bully girls were fun to watch. Yang's husband did an okay job being despicable. The judo teammates were funny. Even the grandfather had a couple of good moments. Show did a good job taking care of its minor characters.
TL; DR:
If you liked Perfect Marriage Revenge, you'll probably like this too (and vice-versa). It's different enough that you don't feel like you're watching the same show twice. It's also not quite as good as that other show, which means people likely judged it a little harder than they otherwise might have done.

It’s Her Or Nothing ~ H.S
(Based on the song 'Good Luck Charlie" by Gracie Abrams)
Warnings: None x
Harry and his wife got into a major fight, with her storming out, Harry decided to ease some fire at a small bar downtown. While chatting with the tender Harry realises his worst nightmare is losing his wife and he immediately wanted to patch things up with the love of his life.
A/N: This is so short and I sincerely apologise, I literally have no motivation to write whatsoever and I’m experiencing a massive writers block episode at the moment so please give me suggestions or requests of what to write 🩷
Harry Styles
"You keep a picture of Audrey inside of your wallet, went for a drink and the bartender thought she was dead-”
I turn my wallet over on my hands, my elbows resting against the cold wood of the bar. An empty drink beside me. The Polaroid of her from last summer stares up at me, smiling happily into the camera, wearing a bright summer dress as we stand by a lake. All the memories of the moment come flooding back to my mind. The way she hid her face with her hand as I tried to take it, or the way she'd laugh and tell me to piss off as she peered over my shoulder at the developing picture. Then came the fight, the slamming of doors, the screaming, the crying. She packed her bags and left to go stay with her family. And it was all my fault.
“She's pretty, is she your girlfriend?" A voice snaps me out of my trance and I lift my head up to see the bartender. God she looks just like her, almost a splitting image.
"Oh uh..." I clear my throat and close my wallet over, sliding it back into my pocket. "My wife." I smile sadly up at the woman.
"She’s not with you tonight?”
I shake my head.
“What happened?"
"Oh I uh..." I take a breath and look down at the wood in front of me.
"I'm so sorry." I feel the bartender place a hand over mine on the counter, her face holding a small, comforting smile. "Grief can be hard, but just know that just because she's gone-" Her hand starts to move flirtingly up my arm until it reached my bicep and I can't help but feel the pit in my stomach.
I pull my arm away suddenly, taking a step back from her.
"She's not dead." I say quickly in a defensive tone. The bartender slowly pulls her hand away is if noticing my change in demeanour.
"I'm sorry...?" She blinks a couple times in surprise. "I thought you said-"
"She's not dead.” I defend. “I just-I made a mistake and I lost her. I swear I'm not some crazy idiot in a bar who thinks his dead girlfriend is still alive, I swear she is I just...God, I miss her so much." I sit back down at the bar, placing my head in my hands.
“-He made you live out that nightmare and you almost lost it-“
The bartender doesn’t say anything for a while, I guess it’s lot really in her expertise to comfort strangers. She clears her throat after a long moment of silence.
“You should call her.”
“What?” I lift my head up to look at her over the bar.
“Call her, you clearly miss her, that shows you still love her. I’m sure whatever mistakes you made she’ll forgive you and you can both move on.”
“I uh-“
“Here, you can borrow the bar phone.” She reaches down and picks up a wired phone from under the bar and places it in front of me on the counter. “Just don’t tell my boss.”
I take a deep breath and hesitantly reach my hand for the phone, dialling in my ex’s number and bringing it close to my ear, I could almost feel my hand shaking. As I was expecting it went to voicemail, I look up at the bartender who gives me a encouraging nod. I clear my throat.
“Uh hi, it’s me Harry. I just- I wanted to apologise for everything I did, it was stupid and I just don’t want to loose you over it. Please just…give me one more chance.”
There’s silence on the other end as her machine cuts off, I sigh and hand the phone back to woman.
“No luck?”
I shake my head.
“Don’t worry, she’ll come around eventually, us women always do.”
“Thanks, I’m just gonna head home.” I stand up from the stool I was sat on, grabbing my Joey and heading towards the door. As I exit the bar and make my way down the street and back home my own mobile rings in my pocket. Confused at who’s unrecognised number was calling me this late at night I pick it up, placing the phone to my ear.
“Hello?”
“Harry? It’s me, your wife.”

Nice Jewish Character Showdown 2023 - Round Two Eliminations
Another round has passed, one I'd liken to a bloodbath, and we're down to 8 competitors in the race for the NJCS 2023 title. Before the quarterfinal votes go live, let's check in with those disqualified contestants and discuss what makes them such Nice Jewish Characters.
Match One Elimination: Cristina Yang, Grey's Anatomy Probably the most well-known Asian Jew in television, Cristina Yang is canonically Jewish, thanks to her step-father who raised her in it (her mother converted). Grey's has a weird relationship with Judaism, like a lot of medical dramas, but it definitely gets points for the rare and definitely appreciated look at how diverse the Jewish population is.
Match Two Elimination: Tevye, Fiddler on the Roof It's the quintessential Jewish musical, it's one of the main reasons we've seen a shtetl-core resurgence, it's Fiddler! It was definitely the match-up of the dads this time around, and as much as I love this man, his success rate in reference to loving and supporting his daughters is, well... not a perfect score. Thank you Sholem Aleichem for the original stories, thank you Chaim Topol for your iconic portrayal in the movie, alongside Zero Mostel, Leonard Nimoy (yes, Nimoy played Tevye for a bit!), Alfred Molina, Harvey Fierstein, Danny Burstein, and many, many more. Nothing truly hits like being a Jew in the diaspora and watching Fiddler. Still bummed I haven't had a chance to see Yiddler, the Yiddish remount. (Oh, and Fiddler tends to be free on Youtube, so if you haven't seen it before -- or want to revisit Anatevka, treat yourself!)
Match Three Elimination: Rebecca Bunch, Crazy Ex Girlfriend *hits top of a car* this baby can fit so many song titles from CEXG in it When looking for representation, it can often feel like no one else is singing your song. Sure, there are the characters whose Judaism is restricted to reminding you that we've suffered, or who become props for some Christmas Special. But then we get a gem in the rough, a girl in love, a Jewish American Princess who moves across the country to follow a former summer camp crush. Crazy Ex Girlfriend was a rarity, and the four season run blessed us with a lot of quality television, and something even rarer -- a multidimensional Jewish lead. If you haven't had a chance to meet Rebecca, the entire show is available to stream on Netflix. And yes, when I realized how much she was losing this round, this song was on loop in my brain. Apologies to Rachel Bloom and the rest of the CEXG team, I seriously thought you'd sweep this thing. What a twisted fate.
Match Four Elimination: Lily Moscovitz, The Princess Diaries Oh, Lily, I think the internet misunderstands you more often than not these days. But to ignore your Jewishness is an absolute faux pas, whether you're looking at the movies or the much more blatantly Jewish representation you get in the books. Seriously though, I can think of at least a handful of Jewish girls I grew up with who remind me of the headstrong public access host. Side note -- to all the girlies who grew up hating their curly hair because of the nightmare of a makeover Mia got, I'm right there with you, and we'll get through this together. Honestly, I think there's something to be said about Jew-coding's relationship with makeover scenes, but we don't have the time for that right now.
Match Five Elimination: Francine Frensky, Arthur I've mentioned before how I grew up on public access television, so is it any surprise when I say that Francine was (probably) the first time I saw myself on television? Even if it didn't come up a lot outside of holiday episodes (at least in the seasons that aired when I watched), Francine's Judaism felt recognizable. Plus, if you told her she was just token representation, she'd probably sock you in the face. Oh, and something I found while researching -- THE GOLEM IS A PLOT POINT IN A HALLOWEEN EPISODE?! Seriously, props to PBS.
Match Six Elimination: Ferris Bueller, Ferris Bueller's Day Off Finding good representation in any 80's movie is going to be an uphill battle, considering well. The 80's-ness of it all. So when looking for a good Jewish character, it's much easier to default back to the transitive property of Jewish media (art made by Jews being Jewish by way of their perspective being translated into the text). Since Matthew Broderick, Ferris himself, is Jewish, who's to say the most beloved delinquent of his era isn't too? Plus, he's a stock standard rebel against restrictive institutions. Listen, I have the original Footloose on my coded Jewish representation Letterboxd list, I have no room to judge. *Points to Ferris* That's a NJB right there.
Match Seven Elimination: Truman Burbank, The Truman Show Speaking of my coded Jewish representation Letterboxd list, this movie SCREAMS Judaism to me. Come on -- it's so critical of Christianity that it almost falls backwards into Judaism. Free will in spite of a higher power? Disagreeing with authority so much that you flee your home, your world, your reality? Helps that his hometown is so heavily designed after post-war 50's suburbia, which has its own relationship with being Jewish. So is Truman Jewish? I think he can be -- watch the movie and make the call for yourself. It's a classic for a reason, and I won't rob you of the experience.
Match Eight Elimination: Wall-E, Wall-E Wall-E, my robot blorbo, the most Guy of any Pixar protagonist -- what makes him Jewish? He loves Barbra Streisand, collects tcotchkes, and is relentlessly working to make the world better, even if he's the only one still doing it (tikkun olam has NEVER seen a cuter mascot).

I think the warrior cats and warriors in your submission list are the same thing, btw do you have reccomendations of like. anything that writes woman well
Ah, you might be right; I think I skimmed that entry's propaganda, and it was very specific to whatever series it was about without dropping the full series name, and I was like "Maybe this is Warrior Cats? I feel lazy, I'm not going to look heavily into it."
So, as a reminder: use the full but common name for the series! For example, Miraculous Ladybug (this seems to be the most common title despite being a shortened version), Warrior Cats, BBC Sherlock, etc. And check that you don't have a space after the title's entry, as that counts as a different entry than the title without the space when using the UNIQUE function in Google sheets (which is how I count the unique entries).
As for recommendations, this is hard because I watch a lot of trash, especially recently, but:
- You can never go wrong with Revolutionary Girl Utena. Note: this show (and start with the show, not the movie) has a lot of potentially triggering stuff, so check out those warnings before you start if you have any triggers at all. It uses the triggering stuff very well and to tell its story and explore its themes, not just for, like, titillation though. Indeed, it is, I would argue, necessary for the story and themes the show seeks to explore. It is legally free on Youtube in...I want to say 480p, and in better resolution on Crunchyroll and Funimation (yes, Funimation's site is still up; I find it superior to Crunchyroll's since it actually includes closed captions for dubs, although it doesn't include newer anime from after the two companies merged). Also, you want to watch the sub for this. I'm normally not one to say "the dub is bad" and stuff and be a purist about it—in fact I normally go to bat for dubs—but, uh... yeah, the dub is bad this time. Crispin Freeman and Dan Green are delightful in it though, I'll give it that.
- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood uses its female characters well. Maybe it could be better, I've seen some people in these tournaments have beef with it, but it's a pretty perfectly told story, like solid A+, with a lot of really great female characters who I find very satisfying so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. This is on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and I believe Amazon Prime?
- Don't let the title fool you: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is a fantastic show with great female characters who are complex and human, have compelling arcs, and are vital to the story. The relationship between Rebecca and Paula is central to the show and SO good, especially as the show goes on. The title is because it explores the trope of the crazy ex-girlfriend in a very humanizing way, and the title/opening song even mentions how the title is a sexist term, but it's a lot more nuanced than that. Also, it's a musical with very good original songs every episode. But check trigger warnings for this show too though. The show is streaming on Netflix last I checked.
- Uhh... maybe the first two seasons of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic? It's a kid's show, but it's good. I haven't seen it in years and years though, so I don't know if I can still fully vouch for it. I believe it is streaming on Netflix?
- Revue Starlight? I haven't thought about it heavily, but I had no beef watching it. This is streaming on HiDive.
- I've heard good things about Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, but I can't vouch for it personally. It's streaming on Crunchyroll.
UPDATE: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is also legally on youtube!
Honestly, I know more imperfect shows that I'm satisfied with, like I give it a B+ to A- at least, but that I haven't thought heavily about than stuff where I'm like, "Oh, yeah, definitely, definitely, nothing I'd pick out there as a problem." For example, Baccano! is probably imperfect (as well as not streaming legally anywhere), but I don't remember being, like, struck by a bunch of problems there. So, I'm not the best for recs that I can give a 100% guarantee for.

I was tagged by: @matbaynton - thank you! <3
Tag someone you want to know AND/OR some of your besties.
This turned into a monster of a thing so I'm sticking it under a cut!
Favourite colour: I am rubbish at this question. I love various colours in various contexts, but at the moment I am really gravitating towards greens. Green is a colour I haven't paid much attention to before, but for some reason over the last few months I have taken an interest in it. I even bought a solid green jumper!
Last song: When Things Explode by Unkle. It's a song I first heard on an episode of Person of Interest and it's now on one of my YouTube music playlists. Takes me right back!
Last movie: I had to check my Letterboxd for this - that's how often I'm watching films at the moment! It was the 1995 version of Persuasion that I rewatched at the end of August. A film I only discovered recently but has become one of those instant comforting favourites.
Currently watching: Oh heck - I'm struggling to keep track, there are so many! I'm watching The English at the moment. Also Outsiders series 2, Taskmaster series 16, New Girl (on season 2), This Farming Life series 6 with my dad on a Sunday morning, All Creatures Great and Small series 4, Fletchers' Family Farm series 2, Schitt's Creek with @phantomviola (on season 5), The Musketeers (series 2) and Black Books (series 3) with @userdjarin and who could forget Our Flag Means Death season 2 which has taken over my brain! Along with all that I squeezed in a Primeval series 2 rewatch which I finished the other night. [slaps roof of my brain] this bad boy can fit so many narratives in it.
Other stuff I watched this year: HAH! I have an IMDb list of TV shows I've watched this year! It's long as heck! Silk, The IT Crowd, Black Sails, The Last of Us, Lost in Space, Endeavour, The Terror, Arrested Development, Community, Vicious, Prehistoric Planet, Why Didn't They Ask Evans?, Ted Lasso, Miranda, The North Water, His Dark Materials, And Then There Were None, Jonathan Strange & Mister Norrell, The Great British Sewing Bee, The Bear, Blackadder, 30 Rock, Chernobyl and The Expanse. And those are just the ones worth mentioning! And some of these I watched four times! Okay, one thing. Okay, it was The Terror.
As for films, it's a poor show this year - I haven't watched as many (see above for reason why). I have seen the latest Spiderverse film and I've love to see Barbie!
Shows I dropped this year/didn’t finish: The Mandalorian (sob!), Vikings (I think I was maybe an episode or two shy of finishing the first season but... man... I just wasn't having fun), My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (to be fair this might have been last year, I can't remember, but I know I stopped a few episodes into season 2), Fleabag (I watched one or two episodes... wasn't quite for me).
Currently reading: Darwin by Adrian J. Desmond and James R. Moore (about 100 pages in but I'm taking this one slow because I'm not hyperfixating on him) and Dead Famous by Greg Jenner which I am taking even slower. I've read quite a few books related to the Franklin Expedition this year (thanks, The Terror) and for a while I was reading pretty solidly but I guess that's what hyperfixation does to you!
Currently listening to: I'm not really listening to music much these days thanks to YouTube's annoying ad blocker pop-up so I'm typing this in silence, haha! But podcast-wise I'm doing great. Three Bean Salad is probably my favourite podcast at the moment. The humour is just too good, and I look forward to hearing the lads every week. I'm also binging The Rest is History which is a bit more serious but still has its fun moments. I'm also listening to Off Menu, No Such Thing as a Fish, The Bones Booth, Taskmaster: The Podcast, The Mariner's Mirror Podcast, and odd episodes of RHLSTP if I know the guest. I save podcasts for when I'm doing something like washing the dishes, walking or driving.
Currently working on: Now that the puppy I found at the end of August is vaccinated, she can go out and about, and that has led to me abandon the polymer clay for a while to return to a hobby that I haven't spent much time on since early 2020 at the latest. I wanted to make her some nice collars and leads so she looks smart for our walks which I will inevitably be photographing. I know it's kind of hard to see but I made this collar and lead for her.
I was a bit worried that I'd forgotten how to sew the leather but thankfully not. I have a few more straps of leather lying around that I'd like to make into collars and leads as well. And several rope leads that need whipping (you wrap thinner twine around the thicker rope to finish it and protect the end from fraying) but I'm having to take my time with those because the twine is murder on my soft, delicate, feminine hands. I can whip maybe four leads before my fingers are red. It's worth the pain!
Current obsession: Our Flag Means Death has taken over my life once again. Whatever happens in the finale next week, I know I will be a mess. Heck, I'm already a mess.
I'm tagging: some recent mutuals so we can get to know each other, but no pressure! @tigerballoons, @woofety, @jackharkness, @jddryder, @ajcrowleys and @skatingthinandice! <3
#matbaynton#tagged#i have a lot of stuff going on now that i see it written down haha#anyway that was fun! i'll try to get a few more things done that i've been tagged in

Short n' Sweet. also, Russell T. Davies rant.
So I am a carpenter, fun fact, and I will be talking about Sabrina Carpenter's new album, but there is a lot on today's itinerary. So I will split everything by pictures and the sections will be in this order.
Russel T. Davies rant. (I'm watching you mate) Short n' Sweet debrief
RUSSELL YOU NO-GOOD MAN. WHAT DO YOU MEAN "I can't see River Song making an appearance." I can't see satisfying explanations you decided to cut out because they "weren't necessary" or because "it's pretty obvious what 73 yards meant" WAS IT???
Okay, so I am very happy that this new era seemingly went over well with Disney meaning it will continue to live a long and prosperous life, which ,as the world's largest whovian, YAYYY! however, if Russell continues to cut off important parts of episodes, like a one-off line explaining Sutekh??? yeah, I'm gonna start throwing hands. Like, get on your shit mate. What is this?
And saying no River Song, and especially no Alex Kingston??? I am so not live, laugh, loving rn.
Something that has got me live, laugh, loving right now is my queen's 6th album!!!!
Yeah, no, I am indeed obsessed. When slim pickins was teased, I'm not gonna lie, I was sceptical about how good the album was gonna be and if my queen was gonna enter her flop era, luckily it was just a "bad time" in a sea of "singular act 1" type situation. So we are so back.
ratings, because duh: 1. Taste - 8/10. When I first listened to it, I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. I was swayed heavily by the music video as I have been in love with Jenna Ortega for pretty much as long as I've been in love with Sabrina Carpenter, so you do the maths. 2. Please Please Please - 7/10 I love it, don't get me wrong, but with the other songs on the album, it's not the best now, is it? 3. Good Graces - 6/10 I didn't love it, and with no music video that kicked in my gay panic. It is probably my least favourite, IT ISN'T BAD BY ANY MEANS. I love the chorus and the beat, but the start is so slow. Very much club music x like a weak 2020 doja cat/ariana grande vibe. like it's not the best. Is it stuck in my head 24/7? sure... so 4. Sharpest Tool - 9/10 the next 3 songs are heavenly and incredible that they are back to back. It's such a beautifully soft song like skinny dipping but slightly hornier and sadder. My vibe completely (I love Conan Gray) 5. Coincidence - 10/10 I love it sooo much. RnBina is back besties. The gospel choir in the chorus. ughhhh. deceased. I died from heavenly tunes. It is such a good song, it's so unapologetically ruthless. Just a song for haters (me.) /j 6. Bed Chem - 10/10!! I'm sure it'll be the biggest mainstream success, this and probably Taste and Juno. But this one is for the same reason Nonsense killed because 1 it's iconic, 2 it's funny as shit, and 3 cause it's catchy as hell. It has been on my mind on repeat for ages. Also lowkey giving Rachel Bloom, someone I'm sure no one reading this knows, she's from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and was youtube famous for singing about touching boobies. I don't wanna talk about it. (sharpest tool reference?) 7. Espresso - 8/10 I used to think Please Please Please was better than this but listening to it again when listening to the whole album, it is actually a masterpiece? no, but it is truly spectacular. but I love it? 8. Dumb & Poetic - 8/10 I enjoy it a lot, it's a little depresso, but based on my explanation of Sharpest Tool's ranking, I think it's clear I enjoy that vibe a little. 9. Slim Pickins - 6/10 I'm so sorry just not my vibe, and "the lord forgot my gay awakening" was a humbling experience. But all jokes aside, I felt like it couldn't decide if it was funny or serious. 10. Juno - 10/10 Are you kidding me, again it's a bit horny, but one of my faves from eics was fast times so it's not an issue for me. 11. Lie To Girls - 8/10 I like it, I think. A bit too real. I feel like it's a song that in like a month or two I've cried to it so I love it, like most most Superache songs, ya get me? 12. Don't Smile - 9/10 Yes, I like this one a lot. its sad as well, but it hits so heavy, the beat is delicious, again its giving doja/ariana for some reason, also "doja/ariana" makes no sense and i under stand that, but it's just a delectable vibe, WHEN DONE RIGHT, (sorry good graces...)
overall 9/10 nothing can beat singular act 1. sorry not sorry (demi lovato reference)

thots on finishing my second full rewatch of crazy ex girlfriend
god if only my identity issues and lack of career goals could be miraculously resolved by just noticing an intense passion ive always had bubbling under the surface but that it just never occurred to me to pursue for some reason. sarah marshall voice MUST BE NICE.
this is an amazing and incredible show for a lot of reasons one of which is its very firm adherence to thesis but there are also times where it feels like the writing cant get out of its own way because of this. e.g. actively sabotaging nathaniel as a love interest in ways that dont totally make sense given his past characterization because its important for story reasons that he not outpace greg or josh in terms of personal growth or attachment/importance to rebecca. like as early as mid-season 3 hes clearly already undergoing a lot of the changes that would make him a more kindhearted and respectful person but then in season 4 he just kind of. forgets them temporarily so that rebecca will break up with him and make him learn a lesson that he appeared to have halfway already learned. idk it feels like a bit of a nitpicky problem because there really is no easy fix for this writing-wise but i did notice it
valencia being team greg does not make sense to me. it just does not. valencia and greg never really had a dynamic that differentiated itself from her dynamic with the rest of josh's friends, and she had no response to greg and rebecca being together when that happened because her character wasnt relevant to that plotline at the time so her rooting for them to get back together just seems to be based totally on secondhand knowledge of what their relationship was like that we don't even see her get. i understand that heather picked nathaniel because they had their little bonding moment in 4x06 and paula picked josh because she was og team josh and likewise because they also bonded a bit in the same episode but i personally feel valencia-josh heather-greg paula-nathaniel would have made more sense. valencia really cooled on josh after their breakup (to a degree i honestly found to be a bit much, she basically treats him like hector whom she actively disliked until 4x10 and its like. hello???) but she did sincerely love him at one point and tbh i think they should have had a little reconciliation arc and she should have been rooting for joshbecca, heather likewise dated greg and knows him really well and saw firsthand how much he loves rebecca, and paula is close to nathaniel because they work together and she saw his personal growth from collaborating with him on the pro bono cases. idk. i like 4x06 but i also feel like there wasnt really a need for heather to learn to like nathaniel because they werent clearly shown in the past to have a negative dynamic based on dislike or disrespect and likewise with paula and josh. it made sense kind of but it could have made more sense.
season 4 in general is a total mess and i think it just comes down to the season having way too many episodes and not enough to fill them. all the greg and rebecca stuff is good, the nathaniel dream sequence episode is great use of filler, i love the development of josh and rebecca becoming friends again and then catching feelings, and i love the denouement for paula in particular as well as heather and valencia although i think the latter two dont have as much substance and some of the conflict in them feels contrived. but in general everything is stretched out wayyyy too much, the songs feel sparser and weaker (theres like four or five that i would consider really great and would happily listen to on a regular basis but that's out of an entire season's worth of songs after three seasons of almost nonstop bangers) and multiple episodes that just feel like the show spinning its wheels. 4x09 in particular is a weak point and might actually be my least favorite episode, i cant believe they thought anyone was going to get excited about the prospect of rebecca fucking the random tinder dude from 1x04 plus the cats parody songs are such a slog. tbh most of the back half of my personal episode ranking is filled out by episodes from s4. there are some memorable high points here and there but it really takes some endurance to get through the rest of the season
skylar astin greg. what is there left to say about skylar astin greg. hes just a different guy. i already made a post about him so i wont repeat myself too much. idk. hes okay, he does produce a greg-like impression, he has good chemistry with rachel. hes like greg flavored la croix. i definitely dont hate him in the role and in a lot of ways i think he was a great choice for the show (to be honest i think santinos charisma is so intense that it would have just been a bit much to put his greg in a horse race with josh and nathaniel, plus his dynamic with rebecca would have felt completely different and would have lacked that sense of 'hello, nice to meet you' that i do think was necessary for them at that point) but ill always be wistfully wondering what could have been if santino had been able to come back to reprise the character
honestly despite all its flaws in a way almost any criticism of this show feels like nitpicking to me because it's just so fucking great

I was tagged by @jiminsproof @summerwave & @cosmicdreamgrl to list 10 TV shows to get to know me. Thanks to Natalia, Heather, and Steph 💜💜💜
NCIS LA - This show is the reason I'm on Tumblr and my first fandom. I've met some really amazing people because of this show and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Community - I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched this show. It's one of my comfort shows and I'll never get tired of it.
Futurama - I'm currently rewatching this one for the who knows how many times. It's still hilarious and amazing. Possible controversial opinion - the episode with Fry's brother and the seven leaf clover is more heart wrenching that the one with his dog.
Psych - Shawn Spencer is the dumbest smart boy in the world so of course he's my favorite.
Star Trek - No, I will not choose a specific series and you can't make me. All Star Trek is good so I'm choosing all of it.
Elementary - Platonic soulmate detectives solving crimes while having the best wardrobe in the world? Yes please!
New Girl - Another show I've rewatched a bunch of times. Nick Miller is my soulmate.
Crazy Ex Girlfriend - Just an absolute brilliant show. Every episode has amazing songs that will get stuck in your head forever.
Bob's Burgers - The Belchers are the best TV family. Maybe the best family period.
Justified - Everyone on this show is a sassy asshole and I love them. Plus Timothy Olyphant just keeps getting more and more attractive the older he gets. It's really not fair.
Tagging @lauraperfectinsanity @lightedwindows @zerotolove @sspaz1000 @sonyarebecchi and anyone else who wants to do this 💗

Okay im not On here often enough and my tumblr skills is bad. Sabs, please explain Who fletcher is and why we (yes we) are obsessed with her??
oh bestie it's such a fucking wild ride 😭 I apologise in advance for how long this will be but you don't understand how obsessed I am with this, it's probably unhealthy
fletcher is a really awesome queer musician! she writes beautiful lyrics and is known for being super honest and blunt, some would even say too much but it's kinda iconic. I met her last month and she's the sweetest angel and she has a new album coming out on friday!! absolutely worth listening to
basically the relevant bit here is she dated a very popular lesbian youtuber (shannon) from 2016 to 2020 and they had a pretty intense love story that they never actually discussed publicly UNTIL they broke up and fletcher released an ep called The S(ex) Tapes all about their relationship and shannon directed every music video for it and starred in two of them too. at the same time they also released a huge amount of pictures, videos, text screenshots and voice notes from their relationship which was just insane. oh, and this was during 2020 where they decided to spend 4 months quarantined together despite having broken up before that. this was an iconic era and still one of my faves music-wise and if you want more details, this is such a good thread
the whole thing really became more mainstream in 2022 when fletcher released her debut album, a lot of which was about shannon still, and in particular a song called 'becky's so hot' that seriously took off on lesbian tiktok. becky was shannon's new girlfriend and the two had a whole beef on tiktok about it and there were tshirts involved and it's a whole thing but honestly not my fave so I won't expand too much 😅
anyways the next chapter is they happened to run into each in 2023 at an eras tour concert and fletcher wrote an amazing song about it called 'eras of us' and around the same time shannon started a podcast called exes and o's where she said she'd talk about her relationships among other stuff.
which leads us to today when she released a sneak peak of this episode and there was it includes an 'um' that is very obviously fletcher to anyone who knows her voice. and of course the internet is breaking over it because this is huuuge, no one really thought it would ever happen and again, they never ever discussed their relationship so it's crazy it's happening 4 years after they broke up and 8 years after they met.
also, it is both of their birthdays tomorrow (stream 'birthday girl' by fletcher, it's my fav), podcast comes out on wednesday and then fletcher's album on friday so everything is crazy

Kory believes in destiny
So about the last episode, I've come to understand the dinner as Kory's mindspace, I know it kinda conflicts with the first time the place actually appeared because then it was a real place in the world, but look, Titans is clearly a show with a weak world-building and weird internal logic and...
Not the point of this post.
Kory, she believes in destiny.
She was groomed since birth to do so, it's wired in her brain even if she tries so hard to break free, to deconstruct this way of thinking as she fights to make her own choices instead of the ones pointed to her. She, even in this incarnation, is guided by her feelings. And when the time comes to chose between what she was told to do and what she feels it's right she trusts herself.
And she is hardly ever wrong.
She knows herself intimately, she's not like Dick, who lies to himself and fights himself all the damn time because he was taught that way by Bruce.
When Kory doubts, it's not herself, but the choices of others, the wellbeing of others. Because she was raised to be a Queen. And she believed that was her destiny, and when she rebelled, and learned all the meddling, and the injustice and the lies she was feed all her life in Tamaran, she didn't stop believing in destiny. Instead, the truth about her parents and Komand'r became further proof that she was always right to yearn for freedom, because in truth, she was never destined to be Queen, that was someone else's destiny.
So, without her parents to guide her, since they lied to her (and if she was sent at young age away from home to be trained as her comic book self was), the person who appears in the place she goes whenever she feels lost to help her to find an answer within herself, is the memory of her old Master/Governess.
After a whole life of fighting between what she's told to do and what she feels she should do, it's to this mentor of hers that she goes when needs help working things through, or to get some sort of approval from this figure of reference, to just take the next step and do what she already knows she wants, which is to pursue romantic happiness with the man she is already by all means except the biblical one, already wedded to.
All that to say that scene reminded me of the Dream Ghost song from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 🤣

Okay 10 shows to get to know me? Hm
1. The Nanny: comedy is still gold, Fran’s outfits are everything to me, the romance between Mr. Sheffield and Fran is heart eyes
2. Sabrina the Teenage Witch: early seasons for the outfits, the insane situations later seasons for Salem the cat
3. The owl house: I love cartoons that make me feel something and this cartoon is not only hilarious but amity and luz mean just short of everything to me
4. Sense8: everything everything everything. Plot, concept, execution this show was perfect and did not deserve the death it had the hands of Netflix Corporate
5. CRASH LANDING ON YOU: it gave me everything I could ever want out of a live action romantic comedy. Full of hilarious moments and loveable characters and serious stakes
6. Hometown Cha Cha Cha: while one of the mains was embroiled in a scandal straight out of a kdrama he was exonerated and he’s such a good actor. Helps that he’s so very very hot. I will say having a dental emergency is a classic kdrama choice. Made me want to move to a small coastal town in South Korea
7. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: genuinely my favorite show of all time. Songs are not only hilarious but they are catchy!! Excellent execution. Just have to get through the first 4 episodes, because they will be so embarrassing that you will want to stop watching but keep going bc it’s worth it
8. Hilda: a cartoon that made me feel something. Once you get into the world it’s impossible to get out. Beautiful story brilliantly executed
9. Troll Hunters: Tales of Arcadia: art is amazing. Animation was satisfying and the story made me cry like four times
#to be fair#I’ve cried at 90% of the other shows too#I am a sucker for found family and people who never thought they could be on the in-crowd getting accepted#furthermore we need more black shoes that are just black#we hate respectibilty politics on this blog#i have a lot of opinions and I love to talk about them#leeleegetsreal
