What do you need to hear right now? 🍯🐝
✨ Hello, hello, busy bees! ✨
Today, I just felt like pulling some cards and seeing what happened! Below, I have some cards for you to choose from!
[At the end, I have my ko-fi linked if you’d like to donate! Not required! Just appreciated if you’re feeling generous!]
[Cards to choose from are from the deck ‘The Divine Masters Oracle’ by Kyle Gray and Jennifer Hawkyard’]
Pile One:
Isis - Calling Your Power Back
‘Grapejuice’ by Harry Styles “There’s just no getting through; without you…”
‘Angels On the Moon’ by Thriving Ivory “Don’t tell me if I’m dying, ‘cause I don’t wanna know; If I can’t see the sun maybe I should go…’
‘Tarot of The Divine’ by Yoshi Yoshitani: The Emperor, KnoC, 7oS, KoP, 6oP, QoP, 2oS, KoS, 10oC, The Empress, 2oW, The Magician, 7oW, The World, The Chariot, 9oS, Judgement, 10oS, The Devil, The Hanged Man, 4oC, KoC, The Hierophant, 4oP

‘Moon Magic’ by Marie Bruce: Blood on the Moon, Star Gazer, Toad, Arcturus, Wolf Moon, Moon Stuck
Hi, Pile One! I feel as though I’m speaking to a peer. I’m 22, so you might be close to my age. Either that or you have a pretty youthful energy. I also feel a soft masculine vibe from this pile. Which leads into the reading. You know you don’t have to be all macho to honor your masculine side, right? Masculinity is about providing and strength. It’s not about being a massive dickhead. You can be ‘soft’ and still be a good husband and father. You aren’t a pansy or anything like that. I feel that you probably have family or friends who have more “traditional views”. But, no offense, they’re idiots. You’re uniquely you. You don’t fit into the boxes your social group tries to put you in, and that’s okay. To hell with them! Do what makes you happy, honey! Be you! You aren’t alone in not liking labels. You are human. You don’t have to be put into a box. Live freely. You may be highly sought after, but you aren’t making good friends or lovers. You have a very sweet air about you once you start to open up to people and most of those people tend to take advantage of you. You may want to pursue something in fashion or you might have a keen eye of what looks good and what doesn’t. You may tend to dress down to keep eyes off of you, but if wearing cute clothes makes you happy then do it! Who cares what anyone says! This is your life and you deserve to present how you want! Your new life will always cost you your old one. Don’t be afraid to let people, things, or situations go to move forward with who you truly are and what you truly deserve. Have the confidence to be who you truly are! And honestly, your family isn’t going to care that much. They’ll come around and truly just be happy that you’re happy. When you feel good about yourself, you do better in life. You have the ambition to go after what you want and take it. Plus, being a people pleaser is a form of manipulation. It’s not good to lie to yourself and in turn lie to others. Be mindful. You aren’t a bad person or less than for being ‘different’. You’re just you. And that’s exactly what you’re supposed to be, little bee!
- Bunny 💛🍯
Pile Two:
The Blue Beings - Light Transmission
Gold Rush - Taylor Swift “Everybody wonders what it would be like to love you…”
Permanent Vacation - Arrows in Action “I found my peace; In places I had never been…”
‘Tarot of The Divine’ by Yoshi Yoshitani: Judgement, The Lovers, The Fool, 3oP rx, 8oS, The Hierophant Rx, 9oP, 6oP, QoW, 10oP, The Wheel of Fortune, KoC, 3oC, 9oC, KnoP, 7oC, 8oC, 1oP, 5oP, 10oW, PgoW, 7oW
‘Oracles of Shadows & Light’ by Lucy Cavendish and Jasmine Becket-Griffith: Sea Storm //Calm amid chaos. I Am Kali //From death comes rebirth. Fairy of the Divine Hand //Intoxication, distorted view, overindulgence! Snow Angel //The signs are with you already!
‘Moon Magic’ by Marie Bruce: New Moon, First Quarter, Esbat, Black Cat, Unicorn Moon, Glimmering
Hey, Pile Two! You’re living as your authentic self! Congratulations! I feel like this took you some time and you may have felt a little called to pile one at first. I see that you’re getting to go out and party and have fun with new people! Black cats might be significant to you. (I take them as good luck!) You’ve learned to keep friends close, but not too close. You have good boundaries with other people and how the interact with your life. But, do you have good boundaries with yourself? Yes, you’re having fun and making money. But, are you remembering to keep your limits in mind? Are you overindulging in sex, booze, or just staying up too late? Make sure you’re still focusing on how to make yourself feel good, without getting lost in it. I’m so proud of you, though! I know it’s hard to find the balance, especially when you’ve only recently learned you DESERVE to feel good about yourself and have fun. But remember to reel it in and relax sometimes. You don’t have to go, go, go. And you don’t have to be lazy or greedy either. Just find balance in all that you do! Great work on choosing yourself, Pile Two!! To add a little treat for all your hard work and continued efforts to better yourself, you seem to have love offers coming in! That’s right! You’ve got options! I feel like you’ve been manifesting them (through prayer or just having something like a Pinterest board with relationship ideas and goals). They’re on their way! Keep yourself in check to be the best version of yourself for YOU and how you want to handle these new love offers!
[P.S. you don’t need as much confirmation as you think! Start trusting yourself more, busy bee. You’ve made it this far all on your own, why have still doubt yourself?]
- Bunny 🍯💛
Pile Three:
Hanuman - Devoted Warrior
Under Pressure - Queen & David Bowie “Pressure, pushing down on me; Pressing down on you…”
Take Me To Church - Hozier “I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies; I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife…”
‘Tarot of The Divine’ by Yoshi Yoshitani: The Magician, The Tower Rx, 8oW, The Lovers, The Devil Rx, 2oC, PgoP, The Moon, The Empress Rx, 3oS, 7oS, 4oS, KoS, 5oC Rx, 6oC Rx, 9oS
‘Oracles of Shadows & Light’ by Lucy Cavendish and Jasmine Becket-Griffith: Autumn Is My Last Chance //Please don’t lose hope! Strangely Lonely //Holding on way too tight. Witch at the End of the World //An important end, a new beginning. Fairy of the Highlands // It’s time to be brave.
‘Moon Magic’ by Marie Bruce: Sky God, Nightshade, Toad, Star Gazer, Full Moon, Moon Dust
You’ve been through the wringer, pile three! I see that you’ve been put in a situation to where you’ve had to pull away from a toxic situation involving a feminine energy who wasn’t reciprocating what you were giving them. This was really hard for you because you’re loyal and devoted. You would never turn your back on someone you love, but they turned their back first. You avoided a tower moment by stepping away and being firm in yourself and your morals! You aren’t a bad person, you just know when it’s time to cut the crap and leave people behind! Way to go!! I see that because of being able to cut this person out, you’ve made room for someone new! Don’t be afraid to open up and make new connections! Not everyone is here to use you, honey bee! You’ve cut off a lot of people lately or are at least hiding away to try and keep yourself safe. It’s making you lonely and you’re looking at things from a hopeless perspective. You are worthy of good things, love. Release control of what’s happening. Realize you have fought hard and deserve to relax and unwind. You can have fun with other people! Go on dates! Make friends with people online or in person! Go have fun! Get out of the house and go for a walk, you never know who you might bump into! Stop playing it too safe, pile three! Live your life! If you hide away, you’re still letting that old person and their energy have control over you! Remember who is really in control here! Keep buzzing onwards and upwards!
- Bunny 🍯💛
💛🍯 Bunny’s Notes:
Thank you for buzzing by! I hope that if this resonated with you, you gain the courage to keep being yourself and finding the balance of when to act defensively or when you should turn away from things/people/situations that no longer serve you! Love and light to you all!
If you’d like to tip me, below is the link to my ko-fi! Not needed to enjoy my readings! Thank you so much, busy bees! 💛🐝

The Lost Boys + Chaotic child
We love father figure vampires
Note: Once I finished writing this, My niece Sammie was born!! :D
Probably found you on the boardwalk, ALONE???
“Hey uhm… where are your parents?” “To be honest, I have no clue.”
He knew you would fit right in when you were grinning ear to ear as a train passed through the shaky bridge.
Not worried about you in slightest.
You wanna go out alone? All right. Wanna go to the frog brothers shop? Make sure to piss them off.
Usually sits back and watches as you cause chaos on the boardwalk.
He knows people like you in Santa Carla usually are left alone.
Chuckles at the fact Santa Carla would be fucked If you ever turned.
If he gets tired of you (which usually happens) he’ll leave you with Marko or Paul for the night.
The infamous quote “if you have so much energy, why don’t you go run to the cave and back?”
Getting a lot of smacks to the head
May or May not have left you on the boardwalk a few times because you pissed him off (star was ANGRY)
He found you hanging around with Laddie one night, He tried to get you back to your parents but.. the boys had already fed on them.
Definitely the type of guy to scream at you in German if you get laddie into a Sugar high
He loves you to death though.
Slips melatonin into your candy if your being a bit too wacky on the boardwalk
When he heard David say you were chaotic, He thought he’d be used to it (Hence Marko and Paul) , but oh no.
He’s definitely used to energetic behaviour, But he has snapped at you once or twice.
Has absolutely forbidden you from going anywhere near Marko and Paul whenever your out of hand.
Has definitely persuaded you from lighting the boardwalk up. Multiple times.
He found you hanging around a juke box playing ‘Twisted sister.’
He automatically took you under his patched leather wing.
“YO PAUL, THEY LIKE TWISTED SISTER!”
Loves the fact your his mini me
Causing chaos on the boardwalk every night (Which leads to you two getting kicked off.)
Scaring innocent pedestrians
Giggles like a idiot if you make David snap.
Saying “Sei il mio bambino caotico e ti amo.” While ruffling your hair.
Dancing like idiots during the saxophone man concerts
Found you wandering around the boardwalk. He just liked your shoes 😭
“Stop offering weed to me. Im like, twelve”
Bonding while mocking angry beach n@zis
Randomly ruffling your hair
Smirking as a security guard lectures him about his ‘Sibling.’
- “Umm, this isn’t my sibling, This is my fucking child.”
Acting like maniacs on the boardwalk.
Snatching laddie and running off (While Dwayne screams.)
Giving you energy drinks and watching in fascination as your pupils shake violently. (Paul.. no..)

a part 2 of Absolutely Not! thanks
Absolutely Not! Prt II
Shinobu Kochou x She/Her Demon Reader
A/N: Prt1 Really didn’t know what to do for another part so just a little catnip cop out. Hope you still enjoy it! Word Count: 1,436
Uzui couldn’t believe what buzzkills the other Hashiras were.
“Come on, it’ll be funny! Don’t you wanna see what’ll happen?”
It’s inappropriate, it’s in bad taste, that’s dumb, not worth my time, I’m an unflashy unfun loser blah blah blah. Not even Rengoku would join in, although that should not have been that surprising.
Well, Uzui would have fun on his own then. He wasn’t sure if it would work… but he was down for a little experiment. Kochou couldn’t be mad at him for a little joke if it was for science, right?
He smirked at the small potted plant in his hands. All he had to do was sneak this to the cat demon and watch the chaos unfold. How could no one else be curious if catnip would be effective on a cat demon?
Uzui silently navigated the halls, snooping around for the demon. The demonic presence she had was weak, so it was difficult to pinpoint exactly where she was. But he could feel that he was getting closer. He smiled, got ready to put on the charm, and turned the corner, running right into… Shinobu.
“Uzui-san,” she blinked, mildly surprised, “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, Kochou, hey!” He kind of wanted to avoid her if he could help it, but given that she kind of had a demonic aura about her at the moment, he never stood a chance, “Do you know that you’re giving off a demonic energy? Kinda weird.”
Shinobu sighed, “No, I didn’t know that, but given how many head bumps (Y/n) insists on giving me, I am not surprised. Now why are you here? You look perfectly healthy.”
“What? Can’t a Hashira pay a fellow Hashira a visit?”
“They can, but you never visit me unless you need something. What do you have behind your back?”
“Oh, what? This?” Uzui presented the plant as if it was the most unassuming thing in the world, “My wives picked it out. Just a little thank you for when you took care of Hinatsuru when she was sick. I told ‘em I thought it was kinda unflashy but they thought the little purple flowers were cute so, here you go! Put it somewhere everyone can enjoy, yeah?” He put the pot into Shinobu’s hands.
“Uzui-san,” Shinobu twirled the potted plant in her hands, “do you think I’m an idiot?”
“Huh?”
“I know what you’re doing. This is nepetalactone, catnip.“ Shinobu was still all smiles, but an unmistakable shadow seemed to fall over her eyes. “Just what were you hoping to accomplish here?”
“H-hey— I didn’t know!” Uzui waved in hands defensively, “Like I said, my wives—“
“Your wives had already gifted me a lovely fruit basket a few days ago.”
“Well would you look at the time! I better go home, nice talking with you, Kochou!” And in a puff of smoke he was gone, leaving Shinobu alone with the catnip.
“He is much too old to be acting like such a child.” Shinobu shook her head in disbelief.
She looked back down at the plant and sighed. Now what was she going to do with this? Tea might be good, but she really didn’t want to risk exposing (Y/n) to the catnip in any form… no matter how curious she was about how she would react.
“To the woods with you then.” She decided, making her way through the mansion to the nearest door to the outside. As long as she didn’t run into (Y/n) along the way, all would be fi—
“Get out of Shinobu-sama’s house!” (Y/n) hissed as she skidded around the corner.
“Ah!” Shinobu hopped from one foot to the other as a chipmunk scurried between her legs and zoomed down the hall.
Having not seen Shinobu, (Y/n) ran into her before she could stop herself and they both fell to the ground. The pot upturned in the fall, covering them both in plant debris and soil.
“Oh no, Shinobu-sama, are you okay? I’m sorry! Someone left a door open somewhere and a chipmunk got in, but don’t worry I’ll… I’ll… oh, what is this?” She asked almost sluggishly rolling a leaf between her fingers. Shinobu snatched her wrist to make her stop.
“(Y/n), we must wash this off immediately, do you understand? Oof!”
(Y/n) face planted into Shinobu’s chest and the loudest purr Shinobu had ever heard from the demon began to rumble through her.
“(Y/n), are you okay? We should really get up.”
Slowly, (Y/n) rose her head and all Shinobu could see was a black abyss, her irises had been completely swallowed up by her pupils, something Shinobu had never seen to this severity. Sometimes when (Y/n) saw a bird through the window or she got the zoomies, her pupils would round out, but never to this extent.
“(Y/n)?” Shinobu tested again.
(Y/n) didn’t answer her, but her purring did get louder. She flopped back down and began rolling around nuzzling Shinobu every other roll across her body, further smushing the catnip as well.
Shinobu wanted to be serious, they were in the middle of the hall and covered in dirt, but she couldn’t help but chuckle as the cuddle attack persisted, (Y/n) leapt on top of her and attached to her back when she tried to get up.
Suddenly (Y/n) stiffened, alerting Shinobu to look ahead down the hall. The chipmunk was back.
“Kekekekeke!” (Y/n) clicked, bracing herself against Shinobu’s back in a hunting stance.
“Don’t you dare use me as a starting block. If you are going to act more cat than demon, then you had better shift before you cause any real damage.” Shinobu warned.
But (Y/n) wasn’t in a very rational state of mind to heed that warning. She sprung off of Shinobu’s back and chased after the chipmunk on all fours, slipping and tumbling multiple times because of the restrictiveness of her kimono.
“Oh no,” Shinobu got to her feet as well, mentally apologizing to whoever would have to clean the mess on her behalf, “(Y/n), come back! You better not eat it!”
With how hepped up she was in catnip, Shinobu was worried she’d hurt herself or someone else on accident so she couldn’t leave her alone. She ran after (Y/n) and it was thankfully not to hard to catch up to her. With her terrible coordination at the moment, she kept banging into walls and slipping on the floor. Shinobu tackled her and pinned her to the ground, trying to block the fleeing chipmunk from (Y/n)’s view. She really hoped someone else would take care of the little pest.
(Y/n) struggled and wiggled against Shinobu for a moment, but another hit of that sweet, sweet catnip had her docile as a lamb again before long and the purring started up again.
“There we go… just relax.” Shinobu lightly scratched behind (Y/n)’s ears, a known favorite spot, she smiled when (Y/n) snuggled into her hand and closed her eyes.
Then the cat demon began to shrink, but having seen the process on multiple occasions, Shinobu didn’t flinch. With an amused breath, she untangled the cat from the bundle of clothes and neatly folded said clothes before setting the cat on top of the pile and taking the whole thing in her arms.
“Let’s get you to bed so you’ll have a safe place to rest while this wears off.”
Shinobu placed (Y/n) on the bed and then got to work, placing all the contaminated clothes into the wash and putting on something fresh. She laid out a new kimono for (Y/n) as well to wear once she awoke. Then she took a moment to watch her sleep, all curled up in a ball.
Part of Shinobu really wanted to go to Uzui’s house and put laxatives in his afternoon tea, but in the other hand, a dusting of blush highlighted Shinobu’s cheeks, the over-excited cuddling had been rather sweet, pleasant even. Maybe it wouldn’t be too bad to grow a little catnip in the herb garden from now on. In smaller doses she could probably get the cuddly ratio she would like best.
Of course (Y/n) was rather cuddly normally, but Shinobu had felt a little jealous since Mitsuri came to visit a few days ago. Mitsuri was a cat whisperer and that extended to cat demons as well apparently. Shinobu would have liked more reassurance that (Y/n) liked her more, but of course she was too stubborn to tell the demon as much. The next time Mitsuri came to visit, Shinobu would have a secret weapon up her sleeve to keep the cuddles to herself.

you should definitely rant to me about your iteration if you can.. I would absolutely love to learn abt it to possibly draw our iteration turts interacting.. /nf
I LITERALLY SURPRESS A SCREECH OKAY OKAY OKAY OAKY HHHHH SO
TMNT: Found Family is a teetle iteration based off of my friends!! I only have the turtles drawn out (and April planned in my head) but!!! I do have some of the basics:
Donnie (He/Her): He's based off of Tomi!! She's 14, the youngest of the four bros. Typically quiet around people (unless she freaks the fuck out) but he yaps A LOT when she's either alone or with her siblings. A lot of people mistake him as a very meek and mild individual, but in reality he's a violent BEAST filled with rage. The #1 hater ever. But overall she's very silly and critter-like...
Leo (He/him): The second youngest, based off of me! I would've made myself Donnie but. Then I'd just be drawing my sona SO... yeah... I decided to go with Leo because the person I relate to the most (after MM Don, ofc) is Rise Leo. For. Various reasons. But yeah. He's a 16 year old shithead who looooves playing pranks and being a smartass. He's academically smart but SUPER dense (a lot of shit goes over his head..), but also somehow extremely cunning and witty. Despite being a ball of unhinged chaos, he still ends up caring for his siblings like a dad because he's also an Anxious Idiot. Oh also he has a severe case of RBF syndrome
Mikey (He/him): I based him off of Val, he's 17 years old and the second oldest. Gay as fuck, I haven't shown his design yet but he's. Literally a walking rainbow (and I mean LITERALLY... wait until you see his scale patterning). Like Leo, he's a little shithead who teams up with the blue boy to prank everyone within a five mile radius. He's also somehow even more insufferable than Leo. It's probably because he's gay (DON HOMOPHOBIC REAL!??11/??!?!??!? /j). Despite being a seemingly fiery ball of energy, he gets pretty quiet with strangers. Actually, ALL of them get quiet with strangers. Autism sibs unite or something idk
Raph (She/They): The oldest of them all, being 18 years old!! She's based off of my beloved nee-chan Phantom. The (appointed) leader of the group, she has a major case of the Eldest Daughter syndrome. She's a very caring figure of them all, but despite seeming mature and calm, she's just as chaotic as the rest of them. She won't hesitate to condone murder (for the right reasons, of course) and doesn't really reprimand any of her brothers for their shenanigans. If anything, she laughs and cheers them on. I mean, as long as no one's getting hurt, it's all good, right??
April (She/Her): April is also 14, standing next to Donnie age-wise. She's based off of Cin.. I haven't developed her as much since I don't have her design down yet, but as far as I've thought, she's a very mischievous creature.. think of Anya's smug little "heh" face. That's basically her entire personality /hj. Despite being a little bitch (/lhaff) she's very sweet and won't hesitate to comfort her friends and family. Best little sister ever <- not biased at all
As for the storyline.... uh... haha um I. Haven't really thought that far?? Ik for a fact Splinter (who I haven't developed in the slightest) finds all four of the turtles individually as time goes on, with Raph being the first, then Donnie, then Mikey, and then finally Leo. That's why my iteration is titled "found family", because they all literally found each other (unintentionally, but still).

those summer nights ⋆·˚ ༘ * kuroo tetsurou
kuroo tetsurou x f!reader
content warning: overall emotional chaos, health issues, chapter is kinda long-ish
ch. three - "beelines." ↓
third of july, 1991.
a blur. that’s the word kuroo could use to describe his day so far. he doesn’t remember when he got up- maybe around 5am. from what the man deduced, he overall got about two hours of sleep. which wasn’t a tragedy of course, but it kind of crushed his hopes for a quick progress.
his brain was too occupied with keeping him barely alive, so he wasn’t thinking much about anything. it was humid. his feet hurt. a scent of lime tree filled his nostrils. the food in front of him suddenly appeared unappetizing.
y/n didn’t visit them today and kuroo failed to spot her bustling around her garden, which she seemed to do often. because of the high fence, he could always only see the top of her head, but that much was enough to grab his attention. grandma said something about her being busy today, or whatever.
it wasn’t like he yearned for the woman’s company, no. he simply enjoyed the presence of someone his age, deciding it was better than sitting alone or observing his grandmother chattering with her elderly friends.
suddenly a sharp, irritating sound pierced the silence, making kuroo jerk up. the phone was ringing. he pulled himself upwards, hurrying to pick it up. not because he desperately wished to talk, but rather in order to stop the maddening noise.
"hello?" he began, his fingers involuntarily starting to play with the cord, curling it around them, "who’s calling?"
"kuroo, is that you?" an elated voice boomed from the receiver, "how are you doing, my son? have you been sleeping well?"
the man immediately recognized it was his father talking. he wished he didn’t have to pretend everything was okay, when it obviously wasn’t, but settled it would be better to just lie. it will probably prevent him from being bombarded with idiotic questions. "why are you still sleepless?", for example. how should he know?
"life here is perfect, dad. i’m sleeping much sounder now," he began, twirling the cord between his joints, "i could stay here forever, you know." kuroo hummed, straining his tone to sound 'energized'.
"oh, really? your mother is already talking about you coming back, and—", the older one paused, searching for better words "…she, uh, supports your trip here. but she misses you too."
whatever that meant.
"tell her i miss her too." the black-haired man coated his words in honey. truth was he didn’t miss his parents at all, feeling much better mentally without having to endure their bullshit everyday.
kuroo and his father talked for a while longer before he had to hang up. the man put back the phone in its place, his shoulders slouching. he stood there aimlessly, facing the wall. it felt as if he wasted all of his remaining energy on conversing.
a short noise of opening door pulled him out of his momentary emotional distress. his head turned, immediately spotting his grandmother who just came back from her quick trip to the store. the man strained the corners of his lips upwards.
"how are you kuroo?" she inquired, reciprocating his smile, "you look worried." her tone seemed cheerful enough, probably indicating the shopping was successful.
he hurried to her side, taking both bags from her hands. "my father just called. we talked a bit." kuroo explained, carrying groceries to the kitchen. he began to unpack everything, putting the food in its destined places.
"did he now?" the older woman chimed, sitting by the table with a muffled grunt, "you don’t seem too thrilled by it."
well, she was right, as always. the black-haired man sighed deeply, mulling over the best word choice. he didn’t want to make his grandmother any more concerned than she should be, but the situation at hand was tricky.
"i mean," kuroo started, sitting down with her, "i am happy he called. it’s just…" he stammered, feeling the world spin a bit. the track of his thoughts got foggy, rendering him unresponsive. his tired eyes fixated on the wooden surface of the table.
suddenly, a gentle touch on his hand snapped him out of his temporary slump. he looked up, his gaze locking with his grandma’s. she always held such a warm expression on her face, it never failed to melt his heart.
"i see you’re down, kuroo," her voice rang clear in his head, uninterrupted by the constant noise his brain seemed to be producing, "whenever i need to get rid of sad thoughts, i go for a walk. why don’t you try it?"
that didn’t seem like a bad idea at all. he nodded, slowly getting up. maybe some fresh air will help him. anyway, he’s been here already for three days and still somehow didn’t step a foot outside.
"i’ll do just that. thank you, grandma."
kuroo expected the weather to be hot, but honestly this was beyond reasonable. when he was at home, the fan was always here to cool him down, but right now he’d have to fend for himself.
the sun was absolutely merciless. it beat down onto his back and head, making the world spin even harder. an unpleasant pang of dizziness washed over him, but the man ignored the feeling.
he heaved, taking small steps forward. the general layout of the streets didn’t change much from what he remembered during his childhood days, but it still seemed different. perhaps his memories were simply failing him.
in addition, it was quiet all around. occasional sounds of people could be heard, but overall tranquility dominated the whole village. bird’s chirping and the buzz of insects in the grass soothed his tortured mind. if only the sun wasn’t too overbearing, it could have been actually nice.
he moved on, admiring the mountains that looked as if they were cradling the whole countryside with their rocky arms. he spotted various locations, such as the post office, along with shops, taking mental notes of where everything was.
kuroo finally entered the more secluded area, covered mostly with trees and meadows. atop one of the hills stood a painter’s easel. it seemed to be abandoned for whatever reason, the canvas barely touched with some green paint. the view was thought-provoking, but he ultimately shook his head, leaving the thing behind.
shade provided by leafy crowns was an agreeable change, and it almost made him feel relaxed. it was still too hot for his liking, though. he carried on with his walk before suddenly spotting a familiar silhouette in the distance.
it was y/n. the girl was taking wide steps, quickly approaching him. that made kuroo slightly nervous. was she mad? before he could jump into any more conclusions, he realized that her expression was the one of distress, and she wasn’t actually looking at him. her eyes trailed over everything, up and down.
when they were close enough, he waved. she seemed to finally notice him, but didn’t really acknowledge his existence. she rushed, walking right past him. she had her postman bag with her, gripping onto it with both her hands. that made kuroo stop in his tracks, looking back at the woman.
"are you just gonna ignore me?" he yelled after her, making y/n stop as well. he didn’t know why he was so offended by the girl acting as if he was invisible, but it kind of irked him. she turned in his direction, a pinched expression on her face.
"i’m in a hurry right now. can’t talk." she called back, "sorry."
that was the last thing she said before continuing her (rather frantic) stroll. kuroo observed her for a while longer. her hair was visibly disheveled, along with her jeans being stained with grass and dirt. he let out a heavy sigh, pondering over the reasons as to why she was in such a rush. yes, the woman was usually full of energy, however this time it didn’t seem to be the case. something was obviously up.
a part of him wanted to help her, but then again, who was he to butt into her business? everybody had things they needed to tend to, and maybe sometimes it’s be better to stay out of them. in addition, knowing y/n, his offer would probably be turned down anyway.
kuroo clicked his tongue with crossed arms, as his eyes narrowed at y/n, her frame slowly beginning to disappear in the distance.
what a complicated thing that girl was.
fourth of july, 1:16 am.
much to the black-haired man’s surprise, sleep came without any protest tonight. it was… almost alien, in a way. when was the last time he fell asleep so quickly? was it the work of his earlier stroll, or perhaps the quality time he spent with his grandmother, watering her plants and talking together on the patio?
he wouldn’t know, but if a part of him was conscious right now, it probably was jumping up with joy. it was a big accomplishment to him. his organism finally shut down at around 10pm, so right now he had over three hours of sleep on his account, with no signs of waking up anytime soon.
kuroo’s body leisurely turned to the other side, basking in the desired rest. unfortunately for him, the god’s gracious gaze slipped away from the man, probably focusing on somebody else. it could only mean one thing.
a rapid, loud knocking brutally pulled him out of his serene state. his eyes snapped wide open. kuroo looked around, absolutely confused. his heart was thumping so hard, he felt as if the organ actually wanted to break free through his throat.
the sounds had yet to stop, meaning he didn’t dream it. he scanned his room once again, finally realizing the knocks were coming from his balcony door. he couldn’t exactly see who was causing all the noise, but the answer was rather obvious.
he had to physically stop himself from grimacing as he approached his curtains, swishing them apart. just how insane do you have to be to start pounding on someone’s balcony door in the middle of the night? it was crazy, and stupid, and ridiculous, and—
his buzzing thoughts were instantly interrupted by what he saw. if anybody took a photography, the view in front of their eyes would be close to a scene pulled straight out of a telenovela. y/n stood there, pressing her palms onto the glass, her whole face twisting in distress. moonlight hugged her frame, emphasizing the dampness in her eyes.
kuroo froze for a second before quickly opening the door. the girl practically stumbled into his arms, instantly gripping onto his shoulders. millions of thoughts spun inside the man’s head, as his expression turned equally unnerved. did a robber break into her house? was she attacked? someone died?
his lips parted, ready to start throwing questions at y/n, but she was faster. the woman’s fingers dug into his muscles, making him want to wince at the unpleasant sensation. he was way too distracted to voice his discomfort though, deeming it irrelevant to the whole situation.
”kuroo! you need to help me, please, my cat, i—" she heaved, starting to hyperventilate, "i don’t know what to do! she, uh—"
kuroo felt utterly lost. what? what was the girl even talking about? it was either his still foggy mind, or she just sputtered nonsense. however, she said something about a 'cat', so at least he was assured that everyone was alive and well.
seeing y/n was obviously freaking out, he placed his hands atop her shoulders, leading her to sit on his bed. waterfall of tears streamed down her cheeks, making the always lively woman seem awfully miserable. it contradicted with her fierceness, rendering kuroo blank-minded as he had no idea what to do. seeing her in such vulnerable state was… well, unnatural to say the least.
he kneeled in front of her, his amber irises locking with hers. she sniffled, wiping her face with the palm of her hand. her eyebrows furrowed as she looked to the side, noticeably avoiding any eye contact.
"i look stupid now, don’t i…?" she mouthed, her breaths still ragged.
kuroo had no reason to help her. during the past few days, she has shown him parts of her kind self, yes. but most of the time, those short moments were blinded by the amount of effort she put into annoying and being generally rude to him. plus, she practically barged into his house when he was in the middle of the best sleep he’s had in the longest time.
and yet, he smiled at her, shaking his head.
"no, of course you don’t." he muttered, his tone assuring, "but you need to calm down, y/n. honestly i didn’t understand anything you were saying earlier." he chuckled weakly, trying to light up the grim atmosphere just a little bit.
the woman took a deep breath, feeling at her chest. her heart rate was out of the roof, but somehow kuroo’s words made her a little more grounded.
"my cat ran away this morning…", her lips trembled as she started, "i— i know this is weird. i know. but i just love her so much. she’s all i have in this place—”
the girl suddenly choked on her words, fits of coughs shaking her whole body. the black-haired man immediately stood up, swiftly reaching for the water bottle he had put sometime earlier on his bedside table. he handed it to y/n, and she thanked him with a short nod before taking a few sips.
kuroo observed her drink. he slowly realized that when she rushed past him yesterday, she wasn’t trying to be arrogant and ignore him. y/n was simply searching for her lost pet. the woman must have held so much love towards the animal if she was able to look for it to this hour without giving up.
"ugh, sorry," she sniffled, putting the bottle away, "anyway… i’ve been searching for her but to no avail. at some point i just panicked and- and thought about you."
his eyebrows lifted up. "why me though? don’t you have anyone else to help you?" he inquired, biting his tongue as the words left his mouth. shit. he didn’t have to be so mean about it.
hearing that, y/n’s teary eyes snapped in his direction. a hurt look etched itself onto her expression, as she rapidly got up from her sitting place.
"you don’t need to help me,” she hissed, starting to walk in the balcony’s direction, "you can go back to sleep if you want. i don’t care."
kuroo cursed under his breath, quickly managing to catch her wrist. "hey, did i say i won’t help you?", he asked, angry at himself because of his own idiocy, "it’s just… you surely have friends here that are more capable than me, right?" a nervous smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
y/n kept silent. she turned her body back in kuroo’s direction, slowly shaking her head 'no'. he studied her for a prolonged second, before realizing that he was still holding onto her wrist. he let go, clearing his throat and taking a step backwards.
thinking of it, it made sense. the woman rarely hanged out with anybody other than his grandmother (and him). she was on excellent terms with every single elderly around, but seemed to lack in friends her age. no sane person would break into some 60-year old-grandpa’s room in the middle of the night, asking for help.
"i’m sorry, y/n," he apologized, confidence blooming within his voice, "let’s go look for your cat now." that made the girl perk up from her solemn state. her depressed expression immediately melted into happiness, as she jumped up towards him.
"will you really do that for me?" a wide grin spread across her face, lightening up the dark mood, "oh, thank you so much, kuroo!"
the man chuckled, "yeah, yeah, no problem. but lets use the door this time, okay?" he offered in a teasing tone, reaching towards his wardrobe. he dug out a hoodie, tossing it in y/n’s direction.
she caught the clothing piece, examining it for a second. huh, he wasn’t half bad. smiling to herself, the girl pulled it over her head, murmuring a simple "as you wish", before both of them left the house as quietly as possible.
a beat of silence passed between them. they walked along the street, moon being their only source of light. they should have prepared better, taking torches and putting on longer pants in order to protect their legs from scratches. alas, kuroo along with y/n were too focused on their mission to think of such details.
"so, uh… how does your cat look like?" he muttered, looking around in hopes of spotting bright feline eyes.
"she’s orange. her name is bee." the girl answered, the corners of her lips involuntarily curling up, "when i found her, she was stung by some insect. her whole muzzle got swollen.” y/n explained, a tinge of sadness laced through her voice.
kuroo snickered at that revelation, his gaze momentarily stopping on the big, glowy planet that hung above them. "so, do you wanna split up? or look for her together?"
"i’m not sure… you probably still don’t know your way around. let’s not split up, or you’ll get lost too." a weak giggle slipped from her mouth, and kuroo thought that joy fits her so much better than sadness.
they both decided on searching through the streets before departing further away into the forested areas. to their dismay, even though about two hours passed, the cat still remained missing. kuroo decided to take a short break, leaning on some pole as he observed y/n still running around and calling out for bee.
the woman was getting more frantic by the second, and honestly, he had to admit her nerves rubbed off on him too. he cracked his knuckles, thinking of where the cat could possibly be. if they don’t find her soon, the chances of her being safe will only drop.
even a few drunkards (who may failed to find their way home) asked them what they were searching so feverishly for. before kuroo could explain, y/n barked that it was none of their business. the men seemed to get slightly offended, forcing the two to quickly escort themselves somewhere else.
when they finally stopped running away from the drunken delinquents, y/n hunched over, supporting her body weight on her knees. a few coughs ripped from her lungs, making the man worry. he stepped closer to her, examining the girl’s slumped form, but still giving her enough space.
"hey, uh… you okay?" he questioned, knitting his eyebrows together. she looked up at him, nodding without much conviction on her face.
"m-maybe we should try looking in the forest?" y/n stammered out, trying not to wince at the pain squeezing her lungs, "though it will be hard without any light…"
that much was true. on the streets, everything was pretty much clear without any obstruction. situation shifts noticeably when there’s a multitude of leafy crowns hovering over your heads, effectively dulling the moonlight. still, kuroo didn’t feel like giving up.
whatever drove him, it was strong. perhaps he just missed being useful?
"let’s not waste time on too much thinking," he stated with full confidence, thinking it may lift up the woman’s spirits, "c’mon. we’re gonna find her."
y/n straightened up, a determined expression returning to her worn face. if kuroo was good at one thing, it surely was comforting people, and motivating them to push on. what if he was some kind of a leader in the past? a team sport suited him well enough. she’d have to ask later.
they started to quickly render the distance between them and the forest. the man didn’t feel exactly comfortable with being in total darkness, but y/n did not mind. she stayed on high alert, looking all around, even if it was hard to spot anything. the approaching sunrise managed to keep her hopes up.
and so, their lookout in the forest began.
the two struggled noticeably to push on through the thick bushes and tall grass. branches regularly slapped kuroo in the face, evoking painful grunts from the man. it was one of those rare moments when he cursed his genes for making him so tall.
whereas y/n wrestled closer to the ground, her ankles getting caught up in some weeds and rocks all the time. as they climbed atop one of the higher hills, she suddenly let out a yelp, losing her already unstable balance for two terrifying seconds. kuroo immediately turned around to see what was up, barely making out the shape of her silhouette from all-dominating darkness.
"grab my hand, or else you’ll fall." he offered, stretching out his arm towards y/n. she felt around the empty space, finally managing to get a hold on the man’s palm. she did so reluctantly, but deemed it was better than accidentally tumbling down, and being escorted to the hospital with multiple fractured limbs. now that would have been embarrassing.
they pushed on. the pair spotted a few small animals, but none of them were bee. another hour passed, and it was already around 4am. first rays of light started to force their way through the trees, making it a little easier to see. it didn’t help with y/n’s distraught state, though.
somehow they managed to cut their way short, arriving on a sandy coast. a spacious lake laid bare before them, mountains embracing the body of water. sun was slowly peeking out from behind their rocky peaks, painting a terrific landscape. for some reason, kuroo couldn’t bring himself to appreciate it.
his eyes locked on y/n. the girl was panting, sweat rolling down her temples. the man used to be sporty, still was, so walking for such a long distance wasn’t the biggest problem he could face. of course it took a toll on him, but contrary to y/n’s case, it wasn’t fatal.
the woman gasped, huffing heavily. she felt her legs shaking, knees threatening to buckle any second. she just plopped down on the ground, her head falling. the vision of bee being somewhere out here, scared and potentially injured shattered her heart into million pieces.
"i… i don’t know if i can continue anymore," she heaved, gripping her disheveled hair, "i’m too exhausted to walk. i’ve been constantly on move since 9 am—"
another wave of coughs shook the girl’s body. kuroo winced. it was always such an ugly sight. he internally thanked his immune system for being so strong, keeping all kinds of sickness away from him.
"stay here and i’ll look around, okay?" he mustered up a reassuring smile, even though his own mind was close to crashing. if only he knew searching for lost animals was so… rough. "i have a good feeling she’s near."
"no, i’ll go with you—!" y/n quickly pulled herself up, but the fast movement made her dizzy. she grunted, holding onto a tree trunk in order to prevent herself from falling face-straight onto the ground. the lack of rest and food was messing with her whole organism.
"see? you’re too tired." the man sent her a concerned glance, "i’ll be back soon."
y/n opened her mouth in order to protest further, however kuroo ignored her, starting to search through the tall grass. she was stubborn alright. if only he let her, he’s sure the woman could even crawl. fortunately, he deemed himself as a good person and didn’t want her to do such unreasonable things.
suddenly, a prolonged meow snapped him out of his reveries. he stopped in his tracks, looking around. another muffled sound lead him to a particularly dense clump of weeds. he pushed the tall bushes aside, spotting a small, orange cat curled into a ball. it lied there, shivering. it seemed as if it’s right paw was bleeding some time ago, but stopped.
he instinctively reached towards the animal, but it hissed at him. the man retracted his hand, straightening up. "is that you, bee…?" he whispered to the terrified pet. it’s ears seemed to slightly perk up at the sound of its possible name.
"y/n, you might wanna come see this!" kuroo called out to the girl, still keeping his eyes glued on the cat.
hearing his voice, she immediately regained all of her lost energy, pulling herself up. she kicked at the sand, sprinting towards him. the woman almost bumped into his back, fortunately managing to stop before the painful collision.
the moment her eyes locked on the cat, it looked as if the whole galaxy blessed her irises with a multitude of stars. she physically had to stop herself from screaming in happiness in order not to scare her cat away.
"bee, my beloved girl!" she breathed in relief, picking up the animal from the ground. she cradled her close to her chest, careful not to irritate her injured paw.
kuroo observed the reunited duo from the sidelines, realizing that now they will have to come back. shivers ran down his spine as he could only imagine the harsh route home, starting to feel tired from the mere thought of it.
well, what you wouldn’t do for a girl and her pet?
two hours. it took them two hours to venture back home. the roles switched- now the man was complaining from his exhaustion, and y/n simply nodded along, too occupied with her furry pet.
the time of the clock probably showed 6am. distant sounds of the train rushing by could be heard as they finally stood in front of their houses. truth be told, kuroo never expected his trip to the countryside would end up like that.
the vision of sneaking out and searching for something through streets and wilderness was straight out of a movie. yet, here they were, all dirty from the mud and littered with small cuts. yes, they tripped multiple times in the forest, even though they were holding onto each others hands.
"so… we’re finally back!" y/n cheered, adjusting her hold on bee.
"yeah, finally," kuroo repeated after her, "i can’t believe you really dragged me out in the middle of the night to do this." he sent her a teasing glance, his shoulders slouching.
the woman smiled kindly, forgetting about their bickering and the whole "rivals” charade for good.
"you have no idea how thankful i am," she muttered, her gaze locking on her shoes, as their color suddenly became very interesting, "really. i don’t know how i’ll ever pay you back…"
that’s true. she was genuinely puzzled as to why kuroo decided to help her. he wouldn’t get anything out of searching with her for the whole night. maybe except a few bruises and scratches, and a languished body, but that’s all.
"nah, it’s nothing. honestly i had fun, you know," he snickered weakly under his breath, "so don’t worry."
his tired eyes fixated on y/n. the golden hue coming from the sky bounced off of her skin, lightening up her whole face. kuroo hated to admit it, but with her wide smile, she really looked like the sun right now.
silence fell between the two. the girl was opening and closing her mouth, as if she wanted to say more. she had that specific look on her face, yearning to do something, say anything. yet, she finally let out a resigned sigh, deciding against whatever she wanted to voice out loud.
"so uhh… i’ll see you later?" she offered, taking a step towards her house, showing it is the high time they depart.
"yeah. see you.” the man answered briefly, waving her goodbye.
absolutely exhausted, he managed to drag his feet into his bedroom, shaking off his dirtied pants before falling onto the bed without a care in the world.
he slept for next three hours.

Raise the Bar (Haikyuu!!)
Primary Universe
Summary: Bokuto catches Kageyama doing pull-ups and decides to have a little fun with him. Ft. Akaashi.
A/N: An anon had requested this for my 3k raffle event last year that ended up getting cancelled, but I did write it anyway, so here it is. This is for you, anon, whoever you were. Enjoy!
Word Count: 1,524
~~~
“Look at this guy, trying to show off how strong he is!”
Kageyama dropped to the floor, startled, and turned to see Bokuto and Akaashi from Fukurodani approaching him. He was surprised it wasn’t Hinata – that little tangerine idiot seemed to find him everywhere – but he wasn’t complaining, either.
“I’m not trying to show off,” he replied, turning to face them both fully, one hand still on the pull-up bar he’d been using in the doorway to the gym.
He was one of many, many volleyball players throughout the prefecture who had been invited to a giant, all-inclusive party/sleepover to celebrate the end of the season and upcoming third-years’ graduations. Said sleepover was being hosted by Fukurodani, so theirs was the gym they’d be using to eventually crash in later. Right now Kageyama just wanted to burn off some excess energy. He thought he’d slipped away without notice, but no such luck.
Bokuto nodded at the pull-up bar. “How many can you do?”
“Uh, I don’t know. Twenty? Thirty?” Kageyama honestly didn’t know.
“You’ve never counted?”
“We don’t really do pull-ups at Karasuno.”
Akaashi stood off to the side with his hands in his pockets, watching the interaction with his usual detached interest. “Neither do we. He’s just being a dork.”
“I am not!” Bokuto whined, then flashed a grin at his former rival. “Well, don’t let us stop you. Continue showing off for us, Tobio!”
Kageyama blinked. He was called by his first name so rarely it threw him a little, but more than that, he wasn’t sure he wanted to get back to it now that he had an audience.
“I was, uh…just wrapping up,” he said, finally letting his other hand drop.
“Liar. You just can’t handle the pressure of being watched, can you?”
“I can!” the setter retorted, gripping the pull-up bar once again, falling easily and swiftly into the obvious trap Bokuto had set for him.
The ace snickered to Akaashi. “First-years, am I right?”
“Don’t be a jerk,” Akaashi muttered back, smacking him.
“Oww! I’m not; I just want to have a little fun. This is a sleepover, you know. These things were made for chaos to reign.”
Kageyama was four or five pull-ups in when he suddenly felt fingers grasping his waist, digging into his hips, making him sputter out a laugh and nearly tumble all the way to the floor. As it was, it took substantial effort for his legs not to give out on him when he landed back on his feet and whirled around again, blushing furiously. “W-What was that for?!”
“Just seeing if you could handle the pressure, big guy,” Bokuto teased, wiggling his fingers at him playfully.
Kageyama both loved and hated how much the sight of wiggling fingers made his insides do backflips and somersaults in all kinds of excited ways. He shivered, but in the back of his mind he was panicking a little. Did Hinata say something? No, surely not. He was crazy, but he wouldn’t go around announcing something like this to the world without permission. This had to just be a random attack on Bokuto’s part.
“What’s the matter? Flustered, Tobio?” the ace teased again, lunging forward suddenly like he was going to attack only to come up short. It didn’t stop Kageyama from letting out a shriek and stumbling back a few steps, already covering his stomach and giggling a little. Bo’s grin was predatory. “Oho~ Gotcha to show your hand, didn’t I? Now I know where you’re really ticklish!”
Kageyama knew his face had to be scarlet by now. “L-Leave me alone.”
His words came out sounding half-hearted at best, and Bokuto picked up on that instantly. He laughed. “What, not gonna try to prove me wrong? Get back to your pull-ups, Tobio. I’ll bet you a taco from that place down the street you’ll let go of the bar if I start tickling you again.”
“I…I don’t—”
“Two tacos!”
Kageyama hesitated. He didn’t care about any special tacos, but if he was honest, he was kind of curious to see how long he could last now that Bokuto was challenging him directly. Plus, seeing those fingers had put him into an immediate lee mood, so…
“I can hold on,” he managed at last, mustering up his best defiant smirk. “Watch me.”
Bokuto motioned for him to just get on with it already, grinning, clearly just as eager to get started.
The Karasuno setter gripped the pull-up bar, suddenly feeling very exposed under Bokuto’s intense stare. Still, he started to lift himself up, and that’s when the ace attacked.
“Pfff – nohohohohoho!” Kageyama squealed, dropping back onto the ground and using one hand to push him away, the other still holding onto the bar – barely. “No fahahahahair!”
“You let go, Tobio~” Bokuto teased, scribbling his fingers across his friend’s belly. “Too ticklish to take it, huh?”
“It’s ohohonly one hahahand!” Kageyama protested.
“Ha! All right, I’ll let this one slide since I didn’t specify. But get that hand back up there and don’t move either of them, or you’ll be buying me tacos!”
Shakily, Kageyama did as he was told, heart racing with excited anticipation for what was to come next. As soon as his fist closed around the bar, Bokuto went back to tickling his belly, and the setter went back to cackling at the contact.
“Heh, got a ticklish tummy, hmm?” the ace cooed. He glanced over his shoulder at Akaashi. “Yo, you’re missing out on the fun! Get in here and help me, dude!”
Akaashi had been observing their exchange up to this point, noticing how Kageyama hadn’t backed away or flinched at all at the mention of tickling – something that would spur everyone else he knew to run away or fight back or literally anything else besides just let it happen. He’d concluded that the setter must enjoy it to some extent, and as long as that was the case, he was willing to join when the invitation was extended to him.
Soon Kageyama had tickling fingers scribbling and scratching across his belly and his ribs and up into his underarms, and it was getting increasingly more difficult to hang onto the bar instead of fight back. It reminded him in a way of being in Hinata’s “tickle zone,” though with slightly different stakes attached.
“I’ll admit, I’m impressed, Tobio,” Bokuto chuckled, watching his friend’s face contort with happiness, his cheeks flushed and hair mussed and overall looking like he was having a great time. “Didn’t think you’d last a minute, let alone two. You must like this, huh?”
“He must,” Akaashi confirmed before Kageyama could defend himself. “Otherwise he’d have bolted the moment you wiggled your fingers at him. Right?”
Kageyama could do nothing but nod through his laughter, his arms shaking from the effort to keep them above his head.
“Cute.” Bokuto smiled, stepped back for a moment, and cracked his knuckles. “But I gotta find a way to break you somehow.”
“Aiehehehehehehe! Wahahahahahait!” Kageyama pleaded for the first time when the ace targeted his thighs next, getting dangerously close to a spot that would bring him down quite literally whether he had the willpower to take it or not. “P-Plehehehehease, I gihihihive up! You wihihihihin!”
Bokuto laughed. “Oh yeah? Then why are you still holding onto that bar?”
Kageyama didn’t have a chance to reply, because that was the moment fingers dug into the backsides of his knees and his legs gave out on their own accord.
Once he was on the floor, Bokuto and Akaashi both pounced on him, both grinning, both tickling wildly now that the competition portion of their attack was behind them. Kageyama squealed and threw his head back with laughter, squirming and batting weakly at their arms.
“Okay, okahahahahahay!” he begged after another minute of playful torture. “I gihihihihive! Plehehehehease, stohohohohohop! No more!”
At Akaashi’s urging, the two of them let up as requested, letting the Karasuno setter catch his breath and giggle out a few leftovers, hugging his torso as he sat upright.
Bokuto poked his chest teasingly. “Feeling good, Tobio?”
Kageyama blushed but nodded all the same. “Y-Yeah. Thanks for…well…” he waved at the pull-up bar, indicating the bet that had started them down this path of random, spontaneous fun. “You know.”
“For the tickling?” Akaashi piped up, scoffing good-naturedly. “You’re welcome.”
“Well, I think it’s safe to say that bet was a draw,” Bokuto said, stretching as he got to his feet, “so why don’t we just go Dutch on those tacos tomorrow for lunch?”
Kageyama took their offered hands and stood back up as well. “Heh…sure. Just don’t tell Hinata.”
“Why not bring him along? It can be the four of us!”
The setter considered. He thought about what would happen if he admitted to his best friend what had just gone down here, and how Hinata might be mock offended that he wasn’t around to see it, and how that might start a whole other round of tickling, and…
He grinned, already eager to go find that boke and tell him everything. “All right. I’ll let him know."
Remember at the beginning of series 7 when James Acaster asked if they were the stupidest panel yet?
No. S7 were chaos, but 5 were across the board terminally stupid. I love all of them and it’s one of my favourite series, but it has to be said, every single one of them could have been the useless one on any other series. The whole series has the energy of six idiot children being left alone outside unsupervised, because even Alex had his moments in this regard. At one point in ep7 during the coconut task, he stomps on a fire extinguisher and then gets surprised that the damn thing explodes.
But aside from Nish, they all kind of just kind of flapped about, bumblefucking their way through and largely relying on everyone else fucking up just as much as their own performance. There are so many zeroes and disqualifications in this series that even by the last episode it really was anyone's game (aside from Nish, who was just there).
The whole panel spent the entire studio record rolling over in peals of laughter, and were probably responsible for the current rule of not reacting to tasks before playback. The amount of telegraphing they did was delightful, Mark and Aisling especially just dying in their seats whenever tasks were announced.
This was the series where Bob Mortimer walked into the room, and his first question upon seeing a strange woman was to ask if the task was to physically assault her. The one where the best plan to get a coconut the farthest from the house was to give it to Alex and put him on a bike (a plan which still failed, because the actual plan was the mail it to fucking Fiji). The one where Mark, Sally, and Aisling all got zero points on their own solo tasks, and where a tie break was decided by asking the audience who should win because neither Bob nor Sally completed the damn thing anyway (and then going against what said audience member decided).
I love series 7 for being chaotic and mental, but James can rest safely knowing that his panel is not the stupidest panel the show has seen. I think that title still, to this day, belongs to series 5, and they may hold onto that title for a while yet. I love all of them but my god there was something wrong with that group.
Cotl Fanfic - Thoughts & Opinions?
So, this is the first post on this new account and it's a question for my Cult of the Lamb fandom pookies. I just recently got the game and I'm obsessed with it and have been thinking about writing a BUNCH of fanfiction.
So I wanted notes and suggestions on some things, and I might even make polls on some of them, starting most importantly with the topic below:
Gender, Pronouns, and Sexuality that are so far, are solely based on vibes and what I've seen the rest of the fandom agreeing on (And canon of course):
- The Lamb's identity will probs change depending on the fic type, but for most of them they will be assigned male at birth, He/They & Pansexual. Simple and sweet because our lamb boi is just tryna SURVIVE out here in a cult of idiots that can't even cook their own food or clean up their own shit. (Is this just me wanting to write more he/they characters in my stories because I'm he/they? Yes. Yes, it is folks.)
- Narinder is transgender male He/Him. I'm making him transgender male because I said so. I want more trans rep guys, leave me alone. & Homosexual because if his whole vibe and personality doesn't scream gay angsty emo cat I don't know what else in this world does.
- Leshy is cisgender He/Him. I can imagine him experimenting with they/them though. I may include something on that... If anyone has any notes on that I'm all ears. Best Bi. His level of chaos just radiates ADHD bisexual with way too much energy and free time.
- Heket is cis-gender She/Her. The only girlie in the family, fates have mercy on her and her patience. A lesbian for sure. I think the whole fandom just sort of agrees on this, right? With like, lots of wives because she is a highkey baddie? At least that's the impression I've been given based on all of her fanart and simps.
- Calamari- Sorry, I mean Kallamar, is cis-gendered He/Him. I was thinking of making him a transgender man too? Idk, I've just been told the cis's need rep too, and it made me gag and now I want to wave my magic writer wand and make all the characters trans and nonbinary. Opinions on that are welcome. Anyway. A pansexual, and I hear he canonically had multiple spouses? Despite looking like he has zero rizz. I mean, damn. Good for him I guess. Go squid boy, go.
In this, he's gonna be single though, because I like the idea of him struggling to find new spouses and Heket laughing at his struggle.
- Shamura is absolutely nonbinary they/them. A friend has told me this is canon, and that people may gun for my fucking throat if I change it. Not that I really want to, it fits. Shamura is lowkey one of my favorites. I just like spiders. I'm also deeply afraid of them and cry if I see them irl. I also think they're bisexual in the exact opposite way as Leshy, in that they are a calm, mildly tired wine aunt of the family, mixed with the senile grandparent that snores loudly then stops and everyone pauses and looks at each other like 'Are... Are they fucking dead?'
Anyway, this is a long post, but I needed to get this out there before I started writing stuff for this fandom. Any opinions are welcome, but no bullying other people's thoughts, and be chill guys.
Fr. I'm like a skittish cat, you'll scare me away, and then no one gets fanfiction.
You're a storm in a teacup and I'm starting to like the chaos.
I feel like I'm the only one who actually write for Elias. xd Wish there were fanfics about him being a main character and not just a side villain to the story.
Without further ado!
Summary: Evelyn is a young-troubled woman who’s just escaped a highly guarded psych ward (twice, but this time causing havoc on her way out)
Now she’s running through the city, hiding from police. A not-so-accidental encounter with a man named Elias Voit will change her life forever. And she’ll change his. His seemingly selfless help is laced with danger, hidden agenda, manipulation, endless tension, and…love? Slow burning inteligent-idiots-in-love trope. But mind you, just because it’s a love story, doesn’t mean it ends well.
General warnings throughout the story: Manipulation, illegal activities, murder(s), Stockholm syndrome, kidnapping, explicit content, language… The whole pack. It’s Criminal minds after all.
In this episode: All work and no play make Elias a dull boy. But boredom and attraction is a dangerous mix.
For the past two days, Evelyn had been growing accustomed to the routine in the cabin. Elias needed her insights occasionally, and she had provided them the best she could. However when she wasn’t consulting with him, she spent most of her time alone in her room, lost in thought. She wasn't soaked in miserable thoughts though. With each passing hour, she began to reassess her situation. Here, she had her belongings, security, food, and a comfortable bed. And compared to the institution and the frantic days on the run, this wasn't so bad.
No, she wasn't truly free, but the deal she had made was temporary, so all she needed to do was to wait till Elias wouldn't need her help anymore, hopefully soon. And even if he decided to change the conditions of the deal, she believed that she could eventually turn the tables in her favor. She had faced worse situations and survived; this was just another challenge.
The only other thing she had to deal with was growing boredom. With nothing else to do, she rummaged through her unpacked belongings like in a treasure chest, until her fingers brushed against something she hadn't noticed before – her old iPad. Music! Her lifeline, her solace, her personal therapist! And a great killer of time.
Bless Elias, for whatever reason, he had taken it from her apartment.
Smiling, she plugged in her headphones and turned on the device picking up a song. Soon music filled hear ears and her wary head with a positive energy she needed so much. She closed her eyes, letting the music transport her to a place where worries and fears faded away. Her body feeling the rhythm, started swaying slowly until her feet led her to the middle of the room.
Meanwhile with less rhythmical tempo, Elias paced the living room, feeling boredom settled over him.
Two days. Two damn days cooped up in that room. He'd expect her defiance to be a constant off-note in the air, a challenge for him, a source of excitement. Instead, silence. She only emerged for meals, quick showers, and when he called her to use her skills. It was almost… disappointing. What was the point of having her here if she acted like she wasn't?
Normally, he'd go out, find some entertainment, another victim to play with. But with Evelyn here, he didn't want to leave her entirely alone. Not yet. Not until he found a way to ensure she wouldn't run.
Stupid. She was nothing like he'd imagine. Where was the spark, the fight in her eyes? Was she planning something? Plotting an escape in her room? Or worse, plotting against him?
He wondered if perhaps he'd made her too comfortable. Maybe she adapted a little bit too quickly. He needed to lure her out, engage her, see what was inside that pretty head of hers. With a sigh, he headed towards her room to see what was she doing.
When he slowly opened the door, he was met with an unexpected sight. Evelyn was slowly dancing to music, her eyes closed, headphones on her head, body swaying to the rhythm... She looked so different, so relaxed and at ease.
He definitely had made her feel too comfortable.
He watched her, a slow grin spread across his face when he thought of something. He approached her quietly, taking advantage of her closed eyes. She didn't see him, didn't hear him. When he was close enough, he poked her shoulder. She jumped slightly, her eyes snapping open in surprise. She glared at him, clearly unamused, as she took her headphones off.
He smirked, trying to act innocent. "Didn't mean to startle you."
She narrowed her eyes at him, not fooled. "Sure you didn't." she replied.
He looked at her for a moment before he reached for her iPad. "What song are listening to?" he asked with curiosity.
She snatched it away before he could see.
Ah, there it was. The fight he'd craved.
"Easy tiger, just wanted to know what's made you so relax." he teased.
"None of your business," she retorted.
He pushed further. "Pop ballad?" he guessed, dragging out the words in a sing-song voice. "Heavy metal anthem for the misunderstood soul?" he paused before furrowing his brows in a mocking disbelief. "Gospel choir?"
She chuckled despite herself at his ridiculous predicament. She knew he was only teasing her, not really trying to guess. With a hesitation she stepped closer to him and slipped the headphones over his head.
"Here, that's the song." she murmured.
The music filled his ears - a slow alt-rock song. He didn't know the title, but he liked the alluring melody.
my hearts been empty, my thoughts depressed what I'm needing baby is your your sweet caress your soft caress
As he looked at her still standing very close due to the short cable of her headphones, their eyes met, their bodies invaded their personal space, creating something unexpectable; a moment of intimacy that caught them both off guard.
you, the only light in this room yours, the only blood I can taste
The words and the music set the atmosphere very quickly. For a moment, he didn't pull away, didn't break the eye contact, watching her reaction. His eyes lowered to her lips and her cheeks flushed a light pink as she guessed his thoughts. She quickly took a step back.
Self-concious, she thought to herself What the hell was that? Their situation was already messed up enough. This, this unwelcome attraction, was the last complication she needed.
She decided to break the tension and snatched the headphones back, her eyes avoiding his intense stare. "Well? uhm... Did you like it? The song I mean."
He blinked, the intensity in his gaze dimming slightly.
"The song... was nice, very mood setting." he admitted, his voice low.
The truth was, the unexpected intimacy had surprised him as well. He'd been trying to draw her out, to make her engage with him, and for a moment, something entirely else had happened. And the strange thing was... he wanted to explore that further, even though he knew better than anyone the dangers of letting emotions get in a way, especially with someone as unpredictable as Evelyn.
But boredom and attraction was a dangerous mix.
"In other circumstances I'd ask you for a dance..." he teased her to see her cheeks getting even more red. "But we have more important things to do."
So getting back to more... professional arrangement, he asked her to come with him to the living room to help him with another task. And she thanked in her thoughts that he mentioned work. This was something she could handle better than emotions and a sudden moment of unwanted attraction.
The little tasks he'd given her were getting easier to do, though she still was figuring out how to use his network to her advantage. She knew all to well that she had to prove herself to be useful otherwise their agreement, their deal would be broken. As much as she was tempted to mess things up, to give him false opinions so to put his network in danger, she couldn't. He was not easily fooled and she didn't have all the details to know how exactly his network worked. It was a great obstacle, but maybe she could still devise something?
"Is there anything more challenging than that?" She asked as she feigned interest. "Maybe a field trip? Or something more complicated I can work on alone?"
He looked at her reading her facial expression. He wasn't surprised by her boredom, but he also knew that she wasn't invested enough to actually look for something more ambitious.
"Bored, are we?" he saw right through her ploy, but pretended like he didn't. "There's definitely more challenging work." he admitted, leaning back on the sofa. "But trust is earned, not demanded. Field trips, as you so delicately phrased it, are a privilege, not a right."
The implication was clear, she hadn't earned that level of freedom yet. She bit her inner cheek in dissatisfaction.
"But..." he continued. "earn my trust first, impress me. Show me you can handle the basics flawlessly, that your mind is as sharp as I believe it to be. Then, and only then, can we discuss expanding your… horizons."
It was a carrot dangling just out of reach. A challenge of a different sort. Just not the one she wanted. "Alright." she conceded. "Challenge accepted."
When the task was done, he put away the laptop and stretched his shoulders. He glanced towards her, expecting her usual retreat to her room. But instead, she lingered, her eyes looking at tv. She hesitated for a moment. “You mentioned there’s a PlayStation here.” she says. "Mind if I play something?"
"Sure, why not?" he replied surprised and shrugged. "Be my guest."
He walked over to tv and reached for the controller, turning the console on. From his perspective, most of the games looked like childish things. But he was curious to see what she'd choose.
She scanned the list, until her finger pointed at a title adorned with a grotesque, pixelated monster. "This one." She said grinning.
His eyebrows shot up. "Horror survival, huh?"
He clicked play and handed her the controller. He settled back on the sofa watching her navigating through the game. He could see an obvious message in her selection. She was trying to show him her ability to handle fear and pressure. It was amusing though. Horror games had nothing to do with the real horror he had witnessed, but it was still impressive how easily she maneuvered through the quests and her reaction on what was happening on the screen. The amusement in her eyes as the game threw jump scares at her was unexpected. Where others might scream, she giggled with a thrill. The occasional curse word slipped through her lips when a particularly difficult enemy appeared, but it was clear she wasn't scared, she was… entertained.
As the game progressed, he found himself watching not just the screen, but her reactions. He couldn't deny there was something captivating about seeing her navigate the dark, digital world full of monsters and gore.
The final boss was defeated after a long battle and she leaned back with a triumphant grin on her face. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Elias watching her attentively. Mission was accomplished. She'd proven her point, but she wasn't done yet. Reloading the game to the last save point, right before the epic battle, she thrust the controller into his hand. "Your turn." she declared.
He stared at the controller with a question in his eyes. Did she seriously expect him to play a childish horror game? He was a man who directed real-world horrors, not silly digital nightmares.
"Scared you can't handle it?" she teased, her grin widening.
The word "scared" wasn't something he would feel. More like nah, but he couldn't say no to a little competitiveness.
"Please..." With a sigh that was half-amused, half-exasperated, he grasped the controller and leaned forward towards the screen.
She watched him with keen interest. He lacked the... finesse, but he compensated with sheer brute force, charging at the monster mercilessly. He had a different kind of strategy, but it was working nonetheless. His brow furrowed in concentration, his fingers flying across the controller buttons. Watching him playing also gave her a chance to admire his features. His jawline, his nose, his arms, his eyes...Damn, there was something in him that made her thoughts cruise towards dangerous concepts and she couldn't figure why.
Distracted she almost missed the ending of the battle when with a one final click, the creature crumpled, dissolving into a pool of blood.
She clapped her hands slowly. "Not so bad."
"Not so bad?!" he asked feigning being offended. "I've basically smashed him without giving him a chance to react."
She chuckled. "Alright, you’ve got skills, you killed the monster...almost as fast as I did."
He looked at her, slightly smiling. Her playful teasing and a video game might not be the kind of entertainment he had hoped for, but it was something that killed his boredom at least.
"Another round?" he asked giving the control pad back into her hand.
The next morning, Evelyn found herself alone in the kitchen. As she munched on a piece of toast, a movement on the floor caught her eye. When she looked down she saw a small black spider, no bigger than a pea.
"Well, hello there." she murmured, crouching down. She cupped her hand, gently coaxing the spider onto her palm. "Lost your way, little guy? Stuck inside this big cabin, just like me?"
Passing by, Elias heard her voice and curiously stepped into the kitchen to see who she was talking to. He leaned against the doorway. Evelyn, oblivious to his presence, continued her one-sided chat.
"Looks like we both need a little fresh air, wouldn't you agree?" she said, her voice gentle.
There was a moment of silence, then a soft chuckle escaped his lips. Talking to a spider? Somewhat charming in its own way.
She jumped, startled, the spider nearly tumbling from her hand. She turned to Elias.
"He seems a little lost..." she said glancing at the spider. "Do you mind if I let him out?"
"Front door's locked, of course." he said, his voice dry. "But if you're truly intent on releasing your eight-legged friend…" He reached into his pocket, pulling out a key.
Her eyes lit up. "Thank you." she exclaimed. "I wouldn't want to keep him prisoner, you know."
Her obvious suggestion made him roll his eyes. Kept thinking she was a prisoner of his? Even after the last night of gaming? He sighed, leaving it without a comment.
He walked to the front door. He unlocked it with a soft click and opened it wide, letting in the fresh morning air. He watched as she stepped outside, carefully lowering her hand to the ground. The spider scurried off into the grass.
As she straightened up her eyes lingered on the sun-dappled expanse of trees beyond the porch. She hadn't been outside since she had gotten here. It made her feel sad.
She turned around to Elias, and almost hesitantly, the words tumbled out of her mouth. "Can we go for a walk?" She knew he wouldn't let her venture out alone, but maybe he'd go with her?
He raised an eyebrow, studying her for a long moment. He wasn't naive. He tried to deduct if there was a hidden motive behind her request for fresh air. The chance that she'd try to run away again was high, but... There was also an opportunity for her to earn his trust. And he was curious to see what she'd choose.
"Alright, but behave yourself." he finally answered. "And don't even think about trying anything… foolish."
Her heart started to beat a little faster. "I promise." she said. "Just a walk. That's all."
With a slow nod, he conceded. "Alright. Let's go."
The crisp air, the scent of pine, the sunlight on her face – it was a sensory fulfillment for Evelyn. Nature, with its chaos and beauty, had always held a special place in her heart. She loved hiking, jogging in parks, walking in woods... It made her feel at peace, relaxed. But this time, this walk with Elias was laced with uncertainty and she couldn't stop feeling a nervous anticipation. She couldn't enjoy the walk that way. Not with his watchful presence like a shadow at her back. His distrust felt almost physical.
She turned her head and glanced at him, wondering. If he truly believed she was an immediate escape risk, wouldn't he have kept her locked inside? Maybe this walk was to test her trustworthiness? Or maybe, a thrill-seeker himself, he secretly counted on a little rebellion?
She stopped abruptly, causing him to stumble slightly in surprise. Turning, she tilted her head towards him.
"A little space, Elias?" she suggested. "I did promise not to disappear into the woods, after all." She paused before she took a risk, teasing "Although, a friendly jog might be tempting. Running and jogging are two entirely different things, right?"
He narrowed his eyes trying to see if she was joking or not. Jogging could easily be a prelude to a full-on escape attempt. Surely she didn't expect him to fall for that, did she?
"Yeah, sure... try and jog to freedom, we'll see how far can you get." he mocked.
"Probably farther then the last time." she murmured more to herself than to him. It wasn't an extend attempt to tease him further, but the words escaped her mouth before she stopped herself.
"I was joking." she quickly added unsure of his reaction.
He smirked. "Fine. A little space. But remember." he continued "don't push your luck too far. The woods may be vast, but my patience isn't."
She glanced back at him, as he stepped back, giving her more space, but his gaze was locked on her every move. No threat though. No anger. Was that… a challenge in his eyes?
Taking a deep breath, she started walking away, slowly at first, pushing the boundaries of the space he'd granted. She kept him within sight however, trying to see if he reacted in any way.
He felt amused watching her hesitant retreat. The confusion in her eyes, the temptation to run and the fear that stopped her from acting on her instincts, were enterteining.
Part of him, the pragmatic part, wanted her to behave. He required her cooperation. And a runaway Evelyn was a useless Evelyn.
But another part of him wouldn't mind the chase, the thrill of the hunt. If she was to disobey, to run, he could catch her once again. And he wouldn't deny enjoying it as a distraction from the usual monotony.
Yet he saw a shift in her. A defeated sigh escaped her lips. She wasn't going to run. Self-preservation won of course. Slowly, she began to walk back towards him.
"Done testing the boundaries?" he asked. There was no accusation in his tone, just a hint of curiosity.
She looked at him. "Not exactly." she replied. "But I won't run. I'm not stupid enough to shatter whatever tiny trust you have in me, that results in giving me this... freedom."
The word trust stayed with him. He studied her for a long moment, searching for any sign of deceit. But all he saw was a woman who, despite her defiance, was making a good reasonable choice.
"But you want to run or at least try just for the thrill of it." he simply stated. "if you weren't scared for your life, you'd hare off into the woods before I could blink twice."
She shrugged. "Maybe..." she felt irritated how easily he could read her. "But it doesn't matter, cause you wouldn't let me even think about it, am I right?"
"Maybe...." he pondered. "Or maybe I would."
His words surprised her. She stopped and turned to him. "You would...let me think about it?"
He glanced at her. "Depends, are you feeling restless?"
"Should I be?" she asked suspicious as she crossed her arms.
He shrugged. "Last evening we competed over a video game. You challenged me and it was... fun." he paused thinking about his next words. "Maybe in return I can offer you a similar activity to satisfy your primal urge to run without it being a constant itch for both of us."
She slightly tilted her head. "What do you mean?"
He smirked. Chaos could be an asset, if it was controlled chaos.
He couldn't deny a perverse pleasure in this constant push and pull with her, so maybe there could be a way to satisfy both their desires.
He outlined the rules of this little game he'd just created. She would have a head start, a chance to run back to the cabin. If she reached the safety of the porch before he caught her, he would grant her… a temporary reprieve. More freedom of her choosing.
But there was a catch. The run had to be to the cabin, and nowhere else. Stray from the designated path, and the game was over. He would catch her, eventually, but the consequences of breaking the rules wouldn't be pleasant.
"Think of it as running on a leash." he finished.
She furrowed her brows. She understood the thrill of the chase, the adrenaline rush... Yes, it would help her release the restless energy and even perhaps create a temporary satisfying illusion of running away from him. And if she won, she'd have a chance for more freedom. But she saw that this game was more of a twisted form of amusement designed solely for his entertainment, then anything of a real value for her.
"A leash?" she spat. "I'm not a dog, Elias."
He sighed. Why did she always have to niggle over everything he said? Couldn't she just accept the damn game, play by his rules for once?
"Look." he sighed, his voice laced with a hint of frustration, "call it what you want. But the offer stands. Reach the cabin first, and you get a little… freedom. More walks, less tasks, whatever. Disobey the rules, and well…" he trailed off, letting the unspoken threat get to her.
"And if you catch me before I make it?" she asked.
"There'll be no rewards for you. And as for me, well..." he moved his head slightly to sides in a playful manner. "Let's say I'll get to decide what to do with your free time for one day."
She glanced away, thinking. The bait was tempting, even if it was just that, a bait.
He waited for her answer. She'd showed him how competitive she could be, so there was a good chance that she wouldn't decline his offer.
"So..." he finally said. "are you in?"
Worst timing
Pairing: Yamato x Mugiwara!reader
Summary: You are known to have the worst timing in your crew, you just don't know when is the right time is and on Onisganshima nothing is different.
A/N: light early Oniganishima spoilers; mention of reader being moody as Ulti
Masterlist
You loved chaos, creating havoc was something you were good at, but being with a captain such as yours it was an easy task actually. Part of the crew, read Nami and Usopp, really hated this nature of yours: always chasing danger; the others didn't care too much.
Seeing Kidd and his crew entering the Live Floor got your blood boiling, you decided to follow behind him, maybe trying to get in first.
"YN STOP HIM" your captain screamed from behind you which made Zoro scream at the two of you to stop being so reckless and reminded that you had a plan to follow. Whatever the swordman said next, didn't got processed by your ears, let alone your brain.
The inside of the Live Floor was filled with drunken warriors that sometimes will stop you for a drink or a flirt, you excused yourself saying you had to search for your party.
"Come on let's have some fun" a drunk man said, hanging his arm on your shoulders "you can find your friends later" you gave the man a creepy smile and then a sloppy punch, making him fall on the ground. You laughed maniacally jumping some steps behind. The man stood up confused and was about to ask the reason behind the punch.
"Oh I am terribly sorry, I thought you were one of those idiotic samurais" you laughed and the rest of the warriors followed you in a fist of laughter. "Please forgive me, now I really have to go" and with that you left the group and run to find your captain.
It didn't took long to do so, you just had to follow the chaos he was creating himself. It made you giggled. Seeing Luffy loosing his temper was such a blessing for your eyes, it was such an amazing moment to witness. Zoro was on your side some moments after, scrolling his head for the stupidity of his captain.
"They were throwing the soup at each other for fun" he said, voice so deep it made you shiver head to toes. Uh uh you thought, remembering your meeting with O-Toma and how happy she was to eat a simple, yet delicious, red been soup with rice.
At what the captain said Zoro too started to loose his temper, how could they do such a thing was behind reason for the three of you. The swordman smirked, this meant you were going to beat up some guys that came your ways and this was the best part of the day.
After a pair of punches and kicks threw here and there you decided it was time to leave and head for your target, it was no use to waste your energies and time for some small fishes like them.
"Where to captain?" you asked following Luffy just a little behind him, he knew where to go better than you or Zoro. The teen pirate just pointed somewhere above your heads, but of course the enemies knew better than stopping you.
While on your way, the trip got cut due to a pair or people falling from the floor above, both of them had a mask covering half their faces. Luffy being Luffy somehow managed to infuriate the girl which decided to give start to a battle between her and your captain; you on the other hand just laughed at the girl.
"You really thing you can handle him?" you said in between laughs, this behaviour of yours got under the boy's skin, he trasnformed himself into a weird looking animal, a dinosaur. You recall having saw some on Robin's history books.
Another useless fight started between the four of you: Luffy against the girl and you against Pa-tan?
"You surely have a weird name, dinosaur." you said, vortcing around his body. The animal-boy got even more angry. I stroke a nerve, you told yourself, so you kept on annoying him about his appareance and weird name.
It all happened in a second. You heard the girl screaming and your opponent's attention was on her in an instant and so yours. You looked around trying to find Luffy but he was nowhere to be found. When you saw the whole on the ground you suspected he was there and he was.
He emerged some minutes later, reading to pick the fight from where he left it but his opponent was going to give him a harsh attack if it wasn't for a new presence in the room, that saved your captain from a painful collide of heads.
"PA-TAN" cried the girl, the boy on her side in a second leaving you surprised and sad about not having anyone to beat up. "YAMATO YOU ARE DEAD" she said punching Pa-Tan stomach, you laughed. You surely were bipolar but she was worst than you.
The new presence put both of your enemies down with such ease you wondered who they were but you couldn't ask anything since they were trying to have a conversation with Luffy.
Not wanting to get killed by the dinousar siblings, you decided to call them that, you were following Yamato, that was the name he introduced himself to Luffy, and your captain away from your enemies.
"AND WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING US?" he asked looking behind at you
"Becuase I am with him" you said pointing at Luffy
"You could have saved me, Yamao LET ME GO I HAVE TO BE SOMEWHERE"
"NOT BEFORE I TALKED TO YOU"
You wanted to scream at them to stop yelling at each other but everytime you tried they started bickering until Luffy finally gave in.
"great, but not here. People can hear us" and this is how you ended up on the attic of the castle.
Yamato presneted himself once again, esording with the fact that Kaido is his father; Luffy wanted to leave already, then he mentioned Ace and how he wished so much to go out at sea with him but couldn't not when his father imprisoned him on Wano installing him the fear that he would have died if he left the cuntry; then at the end he showed himself. Taking off the mask and the sleeves of his shirt you were meet with... A woman?
"You said you were Kaido's son?!" Luffy was confused. Did he heard wrong? "You are not a man"
You were astonished, in a good way that is. You never saw such beauty before.
"Oh my god you are soooooo handsome. Are you single?"
"Y/N this is not the time" said Luffy desparate about your attitude. "we have to kill Kaido" he remembered you.
"And let me out of those" Yamato said.
"I know, I know. So, are you single or not?" He didn't answer you, instead asked Luffy if he was able to let him free. The pirate nodded. "I guess I have to wait. Well, one more reason to not die in this battle then."
And with that Luffy freed Yamto from his cuffss they exploded sending the three of you flying back on the Live Floor.
"Not a good start to my promise." you rolled your eyes.
Sorry, HBABL and Nemesis are a brainworm now. You fed me once, now I'm back. How much can you tell me about his relationship with Judge? :>
WAGGGGGGHGHHH ANOTHER ASK I AM BEING SPOILED!! ;----; THANK U SO MUCH I love Judge and Nemesis, they make me so incredibly emo. A lot of stuff regarding them is spoiler heavy so I will try to be as spoiler free as possible. Their first meeting is, uh, very intense.
“I’m the devil that ate your ma,” he replied, breath rich with the scent of brimstone and iron, “I’m the beast living beneath the hood of your car. I’m the demon she summoned, the demon she couldn’t control. And I’ve got no heart, little witch, but I’m in the market for one.” He tightened his grip on Nemesis’s wrist. The world around the two of them had begun burning in earnest now, fire raging up the walls, eating through the desecrated remains of the hayloft, the roof and all the sinister bones of children stockpiled in the rafters too. Chaos paced and snarled among the flames, circling the two of them, uncertain of how best to kill the demon that had his master trapped. “Mine won’t do you any good,” Nemesis said, voice razored shrapnel, torn at the edges with prideful malice, relentless fear. “It’s rotten to the core.”
But they very quickly develop uhhh. a one-of-a-kind friendship that might also border on something else.
“You know what,” Nemesis said, his headache beginning to return, “I think you should try.” “Try what?” Judge asked. “Putting that thing in your mouth.” Judge snorted, stepping forward as if he actually meant to do just that. And the rooster’s head fell right off.
For context, they're talking about a magical rooster. Anyways. SO JUDGE AND NEMESIS are two idiots who kind of ran into each other through a mix of chance, dumb luck, fate, and the fact that yeah, Judge did, in fact, eat Nemesis's mother. He's a demon that got summoned by her that wants to devour the heart of the mythical living city he's had his eyes on for about two hundred years. Only problem? No one's ever found the heart before. Thankfully, Nemesis is a True Witch, which means he has a one-of-a-kind power that lets him see the history of anything he touches. If they work together, they might just have a chance at finding something no one else ever has - and doing it before October 31st, when Nemesis's curse will kill him. Judge promises to use the power that eating such a powerful magical artifact will give him in order to break Nemesis's curse, and they strike up a transactional deal that way. However, they're incredibly vulnerable and impactful foils for each other, because both of them are trying to save themselves from really horrible fates, and feel horribly, terribly alone in the hostile worlds they've been born into. For both of them, they're truly, ultimately the first person ever to like...be wholly in each other's court. Nemesis has never had anyone to step up to the plate for him before, and neither has Judge. They're both incredibly fucked up individuals on their own who have a lot of trauma, a lot of secrets, and a lot of negative ways of reacting to the world as a result. But at the end of the day, both of them have been deeply and overwhelmingly failed by the world. Nemesis and Judge both react to outstretched arms with the feral energy of dogs that have been hit too many times, baring their fangs even while their tails wag like a plea. They want connection. They're desperate for connection. But they've been hurt and betrayed one too many times to trust that they'll ever get it from someone else.
The transactional aspect of their deal eventually begins to bleed into genuine care for each other, especially as more truths come to light about their histories. Nemesis learns to care about someone else, and Judge does the same. The thing about Nemesis too is that he's been in survival mode for literally his entire life. He's spent the last decade in his own court, trying to save his own life, thinking only of himself, and Judge is the first person who ever shows up and goes to bat for him and makes Nemesis want to be selfless and want to save someone other than himself.
There's also this painfully personal aspect to both of them where both Judge and Nemesis are too stubborn to give up, despite the parts of them that plead and beg to just be done. To lay down and give up and let it be over, let themselves lose the war. Despite his fangs and his anger and his caustic attitude, Nemesis is built on hope. He runs on hope. He's the complete opposite of what you would expect out a hopeful character, but that's literally his driving factor. Hope that he can break his curse. Hope that he can live. Hope that he can continue on to see another day, another week, another month, and fight for that possibility until he can't anymore.
And Judge is kind of like... his well of hope is empty. He's fighting because he knows how to do nothing else. And Nemesis is the one who gives that back to him, and also, in learning to want for someone else's safety and happiness in survival with Judge, teaches Judge how to get back up and keep going too. There's a lot of ways these two mirror and reflect each other, and I can't get into all of it without massive spoilers, but I am obsessed with them. I love them so much.
“Judge—” Nemesis rasped, but the name went nowhere. Abruptly, all at once, Nemesis had no idea what to say. “Do you understand now?” Judge snapped at him, his eyes cutting to Nemesis’s and away again. “Do you get it, Nemesis? I need you just as much as you need me. Because I don’t know what I am. I don’t know who I am. I don’t even know if all of me is here in this body at all! All I know is that the heart in this city might tell me, might show me, and then—then I can—” His voice cracked. “You are not the only one,” he said, “trying to save your own life.”
"Sooner or later, you'll understand. I had to do this. This is for your own good, okay? Let me take care of you."
I love this for Terry. As terrifying and restrictive and authoritarian as he most definitely is, under the surface, I feel like there's a little ember of well-meaning there. Because his way is obviously the best and only way.
---
Terry is good.
Terry Silver is good.
He's done so good.
Sure, the room to your chambers is locked, and you had carved iron bars on all of your windows installed as a precaution, but that was the way it has to be because it is an extreme measure in a likewise extreme situation. Because you're acting extreme, so he counters you in extreme ways, his hand extremely pushed. Don't you know that the energy you put out into the world is the energy you'll inadvertently get back? The glass you pour into is the glass you drink from? Especially where he was concerned? That if you bite him he'll simply neuter you? De-claw and skin you singlehandedly so you can't do that shit anymore, keeping your hide and teeth as trophies? All these things; plush, velvet gold-embroidered thread pillows. Egyptian cotton covers. Heavy brocade drapes. Antiques. Persian carpets. Original Majolica lamps. Cobalt decorations drawn out in silver ornaments. A window overlooking the skyline of Los Angeles from The Hills for your abode - all of it at the palm of your hand. He's done so well. For you. Terry could and would do even better, if you only let him. There's a pool on the ground-floor. An army of staff, waiting to serve you. A wardrobe he's compiled for you that you haven't even had a chance to check. Twenty eight cars in just one the garages alone. Artwork and jewelry. A private plane, willing to take you anywhere. And him, just a corridor away from your room. What kind of idiot says no to heaven? One in need of being taught a lesson, clearly. And since you were Terry Silver's idiot, the task and the right was his and his alone.
-"Sooner or later, you'll understand. I had to do this. This is for your own good, okay? Let me take care of you."-
He reasons with you, from the other side of the locked door, caressing its edges, like a lover does. Not because he's afraid of you or your tiny, downright amusing fists banging on the hard, massive wooden surface --- far from it --- it entertained him almost, and aggrieved him just as much; this lack of appreciation on your part; Terry could easily subdue you in one swift move and avoiding physical confrontation was not why this door was placed between you and him --- but because you did't deserve to see him. You've been ungrateful. You've lacked discipline. You weren't ready to receive. And he'd teach you to how to receive, in due time. Taught you would be. If you simply smashed up the whole chamber you were kept in and all the beautiful things in it, you'd sleep in a messy, sad wreckage, and that would serve no one but your own discomfort. If you rejected all the fine food you were brought, you'd merely go hungry and torment yourself. If you spat at him he'd wipe it off with his finger placed into his mouth and smile at you, tasting it. But, you wouldn't leave. You wouldn't. Because if an animal could be made to understand --- if an animal that bites could be tamed, have its claws cut, if it could be trained, collared, taught to sit, stand to attention, to expect its bowl when fed, to accept pets, to allow itself be bathed and taught tricks, why should people be any different? Thing is, they weren't. An owner didn't hate their pet when they'd come to the decision to give their animal a time-out by ushering them into their fenced off pen.
It was discipline, and discipline was love. It could be, yes.
Because it taught a higher, more polished form of self.
Got rid of all the weakness, limitations, grime and unnecessary chaos --- all doubt --- took a loved form of rough, rugged clay and made it greater than it ever thought it could become, leaving the doors open for growth and opportunity, and once you were ready to receive, your doors, both figurative and literal, would open too --- and Terry would be patient and wait on the other side, because Terry was good. He could be so good if you only let him.
1. What is your OC's relationship to their family - biological or found?
2. Does your OC act differently around different people?
3. Is your OC a good leader? Do they like to lead or do they prefer to follow?
4. Who influenced them the most on their journey?
5. Do they have any siblings?
For my best friend Kit, of course <3
Yeeesssss, my darling Kit! As per usual, you're getting both Kit versions :)
1. What is your OC's relationship to their family - biological or found?
Biological family? Bad. I mean, 80s!Kit ran away from home, that should tell you how she feels about them. But at least they leave her alone now. As for her found family, Kit would gladly bite a bullet for the A-Team. She likes to bicker at them and gets angry at them sometimes, but she loves those guys and they love her. Her and B.A. are mechanic buddies, and Face always gets a heart attack when he sees her with a mechanic's overall bound at her waist, muscled chest and arms covered in grease, so he's not complaining about getting to spend less time with her. She also picks up some of B.A.'s speech patterns sometimes, and he's an enabler of her violence. Murdock and Kit together get up to the wildest shenanigans, and anyone who those shenanigans are directed at is gonna have a bad time. Hannibal treats her much better than her own father ever did, so Kit respects him a lot more as well and she trusts him. If she's an attack dog, he's holding her leash and gladly letting her sprint at this week's bad guy while he smokes a cigar. The two of them sometimes bicker back and forth, it's fun! And Face? Well, well, well, Templeton Peck... He's head over heels for her and he can't help it. Kit honestly thinks he's a bit of an idiot, but he's her idiot, and anyone who dares to hurt him is gonna get severely hurt themselves.
Much like 80s!Kit, movie!Kit also ran away from home. His first found family was the circus, and, for the first time, he felt like he belonged somewhere. But then, his father found him again, and he decided to join the military, at which point he decided to pretend to be a man because that's just generally more practical in a military setting. Only that he realized he actually liked being a man, and the unexpected gender euphoria transed his gender. That didn't really help with the fear of being discovered though. But that's where the A-Team comes in, because this found family is where Kit feels safe and where he's accepted for who he is. Not only that, but all four of those guys are willing to throw hands at any transphobes in the blink of an eye. Hannibal is Kit's father, and anyone who says otherwise will be quickly proven wrong. If he could adopt the little bundle of anger and energy, he would. He's also one of the few people who can actually manage to calm Kit down, which is an incredible feat. Face is kind of down bad for Kit, but it only takes a few magic words from Face for Kit to be just as down bad for him too. These two are a nightmare to have kidnapped at the same time because they will whine and complain so much and be so dramatic and talk so much bullshit that you'll let them go willingly. Also an absolute battle couple. Murdock and Kit, once again, are absolute chaos. Enemies (and allies, honestly) beware. It takes a Colonel Hannibal Smith to keep these two in line, or at least to channel their chaos into something useful. B.A. and Kit, once again, are besties. If Murdock is the chaos sibling, B.A. is the cool sibling. These two are usually just chilling, but if you provoke them to hit things, they will hit things.
2. Does your OC act differently around different people?
Both of them, yeah, because the A-Team are almost the only people that both Kits don't hate. Also, movie!Kit only makes trans jokes if he's alone with the A-Team, for obvious reasons.
3. Is your OC a good leader? Do they like to lead or do they prefer to follow?
I'd say both of them probably aren't, no. They either work alone or have to follow others, because they're not good at planning. They both don't like being ordered around, but they listen to Hannibal on a base of respect.
4. Who influenced them the most on their journey?
Their fathers, hands down. Both as in their biological fathers and as in Hannibal, for movie!Kit even more so than for 80s!Kit.
5. Do they have any siblings?
Do Murdock and B.A. count? But biological, I actually don't know. I feel like they don't, but they probably have some cousins that they used to be close to but left behind when they ran away from home.
Thanks so much for your ask! Have a wonderful day! <3
🥊💥4* Town Conflicts pt. 2!💥🥊
IM ALLLIIIVEEEEEE!!!!
Im so sorry yall!! University has been KICKING MY ASS.
I just finished exams and everything, this years been a colossal mess (nearly died lol) BUT i couldn't forget about this so i managed to finish this up before the end of the year!
I promise I have more in the tank, please bear with me and tysm for your patience!!😭😭🙏🏾
🧡Aaron Z🧡
With others
Z is a pretty peaceful guy in general
He doesn't like confrontation, doesn't like to get violent
As quiet as he can be, he doesnt let some things slide
If someone throws a comment here or there, he can ignore it easily
But dont test his patience
Hes a huge advocate for a little something called personal space
He cant stand it when strangers or people he's not comfortable with are inside his bubble
If you pester him, harass him, or stay too close to him for too long, he will not hesitate to push back
literally
He would never start a fight, but he sure can end it
I mean, have you SEEN this dude?
6’3, lean, muscular, you're pretty much asking for an L
He’s a one hit wonder. One punch and youre gone (Jesse knows this all too well…he tried waking him up once…)
“I began to pass out…and then my head hit the wall, bam!”
With 4*town
He's pretty chill with 4*town out of the rest of them
The only thing he could really complain about was when the gangs energy was way too high for him to be comfortable with
Don't get him wrong, Z loves a good time. But when things are getting a bit too hyper, and the others try to rope him into the chaos, it's a bit too overwhelming
And that ended up with them "accidentally" leaving him out of stuff because they thought he was a downer. Especially when 4*town had just started
He was already a bit lonelier than the rest, as his popularity took a slower time to gain than the rest. This didn't help his insecurities in the slightest
Not only did it hurt the hell out of his feelings, it caused him to be more closed up towards the rest
Aaron T was surprisingly the one who noticed the negative impacts it was making on him, and he felt incredibly bad
He tried the "helping without confronting" tactic, a lot of which included him asking Z if he wanted to help him with his latest prank
Although reluctant, Z slowly started feeling a bit more appreciated
Even when he was the butt of the prank, T made him feel like he wasn't so invisible as he sometimes felt
Soon, even the other guys started asking if he'd help them do revenge pranks, started inviting them more often
And of course, gave him a well deserved apology
Turns out, he got a lot of it wrong. Apparently everybody thought he didn't like them because of his constant nonchalant expressions??
All this because they made assumptions about his feelings only from his face?
"...i'm surrounded by idiots." "WE'RE SO SORRY😭😭"
💙Aaron T💙
With others
He loves a good tussle
If you give him a reason to, he'll be delighted
T wont fight for small reasons, obviously, but he is the perfect definition of "fuck around and find out"
Just don't do anything creepy or rude, and you stay on his good side
His biggest ick/pet peeve are creeps and stalkers, unnecessary paparazzi
Notice the unnecessary. He's not shy around cameras, and if his lovely fans want some content, who is he to deny them?😌
However, if there's hidden paparazzi, or people who follow him or his friends around, he can't stand it
He finds it gross and extremely disrespectful
And it makes him unbelievably uncomfortable. He hates having to feel as if there's always someone watching or taking pictures of him when all he wants is a damn coffee
With 4*town
T admits that he can be a bit of a handful sometimes
But jeez, sometimes the gang needs to accept the fact that he prefers to interact and actually do things with other people
Being an extrovert is hard y'all
Especially when all of a sudden every single person in your group needs alone time
And he understands that. He'll respect their wishes every single time without fail. He'd throw in a whine or two, but he understands their needs.
But they never seem to understand his..
When he needed company, all of a sudden everyone thought he was being too much, or being clingy
He has the urge to shake their shoulders and tell them that he wasn't asking them to plan a party with him, he just wanted to go get some damn groceries with some company
Was that too much to ask?
He thanks the Lord that Tae Young was there for him a lot of the time
He seemed to be the only one willing to be with him all the time
Tae Young noticed this pretty quick and all it took was one convo with the rest of them, and boom
For Z, it was like sticking his toe in the water when it came to hanging out with T, and then he found out just how fun his company was
And as stoic as Z is, T found himself latching onto him more frequently.
As for Jesse, he ended up being the brunt of T's pranks a lot, but he finds it endearing in a way.
Robaire found T absolutely hilarious, and has grown to treasure him more and more every day
scene im deleting from a fic draft bc its no longer compliant with plot plans but i liked it so im posting it :)
“It's a miracle he's alive,“ they say. A ridiculous notion, they’d realize, if only they knew more.
Rouge would like to think she knows lots about Project Shadow, a R&D commission that evolved into multiple artificial organisms classified in papers as government-owned WMDs. Papers stored and digitized detailing the mechanisms of chaos energy, the growth rate of monsters. She prepared to deliver the crown jewel of the stack, a report on the condition of the final Subject, P-610 “the Biolizard.” Its visage remained in her mind. Toothless gums poking out from behind scaled lips, its vacant expression leaving wide the empty orifices stuffed with tubes where eyes should be. On life support, the scientists said. Barely self-sustaining, with an aggressive demeanor and no apparent intelligence. The Biolizard should've been a dead end, cause for directional reconsideration. The Professor seemed to think so, but there was critical success in a single area: it just wouldn't die. So they locked it up where no one but the trustworthy tight lips had to look at it, and the report went into the dustbin servers.
Originally, all of it had gone in one ear and out the other, the only things lingering between what she could use as leverage for more valuable information. Fed bullshit, worth only what she could get paid for it, she told herself in front of the ARK's console. Then they started falling out of the sky.
Shadow's alive, they said. A few broken ribs, skin gnarled with burns, dead quills galore. But without the donated Chaos Emerald, it would've been much worse.
She can't get it out of her head. The Biolizard's gaping, tongueless mouth and the way the skin surrounding its eye holes crept around the tubes, like it was trying to grow around them. The underlined, circled text summarizing the scientists' report, the lone success. It burns.
The papers in her lap crunched in her hands. Subject P-618. An improvement from it's prototype in every way. Shadow is curled up on his side, paws clutched to his chest, cradling something invisible. His breathing is rhythmic.
With enough exposure to chaos energy, he'll wake up like all he'd had was some unpleasant nap.
”It's a miracle he's alive,“ they said, unknowing of what dangled at the tip of Rouge's tongue. Biologically immortal. It wasn't a surprise. She knew he'd survive atmospheric re-entry. She'd found the proof, right here in her hands, after the fact. It'd been ridiculous anyone thought otherwise, and they should feel like idiots for worrying.
She's not in control of her own body, sitting here with her ass parked in an uncomfortable chair. Why can't she stop staring?
This feeling is new and terrifying. It clogs her throat, bites at her eyes, and makes her chest constrict. Like for 29 hours she'd lost something valuable, immeasurable in carats and irreplaceable with money. Something had dug into her, the moment Sonic returned to collect them alone. She's sick.
Shadow is the cause, she's sure of it. She knows lots about Project Shadow. Dug through G.U.Ns databases for hours today so she would know more. Something about Shadow is contagious. Some disease he imparts onto others. The intelligent course of action would be to evacuate the danger zone.
She manages to tear her eyes away, but can't leave. She doesn't want to.
#heliiart#sth#i like writing rouge digging into her inner world especially so early in her character arc is interesting but really difficult#little bit intimidating
