Chapter 1. Writer's block.
swearing, unreality
‘Alistor is a smart kid.’ Delete. ‘The Number Manor is a large house.’ Delete. ‘Mr. Top is a clever man.’ He’s not even a main character! Delete, delete, delete. Alistor glared off their TV screen at their bored-looking reflection. “.. What do you suppose we do, Mirror-me?” They asked, setting their computer down and sitting up properly. Alistor’s reflection glanced back at them from their mirror version of Alistor’s computer.
“Eh? Oh. I dunno, you’re the creative bastard, aren’t you?” Their reflection shrugged and went back to scrolling through their website on the computer.
“Oh, you’re so helpful.”
“I like to think so.”
Alistor glared as they flopped back down onto the couch. Ugh. They grumbled as they key-spammed their keyboard and deleted it. Being a writer was hard.
“.. Y’know…” Their mirror voice rang out from the TV. Mirrorstor glanced at Alistor, an amused expression on their face. “I could take you to your silly lil’ story universe.”
Alistor looked at their TV again. “... How can you take me to the universe of a story that doesn’t yet exist?”
“The power of friendship.”
Alistor glared, preparing to grab their remote and throw on the TV so their reflection would disappear.
“I kid, I kid! It’s a joke! I can take you there using my magic mirror powers and show you what’s happening so you can base your fictional recounting on your actual experiences!”
Alistor paused. “.. You mean.. 1, 2, 3 and the gang… they’re real?”
“Just as real as you or I, my non-reflected fellow. You or I…” Mirrorstor trailed off.
“Well, I’m still not completely sold on you, but I’m over 87% sure I’m real, so that works for me.”
“That is a… shockingly low number for your sold-ability on yourself.”
“Everyone has their doubts.”
“I guess?”
Alistor shook their head. “Doesn’t matter. How do we go to my magic world of daemons, succubi, and such?”
“Good question! What if you take me to an actual mirror so I can show you?” Mirrorstor smiled.
“Boo. Bad idea. I object.” Alistor said, deadpanned. “Can’t you do it from here?”
“No, Alistor, I can not.”
“Why not?”
“Because!”
“Whatever! Fine! We’ll go to the mirror!” Alistor crossed their arms in annoyance.
“Yay!” Mirrorstor grinned. “I’m so, so, super happy. Literally going to explode from the amount of happiness I am experiencing.”
“Shut your mouth,” Alistor growled. Their reflection just cackled and disappeared.
Alistor grumbled as they walked to the bathroom mirror, hoisting their Chromebook for documentation. They stepped into the bathroom, flipped on the light, shut the door, and looked ‘Themself’ dead in the eye. “Kay, how long are we going to be gone?” They asked.
“Dude, 5 years there is like 5 minutes here. You won’t even be gone for 5 minutes.” Mirrorstor stated, gesturing dramatically.
“Okay, well, I don’t wanna stay for 5 years.” Alistor glared.
“Well, we won’t stay for 5 years- It was an example of how time works,” Mirrorstor stated. “Why is time so slow?” Alistor questioned. “For plot convenience.” “Ah. I see.” Alistor remarked.
Mirrorstor shook their head and beamed. “Unimportant! What is important is that your gay ass is going to your story! Cool, huh?”
“Oh, yeah. That. How do we get there?” Alistor tilted their head to the side. “Are you gonna, like, portal me to the next layer of the flipside?”
“That’s a really obscure reference no one will get. No, I’m not gonna portal you. Come here.”
“This is a vile, wicked hive of scum and villainy,” Alistor muttered before they leaned forward on the counter, placing their computer down to avoid dropping it into the sink.
Abruptly, a hand emerged from the mirror, enclosing their mouth and muting any potential screams. The touch of the hand was chilling, resembling the icy embrace of death. Its grasp felt excruciating, similar to tiny needles piercing their skin. Although the hand felt like a corpse, its grip was unyielding, refusing to release the terrified child. Without a sound, it forcefully dragged them into the depths of the mirror, plunging Alistor into pure darkness.

Chapter 2. A new friend(?)
reposting chapter 2 bc the last time i uploaded it it got like 3 notes.
unreality, minor swearing
Alistor blinked their eyes as they felt cold water splash their face. “-nna? CC? You up?” That startled them. They jolted up to find a concerned-looking woman. She was short, pale, and had blonde hair tied up in a ponytail with a blue rubber band. Freckles dotted her face, and her eyes were a startling blue shade that would put the clear sky to shame. She wore a tacky lavender v-neck and low-rise jeans. She looked plain.
“Who the hell are you?!” Alistor snapped, glaring up at the lady. “How d’you know my deadname?”
“My name’s Lily!” She smiled. “I was your first official character. We haven’t talked in a while. What’s a deadname?”
Alistor’s face fell. Lily?! Her? Of all the characters they could’ve woken up to? They pinched their nose bridge and sighed. “Oh, great, you, hello Lily.”
“Me! Yeah!” She smiled and brushed off her previous question. “How are you?”
“Horrible,” Alistor replied, “My head is pounding. I don’t know where I am. Where are we?”
Lily’s face fell slightly. “Oh. I hope you feel better soon. Um, we’re in my house because I saw you knocked out outside, and I knew that someone would get you and kill you, and I didn’t want to see you die!”
“How thoughtful.”
“Thank you!”
Alistor rolled their eyes and stood up. “Do you plan to keep me here forever?”
“No,” Lily hummed thoughtfully. “Well, I mean, not unless you want to stay?”
“I do not.”
“Oh, all right.”
Alistor sighed and went to go sit down. Their face hurt, and they had a migraine. What happened? Did they fall on their face? Or-
“Do you want something to drink? I have water, lemonade, milk… It could help you feel better!” Lily smiled.
“Yeah, uh, water...” Alistor trailed off and looked out the window at the scenery outside. The grass was a neon teal, with a few bushes of a similar color dotting the landscape. The trees were small and cobalt blue, and the sky was a bright pink, fading to a pleasant yellow. There were no clouds, but one golden circle was in the middle of the sky. It had a large eye on it that was glancing around frantically. Alistor looked away, unnerved.
Lily returned with a glass filled with ice and water. She placed it down in front of Alistor and smiled sweetly. “Here you go!”
“Thanks,” Alistor replied as they took the glass and drank from it. “Do you have any aspirin?”
“Maybe,” Lily hummed. “Let me check.” She quickly turned and walked out of the room again.
“... If Lily’s here… I wonder who else would be here… Mirror didn’t deny succubi and daemons and- Well, if Orona is here, then, surely, there has to be-”
Alistor’s thoughts were interrupted by Lily coming back into the room. “Nothing. Sorry, CC.”
Alistor grimaced at the nickname. “Call me Al.”
“Al? But how do you get Al from-”
“I have a different name now.”
“Oh. Okay! What’s your new name?”
Alistor sighed. “I go by Alistor. Not ‘CC’. Or the other name.”
“Okay!” Lily smiled brightly. “I’ll call you Alistor!”
“Thank you.”
“Of course!”
Alistor turned the cup slightly, sighing. “So… Where are we?”
Lily tilted her head, confused. “I already told you? We’re in my house.”
“No- I meant, like, general location.”
“Oh! Um, I’m not sure the place, but all I know is that we’re on land owned by… His name was 6?”
Alistor paused. “6?” Lily nodded.
“I’m pretty sure that’s what his name was.”
Alistor looked up at her. “Does- Does 6 have any siblings?
“3, I think…?” Lily trailed off. “Why?”
Alistor stood quickly.
Lily looked at them. “Why are we… What’s up?”
“I have to go. Now,” Alistor quickly walked to the front door.
“Wait, what? No! You can’t be going already! You basically just got here, you only recently got around-” Lily stated, worry clear in her voice.
“I’m already gone!” Alistor opened the door to the protest of Lily and stepped outside.
