the thing kate is in denial about isn’t joe. she knows about joe. she doesn’t CARE about what joe has done, because she wants to provide for her family. because she loves him. the thing kate is in denial about is her Son. because if she lets herself process what she knows, somewhere in the back of her head (the same way chris knows that joe did it) that larry is dead, then suddenly joe has killed people and she is truly alone in this world.
